REVIEWS OF Little Miss BBQ IN Arizona

Paula Guptill

I like this place! I ordered Brisket and it practically melted in my mouth, every bite had a smoked flavor. They served my order at least 45 minutes but the wait is definitely worth it. I will surely come back next week.

Chris Gray

The best BBQ ive ever had and the friendliest people working there. Always an awesome experience going there. Double meat, add sausage, two sides, no bread.

Aaron Nathan

So. Good. I'm a BBQ seeker. I travel far and wide for good BBQ. This is worth travelling for. Get there early though or they'll run out of brisket.

Sarah DeGroot

Best BBQ in all of Phoenix, Arizona, America! I'm obsessed with their food! Omg homemade sausage, their turkey is heavenly, every meat they have is INCREDIBLE! 10/10 Would reccomend.

Ryan Edwards

Little Miss BBQ is delicious! It’s some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had.

Cindy Balanon

Just had dinner at Sunnyslope location. Perfect timing, walked in straight to the counter where server handed us a couple bites of brisket. Believe the hype!!! It is as good as everyone says. We ordered brisket, pork and beef ribs. Don't forget the mac n cheese!! Somebodys mama is proud because it is badass. 5 Stars+

Lynette Smith

My daughter and I traveled to Mesa for a Cubs in March and we were looking for a place to grab a bite after the game. We LOVE BBQ so of course we searched great BBQ and Little Miss BBQ was right near the top. I called over before to make sure we still had time to get there as they're only open from 1104 (or until out of BBQ) we were told by Micheal there was plenty left and off we went. Our uber driver found it and upon first site it looked like a plain building next to a parking lot right by the airport. I've learned over the years that some of the best are in nondescript places and that tells you its about the food and not the look.

Brad Cook

This place has the best bbq in town. There is a reason there is a line every single day and people wait 2 hours. They also give out samples of the bbq and sausage goodness. So good

Gee Young

Waited 2 hours in line to get no prime brisket or ribs. So i opted for the other meat which was too dry and not warm. People waiting in line left due to the long wait. There are plenty of other spots for barbecue. Will not go back.

Phillip Keever

Wow, is pretty much all that needs to be said. The line was long and the company was good, yet when it came to get the BBQ it was worth the wait no doubt. The flavors and tenderness of the brisket was hands down the best I have tasted in the valley.

Michael mclaughlin

Food was good, prices were a little high in my opinion but with the following they have, they can get away with it. Extremely friendly staff and they will let you tour the smoker room. My only complaint is the price.

Kimball Cody

Know it alls that don't act like know it alls. Awesome customer service. These guys and gals are as friendly as you can get. Very open and willing to show and tell. Giving tours of their smokers and detailing the cooking process along the way. They answered all my wood, meat and smoking questions. The food was awesome. The turkey was unexpectedly the best, moist and flavorful. The line was at the end of the picnic tables an we were quoted a 1.5hrs wait, we had our food at 45min. Excellent service Delicious food Worth the wait

John Philipp

Second to none; hands down the best BBQ in Phoenix. Mike, Joe and Elena and the most hospitable folks you will ever meet. Arrive early.

Gustavo Magri

Great experiences! Delicious food with all the smoky taste! Good customer service, and reasonable right!

Jason Jankowski

Once you taste the amazing products the wait no longer matters. But wait you will.

Dave Kitchener

The ribs were cooked absolutely perfectly! The ranch beans were wonderful! The turkey was moist, smoky, and delicious. And the brisket is what they hang their hat on. Amazing.

Ol irish

Is the most honest food review i have given in a long time. the brisket extremely dry. The pulled pork was about a 5. No love in the gretz and the pecan pie is not special. I eat Texas BBQ weekly. This does not compare!

Doug Greer

The best BBQ I have ever had and I have been to some of the best, including Franklin in Austin. I had the brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was quite possibly the best thing I have ever eaten, but don't tell my wife. We are lucky to have Little Miss BBQ in AZ!

Gard

Best BBQ I've ever been too. Friendly staff, outstanding food.

Kai

I came here after googling best of AZ. It doesn't disappoint. Be here early as I came at 10:50am and people already had a line ticket from waiting at 7 AM. We still got in as it was our last day to try from our trip from Las Vegas. This the best brisket I have ever had in my life. I put the piece in my mouth chewed and it disappeared. I thought they did magic or something. It was soo so tender and juicy. I will come back if I'm ever in Phoenix AZ.

Dorothy Samaniego

Great food awesome service my relatives from LA love the food and the place when we get together! I highly recomended this place

Rubab Khaled

Visited this joint after watching a review by Mark Wiens (food blogger on youtube). Was a bit disappointed because they ran out of their trade mark brisket at around 1 pmish on a Wednesday (supposed to be a slow day). Anyways, I got the chopped brisket and I cried. But it was tears of fulfillment and happiness. Hands down the best brisket I ever had. Next time I visit AZ, I am definitely going there and waiting before they open up so that I get myself some of their brisket.

