Stopping here for lunch was good time. There is outdoor seating with misters keeping the dining area cool. I ordered the Green Chile Cheeseburger and enjoyed it and the big portions of rice and beans. The dessert menu had Banana Burrito listed and it surprised me. It reminds me of hot apple pie with ice cream topped but with banana burrito cinnamon, chocolate syrup and vanilla goodness

Lovely food, best stuffed relleno I've ever had. Same recipe that they had at the beautiful Fuego Cantina. Unfortunately, our evening ended on a sour note as they refused to honor a Groupon deal which considers a $15 "small plate" with a $5 side not at all the same as a $20 entree. It wouldn't have been a big deal if the owner was not so profoundly rude and defensive about it. Just started ranting about his business model. Oookay. I guess he figures they get enough customers that they don't need any new ones.

Food was good here once but went back a week later and it was horrible. Plus the service sucked. Waitress served everyone else and could not prioritize worth anything. Noticed she took the time to explain booze to an old lady who came in after us so we could have cold food. Yum. Booze should not need explaining. Wait staff should be trained. Prioritize things. Collect money, serve hot food, seat new ppl, take orders, clear tables. Duh.

I read the reviews and we decided to give it a try and we were NOT disappointed. The adult beverages were great and we ordered the Tour de Frego for our appetizer. This plate had an array of flavors and each were very distinct. My husband ordered the chicken breast with green beans almonds and jalapeno cream corn. I order the seafood chilli relleno with rice pigeon and jalapeno cream corn. The price is worth the amount of food you receive. The waiter, Jesus, was great and informative. When visiting Phoenix again we will return!

Never been threaten by a server at a public establishment before what a lunch, worst human degrading experience I've ever had a restaurant . Waitress gave me incorrect pricing on my order & expected for me to pay which i felt pushed to do by her attitude and diminishing behavior as she directed herself towards me, I'm not happy about being lied or being treated so unprofessional during my lunch time, telling me that " i was lucky it was not a corporate chain & continued to make rude a crude remarks, the food was good but i don't think being treated like this is worth the time or my money in this place , being disrespected due to a server not wanting to own up to her mistakes is not worth the time. Server called owner about HER mistake when providing the infomation to me to which all the owner had to say was "MAKE SURE HE PAYS". This is a very rude practice this establishment has, i will make sure this gets out to the public. I'm very disgusted with this establishment & will never recomend anyone or comeback.

Visiting Phoenix and came across this restaurant on Yelp. I'm so glad I decided to come. I ordered the empanadas and paella. Both were excellent. The indoor space is small but the outdoor space makes up for it. They have life music some nights and the service was great. Come and enjoy, you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful service, had the coconut shrimp with Thai chili sauce and Pernil (Pork) with cornbread and maple glazed carrots. The pork was delicious, the mango and heat worked well together. The serving size was large, more than enough for two of us. The corn bread was half corn bread, half corn pudding, with a very mild bite from the green chilies. Reservations are strongly recommended, very popular place with a neat vibe and live music.

Delicious food! You won't regret eating here. If the weather is nice, sitting outside makes for a perfect experience. The menu is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. They have a good selection of gluten free options, and you get a large amount of food, so you won't go hungry. Our server was very friendly and helpful with the menu. There was live music when we were there which was nice as well.

Food is absolutely top notch from the perfectly mixed margaritas to the succulent pernil asado. The service is perfectly attentive; there when you need it, and gone when you don't. And the atmosphere is simply lovely. Their enclosed garden patio is gorgeous and generously sized, or you can sit in the much cozier bar area. If you're looking to impress a date or have a special celebration, you can't go wrong at Fuego.

This place! We had perfect weather so we got to eat outside in the patio area which was so relaxing. There was live music, and the food was SO good! It is pricey, but worth it! Check Groupon before you go. My husband has celiac so it was really nice having the menus marked with what's gf. There were quite a few options for him! I got the "small plate" of Fuego nachos and as you can see, it wasn't small at all, a big pile of really good chips topped with incredible meat and all sorts of stuff. Highly recommend!

