As you know, we do not usually stop to write reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of American restaurant.
The service is ok. Not too friendly but effective. The food is good . They have a great lunch menu with everything being under $9. Some of the items can be a little overpriced if you don't go between 1130-230.
The brisket tacos are the bomb and they allowed my therapy dog in the bar area. With her ID of course. I appreciate that.
Excellent happy hour downtown, dinner was tasty and creative. Cute gimmick with cotton candy for dessert. I'd recommend this place before a game.
Ate there before a show at the Herberger. Highly recommended this restaurant if you are in the downtown area. The food and service was excellent.
Good services n nice place to hangout
Food was great...DJ was a little loud for conversation.
Loved the service. Five stars on ambiance, service and cleanliness. The food was very good, cooked perfect, but the playing was not quite 5 stars, though closer to 5 than 4. Were had a great time.
Fun place to go.
Went here for my friend birthday. He had a room at the hotel. Reservations were at 8:15pm we got a drink at the bar before dinner. Our party of about 8 people were the only people there on a Saturday night which made it feel really intimate. 45 min into dinner the bar had livened up! Dinner was excellent and afterwards we were close enough to bar hop in downtown Phoenix.
Went right before happy hour started. They had interesting cocktails and a good lunch selection. Everything tastes great.
Location, Food, Service is of topmost quality. Food portions are not too big or small, just the right amount. Service is topnotch. Highly recommended. Try their creme burlee. It's delicious.
Visited District American Kitchen before going to a show at Comerica Theater. Relatively close and moderately upscale, which made it the perfect option. Great ambience, super friendly and accommodating staff. Food was good, thought we only had appetizers and champagne. We would definitely recommend and return. Hopefully we will be able to explore the menu a bit more.
Great affordable $9 lunch. A good amount of high quality food. My favorites are the steak and fries or the burger. Can't go wrong.
Kind of expensive but good food.
Food and service was good.
Great food and service! I was really hungry and would have been too stuffed if I finished my dinner. Had to stop even though it was really good.
While the food I did eat was good, I am so disappointed in the menu change to the 9 dollar lunch and no more Dr. Pepper that I will never go back.
Excellent 9 dollar lunch menu. Salmon was really good, and others loved the steaks and other items.
Very good
We went there for dinner on Saturday night. We had a party of 4. Two of us had the shrimp and scallops special, 1 steak and 1 pork chop dinner. Everything was fantastic! Great service too. We will definitely be back!
Great place for dinner and lunch
They have staff and personnel that are attentive and mindful of what real customer service is. When it comes to the dishes they serve, I couldn’t say more. This restaurant is worth recommending.
Very nice restaurant with plenty of seating for large groups. The food is good with some great menu items. I found the pink peppered pork to be a little under seasoned. However, everything else was especially good. I really liked the sweet potato mash. Service was very nice.
Always amazing truly chef crafted meals.
The food and service is always excellent!
Great food and people!
Very good, if your staying at the hotel 10% off for Marriott members!! Goooood food and drinks!
My colleagues and I were here for lunch. The restaurant has a great $9 promotion. I had the steak with asparagus. The steak was cooked perfectly. The Demi glaze over the steak was a nice complement. My server Liz was attentive, kind, and anticipated what I was going to ask for. I couldn't have asked for better service. I will be back again!!
The crab cake sliders were
Excellent food and a nice atmosphere. We enjoy eating there before going to the Herberger Theater.
Swank surroundings, small but well constructed menu
Nice atmosphere. Jason was our server and was very attentive...in a good way. He gave honest feedback when we had questions. Absolutely delicious cocktails. I had the strawberry moonshine mojito and my husband had the blood orange Collins. For dinner I had the country fried pork chops. The mustard sauce was so yummy and the breading on the pork wasn't too dense or greasy. The mashed potatoes were super smooth and creamy. My husband had the short rib stroganoff... delicious sauce and the meat was very tender. Dessert was awesome! We had the lemon chiffon bomb which was extremely unique, vibrant, and fu of flavor surprises. It was like a dessert with secrets. We also had the chocolate mousse cake...decadent and moist. The pastry chef has it going on. Will definitely be back
An upscale restaurant with great tasting food. I've had the steak as well as the salmon here. Both were prepared to perfection. Just the right amount of portion, in my opinion. They offer a good variety, to include burgers and such for the kids.