Anthony Majhess

I wish this was in my town. I would eat it everyday. I've been thinking about it everyday since I got home. Great brisket sandwich and the beans were awesome.

jason roberts

Hands down, best BBQ I've ever eaten!! Line was long but they took great care of us. We'll be coming back again soon!!

Ryan Kelley

So full! Opens at 11a. Be prepared to get there early for the good selections. AND be prepared for standing in line for about an hour. But so delicious. The staff is super friendly and love what they are doing and it shows. But by the pound or grab and plate with 2 sides. The grits are great when hot. Things do sell out.

Spencer K Bailey

There is a reason this place has thousands of 5 star reviews. I would fly back to phoenix just to eat at this place! Show up around 9am to even have a chance of getting some food. Plan to wait in line for 30 min-1 hour. This is not a quick food place. That being said, I hate waiting in line and this was no exception. BUT the food was completely worth it. Not many things are worth waiting in a line for these days. This is an exception to that.

Joni Linden

I love this place! They served the best Brisket in Phoenix. It practically melted in my mouth and every bite had a smoked taste! I waited maybe 45 minutes for my order but the wait is definitely worth it. I will surely come back next week!

SeungWoo Lee

Not bad, but should wait at least 1 hr.

Diana Cortes

I loved the lean brisket (I prefer leaner meats). My only regret was not getting there early enough to get the pulled pork. The service was also top notch and we were even shown around the smokers' area. What a great experience... Can't wait to be back and try the pulled pork.

Shannon Neal

Loved loved it...but the wait was really long. I think it tastes so good because you have waited over an hour in line to get it. If you go plan on 1.5hrs wait and on Saturday go at 9am. Best brisket since I lived in Texas. Seriously awesome ribs and brisket. Worth it.

Patricia Erickson

Delicious!!!!! Went to the University Ave location on a Monday for their green chilli burrito special. This was my first visit. It is a funky dive vibe with the best bbg in town. Staff are friendly, parking is free and sufficient. Be aware, come in early or they may have run out!!! Not kidding! That's how fresh and delicious it is. Nothing frozen or filled with preservatives. Limited outdoor seating at this location. During snowbird season it is swamped. I will be back soon to try more of their menu!

Best BBQ I've ever been too. Friendly staff, outstanding food.

Delores E Bryant

It was my first time there. My friend dropped me off to get in line, while he went outside the gate to park. We waited in line, over an hour, talking to some really nice, decent folks who were also waiting to taste and experience Little Miss BBQ. The restaurant workers were very nice, and friendly. I also got a chance to talk to one of the owners who is from the South of Louisiana and Texas. I AM from the south of Lousiana and Texas. I could taste it in the sample sausage that they passed out to us as we waited in line. The meat was fresh off the smoker...the sides were delicious, freshly home made. Especially, the RANCH BEANS and the JALAPENO CHEDDAR GRITS. The sides did not taste "NUKED TO DEATH." The food was good

I'm from Nashville. A place know for it's BBQ and we don't have some exceptional BBQ restaurants. I've never, ever had BBQ that is this good though. Little Miss changed my perspective of BBQ and honestly set the standard at such a great height for myself as a smoker and as a consumer. Outstanding work these folks are doing here. Get there early to make sure all your options are available to you.

Arizona Awesome Ava

Top Bbq spots in the state of Arizona. Staff as friendly as can be, welcoming, and easy to order. You will not leave hungry. 3 special sauces that you would sip by themselves if nobody is looking, it's that good. Brisket is king, and every side you choose is nothing less than a "A" plus rating to me. Ranch beans, mac and cheese, potato salad are my go to sides. After ordering you can pick up pickles, onions, bread, jalapenos all that you want. Dont miss this special place in Phoenix. Get there early, they run out of meats mid day, when they are out of a certain meat then they are out.

Grant Garbach

Simply cannot get enough of it! Great staff and excellent food. Worth up to an hour wait to me. Congratulations you have earned my first 5 star review! 5 stars indicate perfect and y’all knocked it out of the park. Cannot wait to come back.

Lisa Chavez

We're from Albuquerque and I made my husband drive us all the way to Phoenix so that we could try it, and OMG!!!!!! It was freaking awesome!!!!!! We will definitely return, in fact already making travel plans!

Igor Vinograd

The best way to describe this place is BBQ heaven. It is the whole package. The food is of course delicious, so are the sides, so are the house made sauces. The staff is super friendly. Even the waiting area has water misters to make the wait more comfortable in the Arizona heat. This is hands down one of the best places I've eaten in a long time.

Being a Kansas City native, I didn’t think I would find good barbecue in Arizona. I’ve tried a myriad of different places and was disappointed every time. The first couple times I went to Little Miss, I saw the line and didn’t think it would be worth waiting for just to be disappointed again. The first time that I finally waited in line, I was kicking myself in the butt that I hadn’t done it before. Little Miss barbecue is by far the best barbecue joint in all of Arizona. I will gladly send any of my fellow Kansas City natives there to get a good taste of wet Arizona BBQ really is.