We did patio seating to enjoy unexpected guitar playing singer and the heaters kept us cozy. It was pretty busy for midweek but service was excellent. Food was great, spicy but not too hot. Best chili relleno, others had prawns and tacos, also great. This hidden gem should not be missed!

This place has great food and even better drinks! The atmosphere is quaint--it almost feels as if you're tucked away in a secret location. The patio features live music in the evenings. The owner is usually out on the floor making sure guests are taken care of.

A lovely gem hidden off the beaten path. Dined in the courtyard which is pleasant and serene however somewhat tarnished by the tree debris falling all over one's table. Entrees are pricier (20+) but portions are generous and food quality outstanding. Only two vegetarian options. The side dishes steal the show. The jalepeno creamed corn is a savory-sweet delight, reminiscent of that old childhood canned staple elevated to opulence. The chipotle mashed potatoes are velvety and luxurious with a subtle smoke flavor that lingers like a kiss. Our cocktails were intelligent and succulent: I had one of the best Moscow Mules I have ever tasted and my friend had a Sangria presented artfully with fresh fruit and mint. The vibe was trendy and sophisticated yet not off-putting. Mixed crowd and a brisk trade on an early Saturday evening post-theatre. Service was efficient, not overly intrusive but a little wooden. Recommended highly for a special date or a splurgy midweek treat.

Their vegetarian enchiladas were a little weird. There are many worthy vegetables that could be in an enchilada... I don’t think their all green bean enchiladas really worked. Got a groupon for 4 for dinner entrees. Well they are strict about that rule, must get 4 dinners, appetizers, light options & kids do not include. The meals are pretty huge. There is happy hour. We got the Fuego nachos, they were really good. There is a kids meal section that includes a drink & dessert (ice cream.) the chicken tenders were really good. The ice cream tasted low fat and frozen in some parts, not that great. I got the steak of the day 12oz steak comes with 2 sides. I choose cheddar mash potatoes, super delicious & I got carrots, they were sweet. My brother got the Fuego bowl which tasted like chipotle. My other brother got Fuego chicken breast with corn bread and cheddar mash potatoes. The corn bread was good. They have live music playing after 6 or so. Really small inside but there is an outdoor area with heaters outside. Also it's hidden, it's behind the dance studio.

This was our first time there but the food was fantastic and plentiful! We had the shrimp martini and a sampler plate as an appetizer. There was a lot of food. It all was excellent. For dinner We had the pulled pork, cheese mashed Potatoes and corn bread! Simply delicious!! You have to get the corn bread it is one of a kind! The potato’s were extra creamy mmmmm! The short rib enchiladas were also a hot! They were more short rib then enchiladas but no complaints from the table! Definitely a place to go to again!

Best restaurant in AZ by far!!!!! Huuuuge portions and world class food! Missy is the best bartender ever and the staff is like one big family! Its clear everyone takes pride in working at this phoenix gem :) I have been blown away with every entree I've tried. Always ask what the dinner special is because it's sure to impress. The pulled pork dinner special was life-changing, as well as the seared tuna steak, and pork medallions. The enchiladas are to die for as well. It is always a struggle to make room, but the massive and delicious deserts are worth it. Love the live music here too, it really makes this place special! Last night there was a great female singer that really set the ambiance. Can't get enough of this place!!!!!!!