Great atmosphere and good service but the food did not come close at all. We ordered 5 different appetizers and 4 entrees. Devils on horseback is a great sounding dish but lacked the cream cheese filling and bacon tasted old. Sweet potato bisque lacked flavor, salt would have helped it out if they added any. Calamari was not crisp. New York strip steak was probably a choice cut and for the price should have been a prime cut. The risotto with the salmon dish was not even close to done. Nothing like eating crunchy undercooked risotto. The food was a big disappointment after reading other reviews.
The service was great, but the food was adequate at best. Also, the room was large and wall decorated, but I had that feel of a place that had been recently constructed and almost entirely empty
District has the best happy hour in Phoenix. I would even argue the best happy hour in the valley of the sun. Wings, fries, mac n cheese, hummus with veggies, and chips with dip each for about $5-$8 (1/2 off for HH). Cocktails, beer, and wine each under $7. Everything on happy hour is delicious! Customer service is always great which is definitely a plus.

Food was so-so, wait staff seemed like they lacked training, and wine list was depressingly small
An innattentive server meant I was forced to utilize the buffet. The food was good, just not what I wanted. No second cup of coffee even offered. The satisfaction survey keeps spinning, not loading.
Just had a salad and happy hour beer. Good deal, a little under ten bucks.
Food is solid but hotel prices and staff is perpetually overwhelmed (I’ve been for breakfast and dinner two separate weeks). Brisket Benedict was BOMB, and the apps were great, but my water was frequently v empty, and I was left parched. GET THE PRETZEL. It’s far from the worst hotel eatery in America. Make a res on opentable and get your points and less wait time - we waited 15-20 min for a table both visits.
$9 Lunch Menu Rocks!
Enjoyed my lunch experience here. Food and dessert both tasted great and fresh! Their lunch prices are definitely a bargain. I was not too fond of my drink. Next time I'll have to try something else. All in all, a place worth trying.
Food was terrible and very expensive. Fish was dry, vegetables overcooked and service was slow-and they weren't even busy. Ambience is dull. Look elsewhere for a great meal!
The food was great. I was there for a conference in the hotel. The restaurant had a great deal at lunch time and thier tacos were great. I told my husband we have to come again.
Great price for their lunches
Ambiance great, food options pretty good, visited multiple times during a conference...salmon, pork chops, quinoa bowl all exceptional. Not fond of the chicken breast fish, it was dry. I loved the cotton candy at the end of the dinner meal.... I think that is why I kept going back to try other foods...
Big place with good atmosphere and energy. My wife and I came here with friends before a concert for and early dinner and drinks and while the menu was full of enticing selections, all of us found they fell a bit short on the flavor side of things. Again atmosphere and service was top notch, so I'm gonna give it another try in the future.
It is a nice place for group gatherings. The food is very delicious.
Outstanding! Julia was actually able to eat the gf calamari. Clay our server was excellent!
Good food served quickly. Expensive though. I got a burger which was very good, but the fries were over seasoned. I actually got 3 meals that came with fries, each time they were way over seasoned. While here, I got a burger twice, salmon, & brisket tacos. Every meal was fantastic. I would happily come back, but it is a little too expensive though.
Made reservation for new years eve 2018 not realizing limited menu. Made it based on menu on website. Very limited. Ribeye was very fatty and served medium rare ordered medium well. Major disappointment for $170 for 2. Should have options and better quality. Server was so awesome and best part of the night.
Good atmosphere, but was treated badly because we were at the Sheraton for an event, the staff ignored us for 20 mins before taking our order
Nice breakfast buffet but it is a little pricey.
A lovely evening with all the happy hour items at our table for great fellowship with ASU Thunderbird Students...
Great food!
Awsome
Pork chop meal was a good deal at $22... wait staff was very attentive. Waitress was fantastic
Excellent place for business lunches. Great food and summer promotional prices -- anything on the for just 9 bucks. Attentive wait staff, too.