Robert .

Best brisket I've ever had! Lines are long but definitely worth the wait. Service and food was great!

Benjamin Marvet

Just incredible tender, juicy, flavored... everything smells and tastes incredible. Great job! Will come back the next times we’re in Phoenix

Travis K

Service was great. Food was crazy expensive for bbq and sub par. We’d been told by nearly everyone we must try this place. I’m not sure most people really know what good bbq is. Perhaps my standards are much too high, but for this price, I expected a lot.

Dodd Stringer

Being from Texas I wasn't sure it would be as good as Texas BBQ but... Definitely worth the stop. Moist brisket was the best. Ribs and sausage tied for 2nd and the turkey while moist needed something to give it a better taste. Friends that live here say it's the best in Az. Dang good, will come back when I'm through here again.

Casey Johnson

I accidentally found this place while looking for good BBQ near my work, NAILED IT!! I was in line for almost an hour total, but I am very happy I waited and realized why there was a wait. Not only is the food amazing but the experience is personal. They don’t just cut the meat in a fast food style service, they genuinely care about each customer and food they serve. I was blown away by the treatment. I ordered the fatty brisket 1.5 lbs, sausage and a pecan pie. I planned on keeping it all to myself but it was so good I had to bring it home and share with my family. I will be back and I will be bringing friends to experience this!! Thank you so much and I love the beautiful thing you have going on!

Stacie Q

My first time eating here and I wish I'd gotten the super adorable Jersey girl that helped me pick up my order. She was super helpful and informative. The food...... OMG

Dean Synan

I stopped by the new location and admired the hard work that goes into making a place look so Good! I was so impressed that I went around back to find anyone that could tell me when they would be opening! That my son was in Boot Camp and all he wrote about was that he wanted to eat at Little Miss BBQ!!! I found out the secret to their AMAZING FOOD. . .IT IS THEIR PASSION in everything they do!!! You can just tell as I listened to each person that LOVES what they do! Sunny Slope has No Idea what is happening in their community, but this is one of the Very Best Improvements to Date!!! Just sent a message to Darryl Strawberry and if you know him, you know that Darryl LOVES BBQ! He even started a restaurant in New York called Strawberry's BBQ. Well he now has an invite to come to Phoenix and have lunch or Dinner because he is going to LOVE LITTLE MISS BBQ!!! THANK YOU SCOTT and Team for the tour and for being who you are to this Valley! Gotta Go tell everyone else I know ~

B Monca

The food here is amazing, the brisket melts in your mouth. The pulled pork is beyond great. The side dishes are some of the best I've ever had. Sometimes when the lines are long they will walk around and give out slices of sausage. It's totally worth the stop any and every time, my family loves this place. By far the best bbq place in Arizona.

Rashanda Ames

Oh my goodness..the best bbq in AZ. The Most FRIENDLY STAFF...It was a AWESOME experience..Everytime I come to Arizona I must come to Little Miss BBQ

Jason Morrison

Little Miss BBQ has a great vibe and great food. Had my birthday dinner here.

Michael Hoff

Vastly overrated. I waited in a long line for completely mediocre BBQ. Really don't understand the hype at all, I guess most people have never had BBQ before. This isnt even the best BBQ in the city. And compared to places in the midwest, it pretty much tastes like fast food.

Whitey J

Its good bbq. I got there just as the brisket ran out. Which is what I made the hour drive to try. The chopped was decent though. A party of 5 and only one got the veggies that is supposed to come with the meat. Asked the server for them and he said he would be right back. Never seen him again. The jalapeno cheese grits was PHENOMENAL! And the pecan pie was worth writing home about! I will give it another try some time. Next time I will get there as they are opening.

Rick Coopersmith

Maybe its just me. I didn't mind waiting in line two hours. I didn't mind that they ran out of the "fatty" brisket just as it was my turn to order. I didn't mind having to scramble to park a small car. What I did mind was that both meats I ordered were VERY salty. Lean brisket and pulled pork both over salted. Now I'm no expert in smoking meats but I know you can't undo over salted. Maybe the cook was having an off day? I dont know. I will say that the baked beans and jalapino grits were excellent but I wouldn't ordinarily wait in line two hours for them.

Mayra Bejar

This is the best BBQ place in AZ. The brisket is so tender and everything else is delicious. If you are visiting Phoenix you must try this place.

Deejay Adi

Amazing BBQ. 2 hours in line is a little crazy as I truly believe there are much better ways to handle the long lines. More people should know about this place and enjoy it.

Seth G

Crazy long line but absolutely worth the wait. The fatty brisket and pulled pork was my favorite of the meats. But they were all phenomenal. The smoked pecan pie was truly a dream❤

Kristen Kellner

Amazing! Delicious food, wonderful service. Get it while they've got it. They only make what they think they'll sell so it's guaranteed fresh and expertly cooked.

