In my opinion, best place to eat in town. Food is amazing. Great atmosphere. Often music, though maybe a bit loud for a dinner venue.

Julie Shaffer

Interesting options including vegan options. They have something for everyone on the menu.

NewNewYorker

Slow but steady. Sweet staff, well done food in a historic setting. Dont be in a rush.

Ethan Wilson

Top notch dining at a very affordable price. I've heard about it from many other local, and I'm sad it took me so long to try it out. The live music was awesome and the atmosphere is beautiful. The food is incredible. I tried the coconut curry and loved that they used quinoa instead of rice. I'll definitely be back. Also check out their bar next door, the dusty monk. Cute old style bar.

Aaron Lund

the Great outdoor atmosphere with plenty of shade trees and coverings. Vegan Burrito not bad. Beer is $6......small selection, but the Amber was decent. Live music even though it was 5pm on Friday before the scheduled event at 6.

Ilana Hale

Great atmosphere, staff is always friendly! Food is good.

Valeria Ontiveros

Good cozy and warm resturant with live country music for about 1 hour on Saturday night. Service is beyond slow, the food its bad. I ordered a pasta was over cooked and tasted like mayo, there’s no parking.

Maggie Whiteside

This place is magical. It is not a normal restaurant! It's all outside but there is an indoor bar. The doors are open so it still feels outdoor. There is a pond with lots of plants in the middle of the grounds and all the tables are around it. There's a stage and in the evening there is music or karaoke and dancing on weekends. The menu is unique and lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. The drink menu is awesome. This would be a Perfect date night.

I am a native Tucsonan who went here for the first time today for lunch with a friend. The ambiance was amazing! The weather was so nice today...We sat outdoors next to the pond and got to watch the turtles under the heating lamps and the fish swim...There was live music by a guy named Clay and the food was very delicious! We also visited the shops too and bought a few low priced items! My friend and I both ordered a chimi and a soft drink and spent about $20 each. I got the beef one and she got the tofu one. The portion was good and pretty much filled me up. We also had chips to scoop up the amazing sauces around the chimi on the plate. I highly recommend this gem of a place! The service was honestly a tad slow but it was during their busy time so I wasn't bothered. I will definitely be visiting this place again!!!

Rachel L

Good fresh salads with grilled veggies. Shaded seating outside, live music, nice staff.

While visiting downtown Tucson my family & I decided to grab a bite to eat at La Cocina. We figured that since this restaurant had good reviews it would be a warm and welcoming spot. However, we were most definitely wrong. The only time we were acknowledged was to be seated. After sitting down we reviewed the menu for a good while but there was no waiter in sight. We didn’t get to place a drink order or even be given a glass of water to drink for the time being. It’s understandable for a restaurant to be busy on the weekend. We are paying customers and are willing to wait an appropriate amount of time. This restaurant during this particular time was not that busy. There were plenty of free waiters that we tried making eye contact with but weren’t responsive at all. Perhaps if an apology was made to us before walking out the outcome could have been different. Everyone else was taken care of before us which is not a good business practice by any means. I can assure you that we will never be visiting this place ever again. I will not be recommending to anyone. Overall this was a huge disappointment. If you’re considering this place please loolelsewhere.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at La Cocina on March 3, 2019. We were looking for a dog-friendly place and we were fortunate to visit La Cocina. It truly was an enjoyable afternoon with good food, a gifted musician and an absolutely awesome young lady named Samantha who immediately brought our Golden Retriever a bowl of water and our drinks as well. We asked for her food recommendations and she was very helpful with honest comments concerning our questions. Samantha took our food orders and checked on us regularly. Our food was fresh and wonderful and our service was exceptionally attentive. Our thanks to Samantha for making our visit outstanding!

Great music and ambiance. The drink options are phenomenal and they offer a wonderful variety of food dishes including vegetarian options. An escape from the city right in the heart of the concrete jungle.

velimer vidakovich

Great brunch menu. I had the Breakfast Beast sandwich which was made to perfection with a over easy egg and avocado on sour dough toast. Their raspberry tea hit the spof.