Quite a disappointing experience, although it is possible that we simply went at a bad time, as they seemed to have a business event at the hotel. Our party waited for over 30 minutes for a table we had previously booked. The service was extremely slow, although the servers tried their best and were all helpful and friendly. The food was sadly lackluster, the presentation was sloppy, the cocktails were one dimensional, and even the bread was stale. On the positive side, we were given cotton candy at the end, and no matter your age, cotton candy is always enjoyable.
The Lemon Bombe. OMG. Changed my life, lol. The mix of flavors complimented perfectly. We also ordered the salmon filet. Perfect. And heads up... the tea sweetened with prickly pear juice is a must try!
Great staff, the food was delicious
Best happy hour downtown and great food (especially their burgers)
Great atmosphere...enjoy it
Bartender was great.
I had the salmon for lunch. It was so good! Service was awesome also
The food tasted good and service was great
Great food for a cheap price if you go at lunch
Very nice! Excellent service & dim lighting sets the mood for a good time! Very pleasant. Happy Birthday Brooklyn!!!
Great food and wonderful atmosphere. Our waiter was especially accommodating to 11 senior women. Will absolutely go there again.! :-)
Nice place. Great taste of food. You only pay $9 for lunch! A great option to grab food around Downtown Phoenix.
The restaurant is in side the hotel,Which very nice place, great smoked brisket tacos.
Visited on Monday August 19 in the restuarant. The server was very rude . Went this morning August 20th and the server was outstanding. Maybe she was having a bad day
Excellent service! Good Food!

Stopped here for lunch and their food is pretty spectacular. The tater tots were super crispy as were the french fries. Ordered the grilled cheese and it was anything but disappointing. It was delicious, the staff is so friendly and nice as well that there is nothing to complain about. There is valet parking if you aren't staying in the area. The atmosphere is really nice as well. It's very open and spacious.

Excellent service! Good Food!
Ate here a few times while staying in Phoenix. Menu wasn't as pricey as a lot of restaurants located at a hotel and the food was good and a large portion.
Delicious AZ Citrus Chicken with chic peas, spinach and sweet potatoes. Jason, our server, was attentive but not obtrusive. Can't wait to come again!
Went for breakfast, was good, nice place
You can get Typical indian food ....and it's good too
The chef must have a very bad day because I had a shockingly bad meal.
Very good wine list with a couple of AZ wines by the glass. The food we tried was also very good, with the $22 specials being a reasonable price for the area. The short rib stroganoff was pretty good but could have used more sauce. Desserts were good as well.
I love this place, I was there a few weeks ago with friends for a birthday celebration and we had a great time. Very clean, service is great and the ambiance too was very enjoyable. If I had to recommend one place in Phoenix, that would be it. Last but not least the food was delicious, I had their salmon dish and I could not have been happier with my choice.
Went for weekday lunch. Service was average and some cocktails on the menu were not available. Food was good.
Had to ask for sugar for my coffee, had to ask for a spoon for my coffee, had to ask for more coffee, gave credit card for paying, took it and went over to other table for 5 and took their entire order before running card. Dull service. Not in a rush to go back.
Tasty stroganoff
Always a good experience. Love the $9 lunch menu. Make sure and go when you are not in a hurry. Very relaxed atmosphere
Meh! Could have been better. Went to lunch, I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The bread was really thick and a little too dry, if that makes sense. It was just the cheese and the tomato inside didn't absorb into the bread and so became there was hardly any cheese (literally, I think they use one slice of cheese) and it was kind dry and tasteless. I ended up dunking my grilled cheese with tomato, into my soup just to have flavor. Whatever cheese they used was very bland, I prefer Fontina but they used a different blend that...sorry it was too dry and tasteless. The other party got the burger and replace the bread with a lettuce wrap, which they did kindly enough without any kind of hesitation. She enjoyed her burger and got the sweet potato fries. All was eaten, so I'm sure it was great.
Great lunch menu at a great price. Service is always quick and friendly
I was here last week with my coworkers and we really had a great time and dinner that night. I have tried their salmon dish and it tastes really good. This restaurant is probably one of the best American restaurants on my favorite list. Their foods, their setup, and the entire restaurant is so attractive not to mention the good and fast services their staff do.
Very curtious staff...