Eric Womack

All ways awesome. Get there early, its worth the wait!!! Enjoy

Jaime Aguilera

Awesome! Thursday was Pastrami day! Don't miss it!

Elizabeth Tran

Def worth the wait! But go early and get a ticket!!

Martin Schmidt

What an awesome find! Got a huge order to go to take for a party and a whole brisket to take home to San Diego. Closest thing to Austin bbq! I will be making this my go to when I need my brisket fix. Thanks team little miss bbq. Get the Mac + cheese

Rudy Garcia

THIS PLACE IS FREAKING GREAT... WE LIVE IN CHINO CA AND THIS PLACE KICKS ANY BBQ SPOT OUT THERE... AWESOME SERVICE

Rebekah Ross

We shared two two meat plates ($16) which let us try every type of meat and all the sides. I'd consider myself a side gal but wasn't blown away. We tried the potato salad, slaw, jalapeño grits and beans. I found the potato salad to be the best which surprised me because I usually don't love it. Their version is light on the sauce and doesn't have unnecessary additions like hard boiled eggs. Everything else wasn't bad but it was easy for me to save room for the meat

Christine Hennick

Yummy place. Bring your patience, comfortable shoes and a bottle of water. Worth the line!

Dan Hunt

Hands down the best brisket I've had in Phoenix. Since moving to Phoenix from Austin I've been searching for good brisket and I've tried a lot. This place is worth the wait in line.

Celeste Tuon

Holy smokes. These people know what they're doing! BBQ is a favorite pastime of mine, and finding one in Phoenix brings back all those memories of backyard grilling. One of their specials is pastrami - you'll be lucky to get a slice of it and luckier to try it. That alone made my Little Miss experience the best in BBQ. Fatty brisket - a classic American staple- was a favorite. Wish I could've tried their beef ribs, but that's why I'll be back.

Training Proven Winners

Had a great waiting for over 1.5 in line to eat this meat falling off the bone.

Emmanuel Velazquez

Waited 2 hours in line but it was worth it. Best beef ribs I have ever had and the brisket was also delicious! The pork ribs seemed a bit overcooked and a little too salty, but beef made up for it. The staff was EXTREMELY nice and welcoming. Great place!

Trang Ong

Great BBQ. Meats are tender, juicy, and full of flavors. Sides tasted good but typical. Portions are large. Definitely worth the 50 mins wait. There are water stations outside while waiting in line.

Mathew Knoell

Best brisket I've ever had. Ribs were really good too.

Teressa Sherwood

Great little Bbq joint. Don't pass up this place! Worth the wait!

Deejay Adi

Amazing BBQ. 2 hours in line is a little crazy as I truly believe there are much better ways to handle the long lines. More people should know about this place and enjoy it.

ghassan adnan

Best customer service ever, and the food are Amazing

Kelsey Benjaminson

I went with a party of six adults and two toddlers. We got in line at 10, they opened at 11, and we had our food by about 11:15. I'm told you have to get there early, or you risk them running out of food before it's your turn to order. While we were waiting, the owner brought out samples of meat to try and walked through the line of people waiting to greet everyone. I ordered the fatty brisket, sausage, potato salad, and baked beans and it was all delicious. While we were eating, they checked on us multiple times (and this isn't a restaurant with servers; you order, get your food, and sit where you want) and even offered to make PB&J sandwiches for my kids. I'd highly recommend this place!

Fernando Sosa

Get it while the getting is good!!! While their hours have them open until 4pm, they will actually close earlier if they sell out and they do sell out. Brisket is near Texas level of awesome, sauces are house made and worthy of your taste buds, sides would make any mother proud! Long story short, if you hesitate you'll end up regretting it.

jill J

Very good brisket the line is ridiculous they need to hire more cutter so the line will move more quickly... taste great!!! Worth the wait......

Krissy Meyer

We came here all the way from the OC, it was truly the first stop we made in Phoenix and was the best way to start our weekend. This place opens at 11 and there will be a line forming on weekends an hour before. We got here around 10:15 and there was a good 15 people in line already.

Andy T

This place has really high reviews and now I know why! This is the only place I've been to where I wish I could give 7 stars. The food is awesome. The brisket melts in your mouth, literally. No knife needed. The ribs are great. The pecan pie is an original recipe of the owner's, cousins, grandmother, or something like that. And it tastes like it! But more than that, was the service. We needed to catch a plane that night and wanted to bring back 4 pounds of the brisket. They cut it for us when it was hot/fresh, throw it into their open fridge to freeze while we spent the day going through the town, and then right before going to the airport, we went back to pick it up. They vacuum sealed it for us, gave us the sauces (another A+), utensils, etc. Super friendly. When I come back again, i'm going to be sure to visit them again! Finally, a tip: Go 20 minutes before opening. The line is long, ppl wait easily over an hour. And after you get your food, you'll understand why they do it and still leave happy!

