This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Pakistani restaurant.
Saw this restaurant on diners drive in & dives. Very good.
Delicious food, and friendly staff! I had a great experience, and highly recommend it to every one who loves good Indian/ Pakistani food!
Food was good, however I was told it will take 15-20 mins. It took an hour since I made the phone call. Very unprofessional!
Fantastic food and very well priced. I recommend anyone go here and as someone who has food intolerances they are very capable of making dishes I can enjoy as well. When I'm in Tempe I always go here. 10/10 spot for lunch, dinner or a date
Got food from this place very often, my husband loves the kabobs here. We really like the chicken sheek kabobs and tandoori chicken Tikka and chicken Tikka masala. The palak paneer is very good too. Please order the kabobs varieties here as they are very good. But biriyani is definitely not the best. Kabobs are tasty and delicious.
Food is great and authentic try especially the Arabic Thali comes with hummus
Very tasty food. I got the lentil dahl with pakoras. I liked the dahl better than the pakoras, but it was still very tasty, and I'd go there again soon. If you're vegan like me, ask your server for vegan options and they can help you out:) I know the samosas have eggs, but the chana masala and lentil dahl are safe bets!
The food was good and the service was fast. The signs for the entrance were confusing.
Slow service, good food, furniture needs cleaning
I can't really express how good their food is, you must try it. The tandoori chicken and tikka masala are must haves. The service is always spot on as well. A great family run place.
Went there, because of Triple D. The food is pretty good. But I have had much better. Will I go again, yes.
Wasn't sure when we walked in the door, but oh my goodness, from our appetizers to our main courses it was wonderful. Quite a happy dance in my mouth!
I seriously recommend the following items for your first time here: Tikka Masala Fries & Chicken Rajasthani, with a tall glass of mango lassi, with garlic naan bread on the side.
4 stars for the taste and a 2 star for the service. Unorganized to-go services, lost count of how many times I get the wrong order, let alone giving my order away for strangers and having me wait another 15-20 mins to remake the order. Food is good, customer service needs some serious work
Excellent food, very tasty, clean, friendly
The food was absolutely Amazing! Affordable too!
Good food no service. It can take up to 20 minutes for water and menus.
So good! This place gets busy so patience is sometimes needed. But that just tells you how good it is. Their naan bread is the real deal!
I'd recommend this place if you're planning on playing Holi (Too much food coloring). Temples probably give you larger portions as prasadam than the amount they give you. Best place if you want to get a bright yellow smile!
Unfortunately Google reviews doesn’t allows me to give rating lower than one star. They should not call themselves an Indian restaurant. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and chicken biryani for to-go order. Both the items had no taste, lacked any kind of spices and biryani was just boiled rice mixed with chicken cubes. Horrible experience.
Crowded and dilapidated strip mall offers great Indian cuisine. I would highly recommend the owner provide additional training to his serving staff, because pleasant and attentive servers always crown a dining experience.
Love going here with my family.
Came here specifically for the cheesy naan, and so should you. When the server let us know they were out of it for the night, the owner heard us saying thats exactly what we went there for, and then made some to order for us. Really appreciated that gesture. Everything was absolutely delicious, especially the butter chicken which was one of the dishes in our Arabic Thali plate. The biryani rice is incredible too. Definitely suggest and we’ll be coming back for sure.
Don’t come here.
Absolutely fantastic food, hidden in a little dive building. Definitely coming back.
First time eating Indian food.! It was so good!
Loved its thali and Achari chicken. Naan was soft and tasty.
Terrible food - Absolutely neither quality nor taste. Veg Biryani was nothing more than boiled rice and oiled potato pieces of baseball size. No flavor, no spice, I mean nothing in it....Other dishes I ordered were equally bad! Don't fall for prices.
Has always been one of the best restaurants for "Indo-Pakistani" food. The flavors are amazing. You will never be disappointed with the quality of the food they serve. It is usually crowded, even more so on weekends.
Quality is good but meat is only halal not zabiha halal.
Lunch at Curry Corner is excellent. A great selection of food choices, including vegetarian. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. I'd definitely recommend this location for a quiet business meeting or a delicious meal while catching up on your latest podcast episode. I will say, if you go, gotta try the naan bread options, garlic naan is phenomenal.