CiCi

The service was impeccable. We started with the pita plate, which was scrumptious. My husband ordered the BBQ Pulled pork sandwich and I ordered the Chicken Sandwich. The food was great. Very satisfying. The pianist/vocalist was amazing. When in Arizona we will return!

Nancy Hearn

Great margaritas, music and gluten free options!

ROSS HIEB

Colorful setting. Very good service. Friendly staff. Quirky music. Food was good and well prepared but not as exceptional as I was hoping for. May be just my personal taste.

Fantastic place for a date. Great setting outside amongst the koi fish pond, lights and trees. The service was very attentive and both food and drinks were excellent. Could use a little upgrade from the plastic seating. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

Maria Castro

Such a beautiful place with an even more beautiful heart. Great food! I love the wings!

Yesenia Coco

Everything was amazing. The only that kept it from 5 stars is that no one came to serve use. 3 other parties showed up after us and were given menus and water right away and we had to ask for service

AJ V

Slightly bummed by the experience here. Every person that worked there was grumpy and they lost our food and were still short with us, my friend was super nice about it and making jokes, we didn't get any type of remedy or appology, the patio was really nice and I liked the live music, but service really needs some improving.

lita dawn

Great food and atmosphere. Went for lunch and had the Chile Relleno. Yum.

TheSonorista

The food is always excellent with a lot of creative vegan and vegetarian options that aren't afterthoughts, as well as more traditional dishes. The outside seating is well-shaded for summer and with plenty of gas heaters in winter. The service is occasionally slow, usually due to understaffing. A terrific place for out-of-town guests with a more unique and creative vibe than their well-known neighbor.

Linda Lund

Quaint Spanish style restaurant beside a courtyard surrounded by unique shops. Service was good, food was less than expected.

Stacey Crow

The atmosphere is excellent, a beautiful outdoor space with lots of plants, live music, and a pond with turtles! Too bad the food isn't better. I've given this place a try several times because I really want to like it, but the food is mediocre, at best, but closer to careless, sloppy, and overpriced. A great place to go for drinks, but eat elsewhere.

Douglas Manoff

Love the atmosphere, friendly staff. Great food and eclectic shops.

Nicole Coy

Great vibe! Almost always have live music. Love taking out of town visitors here. Nice variety of food, always good meals and something everyone can like.

Dan Carter

Only stopped in for a beer, but Koi pond with turtles, and live music won me over. Cool venue, great outdoor seating.

That Jewish Wife

Despite all of the ravings reviews our experience was subpar. The food had absolutely no flavor and came out cold. We ordered a vegetarian taco salad, 2 tilapia tacos, 1 veggie taco and an order of tamales. I am giving it 2 stars because the atmosphere is superb. I hope this was just a coincidence as many people recommended this place on our visit to Tucson.

Fernando Rodriguez

It was national taco day, so we decided to go downtown to La cocina. Walked in to the patio area which is beautifully decorated and nice and shaded. Lots of seats available and was easy to pick the best one that you wanted. It was a Friday night so they did have some live music available. Several parties were there but they were more than accommodating and fast in service. Tara was our waitress and she was amazing fast and recommended some good drinks. We had a couple of beers and the special tea margarita of the day, which was a mango margarita which was fantastic according to my wife. We had the chips Kwak and salsa which was fresh and perfectly seasoned, and ordered some tacos which were also fantastic and great flavor. Prices are decent, they are very comparable to most downtown areas but the ambience and the sitting area is great. There's a lot of local shops in the building .They have a nice pub in the same lot as well. That has great drink specials. They have a couple of markets and a couple of retail shops where you're able to purchase authentic Arizona merchandise. Once again I recommend definitely going there grabbing a bite and a couple of drinks and enjoying yourself in this nice restaurant/shop area

Britt P

Cannot wait to go back! We’ll be regulars. Great food and atmosphere. The menu is varied and delicious! There are both your standard Tex-mex type dishes with a fresh spin, plus lots of original options. I had the quinoa bowl and it was excellent! Great outdoor seating and doggies are allowed. We went on a night with an acoustic singer and it was perfect. Seriously fantastic.