David Munstedt

Do not eat here unless this is the only BBQ you ever plan to eat. It ruins every other BBQ for the rest of your life. You may think that you know what good BBQ is, but that all changes once you have Little Miss. They are the masters. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything they make is the best, everything. Just make sure that you order everything that you may want when you go through the line the first time, because they might be out of something if you try to go back.

Tyler Micek

The best BBQ in the valley. Long wait (> 2 hours) if you come early in the morning, especially during spring training. Well worth it! If you aren't picky, the early after noon has little to no wait and just as delicious food, only a smaller selection.

Scott Marantz

Excellent Cue! Only thing I missed was beer. The pastrami was awesome. Other meats terrific too.

Alice Daniels

We got the smoked brisket, the pork ribs, sausages, and the pecan pie. Everything was deliciousThe brisket and the pork ribs are full of flavors and very tender! Also they have the tangy mustard, spicy, and house sauce on the table. The services was great!

Rob Freedman

I had to wait for 45 minutes, but it was worth the wait for the best barbecue here in Phoenix and became friends with some people in line who ended up sitting with me and my mom at. The food is beyond amazing and my favorite thing to eat there is the barbecue pork, veggies and mac & cheese! The pecan pie was amazing as well! The customer service was outstanding and they know how to make customers feel valued!

Jason Bennett

HO.. LEE.. MEAT!!! I am not exaggerating when I say this was the best BBQ I have ever had. The brisket was on point (get the fatty if they have it), the smoked turkey was amazing, the sausage was amazing. The sides are awesome, get the jalapeño cheese grits! If you can stack 10 rocks while you wait, they'll give you a free pie. (picture included)

Robert Brown

This place is probably the busiest BBQ restaurant I've ever gone to, and for the right reasons. Their BBQ is superb and I wouldn't mind waiting in a long line in the heat just for some of their brisket. If you decide to come here, make sure to come as early as possible since they do close once they sell out.

Mike W

Hardest thing about this was the wait! Spray misting helps keep you cool. They also supply water, seating and an occasional taste test for those lucky enough to be up close! I will return and try other things. I had brisket, brisket with coleslaw (lacked flavor) ,potato salad was good. Will try something else next time. All in all.... very good!

Kevin Sargent

Tremendously good food with great personal service. Be prepared to wait, as that service requires one on one attention from the workers. All the food is fresh and terrific. The staff is incredibly friendly and genuine.

Jon Evans

I am originally from the Austin, TX area and Little Miss BBQ does an excellent job of taking me home. Not only is the BBQ outstanding, but the level of customer service is exceptional! 5 of 5 would come again!

Susan Edward

Super Delicious Barbecues! I fell in love with Little Miss BBQ's food and quality of service. The pl accommodating and professional. They made sure that we had everything that we need. The service was fast as well!

Mush Safi

This is by far the best bbq I've had in Phoenix. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. We got a pound of brisket, two pounds of beef ribs, two meat plate with turkey and pork ribs and two sausages. The beef ribs are definitely the star so make sure to go on Friday or Saturday when they have them! Don't forget about the beans and sausage. Definitely will return to get more grub ☺️

TeenaSanFran SanFran

First timer, Wednesday lunch before we headed to airport. Own parking lot. Small wait. Provided shade, camp chairs, misters & water cooler with glasses. Some outside picnic table/bench seating. Lucky seating inside. Walk in, greeted by the staff & visuals of the tempting and tantalizing smells from outside to inside. Be prepared to order- plate vs weight. Here or to go. Love it. Organized. Efficient. They just ran it of the fatty brisket - Boo

Elizabeth Montanez

Finally tried LMB and I was impressed. It was a long wait as we went on a sat around 6:30p. We waited 45mins in line and thank goodness there is a McDonald’s next door because our kids were not patient enough for the wait. The dads took the kids for playtime and burgers while the women waited. The food was good when we finally got it. Some items sell out and unfortunately I didn’t get to try the turkey, but the brisket was delicious as well as the sausage. All the sides were very good. The Mac and cheese was the best! I’ll be back!

Corina Cuevas

The food is very salty. I had heard so many good things and I was pretty disappointed. Too expensive for what you're getting.

Diana A Speer

Our first time at Little Miss BBQ. Had to be there early enough to get in line. It was worth the wait ( 3 hours) BEST BBQ IN PHOENIX !!!!! Definitely will go back again..

Luke Drake

Fantastic bbq if you can mind the wait. Show up early to get a ticket for the line. Expect a 2 hour wait and a $20 meal.

aaron faucett

The long line was worth the wait. Very friendly and great food

Lil P

Everyone was super friendly! Food tasted great!

George Cambanes

Excellent food. Parking is minimal...bring a small vehicle only...pickup trucks and large suv's don't work. Expect to be in line waiting for 1 to 2 hours. Food and service are exemplary. I won't come back again because of parking and the wait. They're going to have to fix that before they get my business again.