Food used to be great but not anymore. Service was good but very disappointed with the food bar b q chicken was uncooked, flat bread was to yeast curry’s wasn’t fresh & tasty. complained to the server didn’t get satisfied answered. We won’t go back now
There was a lot of good and bad about this place, but the January 2019 Health Inspection has me finally decided not to return. Cockroaches in the kitchen?? Ick!!! And my favorite food was their cheese naan, but the idea of them touching it with dirty hands has me freaked out. Also, last visit they were overcharging on my bill compared to the prices on the menu, and I had to persuade the guy to honor their prices as listed- not cool. Most dishes were quite spicy and it was hard to get the waiter's attention to get water, or plates we needed. Overall, I'm sad to say I won't be back.
Skip it, you can do better. The guy at the counter seemed very annoyed by the presence of any customer and said not a word to us through seating or checkout. Watched another guy waiting for carryout wait for 10 minutes while "Mr. Congeniality" told him it was someone else's order only to discover it was his, odd. Chicken tikka masala tasted like tikka chicken with tomato basil soup poured over it and not even a hint of spice. Hummus and naan were good but by themselves not enough to overcome mediocre mains and odd service. In all there are far better options available.
love the food here. if this is too spicy for you, then go eat a hamburger. to anyone requesting “mild” indian food, you need to go someplace else. seriously. only four stars because they forgot part of my order when they delivered once. left feedback on grubhub about it (where i ordered from) and they never reached out.
Good food and very nice service.
I've only been once but it was amazing
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant. Delicious food, friendly staff, you can't go wrong. Tiki Masala is one of the best around!
Good food for good prices. I used to walk here every week for takeout.
The chicken biryani is good but the hummus and naan is amazing!
Have been a take out customer for over a year did you get a new cook? Ordered the Norm...got home No Rice.......
This place was amazing, had the goat lentil curry ❤️
Food is fantastic. Their Tikka Masala was out of this world. Definitely worth a try. The biggest issue is dining in. Customer service left a lot to be desired. If you ask me, the best option is to place a take-out order and enjoy the scrumptious meal in the comfort of your own home.
Awesome hummus! The trip curry platter was wonderful! Will definitely go back again and again.
When we got there the restaurant was completely empty, there was a table full of prefilled water cups which is very unhygienic, we noticed this during the approximately 3 minutes before we were helped. When the server came out from the kitchen she was very friendly. She suggested dishes which was very helpful for us as first timers. The food was delicious, we tried the Cheese Naan, Sindhi Biryani Chicken, Rice Pudding, and the drink which was Mango Lassi. Overall, the food itself was great. What needs improvement is initial customer service and the unhygienic water situation. I would go again but it needs a little improvement.
The food was incredible, the iced tea was lacking, but literally everything else was beyond good. It's a small place so it feels pretty cozy. The punjabi handi chicken was recommended to me and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it.
The food was as delicious and authentic as one would expect at Pakistani home with a mom or aunt who has a secret book of recipes. Phoenix wouldn't be the same without this gem.
I used to love this place but its been going downhill for me. The quality of their chicken not mediocre at best, very fatty. The mariachi music blasting from the kitchen creates a conflicting atmosphere of an authentic Indian/Pakistani dining experience. The naan is definitely store bought. Where am I supposed to get real naan if I cant get it at a restaurant like this?
The food is so bland and not spiced up enough. The hospitality is not any better either. Will not recommend if you're really looking for a delicious briyani.
I did not enjoy the food
If you have a good north Indian taste you will not like the food here, as is the case with most of the Indian restaurants in Phoenix. I am vegetarian so this review is purely for veg food. The paneer gravy was very watery and tasteless. I ordered achari paneer to start with and it was no where near aachari paneer or any paneer for that matter :-). The glasses and plates were very dirty and I could even see a layer of oil in the glass of water. Very unhygienic. Visit at your own health risk.
The food there tasty
No taste is better than this place
Awesome indo-pak food at ridiculously good prices. One of my local favorites. They do take-out too!