Lynda Russell

On a recent visit to Tucson, we were lucky enough to find La Cocina Restaurant in downtown Tucson. Everything was authentic and delicious. I especially loved the tamales - you have to go to the southwest to find tamales like these. And Polenta Fries. Wow, were they ever good. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, great food.

The menu at La Cocina has outstanding variety. There are plenty of vegetarian options and staple southwest dishes. The staff is laid back and friendly as heck. The venue itself is a beautiful open layout with a bar to one side, an art shop toward the back, and various other ancillary buildings. Great experience, will absolutely return and try to bring friends.

NIKKI B

Omg LOVE. I have been here several times, and continually love this place. Usually in the warmer months there is a wait because most of the seating is outside. They have a live band every night, mostly blue grass (?) type music. Guitar, bass, harmonica, and a good voice. Regardless if that's your type of music or not, its def entertaining to watch. The musicians are always great. The food is AMAZING. I always get the Greek salad. Its huge, filling, and overly delicious. I have had the nachos a few times. They are absolutely delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the adult beverages. If you are pregnant or nauseated, the ginger soda here is AMAZING

rani metz

Had a work party here out on the patio which was really nice! They had plenty of heat lamps for the cold night. The drinks were good and strong and the tacos were good. Not quite the best I've had in Tucson but not bad. Overall pretty pleasant atmosphere and a good time! I'd give it a try again

Loved the food and ambiance. Hidden gem tucked away in Old Town Artisan.

Frank Osborne

Great lunch on the patio with live music on a Saturday afternoon. Highly recommend, it will not disapoint.

Christy Herrera

Very disappointing. Had a large party of 13 and were thrown in the back away from the atmosphere and music, in 2 hours we received ONE drink refill. The food finally arrived and it was awful. Here is a picture of my sons "taco" that looked like a dead rat on a harder than a rock tortilla shell. You can also see the unmetled cheese from the "grilled cheese" sandwich. Trash service to match the food during this visit.

Rich Adams

It took 15 minutes to get waited on and then 15 minutes later to get our drinks and another 20 minutes for the food. Nice place good food if you're not in a hurry.

Buck at the Double Tree told us to eat here and he was right! Wonderful place, mostly outdoor seating, some a bit more unusual (special: roasted corn and sweet potato enchilada with a curry dressed side salad- YUMMY!!!) some standard items (grilled cheese, chili relleno and burrito) but each item done with a flavorful creative flair. The broccoli appetizer is amazing! Everything we ate was tasty and it was clear that care was taken with each step in the preparation and presentation and delivery. We met the owner - lovely! The place has been in business for a number of years she is continuing to try new and interesting menu items and asks for honest feedback to keep improving her business and keep her guests coming back. You WANT to eat here.a

Trev Towers

If you ever liked to make forts out of blankets and chairs as a kid, then this place is for you. The atmosphere is warm and cozy!

Valerie Rodarte

One of the coolest places I've discovered in our wonderful city! Food was amazing! Mexican style with a modernish touch but the authenticity is in every square inch! Open your wallets your going to want to buy everything! :)

Audrey Montgomery

Very unique outdoor courtyard that is perfect place for lunch and a drink. There is an indoor section also. Great service and recommendations from the waiter. The crispy Chile Relleno is the BEST I've ever had. Amazing! Owner Jo has this perfected! The prickly pear & jalapeño margarita is a must have drink. If you're after fancy, this is not your place. If you after some of the most amazing food and drink you'll have anywhere in a unique relaxing atmosphere served up by some of the most friendly service oriented people around, then this is your place. Tucson, you're lucky to have such a place.

Krissy Meyer

I really enjoyed La Cocina, the courtyard was a gem! So there were a lot of complaints about slow service in previous posts. I can't comment on that because we showed up at 9:10 pm and took about 10 minutes to order. Keep in mind they close @ 10pm.The reason I'm not a fan of their food is because their menus is just as eclectic as Tucson.