We met another couple here last night. I live live less than two miles from here and can't believe it took me 13 years to discover my new favorite restaurant! Easy parking is the first thing I noticed off of 7th streets restaurant row that's big bonus number one. This place is tucked off of 7th St. just enough to shelter you from all the noise of the street and the rowdy restaurants that line it. We had a couple of very tasty beverages at the cozy inside bar (immediate service). Then we went out to the courtyard patio for dinner where we enjoyed the live music from a young duo from Brophy playing Jack Johnson and John Mayer songs at just the right volume so that there was no shouting necessary to have conversation. The staff was very attentive and personable, owner included. We also met another very friendly couple who make it their regular fave as well. The food was absolutely delicious and was delivered quite quickly after ordering. I had the seafood Chili Relleno with the spicy black beans and cooked carrots sides, AWESOME! We went right after my hot yoga so I was thirsty beyond reason. My water glass never went dry. Excellent atmosphere, service and food. Can hardly wait to go back, cheers!! -Hava Java Justin

The food was fabulous, finding it was fun -- it was between buildings tucked away, when we went, the weather was beautiful so we sat outside next to a water fountain. My only complaint would be that they were understaffed at the time we went, maybe because it was Halloween, but the waitress we had was very polite and brought what we ordered. Again, the food was fantastic and once you found the restaurant, marked by a little rustic sign on the sidewalk, we found it to be more of an upscale quaint place to dine.

We got the Fuego nachos, they were really good. There is a kids meal section that includes a drink & dessert (ice cream.) the chicken tenders were really good. The ice cream tasted low fat and frozen in some parts, not that great. I got the steak of the day 12oz steak comes with 2 sides. I choose cheddar mash potatoes, super delicious & I got carrots, they were sweet. My brother got the Fuego bowl which tasted like chipotle. My other brother got Fuego chicken breast with corn bread and cheddar mash potatoes. The corn bread was good. They have live music playing after 6 or so. Really small inside but there is an outdoor area with heaters outside. Also it's hidden, it's behind the dance studio.

Probably would have never found this place if it hadn't been for Groupon. So glad we did find it though. Service 5/5, Food 5/5, seating comfort 2/5. We went today (Tuesday) just after 11am for lunch. Sara was a delightful server & was knowledgeable and provided answers to iI had a lunch special o fb chicken chimichanga that came with the yummiest concoction of rice with little flavorful additions AND a salad with candied walnuts and vidalia onion vinaigrette that was amazing. All the food was amazing. We agreed that in the 7 years that we've lived in AZ that this was hands down our favorite. Food was surprisingly flawless, not boring, and every bite was as good as the last. My other had some kind of pepper that had shrimp and other stuff, and the same kind of rice. He was very impressed with his dish as well. We tried each others entrees as well and raved about it all. We then shared an order of Horchata bread pudding with malted chocolate ice cream, whipped cream, and a couple sauces.

Best restaurant in AZ by far!!!!! Huuuuge portions and world class food! Missy is the best bartender ever and the staff is like one big family! Its clear everyone takes pride in working at this phoenix gem :) I have been blown away with every entree I've tried. Always ask what the dinner special is because it's sure to impress. The pulled pork dinner special was life-changing, as well as the seared tuna steak, and pork medallions. The enchiladas are to die for as well. It is always a struggle to make room, but the massive and delicious deserts are worth it. Love the live music here too, it really makes this place special! Last night there was a great female singer that really set the ambiance. Can't get enough of this place!!!!!!!

We met another couple here last night. I live live less than two miles from here and can't believe it took me 13 years to discover my new favorite restaurant! Easy parking is the first thing I noticed off of 7th streets restaurant row that's big bonus number one. This place is tucked off of 7th St. just enough to shelter you from all the noise of the street and the rowdy restaurants that line it. We had a couple of very tasty beverages at the cozy inside bar (immediate service). Then we went out to the courtyard patio for dinner where we enjoyed the live music from a young duo from Brophy playing Jack Johnson and John Mayer songs at just the right volume so that there was no shouting necessary to have conversation. The staff was very attentive and personable, owner included. We also met another very friendly couple who make it their regular fave as well. The food was absolutely delicious and was delivered quite quickly after ordering. I had the seafood Chili Relleno with the spicy black beans and cooked carrots sides, AWESOME! We went right after my hot yoga so I was thirsty beyond reason. My water glass never went dry. Excellent atmosphere, service and food. Can hardly wait to go back, cheers!! -Hava Java Justin