This restaurant just lost a family of regulars thanks to the terrible customer service and food we purchased tonight at 9pm, (04/08/19). We have ordered the same dishes every time and the man who took down our order insisted the restaurant does not have what we requested on the menu, which is insane considering we ordered Tikka Masala. He had a major attitude on the phone during our order, and when we told him we wanted it spicy, he said "You mean like 'white people' spicy or Indian spicy?". Despite this, we gave him a second chance and arrived to pick up the food. On the way home, we realized that the dishes were literally half full. The food was barely warm and runny. We ordered garlic naan and they gave us plain, room temperature naan. There were only 4 pieces of cheese in the paneer, and the rice was dry. Clearly they didnt care tonight. Congrats. We will be giving our money and service to another Indian restaurant.
Weren’t looking for this place... and were not that hungry... saw it on our GPS, stopped in... strawberry lassi and a samosa? Who makes a strawberry lassi? Curry Corner does! Fresh, light, flavorful but not too sweet. Ordered something in addition ...think it was called Chana or something... great flavor -Asian friend that is ultra picky - she was happy. Then I saw someone with a cheese naan - had to try it - was very impressed. Takes guts to get creative with a very traditional cuisine. Love it and will return!
This is your quintessential "hole in the wall" type of establishment..,but man do they have good food here...yet to be disappointed! I had the Sindhi Biryani with Lamb, with garlic naan....very good!
The food here has got it’s own and unique taste. You can’t compare Curry Corner’s food with someone else’s food.
Good Authentic Halal Indian Pakistani food. Very friendly staff. Nice small clean place.Reasonable prices.
Delicious Indian food.....quantity of the food was generous...reasonably priced
Been going here for years, Awesome food! terrible service Everytime I go here. They go through employees like crazy, and they always have a hiring sign up. Food is premade and comes out room temperature unless you ask for it hot. Also they keep the dinning room at 83 degrees or hotter.
Our favorite Indian restaurant in the state. Always a good meal whatever we try. Can't go wrong here.
Had the CTM. Solid but not spectacular. The chicken was very juicy and tender. Better value than some of the more expensive Indian places in the valley.
Good food and quick service. Always a quick run to get the craving filled. Have eaten in once and it's always a full house. That's a good sign, has been that way long time.
Do not order from here if you want food what i got was just oil and lumps of chicken was really looking forward to some good indian and now I have nothing seriously stay away
Authentic Pakistani food at its finest.
Food was ok. The two chicken choices with the Thali just ok. Pakistani food explodes with exotic flavor that lasts well after ur done eating. This wasn’t the case. I ordered the grill platter. The seekh kabob was dry but had good flavor along with the other grilled items. Nothing was offered with the grill platter such as a green raita or limes. I was told that we don’t offer it to you. You must ask for it. Anyone who knows anything about desi kabobs, u get at least the green chutney and lines. The hot sauce bottle was disgustingly dirty with dried crusty sauce on the top. I expected a bit more from this place. I was looking forward to some amazing Pakistani cuisine. Good for the patrons with untrained desi pallet.
Food was good not great. Short haired female server was friendly at first, but never checked back once after food arrived. My wife's dish was very spicy - no warning when ordering and no checking back at all. When we never got the check, it took a lot to get the server's attention, and she told me abruptly "You can pay for it up there." Found out the total for the first time when I got to the register. We asked for take-home containers and she brought them and also said to leave a tip in cash on the table, but if we didn't have cash they could cash out at the register. Uh-huh. The food was not bad, but not worth being treated that way. I will not go back.
I LOVE Indian cuisine. I ordered my standard selections. I emphasized "MILD" Repeatively. OMG, I couldn't breathe because the food was so spicy hot! I called the restaurant to complain and the person who answered the phone began to "educate" me regarding how spicy Indian food was. I finally told him I was returning my order and I expected a full refund. Additionally, my order was larger than I had ordered which explained the high bill. I hadn't opened 90% of the containers yet when I brought my order back they actually "inspected" every item! I was finally credited for the food I returned. They were genuinely shocked when I asked for my generous tip to be returned as well. The place seems to have a steady flow but I've noticed most diners are from India. If you're not used to the very hot spicy cuisines then be very cautious about what you order.
Excellent food. The owner has been there every time we have been. She is very attentive and pleasant. This is my favorite place for Curry Goat (don't knock it if you haven't tried it).
Food is awesome! Hits the spot and very reasonable prices. good on quantity & quality! If you are vegetarian don't hesitate, you got a while lot of options
Always great. Fresh Nan and Hummus, sauces are perfect.