Wendy Martin

Went with my friend to enjoy their happy hour. They are an outside restaurant and the staff was very accommodating for our dog. They even brought him his own water dish! We caught the last few mins of their happy hour and enjoyed their signature margaritas! I will 100% recommend their veggie burger; it was amazing! Their chimichanga with the brisket was I was told was “soooo good”. After we enjoyed their michelada which is delicious! Our server, Tara, was very kind and offered lots of great advice on the menu! Overall, a great atmosphere and great food!

minuscule studio

Great food, lovely atmosphere, fun place to be downtown! Highly recommended.

Alice Daniels

La Cocina has a special place in my heart. I know that their bar serves drinks that are closely rooted in Tucson. It has the eclectic nature that is highlighted throughout Tucson. recommend this place for drinks

Michael Lonergan

Great food, friendly staff and awesome atmosphere.

Bincritter

I had their mission fig grilled cheese, and their bread pudding, and it was brilliant! The atmosphere is very relaxed. The waiter/waitresses have the perfect balance of giving you your space and making sure you have everything you want. I love this place!

Another gem with food to die or to live for. Try the Ruben. A courtyard with live music on weekends. Very romantic. Not even expensive. Nice surprise.

Virginia Prest

Great place for a great lunch. Try the penne with smoked salmon. I enjoyed it very much. A d the margarita was good too!

John Buckley

Just awesome all the way around. Great atmosphere, great vibe and tucked away off the street. Tricky to find, but once you do you won't regret it.

Krista Sparks-Kern

Wonderful atmosphere. Great food. A Tucson landmark.

Daryl and Brian partners

Wonderful taco salad as a previous guest posted. Atmosphere was great and band was great. Love the patio

Matthew B

This is a really fun bar to go to, really more like a nightclub. It is a large property with indoor and outdoor seating. There is a lovely fountain in the center of the courtyard with turtles in it. The food is also excellent. I wish I could remember more but I had perhaps a little too much fun that night!

JoLynn McNeil

Sit in a beautiful shady courtyard and enjoy excellent food, service, and ambiance. Then wander through the shops for eclectic finds. The art museum and surrounding neighborhoods are beautiful places to stroll.

S J

Always great food, great drinks and a fantastic gallery adjacent at Old Town Artisans

Robin Jenkins

Super chill atmosphere. One of my favorite places to hang with favorite people on a relaxed weekend.

Really nice place, good food. I wish they put more fans or had misters for the summer months!

VivianTravonne Smith

We had a great evening eating and supporting a good cause tonight.

Dev Van

Great service, great atmosphere. Food took a little longer than we would've liked, but they were super busy, so it was okay. Food was absolutely worth the wait!

Mireya A Zuniga

Great Place to have Mexican Food! Great Outdoors, Staff, Etc

Bill Thornton

La comida es muy bien!!, great waitstaff, reasonable prices, wonferful atmosphere in the heart of Tucson's historic district, the oldest single family-owned authentic Mexican restaurant in Arizona.

Jorge Montano

Food is alright, not much variety. Ambient was excellent and service was great.

Elias Hall

A great atmosphere with good service and a wide selection of food ranging from nachos to curry

Mark Classen

Great hippie-ish atmosphere and could still get braised beef or chicken along with both vegetarian or vegan. The place was vegan and added other options rather than the other way around. There was a folk musician on stage, but not the center of attention and the staff and owner were very welcoming. My best dining experience in Tucson to date ( moved here a year ago )

Richard Jenkins

Great food, creative cocktails in an outdoor setting that is awesome! Lots of trees and interesting art, and plenty of shade which is crucial in the old pueblos. Have been 4 times and have never been disappointed!

Jo Jerald

Met friends there, ate outside under canopy with music. Friendly environment, smiling waitresses & great food! Try the salmon & penny in a lemony, red peppers yummy sauce! I'll be back!

Robert May

An excellent outdoor dining option. Food was well prepared and served in a timely manner. Meal selections were creative and very tasty. The pricing was very reasonable, especially for Tucson. The atmosphere is relaxed. Staff and management are friendly and good. An, overall, great experience.

Leslie Ferriel

Love the festive courtyard, imaginative menu and great service. Live music was a lovely addition. Very romantic and fun atmosphere

Melissa Goularte

Food was good and atmosphere was nice. Chairs suck. Need better chairs they were uncomfortable.

