For my money still one of the best BBQ spots in the valley. Great quality, great flavor. There mac and cheese is the bomb! They're not selling ambience this is a hole in the wall joint. But the food we generally get the family feast and can eat of off kt for days, all of their meats are good but I love the brisket and wife loves the hot links. Really I haven't had anything there that I haven't enjoyed. Give it a try!

This is among the very best BBQ that I have ever eaten! The cuisine is Southern BBQ, and everything is excellent. Menu items feature pulled pork, beef brisket, pulled chicken, and smoked sausage. For three dollars extra, you can add a side of pork ribs to your meal to increase the variety. Sides include baked beans (absolutely to die for), slaw, cornbread, mac & cheese, and sweet potato fries. All are fantastic. Prices are moderate, the atmosphere is very relaxed, and it's one of my newest "must visit" spots in Phoenix!

Most definitely the best BBQ in the valley. Make sure you get the sampler cause you won’t be able to choose. The zesty Mustard BBQ sauce was my favorite. The restaurant is a tad hard to find tucked away in a commercial type building and it’s pretty hot inside. Wish they would have turned the fans on! But for the food I give it 5 stars easy.

The Mac-n-cheese has real cheese in it and so delicious. All the food seems to have a spice kick to it which I love but others may not. The prices are spot on for us average middle class. My only issue was with parking, hard to find a spot. Right in front, next to Deer Valley Road is your best spot because along the building is reserved for other businesses. The location is odd, more industrial/commercial building.

Ribs were terrible, I went in today and ordered a half rack or ribs. First of all they were $15 for a half rack with no sides, then they were tough as rubber and had neither char or smoke ring/color. They not only had a boiled look but again were like chewing on a tire with no rub on it. They offered a “mop” slice that was like soy and teriyaki mixed, so a salt and sugar bomb basically. Employees were nice but I went there to eat not socialize.

I've been a big fan of pork on a fork since day one these guys are awesome for me it's the best barbecue in the Phoenix area. My major recommendation is the beef brisket but all of their meats are great. the location is a bit difficult to find but it is definitely worth it it's across from the deer Valley airport

If you like smoke, this the place. I sampled the pulled chicken (they use the thigh) and pork, as well as the brisket (well trimmed). The coleslaw was creamy and flavorful. My son tried the beans, and the mac and cheese. He really enjoyed his platter. My buddy added sausage to his meal. This is a legit BBQ place that you must try for yourself. The sauses were savory and good with two red sauces (one "hot" and one not), not on the sweet side. The hot was good, but mildly noticeable on the heat scale. And, that mustard sause was distinctly mustardy...not vinegary, for those who are the curious hard core Carolinians in search of the perfect pulled pork. There is an absence of seating up front. But, when you follow around to get your drinks, down the corridor the mystery is solved. There is a generous seating area in the back (still inside) with a high ceiling. There are a few flat screens and the atmosphere was great. Lots of friendly faces. We went on a holiday Monday for lunch and there still was a good crowd. I was so into my food, I forgot to take a picture to post. This place is about one minute from the Deer Valley Airport.

I was eating here a lot when they first opened and the ribs reminded me of Chicago (where I move from 6 years ago)style but somewhere over a 3 years the ribs stop tasting as good. Now this place is still one of the top places to eat from my opinion here in the valley but again to me not a great as it use to be when they first opened

Absolutely the best bbq in Phoenix. We've been here for 3yrs and this is the closest thing to real Texas bbq you're going to find in AZ. Love the Carolina mustard sauce, reminds me of home. Best of both worlds. Staff is fantastic, and prices are beyond reasonable. We got the sampler and my husband and I were full. They honor their military families as well. It's worth the drive across town no doubt.

A sad excuse for what is generously referred to as BBQ. A heap of desiccated pork on a bun with some sort of misflavored discount-store sauce. A substantial quantity of water was needed to choke it down. The tiny cornbread muffin was just pathetic, both in size and quality. The ambience was just south of a grade school cafeteria, with a dose of school bus garage thrown in for good measure. On the plus side, the sweet potato fries were OK. If you’re from a place that actually serves up real BBQ (NC, Memphis, Kansas City...) and you’re thinking you’ll get a taste of home here, be prepared for disappointment instead. There’s plenty of that on the menu.