Delicious food, great service
Secret little hole in the wall place... With Incredible food!!
The naans are good.
Dal Lentil was amazing and it's true south Indian taste. I love to recommend this to my fellow Indians. Garlic Naan was little over salted otherwise too good. Imagine after 5 days am tasting Indian food that too in Tempe, AZ area. Thanks to Postmates who delivered this food & previous order on time. Thanks to Curry Corner as well.
Quality has really gone down over the past couple of years. When we first came here a few years ago the food was amazing. Loved the buttered chicken and chicken tiki masala. This last time we came the masala was not good at all. We ordered goat and it was tough. Pretty sad we will try it one more time hopefully it was just a bad day :(
Amazing Indian place. Like the blend of Northern Indian/ Pakistani and spicy, not usual in one restaurant!
This place is awesome, the food is always great and the prices aren't terrible. The Tikka masala fries are my favorite item and the service is good.
Love this place when I need a bold flavor that transplant me to a different place in the world.
Very authentic taste at a reasonable price. The portion size is satisfactory, complemented by quick service and friendly staff. Would deffinately recommend trying this place out for anyone looking for good Indo-pak cuisine.
Really bad food last 2 times in last 2 years. Yesterday, we took a take out and the paneer Tikka was completely burnt beyond any way to eat it. The tandoori chicken wings came completely burnt!! Not only they cooked bad, they sent it to us. We should never allow them to make money this way!!
Indo-Pakistani Restaurant. Tried Veg Biryani at Medium level of spices. It was average and not flavorful. The only good thing is that this place is open from 11 am to 9 pm, even on weekend. Easily avoidable for Veg Indian food lovers.
You're better off doing take out or delivery. Service is horrible and they guys working there are rude. Also the chicken handi tasted like beef stew and was drowning in oil (1/2 cup of oil probably for a tiny serving). Yes handi is usually oily, but this was a little crazy. Also, dont expect spicy - everything was extremely mild.
Gluten free options! Great chicken handi! Will eat this again.
Tasty food, good ambience
The service was fine, however, for a spot thats been there forever, I know why I have passed this location up many time before. I want to taste authentic Indian, this wasnt. That is unless you are from the tastebud less village. No taste whatsoever. The pakoras I ordered were once fried and then stuck in microwave to reheat. I can tell, i have done this myself with take home leftovers. The Tikka Masala lacked everything i enjoy about Indian food. The chicken was in-fact boiled in water. It was not grilled. Grilling the seasoned chicken adds flavor to the orange butter sauce. The rice was good.. its just rice though. This will place is fantastic to those who cant handle spicy (hot) foods and like to eat mac and cheese with hotdogs chopped inside. If you want authentic tasting Indian food, make a U turn up the street about a mile. I was disappointed with Curry Corner.
Their Karahi is the best, roll most of their food is amazing, definitely will be coming back for more
My favorite Indian place in the greater Phoenix area.
This restaurant is awesome. Their food is very delicious and price is reasonable. The portion of meal is very big. We tried special thali which have to chicken side and one veggie and it’s very tasty. 5 star any day.
I drove to this place for twenty minutes but Unfortunately my experience was terrible. The staff was so rude and he came to us asking to leave our seats and sit other side, we moved to other side, within two minutes two ladies sit the same spot and he never asked them to move not only that they never came to take orders, we immediately left the place. Awful place and will never recommend this restaurant to anybody.
Fantastic food, owner very nice
good hummus
I was a regular customer for like 7 years as it was close to my place and yesterday I had an insulting experience when I took my friend ls there for first time. Everytime I go I order chicken Tikka and it has been amazing. This time for the first time in 7 years it was horrible. So oily chicken was not fresh and tasted bad. Then came chicken handi which use to be tasty too but this time it was not cooked properly and onions felt raw. So we complained and the owner lady came in which I know for last 7 years . I honestly have her feedback on how food does not taste as it use to . So she took chicken handi with her inside and never came back . That felt insulting to me , if you are there to get the feedback and went inside atleast come out and say what you think what might have gone wrong indside. At the end she told her server to give 5% and then also she did not come out. I am like I am not here to get 5% discount on terrible food. I would pay full and be happy rather than take 5% off. The server took one chicken Tikka off from the system as he felt bad for the food we got . Imagine the server can understand but the owner cannot. This place should be shut down for the food they are serving and the audicity and attitude they have .