Debora Distance Everette

This food is very full filling. It is the bomb!! I will recommend this place to everyone. The beef brisket, smoke turkey were tender. moist and juicy season very well all the way through. The pecan pie was excellent.

Rom Vee

DELICIOUS FOOD! But I’ll never be back due to: 2 hour wait outside, rude parking attendant, tiny parking lot, and they hand out tickets to people to arrive. I watched people arrive hours before opening, grab multiple tickets and leave. They came back hours later right before opening with a car full of people. Meanwhile any normal business is “first come, first serve”. Poor management.

Derek Richards

This is among the best BBQ in the country! I have been to all the best barbecue spots in the country I tried everything they serve and although I could barely walk out of the building under my own power afterwards, I left a happy man.

Greg Swan

This BBQ is as good as it gets. I'm not going to say they've ruined BBQ for me for life because I still really love BBQ, but I won't be surprised if I never have better than Little Miss BBQ. I was in Phoenix for a week on business and everywhere I go I ask the locals and the workers at all the places I go to what to eat around town. I also look at reviews before traveling and ask my Facebook network etc., but the locals always steer me the best by leaps and bounds. This was one of those situations. Little Miss BBQ was recommended to me by the next fattest person I saw on my airplane there. When I arrived on Friday afternoon I stood out in the desert heat for an hour waiting to place my order wearing a thick velcro and steel boot around my broken foot in the 97 degree sun, literal vultures flying above. It was a long line wrapped around the overflowing parking lot of this little building surrounded by barbed wire in an apparently rough part of town. After half an hour we got up to the part of the line near the building and there were cold water misting stations setup spraying into the line which was extremely welcome. There were also folding lawn chairs and a water cup dispensers. This part of the line was equipped to handle suffering people waiting in the desert to have the best BBQ of their lives. There were signs made of torn up cardboard boxes written on with sharpies dictating where to go in line: this was a low-overhead establishment. Finally we got to the front. We had been concerned that they would run out of brisket before we got to order as several in line told us that had happened to them in the past and all over the signs was language like 'until out'. I was told they run out of everything almost every day. Indeed they were out of some meats by the time my party was able to order so I took that opportunity to try everything that was left. I got ribs, sausage, brisket, ranch beans, and grits with a soda and ice tea. It was around $30 for about 2 pounds of food and it was not at all over priced. Everything was perfect. I think of that brisket all the time. It was amazingly moist and tender and the flavor was levels better than any other brisket I've had anywhere. Exactly the right amount of seasoning to coax that brisket flavor out into every juicy part of that meat. Way better than everything I had in Nashville. The old Texan man in line with me told me it was the best he'd ever had anywhere too. That narrative was uniform among everyone in line who had been there before (I had a lot of time to chat). The sausage was top of the line excellent as well. Smoked, thick, savory sausage with char marks from the grill. The balance between smokey, seasoned, and proper fatty sausage was to die for. The ribs were very good too. I will say these were not the best ribs I've ever had but they were definitely in the top 3-4. All of the sauces were great, vinegar style BBQ sauces. I love baked beans and that's what I was expecting when I ordered 'ranch beans' from a BBQ joint, but that's not what I got. It was explained to me that these beans were slow cooked all day in all of the animals they started the day with: pork, beef, chicken, turkey. They looked like slop with shredded meat and white beans in them, they were not at all pretty. But I got them on blind faith and again my mind was blown--these too are the best beans I've ever had anywhere. Very well seasoned, deeply savory and meaty, so smooth and satisfying in the mouth. The grits were also the best I've ever had. Whew, this place rocked my entire world. They're cheddar'd grits with jalapeno pieces mixed in. Cheesy and spicy with that satisfying hot grits texture. Simply perfect. 10/10, I recommend this place to everyone reading and you're all welcome.

Alex Ferdinand

Decided to try this place due to it's rating. We were absolutely not disappointed! A couple things to note about this establishment. Their goal is to 'sell out' by 4 p.m. I encourage you to go early to ensure you have the best variety. There is not a huge amount of seating. Indoors there are about 5-6 four person tables. Outside there are some large picnic tables. We arrived around 3:30 and they were out of pork and one of the briskets. My friend and I split a 2 meat (brisket & sausage) plate and a turkey sandwhich. The sides were jalapeno grits, potato salad and coleslaw. The flavor was FABULOUS!! We will definitely go back.

Kevin Delvalle

The most popular lunch destination in Phx. Expect long lines, but believe me when I say "it's the best"! Get there early and take water. If you've not been there before, they'll fix you up with samples so you can make your lunch selection. (Good Luck) If you're local, go on line and order. You'll need to order for the whole office, days in advance, like a week and a five pound minimum. Also, if you're headed there, you might want to call in advance, they do sell out every day. You will not regret it!

Alan Pearlman

Best brisket ever. The ribs are moist and firm. Very tasty. I wait in line for this and nothing else.

Mario Gonzalez

It was insanely delicious. Been there 3 times. I recommend you try everything, but my favorite is the brisket. It just melts in your mouth.

