First time in PHX for a work trip and Hanny's was recommended by friends. They said to have the pizza but for just me it would have been too much and I couldn't decide on which type to have. Went with a sausage and pepper sandwich instead and it was very good. Even better was the atmosphere and amazing service while sitting at the bar. Didn't catch the mans name but taller with red hair and beard took great care of me all through my dinner. Thank you for a great dining experience!

Cool little bar/restaurant tucked away in an old department store. They add a couple unique features that give off a cool bar vibe (definitely check out the basement and elevators). It is a great place to get any of those classic cocktails like martinis, old fashioned, etc. and the food rarely disappoints!

Nice aesthetically but the food was terrible limited options, it was after my daughters Graduation we were ready to celebrate the waiter brought our drinks there was a fly in one the other we had to send back with the that one. Our food had hair in it! The DJ sucked for what we paid would should have just flushed $300 down the toilet. WON'T BE BACK WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!

The atmosphere here is tremendous. Hanny's is trendy without being pretentious though some clientele can be from time to time (who am I to judge though). The food and service is always great. The pizzas are the star of their menu. The hot honey pepperoni is my fiance's favorite by far. I love all we have had so I can't pick. Their drink selection overall is top shelf. Please please please go here if you have the opportunity to because you won't be disappointed.

We love this place! This is our second time here and this time the food really stood out. Pork sandwich with pecans - Wow. The cucumber salad was the best we ever had. The ambiance is exactly what we needed after a long day of work. The drinks were great and looking forward to going again really soon.

Hanny's is amazing. Get any of their thin crust pizzas with the honey drizzle. Onion straws are also life. Lots of vegetarian options too. Yum yum! Kitchen stays open til 1am, even on Sundays. DJ in the wall for the late night crowd. Delicious drink menu. Plus the building itself is an adventure. Mystery elevators, dressing rooms turned bathrooms, secret corners, mirrors, basement full of caged dolls, creepy surprises around every corner. This is Phoenix in a nutshell. My favorite spot.

One of my favorite bars in all of Phoenix. It is a cool, hip, and upscale bar atmosphere. They have a large bar with sample seating and a great selection of delicious food and drinks. The building itself is a historical landmark and quite unique. Fantastic place for a date night and within walking distance of other downtown bars and nightlife. Check it out!

Also, try the Chicken Milanese. The restaurant space is really interesting, too. It was built in an old department store. They have left remnants of it incorporated in the restaurant design. Definitely, will be back!

The food and staff are great, but the real reason for the thrill is the abandoned elevator shaft, fun house mirror bathroom, staircases that lead nowhere, and the creepy dolls in the basement. Ugh. Poor service. Had the gentleman behind the bar simply said "I'm not in the mood to serve people, go elsewhere," he would have given me more service than he did as my server. No water refill, no offer for another beverage (8.5 oz can of coke for $3 was way too much money), and everything was super salty. I am only giving it two stars for the odd art mannequins. I will not recommend to anyone.

Went on a Friday night, great ambience and the prosciutto wrapped shrimp with arugula was delicious! So why the three star rating? Ordered a fifteen dollar signature cocktail that was purported to be served with muddled orange and lime, lemon twist, and a maraschino cherry. What I got was a whiskey and ginger ale! No orange, no lime, no lemon, no cherry.....nothing! Not impressed. Maybe next time....

This restaurant has the BEST service at any restaurant I have ever been to. All the servers were kind, great sense of humor and willing to go out of their way to make sure my experience was great. I went for my birthday and it was amazing. My phone was dead, but I wanted to take photos in the mirror hallways. The waitress tracked down an iPhone charger and let me charge my phone while I ate dinner. The food was delicious, the dirty martini was excellent and it was the best birthday dinner I could ask for.

If you want a place with a dark, ambient, romantic yet simplistic setting, this is definitely the place for you. Its gorgeous, interactive in some areas (including the bathrooms and doll basement). The food is a nice fare, pizza is on super thin crust, the bar plate is delicious. Get the dirty martini (extra filthy with the blue cheese stuffed olives!!! My favorite!!!)

Really nice place and the service was good. But I was let down by the food. My spicy sausage sandwich was not spicy and packed flavor. The shoestring onions were mushy. One of the people I was with got the pork chop sandwich and it was absolutely dry. Maybe I got them on a bad day, but i dont feel compelled to actually go again.

As mentioned in the other reviews the atmosphere is everything. From the great service to the decor. The bathrooms are worth a trip just to take a peek and definitely check out the basement...not what I expected but go and check it out. I won't ruin the surprise but you will be surprised! If back in town I will definitely check it out again. Went for lunch and no crowd. I can only imagine it's crazy on a weekend night or should be!

The fact that this place doesn't have a bigger following is a miss. With just a few little tweaks, it could be a Phoenix "must go" stop. Food was good but SO much salt. A little balance and a little more protein would be great. Everything tasted really good...just the options were limited and getting variety in with the small plates without all the salt was hard. Service started great then became really sad. We would have stayed for a long time and had a great big tab, but, it was way too much of a struggle to get food or drinks. Beautiful building and finishes. Very NYC as far as vibe. Fingers crossed they get it figured out fast and hang on...would love to be able to give it another shot. P.S. go down the stairs to the right of the entrance.

Martinis are a specialty at this upscale-feeling bar and eatery. Their classic martinis (gin or vodka) are tasty and not expensive. Their more creative combos cost a bit more but we found them first-rate and refreshing. Meanwhile, the lunch time appetizers and entree offerings, including very thin crust pizzas, hit the mark. Hanny's is a good downtown Phoenix find if you're looking for an upscale feel, cool music wafting through the open architecture (at least at lunch time when it wasn't too busy), good drinks and light food.

Really nice place and the service was good. But I was let down by the food. My spicy sausage sandwich was not spicy and packed flavor. The shoestring onions were mushy. One of the people I was with got the pork chop sandwich and it was absolutely dry. Maybe I got them on a bad day, but i dont feel compelled to actually go again.

I recently had brunch at a famous brunch stop in Scottsdale which hosts a live DJ. While the food there was good, I could barely hold a conversation with my partner! I am glad to report no such problems at Hannys. The atmosphere is ecletic: there are some interesting art installations to discover while you wait. The vibe reads club, but less intense. Everyone who works there has character and flair! We could easily chat over the live DJ. The place seems to attract a snappy weekend crowd, so it makes a good stop on a night out when you are feeling special. It is definitely a date night or going out place. The few kids who were there seemed bored or overwhelmed by the atmosphere. I can't say enough about how good the food is!! Every table was packed when we were there. My partner and I split the roasted beet salad and have been trying to recreate it since then. Get it with gorgonzola! The place's style is American food made well. Their menu is small but perfect.

Check out the retired elevator shaft you can walk over - an illusion that blows your mind, and ask about the dolls in the basement (creepy art exhibit). The mannequins were created by the owner's wife and I loved them.

I usually eat it as an app. Their salads are fresh and simply delicious. I still ask for the old Hanny's salad and they are happy to oblige. To make it even better, add shrimp. If you still have room, chocolate mousse is great dessert.

The cocktails are excellent, the service is quick and friendly, and the food is delicious. Don’t forget to check out the glass over the empty elevator shaft and the crazy weird restrooms.