The food doesn't have a s much flavor as the other local options do.
Great Indo-Pak cuisine. Big menu, lots of tasty choices. Nice experience.
First time buying from here. I send my husband to ordered out cause I don't like to leave my fur babies alone in the hotel so I stayed back. My husband ordered cheese naan, chicken tikka masala , tandoori chicken, and rice, with samosas. They gave two bowls of chicken tikka masala, two chicken tandoori, a bunch of onions on the side, plain naan ,no rice which was very disappointing cause I have all these curry and no rice to eat. Also the samosas is lack of seasoning. I would not shop here again.
Excellent local Indian food! Highly recommend
Only those who have known curry corner should fear death, because only those who have known curry corner have truly been alive.
Best Chicken beryani I have ever had so delicious and the stuff is so friendly
Just fantastic!!! I’ve been eating here for years, and I will keep coming back!!! The chicken biryani is my go to meal. The basamati rice is cooked perfectly, and the flavor of the meal is excellent. Also, I highly recommend the samosas. Seriously, if you haven’t been here yet, check this place out. Great for take out or dining in!!!
Not recommended at all
Absolutely love this place. Great food, good environment, and better service.
I used to enjoy eating here until I recently found out the owners of this restaurant keep all the tips (unless you give it to the waiter in cash). Very shameful and disgusting. I will never eat here again.
Best Indian Food in the valley. I tried lots of different ones and this is still the best one.
Yes, please...there are places much closer to me, but I go here. This is just good food. I look forward to the chicken makhani, but I would not hesitate to order anything from the Corner. These folks can cook.
Really excellent hole in the wall for all types of curries. The menu is extensive and my waiter did a great job of helping me narrow down my decision. Very helpful. In my opinion the service is a unique type of excellent; very very casual but without lacking any attentiveness. I recommend trying something new from their specialties menu and getting your Tikka masala fix from the chicken Tikka masala pita from the extras menu.
Food was excellent... Service wasn't that great, but there was only one server.
The food was absolutely delicious!! Like home made and cooked just for me.. Wonderfully flavored with rich spices, so if you're a finicky eater this place is not for you!!!
Service is okay. Food is always delicious. Each chef puts a personal flavor to the dishes(different levels of spicy) and that keeps it interesting every time.
Authentic food at an amazing price. Quiet atmosphere and very well mannered staff. Worth a trip if you're in the mood for Indian or Pakastani cuisine.
Good food. 4 stars cus service was terrible but food was soo good.
Service was fair. Not very friendly. Always in a hurry.
Hey, dont hate on Cali but this is going out to former denizens of the Bay Area. If you are jonesing for the Indo-Pakistan you ate in the City or South Bay this is the place. I packed away some awesome kabab with onion, jalapenos and lime. I need to go back with five guys so we can.the whole menu.
I can see what the other reviews mean about the food being bland. Ordered curry and felt like I was eating boiled chicken in oily, spicy water. There was a bit of a kick but very little flavor to speak of. I think it would have been worth a dollar or two cheaper.
Amazing food! We loved it. Friendly waitress, too. Great value. We will be back!
This is one of the best curry places I've been to in quite a few years! I've tried places from Tempe to flagstaff and curry corner is one of the best! I truly recommend you make the drive to dine in when you can because their Arabic platter is decently priced for the amount of food you get! That and the diversity in flavor is something to appreciate as well since that dish comes with two different curries and a whole assortment of pastes and sauces to go with the rice and flat bread! Great place to go if you want something different, yet satisfying!
I really liked this place, and I'm glad it's so close to downtown Tempe. The service was a little off... I didn't understand that you need to take your check up to the register to pay, but the food was really excellent. I can't remember what it's called, but I had the platter with two kinds of chicken curry and some lentils.
I looked on Google for Indian food near me and found Curry Corner. What a great find! I ordered the Punjabi Handi and the garlic naan. Excellent food. I will be back.
The food is good, however they have not completed my order 4 to 5 times when I order over the phone, I get charged for everything I order but when I get home the Nan is less or they missed one of the entrees. Please check your order before you leave .
The food is really good. Sometimes service can be slow, so if you’re in a hurry to eat this may not be the place for you.