Josh Wells

Excellent Texas style BBQ. Make sure to arrive before noon if you want the fatty brisket. The pulled pork is incredible and juicy as well. The pecan pie is one of the best parts. You must have one.

Heavenly - from the brisket, to the grits, and even their sauces. Eat here!!! To top it all off, the people are friendly and they make sure you get your fill. You will not be disappointed!

Jeff Sillaway

We waited in line two hours! It was well worth it! We got the last part of a short rib, brisket plate and sausage. Everything was awesome.

Roxane Abigail

This place is soooo dope! My hubby was in Arizona for work and I made sure he went here and got the brisket and links. He was late for the ribs ..they were sold out. But the brisket is the bomb..so so so good!!! He bought some for me in the plane back to California! So happy!

Baki Belastar

VERY YUMMY!!! Highly Recommend Visiting even Just Once... VERY EXPENSIVE be Prepared to spend $100 ( photo below is 1 rib $40+ ) Ribs & Fatty Brisket Sells VERY Quickly. if you want to get both Be there 2 hours Before They Open.. they do have affordable 2 & 3 meats trays so it's ok if you only bring $50 =) Full BBQ Experience Tho you Have to Buy Rib & Fatty Brisket..

Katie Serrato

The food was amazing! It is completely, 100%, worth the wait. We love to grill, BBQ, and smoke meats at home and this is done to perfection. Everything is made by them; sauces and sides included. The staff cared about all of us. They came out, chatted and made sure everyone was good. A very nice guy even made my little one a pb n j sandwich while we waited. This was the easiest 5 star rating to give!

Scott Mono

Tried the pulled pork sandwich, one of the best I have ever eaten. Just delicious. I will be back to bring my wife, she is from Texas and want her to get a taste of her home.

Ted Nguyenz

Me and my family loved the bbq in this place. Food was fresh and tasty. Service speedy and friendly. What more can u ask for? Oh and prices are very good as well!

Jon Garon

These guys are like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. The BBQ is OK but not anywhere near great. They don't take "to go" orders. You just have to show up and hope they don't "sell out" before you get to buy the food. So you show up at 4 and get in line and "hope" they still have some stuff to sell you before they "sell out." RIDICULOUS. Apparently the owners think it's a better idea to not have any leftover food so they just stop selling it when they run out. A normal restaurant would serve people during their regular hours and accept the fact that they may actually have some waste at the end of the day, but not these folks. Obnoxious, haughty attitude and very run-of-the-mill BBQ. Never going back. You can't even even order food to pickup unless it's 5 pounds of ribs or other meats. My prediction is that they will will fail eventually.

Edwin

Great food... The only con is the hour plus wait outside. But they do have misters spraying and water coolers for those waiting in line.

Thomas Mauk

The best barbecue hands down but you got to get there early or you ain't getting any

Steren Giannini

You must have BBQ there. But be aware of the potential wait. They serve until food runs out, so the earlier you come, the more choice you will have

Ryan Anderson

Great BBQ and now they serve green chili burritos with that same great BBQ...... what's not to love!

Ahmed Shehab

Simplicity and excellence is how I would describe this restaurant. They serve the best smoked Brisket I have ever tasted. I ordered chopped Brisket and Brisket lean only. You basically pay buy weight, which is fair enough. The more you are hungry the more you pay. They serve also a special soda pop in glass bottles which is 500ml that reminds me with the old days. It is an awesome experience that I highly recommend everyone to try.

J L

This place is amazing! The best bbq around town! The fatty brisket is delicious. The ribs and sausage is also really great. The only downside to this place is the wait. I think it’s worth the wait but don’t come here if you’re crunched for time the wait gets pretty long. I would definitely come early if you want to eat here. There isn’t a lot of seating but there is seating inside of the little smokehouse as well as outside. My boyfriend and I like to just take our food to go. This place is really delicious and I definitely recommend it!

hillary stiller

One of the best BBQ places in the whole state of Arizona. The brisket just melts in your melt, and all their sauces are homemade. I couldn't believe that i haven't been here before until now. I will continue to come here when I need my BBQ fix. it's well worth the long wait.

B Martinez

Come early if you want more of a menu selection. It's best to get there before they open, there's a long line. And rightfully so, the food is delicious. Huge portions. Indoor seating is small, there's lots of covered outdoor seating. The BBQ sauce is flavorful. I plan on going back one day, next time I'm going to go early.

adele trdatyan

The most amazing food, wow the staff was incredibly friendly and nice, they went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. We would definitely be back here anytime we come back to Arizona. Thank you for being amazing!

Hill B

There was a bit of a wait, but it is absolutely worth it. We shared a meat platter with 2 sides. The fatty brisket was probably one of the best BBQ meats I've ever had, followed closely by their ribs. The meat was just so tender and flavorful. My favorite side was the potato salad, coleslaw was okay. Indoor seating is available, as well as a covered outdoor area. Get there early before opening to beat some of the line.