Aleesa Cahill

Amazing food! The waitress was extremely knowledgeable about allergens, and everything was delicious! My family got the pulled pork and loved it, and I went classic with tacos. So good, and the atmosphere was perfect. Definitely recommend!

Noah Jones

Wonderful hidden gem that has decently priced food and fancy cocktails. Definitely a unique experience with outdoor seating and live music most of the time.

Sean Shoemaker

I always enjoy seeing Greg Morton play when I am in Tucson and the food is great too!

Donald Bryan

Excellent food marred by very slow service. I don’t know if it was because we were in a large group so the gratuity was automatically added, or what but our server disappeared for most of the night. We’d all have had a second round of drinks most likely but she didn’t come back much after she took our initial order. After our food was delivered we didn’t see her until we were done eating and people were already wanting to go. The tacos and everything were excellent though.

Michael Gradillas

Best place to go in the world no doubt about it best food best service best people best everything

Daniel Charbonneau

Really friendly staff, good food, good beer and cocktails. The outdoor space is really nice, though the plastic chairs and metals grate tables get uncomfortable the longer you hang out. Chill bluegrass band was playing when I was there (Fri evening)

Justine Hagins

Amazing food. Amazing atmosphere.

Kathy Kolmer

Great date night place. Live music is always above par.

Charles Algire

A nice outdoor cafe, restaurant, and bar. Live music with a relaxed atmosphere. An eclectic mix of patrons round out La Covina. Give it a try.you won't be disappointed.

Leanne Howard

Jimmy Nichols

Cute cute cute! Loved the outside eating garden area. Don't freak out when no one greets you when you enter the garden. Sit down. Chill. Someone will find you. I asked in one of the little windows if we sit anywhere, and he said yeah. Sat down, he came right out with menus and asked what we'd like to drink. Cute little artisan village of stores, tattoos, record stores, restaurants, pub. So cute! The food was soooo good. The margaritas were amazing. Prickly Pear was everything they said it would be. We got the Braised Beef Quesadilla and the Chimichanga. Both were sooooo good! Can't wait to come back here when I'm in town again.

Logan Kraus

On a recent visit to Tucson, we were lucky enough to find La Cocina Restaurant in downtown Tucson. Everything was authentic and delicious. I especially loved the tamales - you have to go to the southwest to find tamales like these. And Polenta Fries. Wow, were they ever good. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, great food.

anthony zavas

Another gem with food to die or to live for. Try the Ruben. A courtyard with live music on weekends. Very romantic. Not even expensive. Nice surprise.

Virginia Prest

Great place for a great lunch. Try the penne with smoked salmon. I enjoyed it very much. A d the margarita was good too!

John Buckley

Just awesome all the way around. Great atmosphere, great vibe and tucked away off the street. Tricky to find, but once you do you won't regret it.

Krista Sparks-Kern

Wonderful atmosphere. Great food. A Tucson landmark.

Christopher Albin-Brooks

Amazing food and great atmosphere. It feels like you are eating in someone's back yard.

Daryl and Brian partners

Wonderful taco salad as a previous guest posted. Atmosphere was great and band was great. Love the patio

Tammy Hughes

The atmosphere is wonderful, love the local shops

JoLynn McNeil

Sit in a beautiful shady courtyard and enjoy excellent food, service, and ambiance. Then wander through the shops for eclectic finds. The art museum and surrounding neighborhoods are beautiful places to stroll.

S J

Always great food, great drinks and a fantastic gallery adjacent at Old Town Artisans

Robin Jenkins

Super chill atmosphere. One of my favorite places to hang with favorite people on a relaxed weekend.

Corina P Yeh

Really nice place, good food. I wish they put more fans or had misters for the summer months!

VivianTravonne Smith

We had a great evening eating and supporting a good cause tonight.

Sean Hayes

After waiting a little while to be served, the rest of the meal worked out really well. The service once it started was attentive but not overbearing. The food was really good and a surprisingly eclectic mix of Mexican and other sorts of food. We had the quinoa plate and the pot roast, along with chicken wings and some chips. Everything was fine, but the pot roast and the quinoa really stood out as exceptional. The atmosphere in the courtyard is always great and the live music was neat.