Very disappointed with the service. My wife and I had high hopes for this place but were let down. The food is average and the service is really bad. The waiter seemed very disinterested and slow, it took sometime to even get water. I've learned something, that if you walk into a place that's been on Triple D and it's pretty much empty, run and don't waste your time!
Nice staff good food
Okay food. Inexpensive
First time trying Pakistani food and it was amazing! Definitely can't wait for my foodie kid to come home from Ft. Jackson to try. Definitely not disappointed! Amazing!
This was me and my wife's first time here, we we're seated promptly and our drink order was taken right away. The waiter help us decide what to order. The food was great. Definitely recommend.
It was ok. Veg food is not that awesome. But tasting Indian food after a long time. Even the not so great food becomes tasty
Good staff.. no waiting.. rice good .. takkah masala delicious.. samosa not bad .. Nan bread nice ..
Good food..service is not as great.
I have been going there from last 5 year and their food were amazing for the prices, but i noticed from past 2 years to be honest their food quality went from 10 to 4! My wife used to love their chicken Tikka Masala so much that we would go every week just for that, but ever since the taste went away we stopped going... she would still tell me to go once in a while, but we returned home disappointed every time.. we now finally decided we are not going back..
The food is quite good but we did not have a very good experience with the staff. They kept us waiting long unnecessarily and different people from the staff came to confirm our order and asked us to let another staff member know that we are still waiting for our food.
Amazing food, got the Arabic plate and mango lassi. The food tastes homemade and it was $9.50 for the plate. Wonderful food for great prices is the best anyone could ask for. I also had a good amount of leftovers.
Good food however the service is just too slow. Do not recommend for a quick lunch.
Really nice Curries and excellent tea. However it is letting itself down by serving stale looking salad, no roti only naan from a Pakistani restaurant! a little disappointed with that. However the curries are very good indeed
It used to be excellent , but few months the quality of food has gone down. the curry are all same and Naans under Cooked .
The naan, tikka fries and veg handi were excellent! Very laid back atmosphere too, excited to return.
This is a good place for relatively inexpensive and homely meal. The food tastes okay. My only problem is that the food was always cold, not really cold, but not even really hot, which is expected when you eat temperature wise hot food in a restaurant. I have eaten there twice and both times I ordered vegetarian thali and both times, my naan was cold and the food not at great temperature. I saw other foods sizzling hot, but that was not the case, either with the vegetable dishes in the thali, nor with naan. So I don't know if it has anything to do with vegetarian food being less in demand or it is negligence.
The food at Curry Corner is fantastic! Great place if you are vegetarian or not. Lunch prices are great and well worth the try.
Tried their Thaali and it was all watered down tasteless foods. Over priced and low quality. Owner is always rushing himself and his starf. He radiates anxiety and it doesnt make foe the most relaxing and stressfree eating out experience
Great place! Yummy Indian cuisine, fair price. :)
food was great, that’s why I gave it 2 stars but service was HORRIBLE. they gave us chipped and broken plates!! the waiter didn’t even set them up for us he just tossed them onto our table in a pile and we had to set up the utensils and plates by ourselves. the wait was also in a rush or something even though the restaurant was obviously not busy at the time; he would just place the plates down abruptly and take off. was not happy with the way we were treated. I would like to come back for the food but the service was simply disappointing. the staff clearly has NO care for the customer or any basic manners and hospitality.
Excellent place to enjoy Indian and Pakistani styled cuisine, lots of items to select from and every menu item is equally delicious. I love this place.
It was pretty quiet when I went today. First time I had been here, though had been wanting to go for ages. I got the lamb biryani, which I hadn't had in ages, and it was very delicious. Would definitely come back again.
Terrible service and felt unwelcome, will never go back there or recommend to anyone else curry corner ☹️
Awesome food, service was excellent and friendly. Stopped in last year during a trip to Spring Training games, and had to come again this year. Our server was very friendly and helpful, and answered a load of questions.
My food was good but my chicken leg was a little tooooooo pink....it was a good meal.
- Well designed & clear MENU - Very delicious & full of flavor MEAL - Really high quality & fresh INGREDIENTS And finally the best thing is that the price is perfect Definitely I will visit them again and again
Taste is good. Food is ok.