Anna Tsai

If we didn't get the beef ribs, the brisket would have been the best bbq meat we've ever had. But the beef rib was incredible, maybe life changing. Must get the beef rib. So come early to get a number. If you show up at opening to get in line, they'll probably be out of beef rib by the time you order. The staff is super nice and accommodating. The manager even walked our daughter around in her stroller so we can enjoy the food. A+ all around.

Sebas Ss

Wow! The best Brisket I’ve ever had! Long line but worth the wait.

Patrick Taylor

Best meat I've ever tasted. They are super friendly and make it an experience for you. Everyone in line was having fun together waiting till they opened. Beef ribs are rediculous. The brisket, home made sausage and smoked turkey are very good as well. Awesome experience !!!

Leighann Breeze

Get here early to beat the line. Fatty brisket runs out then they’ll serve lean (which was also perfectly good in my opinion). We arrived a couple minutes before 1pm on a Wednesday and the wait was 25 mins. They ran out of pulled pork in that time and were down to only lean brisket (and I am sure they ran out of brisket shortly after). The menu is small and everything is good but if you have your heart set on something, be sure to get there early!

David Ross

Absolutely, by far and away, the best bbq I have ever had! By far and away, the best service as well! The wait is the only downside, but well worth it! I had a brisket and pastrami plate with jalapeno, cheddar grits and baked beans. The whole plate was outstanding! The tastes just blew my mind! The folks that were working were extremely attentive. I highly recommend this tiny little gem! Get there early, as they only have a limited supply of everything. Quality over quantity.

Patrick Loera

Friendly service, to die for food well worth the wait.

Sultan Alzahrani

Best bbq in the world. Go there early before they open.

Thomas Hooper

The line is long but the BBQ is top notch.

Barry Williams II

Had to wait an hour and a half to get get food but it was soooooo worth it. Got a Jefe and had to take a nap after.

Rebecca Ingram

Excellent service! Quality food served fresh and delicious. The worker is extremely good, friendly and polite. The price is right, accessible place, and no issue with the parking lot. One of the best ever BBQ I've tried.

Ronald Walker

I arrived to this restaurant at 11:30 am and the line was so long and so slow I did not get to the front door until about 2pm. As I made my way to the long line I was happy that they had misters, shade, and jugs of water so that you can survive the heat and the wait for a taste of pork and beef paradise. But once I got inside I made sure I spent a good $125 and got me a full tray of food which consisted of 2 lb of beef short ribs, 4 Link sliced sausages, they ran out of fatty brisket so I got the lean brisket, a quart of potato salad, and the court of country beans. Oh, and let's not forget the unbelievable pecan pie. So was it worth the wait, well it's and astounding "F-yeah"!

Jonatan Ceballos

Their brisket was amazing! So juicy and tender. They pork ribs and pulled pork were delicious as well!

Don Watson

This place has the most amazing bbq, ive traveled many places in the south, west, midwest and north. This place has an amazing system for customers to hold there place in line before they open. Samples while you wait. Amazing overall id give 10 stars if i could.

Karen Ventura

The wait time was unreasonable. It shouldn't take over 2 hrs to get served. The food was delicious and almost made up for the wait. Had beef ribs, brisket and pork ribs along with the grits. Compares nicely to Texas BBQ from Texas

Johanna Forkner

Wow, totally worth the wait, great staff great food! Got to get the jalapeno cheese grits. Life changing! Came here after landing at PHX had no expectations and we will be back!

dmichelle58 .

The meat is absolutely delicious..the sides need more seasoning. The smoked pecan pie was ridiculously amazing.

Logan Strode

Best BBQ of my whole life. Tops stuff I've had in Kansas City aaand Texas. So. Damn. Good.

Saidul Islam

Worth the wait, best ribs I’ve ever had. Very tasty sausage. I also recommend the brisket. Their hot sauce was just enough heat to make it interesting

Christopher Boles

I can't wait to get back there. Long wait, well worth it. Friendly staff, great prices, and yummy potato salad. Love the brisket, ribs were excellent

Candice Madman

Amazing food! Mouth savory meats and some easy selections. Staff was helpful above and beyound. 5 STARS!

Cullin Pattillo

The holy mother of all BBQ in the state of Arizona and quite possible the universe. Eat here and your life will have meaning!!!!

Brian Blair

The cool way the have everyone stand in line to create a BS way of making there product seem better. Not the best ive ever had. JL's is way better

Ted R

Great BBQ! The brisket & pork rib were excellent.

Damian Garcia

The place to go for Bbq in AZ don't let the line scare you it's well worth the wait!

The brisket and short ribs are something I haven't tasted before. Consistency is unreal as the meat falls off the bone. Of course it is rather fatty but damn delicious. Make sure to be there extremely early as they do sell out. The staff is extremely friendly and loves to help. Mike informs every new guest about the procedere and you are not left clueless in line. Perfect service.