Great ASU luncheon
Wonderful food, nice atmosphere, attentive wait staff, fair prices.
Best happy hour in downtown Phoenix
Delicious drinks and great service!
Limited menu and interesting menu. Hotel setting.
Best food I've had in recent memory
Good service. Variety of gourmet selections. Fresh and local ingredients. Most everything - food & drink - has some form of pepper. Not overpowering though. Wonderful presentation. Yummy cocktails.
$9 lunch specials on their regular menu during the week! Unbeatable!
Excellent food, good service. Try the Ribeye!
Great lunch pricing! Food was good and service was prompt and attentive.
Good Food Great Service
Cotton candy desert is delicious!
Great happy hour!
Love the food and the atmosphere
Overall very good service. Food is excellent.
they have $9 entrees for lunch. food tastes great, but portions are so small.
Tracy was a wonderful server! Food was delicous and the ambiance was enjoyable
Incredibly delicious! This restaurants has lots of dishes on their menu and has lots of different kinds of drinks to choose from. You can immediately see how this amazing this restaurant is even when you are still outside because many people keep on coming in. The place is very accessible to almost everything and might be just near your offices. You must give this place a try and you will not regret it.
My buddy and I love to come to this local hotel/restaurant/bar. The District bar has a great staff that always treats us like regulars and makes us at home. Cecilia is one of our favorite servers. Always welcoming, fun to chat with, and she makes sure we always having a great time! She definitely represents this place very well. With all of the other local options, we find the District is a still a viable option, particularly due to the staff and their high level of service and friendliness. We will be back!!!!
Very good food, portions not too big, nice place for lunch and dinner. Price are reasonable too
Location, ambiance, service and food selection and quality are all excellent.
It's okay, nothing really stands out. Food was decent. Their beers taps and lines have not been cleaned for a while, all beer was slightly sour really through the taste off, I went through 4 different beers. Would have expected better...
Some of the best Italian food I've had in a while!!! Decided to hop on bart for a fun day of exploring. Planned on District American Kitchen and Wine Bar and found this place on yelp but I honestly had no idea what to expect. We couldn't get a res here til much later in the day but decided to try our luck. This is a few blocks from the main downtown area but thoroughly worth it!!! There was a large party that took up most of the space but we were able to snag 2 seats at the mostly empty bar. District American Kitchen and Wine Bar
Their salad is more generous than they let on- I got soup n salad. I couldn't even finish it all! The potato soup was tasty!

Great boutique dining experience.
Excellent food, our service was a little lacking.
Try the steak with the tater tots!
Ate here during restaurant week. Food is AMAZING. Had the salmon. Service is great. Will definitely return if I'm in the area.
Great food. Does not feel like a hotel kitchen. Excellence
Good food!
Good food, friendly service. Some days, slow. Try the duck (i had it twice, the first time it was over the top exceptional) scallops ( nice) or quinoa bowl. Salmon barely ok (i like no fishy taste). Chicken fine. Good value. Recommended.
One of the best lunch spots in downtown. Not a great selection of vegan fare. But lunch specials run $9 for some very well put together classics.
One of the best Sheraton kitchens. Consistently meets expectations.
A great place for lunch during weekdays, especially when you are in a conference in PHX convention center. It's close and they offer " everything below 9 dollars" for lunch. Great deals for salmon and steaks.
These people serve the absolute best Easter Brunch in the entire Valley!! We've been going for ten years!! They even discounted our bill because they put the food away while we were still there, a good 60 minutes after we had sat down to start eating!! We appreciated that so much because we were both unemployed, but refused to give up our Easter tradition at their brunch.
Great place and great food nice place to make business meeting or Any formal meeting. Nice wine collection and great service . please try chicken fried and hot chicken burger ... Overall great place with great experience..
Delicious food and good service.
Good lunch deal at nothing over 9. We had salmon salad and brisket tacos . Both were very good. Service was pleasant but a bit slow
Food was really good some of the portions are small. The hubby need way more food.
Great lunch specials. Enjoy their Mother's Day buffet and other specials. Nice and light, lots of windows.
I have been staying at the Sheraton and looked for places to eat but really this restaurant is great and didn't need to look further. Good drink selection. Extremely attentive staff and really good food. I found no reason to go elsewhere. Sadly it was never really as busy as it seems it should be so hopefully it was just a timing thing.