Mireya A Zuniga

Great eclectic restaurant you can sit out in the courtyard they have live music great waitresses!!! Excellent service and food!!! Love going in the evening the ambiance is really cool!!!

Susan Gaylor

We enjoyed our visit. Food was good, drinks were good. Owner and staff were friendly

Bobbie R45

We loved this restaurant, the service was wonderful and food tasted great. i recommend this to anyone. Its so close to my house

Cecilia Allison

It is a nice cozy place. I like that most of the seating is outside. The food is not bad neither the price. The server was nice when she finally made it to our table. I had to wait for about 10 minutes before someone came to take my drink order. Other than that the service was fast. The night I was there there was a couple playing live music. The music was fine until they increased the volume and it was difficult to have a conversation at the table. Overall I would recommend going to this place.

Jean Thorne

Such a lovely atmosphere great food and great stuff

AZ GRC

Love it here! Great Tucson spot for a drink.

Marty Badegian

Came here with my girlfriend for my birthday and loved it! The atmosphere was very happy and there was even so great live music the night we came. The service all around was prompt andvery friendly, offering suggestions and check on us regularly. We even decided to stay for desert and a second round of drinks because we were enjoying ourselves so much. I would definitely recommend here and will be back again.

David Mendoza

Restaurant is good but treated 2nd class in bar...could not order food because restaurant was busy... Tucson native who will no longer recommend to visitors.

Matthew McComb

This is a great place to grab a drink and some very tasty food. The menu is eclectic with Mexican, Central American, Caribbean and many other influences. Everything I have tried here is very good. There is an indoor space as well as a nice courtyard to eat outside.

Sean Hays

Great outdoor eating. Lots of shade under trees and man made shade structures. Artsy environment with little shops to browse before/after eating.

J. H.

Love the atmosphere here. Great brunch spot!

George Mynatt

Funky atmosphere. Good food. Reasonably priced.

SummerSmiles

Food, drinks, atmosphere and staff were excellent! I had vegan tacos that were delicious and fresh.

Jose Badilla

Great place, great music & very good food

island gals

The best part was being out side, super cute place and enjoyed that part. Two stars as they put a 20% tip on our bill a FAMILY of six. The service was horrible, one meal never came, the waitress did not come back and ask about how our food was after the food runner dropped it off, if she had, she would have known we all did not even get a meal. This is basically her ONLY job she failed and we were OBLIGATED to tip her 20% for that. FAIL RESPONSE TO Owner. Thank you for your offer, I don't need the owner to reimburse me when the waitress has already been rewarded for the poor service. My concern is around the structure its self. Where does the desire to do a good job and take care of the customer as a server come from, when she know she will be getting a 20% regardless of the care. I pretty sure if the tip was not included in the bill she would have checked on us about our food and paid more attention.

Kyle Hicks

Had dinner here on Feb 14th. Significant amount of rain so we had dinner on the stage area with outdoor heaters and it was such a wonderful experience. The courtyard area is magical. The food was delicious. The servers were friendly and helpful. If you get the chance to experience this little diamond in the rough don’t pass it up!

enrique verduzco

Interesting place to come look around and browse all the stuff.

Ray Cumberland

Great location. Wonderful staff. Accommodating management. Fantastic food, and adventurous bartenders. Really can't ask for much more than this place.

Derek Handwerk

Delicious food with plenty of vegetarian options.

Warren Edwards

I really enjoyed La Cocina, the courtyard was a gem! So there were a lot of complaints about slow service in previous posts. I can't comment on that because we showed up at 9:10 pm and took about 10 minutes to order. Keep in mind they close @ 10pm. What I can tell you is that our order was out in about 12 minutes and had great service. We were not rushed and our waiter was attentive. Ordered the chicken street tacos and taco salad. The tacos were good; however, the chicken was a little dry. You really couldn't taste it with all of the other ingredients but when sampled solo it was meh. They had a person singing and playing acoustic guitar on the mini stage. Sat next to the pond and really enjoyed my dinner experience. Would definately like to go back for drinks, to relax, and listen to live music.