Their pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket and smoked sausage are all excellent, and their BBQ sauce is a great mix of BBQ flavor and a slight bit of spiciness without getting too hot. I recommend getting a combination plate so you can get a taste of each type of meat. Highly recommended for any smoked meat or BBQ.

Two stars for the great brisket and mac and cheese. Tried again last night after staying away for a while. Used to be a regular, but the service has always been sub par, though the food is good. Don't bother calling in, they NEVER have it ready for you. I won't eat there, the place is too dirty. Suggestion: don't pull the pork right in front of customers while you're making sandwiches at the same time, not a good visual at all, really turned me off. Slicing the brisket in front of customers is a good idea, pulling pork is just gross. And then making my brisket sandwich with pork fat covered hands/gloves is disgusting. The baked beans used to be good, with nice chunks of brisket and good bbq flavor. The beans i got last night were almost certainly from a can, with not a sliver of meat in sight, very disappointing. I want to like this place, but they need to improve customer service big time.

Good BBQ... Went to buy the seasoning after we ate and was standing in front of the register to pay for it. There we two people that had ordered before we started waiting to pay and as we were waiting more people came in and placed orders. They kept ignoring us and letting people that came in after us pay for their orders... Put the seasoning back and left for good.....

Really good barbecue in an industrial park that's a little bit hard to find but worth seeking out. Friendly and efficient counter style service with picnic style tables in the warehouse looking back area . Had a combo plate so we could try everything, I think the standout was the pulled pork- tender, juicy and perfectly done. Brisket was tasty but a tiny bit on the dry side, chicken was moist and tender, sausage was good and done just right. Ribs were pretty good, tender but a little dry . Sides were really good too, fresh coleslaw with a perfect light vinegar and mayo type dressing, not too gooey and sticky. The beans were tangy and well seasoned, and the mac and cheese tasted way better than it looked. Others had the Midwest monster sandwich with brisket and pulled pork, a huge portion and great when drowned in the sweet or hot BBQ sauces. everyone loved it and we will definitely go back.

Meat is cooked somewhat well kind of dry and bland, good barbeque sauces however. Overall it's one of the better places for BBQ. But with the menu selection, the counter service, and the attitude some of the employees provide I wouldn't come back here. Personally BobbyQs is the best BBQ I've come across in town. The main turn off is the service, the guy behind the counter was very condescending of questions we asked as first time visitors. And everything was delicious, but as far as flavor goes the sides and BBQ sauce in flavor and quality outshined what the main star should be which is the meat. Bottom line, overpriced for what it is, depending on who is working the customer experience can be poor, and the meat is better than most, still a bit dry but not a show stopper.

Overall the best barbecue I've had while living in Phoenix. I had the deluxe sampler. Brisket seasoning overpowered the meat and smoke flavor. It also had too much bite, not as tender as I'd like. Chicken's seasoning was great and really complemented the smoke flavor, this was my favorite of the 3 meats. The pulled pork was juicy and tender, but lacked seasoning. The sauces made it better, I liked the mustard glaze sauce with the pork the best.

This is literally all you get for 40$. Foods overcooked and looks extremely rushed. No BBQ sauce when we specifically asked for BBQ sauce with our order. Beans look like their straight from bush baked beans. The mac and cheese is burnt. How do you burn mac and cheese? I'm sorry you close at 8 but we made the order at 6:45pm, it got here at 7:30 pm. Postmates says it was delivered at 7:45 pm which is not accurate. I read good things about this place and figured I'd give it a shot. Guess I learned my lesson on that. Submitted to Yelp and postmates as well. The hand in the pictures is to show how ridiculous of a portion size this is. From personal experience in the industry, this is a joke. If I wanted amateur BBQ I would of made some myself.

I got the half rack of ribs with Mac and cheese and baked beans and it was THE BEST BBQ I have ever had. The ribs were seasoned amazingly- subtle heat and sweet. Don't even need additional BBQ sauce. The Mac and cheese was percently creamy and cheesy. And the baked beans had bits of meat in it and was sublime! Amazing meat and superb sides!

Great for lunch and even drop by for take-out on way home. Owners are children escapees from Nebraska cattle family who raise black angus. Also, have access to lots of pecan wood around AZ. A beautiful combo that leads to very, very nice 'Q. Simple cafeteria style with investment in food, staff, and not decor. Simple, with focus on the great 'Q. Good range of options from the usual plus brats. There are several sauce options, at the tables, so you can fix the 'Q to your tastes. Even a nice smokey, spicy sauce. I travel a lot so I like to do Pork on a Fork whenever I am back in Phoenix.