The food was fabulous, finding it was fun -- it was between buildings tucked away, when we went, the weather was beautiful so we sat outside next to a water fountain. My only complaint would be that they were understaffed at the time we went, maybe because it was Halloween, but the waitress we had was very polite and brought what we ordered. Again, the food was fantastic and once you found the restaurant, marked by a little rustic sign on the sidewalk, we found it to be more of an upscale quaint place to dine.

It's a different style of Latin food than salty-spicy deep fried Mexican fare that is around everywhere. Anyway, we came on a Wednesday night and were surprised by a live musical performance by a talented solo artist playing guitar. It felt intimate, as there were only a few of us there, but he engaged everyone, even playing a special song for us. It was a good nigt. With good food and entertainment.

The inside is very "cozy", but after sitting there initially we found it a bit loud, especially once all the tables filled up, so we decided to sit in the courtyard. They are doing everything right, great food, great service at a reasonable price, and a warm atmosphere.

The design and location create a very cozy, local feel with colorful local art hanging on the walls and a beautifully designed patio area. I will definitely be back to enjoy more of their menu! Hubby had the green chili burger that he absolutely loved and I had the chicken tacos. Do NOT pass up the beans and rice. They were to die for. We also enjoyed the French press coffee and horchata bread pudding (which also blew us away) for dessert. Check out this local place and I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Heaters make it comfortable during chilly winter evenings and a fountain cools it during all but the hottest summer days. Last night, my husband Efren and I, enjoyed having our 9 year Anniversary at this gem that we found. It was truly the perfect spot for us to continue returning over and over. The atmosphere is very nice. I love the water misters outside and I love the fountain with running water with the outside seating. I went this evening and I ordered the Empanadas with a side of the green chili cornbread. Both items were so fantastic that I called and spoke to the owner to give them a compliment. It is so refreshing to get great food. The food was hot and fresh. I really recommend the cornbread, super delicious.

I came here because I had a coupon in my entertainment book. However, they already featured great lunch specials, making the cost of the meal very reasonable. Of course, you can and should spend more due to the remarkable service that you will receive! The waitress catered to my every request, answered every question I had in a polite and attentive manner and even proactively gave me soda water when I got my suit dirty with guacamole. Speaking of the food, it was undoubtedly amazing! I had the spicy veggie quesadilla from which I received an absolute majestic blend of flavors and spices that made each bite an entirely different and otherworldly indulgence. From the melted cheese swimming in my mouth, to the comforting softness of the tortilla that makes you forget the entire world around you, to the perfect bake of the vegetables accompanied with the spice of the salsa and the creaminess of the guacamole that brought me back to the homemade guacamole that my mother made, I believe I have officially found food heaven. To settle the experience, the restaurant is tucked away in a small courtyard, hidden from the busy road, providing an intimate and relaxed environment to make it a true hole in the wall

They've turned a shopping strip building into a cozy outdoor courtyard. Food fresh. Their signature margarita was strong and delicious. The owner was there when we went and is very friendly and outgoing. Be prepared for live music on Saturday night.

My coworkers and I came for dinner ahead of a conference nearby. The food was excellent with large portion sizes and reasonably priced. The pernil asado was fantastic- tender juicy and just a little spicy and went well with my cornbread and cheddar mashed potatoes on the side.

One of the best evenings I have had in my 13 years dining in Phoenix. The lil 3 man group Olympus Mons (Stand up bass, Drums and Keyboards) played some great lil bluesy and relaxing music!

We had the enchiladas and they were delish. They tasted fresh n were served at just the right temperature. Server was very friendly and speedy. Drinks were kept topped off on a regular basis. We also had the empanadas for dessert..served with vanilla ice cream. Great tasting!