Pat Horkan

This is an experience of colors, fantastic smells, and original flavors. A great place to spend an afternoon.

Samantha Powell-Parisi

Delicious fun spot! And cute shops inside as well! Loved being able to sit outside with the heaters. Highly recommend!

C. Ras

Fun place, Music, food, things to buy. What more could you want? Get place to go.

Mark Walsh

Nice place for brunch, we we're there for lunch. It was busy and it took awhile to get a table but there was 6 of us. Mary had a chili relleno that was delicious and I had a smothered burrito with braised beef cover with half and half red saksa and green salsa, it was mout watering to look at and even better to eat.

Miriam Kitmacher

Waited forever for meals. Nothing but water while we sat there. Chips? Salsa? Nada. I ordered the Taco Salad. The taco shell was very, very greasy. Little bit of meat. Even less guacamole. Mostly, it was filled with grilled squash (?!) and greens. And not much taste. First & last visit.

Gordon Forsyth

Fun place with live music, outdoor court yard , definitely a good place to stop in. Art shops during business hours.

Nicholas Marki

Nice ambience and outdoor sitting, with the shade not terrible in the summer heat. Dog friendly, provided a dog bowl for water for my pup. I had the chips/guac and corn beef reuben, all the food was tasty.

David Jimenez

The food was good. The ambiance is awesome. Those palenta fries. ...

Jeff Rogers

Beautiful retreat in the heart of the Old Pueblo. Yummy food in a garden setting amongst the surrounding shops.

Víctor Manuel Serna

Basically a stepped up Taco Bell. I mean, it’s food, and it’s not bad, but it’s not particularly good. Pretty bland and flavorless. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and it literally tastes like Taco Bell’s xxl burrito. The environment is okay I guess but it’s a bit crammed and looks like a failed attempt at authentic. The bar was pretty limited in choices of drinks. It gets two stars for the employees being nice, we never got our appetizer though, not a big deal since we weren’t charged for it, but what’s the point of asking if we want one if we won’t get it? You’ll get substantially better food at Guero Canelo and that’s fast food. If you want a nice restaurant vibe, I’d recommend La Parilla Suiza.

Jay Young

La Cocina is all about the ambiance. It has one of the best outdoor seating areas in Tucson. There's a lot of different stuff on the menu and there are a lot of good vegetarian options. It's not the best food in town but it's definitely solid and pretty reasonably priced. It's a great place to go and grab some drinks or sit down for a full meal.

Mark DeWitt

Nice place with a bit of funk. Eclectic menu, but good food. Service just a tad uneven.

Heather Charles

Best patio ever. Great margaritas!

Luis Pérez Camacho

Nice place with life music and decent food. Hip vibe.

Charles D. Sutherland

I was excited to go here, having read other reviews and saw great photos. So, why the one star? 1.) Upon arrival, no clear entrance to the venue, overlapping with another establishment. 2.) Above issue wouldn't be so bad except that I wandered through the diners there trying to catch the attention of one of the staff, but they seemed to almost deliberately avoid my "excuse me". 3.) The bartender at the in-house bar was very friendly and informed me that there was a blue podium to sign up for a table, which was the only plus of the night. 4.) Once at the podium, the host attempted to find my name while I attempted to tell her we just wanted a table, to which she responded that it was a 40 minute wait and she could take my phone number and text me when ready. 5.) No place to wait except bar, which was not really a problem, but with about 10 clean and open tables as well as a large area with mostly empty picnic style tables, this seemed odd. 6.) No text ever came, so we walked out. Still no text later. We decided to eat elsewhere. The whole experience seemed pretentious with what felt like an artificial wait time, unconcerned staff, and artificial "secret entrance" layout.

Valerie Vinyard

Fun place and tasty Mexican food. Much of the seating is outside, making for a potentially sweltering experience.

Kari Grissom

AWESOME AMBIANCE! Historical building and knowledgable staff. Love the courtyard and turtle/koi pond. Live music, twinkling lights and a cold beer are perfect for a Tucson summer night.