They were out of pork at pork on a fork, really? The family meal was said to feed five hungry people but they didnt provide five portion sizes. How does that work? They were out of waffle fries. The dinner rolls were grocery store shelf stock at best, and cold. The potato salad was unflavored uncooked hard potatoes. The bbq beans were hard too. The family meal included pork but because they were out, we were told they would double portion the chicken. Portion control is out of control at this place. Honestly, to anyone reading this post, Honey Bears Bbq is 1000 times better. If you must find something closer, even Dickies is way better. They portion control too but the food is at least edible. This was my first dining experience at pork on a fork, and it was a small amount of sad bland chicken.

The worst place ever. I’m from NC and have no idea why they call this “BBQ”. The meat was dry with no smoke flavor and the sides were awful. Overpriced, under seasoned, dry and flavorless. I had to add my own seasoning and sauce to the food. I should never have to add seasonings or spices to make a so called world renown BBQ spot taste better. I have no idea why the food network was hyping this place up. Such a rip off with horrible customer service. Don’t believe the hype. It’s not good BBQ PERIOD!!!!

Not sure where to even start. Average bbq at best, some of the brisket was moist and some of it was dry and very small portion for the price. They went a little crazy with the pepper in the BBQ beans. Potato salad was okay, it wasn't traditional by any means and they consider sandwich buns a cornbread muffin. It was a big disappointment. For about the same price I can eat at a competitors BBQ restaurant and get larger portions that are consistent in quality and flavor. Gave it two stars because they didn't completely get my order wrong.

Google maps will lead you directly to this great place. It is tucked in a bit of an industrial park, but it is easy to find. We had the deluxe sampler, full rack of ribs, Mac and Cheese and slaw. Everything was awesome. We thought the ribs and brisket were the best parts of our meal. There is a big area to eat in the back or you can order to go (online too). If you like BBQ and you're looking for a quick meal, this place cannot be beat.

Great food, great service. The location is weird being in a warehouse but they make it work. I only wish they had some more of the traditional southern barbecue sides but the pulled pork was delicious. I also appreciated the fact that the employee took his time picking out the best pieces of meat for my sandwich.

Have catered from here before and that was excellent but visiting in person was a dissapointement. My food was room temprature and many items on the catering menu where not available in person like ham and potatoes.

I ordered a burrito here, but halfway through preparing it, the employee told me they were out of sour cream (without it, the burrito didn't taste great). She didn't offer to offer me something else, and it honestly would have been helpful to know that they were out of a key ingredient before starting to make the burrito in the first place.

A frequent stop for dinner before our Civil Air Patrol meetings at nearby Deer Valley Airport. You order at a counter and they prep your dinner to order. You can get a sandwich (pulled pork, brisket, etc.) or a bowl with a base of your choice of rice, mac & cheese, or beans, topped with two meats and two sides. Lots of other options as well including ribs. We often do takeout, but there's a large dining room in the back where you can eat in-house. Our favorite BBQ restaurant in Phoenix.

Good: excellent flavor, service was good, good sauces (if needed). Bad: Pricey. This last time we were there, they mixed up my plate with my coworker's plate. Easy to fix, but annoying. They have RC Cola, which is not standard, but not bad or good.

When it comes to BBQ, the bowls might seem a little low-class... but their pulled pork over mac&cheese with jalapenos, corn, and coleslaw is OUTSTANDING. The sauces are also excellent. 5 stars is not enough.

Tried a plate with Brisket and 2 ribs, coleslaw and pasta/macaroni salad. All where very good. Ribs did not look like they would be great, but taste and texture where above average. The macaroni salad was also surprisingly good.

Kind of an out of the way place for BBQ with an odd eat-in dining arraignment. But well worth trying and going back to. I've also noticed that a lot of local guides recommend Pork on a Fork, which makes me believe this place is as good as I think it is.

Best BBQ spot in the North valley! Their BBQ sampler is definitely the way to go, if it's your first time here. (I'd get the Mac n' Cheese and baked beans as a side!!) If you are feeling like something different, their BBQ burritos are absolutely insane, it's one of those things where the whole is so much greater than the sum of its parts.