A very good place to have a buiness dinner, nice collection of wines. Nice ambience and a very good service. I tried the calamari and roasted Salmon. Solomon was nicely cooked and one of the best. Calamari was also one if the best.
Go here for your next lunch downtown! Their "Nothing over $9" lunch is the best deal I've seen in awhile. I love the steak and fries. Also, free parking validation in their garage for 3 hours if you eat at the district!
Amazing lunch specials
$9 lunch specials are great, and a great value!
Was good but now as liberty station it's better!
Really great dinner spot, good cocktails. Service is not great--and sporadically has been terrible--and parking can be a nightmare. Breakfast menu is a bit lack lustre. Dinner is excellent and has a seasonal dessert menu. Good beer and wine list.
Awesome as always! A great local spot in downtown with excellent food and warm service. Love that the calamari is gluten free!
This place has a great lunch menu for just $9. I highly recommend the salmon. Absolutely cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Worth a visit.
Shrimp Po'Boy was delish!
Great bar tenders. They offered to customize my cocktail.
Had a lunch meeting at their restaurant, District American...Great service! Affordable lunch specials! Great gourmet food! Pleasantly surprised all around.
Upscale casual restaurant. I had the cedar salmon which came with a great risotto. Separate bar as well. Very nice place for a drink.
Great happy hour, friendly bartenders
Really good comfort food, great atmosphere
I came for lunch in between sessions at a conference. I ordered a lemonade and Texas Brisket Tacos. The 3 tacos were small but tasty, stuffed with fresh ingredients. I ordered key lime pie for dessert. This was good but not a slice as I was expecting. It was more in a circle instead. The emphasis of the flavors was more on the additional playing items like the mango puree and coconut than it was on the pie itself. The crust, if you could call it that, was hardened white chocolate. If I hadn't ordered it as a key lime pie, I never would've guessed that that was what it was. Despite the oddity and slight let down on the dessert, the staff were prompt and unobtrusive, and I was seated immediately. There would have been no problem getting in and out in half an hour if that had been the goal.
Great place to eat and service was very nice
I have come here several times with coworkers for lunch. The food is good and the servers are often friendly but the biggest issue is the time. It can take quite a while to have someone come take your order and then more time to get your food and then getting someone to take your check can be the hardest thing. You are lucky if you actually have a server who is attentive to your table. I am not sure if they are just understaffed (you would think this would have been fixed in a few years but apparently not) or if everyone has been drained of their innate hustle but don't go here expecting to be able to make it back to work in under an hour as that is a rare feat.
Great quality food.
I only prefer the hot wings and I think they are great. 10 for 10. Better prices and tasting then the Hooters across the street. Located inside Sheraton.
Amazing brunch buffet! -Omelette station -Mac and Cheese station -Adorable decorative desserts -Bottomless Mimosas -QUALITY food and recipes -Big windows and comfortable atmosphere Can't go wrong. Can't wait to go back!
Expensive Hotel Food
Would not go out of my way to eat here.
Excellent cocktails, good food, friendly bartenders.
Service was great! Were looking for a breakfast place called Marston's I think it's called. We stayed and had lunch at District Kitchen. My husband had the cedar plank salmon and I had a sliced turkey sandwich on a croissant. Delicious! I wish turkey was real and not preserved meat. Good tasting, STILL. QUIET and nice decor.
I highly recommend the $9 steak dinner special. It's a $30 dollar meal for $9 bucks!! Great lunch environment. Come check it out!!
Great bar
This place is amazing honestly, it's such a beautiful sight on the inside as the view they have on the outside. We came for Thanksgiving Dinner which is a fixed menu. The appetizers were fresh, crisp garden salads. Our Entree was amazing juicy turkey
I had the Cedar Salmon and it was outstanding! Delicious and soft... perfectly cooked... Plus service was excellent! And great ambience!
Great food and service
Tasty food options and a unique drink created every day of the week. Their happy hour menu is pretty stellar with great food and drink options. The service is always top notch. Jeff and Meagan are both extremely pleasant to talk to and provide ‘top shelf’ service.
