We went there yesterday for my daughter's birthday. It was fairly busy. We were a party of 5 me plus a high chair. We were put towards the back of the restaurant and it was obvious that it was warm. We stayed but it was as though there wasn't any A/C working at all. We were all sweating, my husband ordered the roasted chicken and it was very dry. A party of 20 came in and after being seated left due to the heat. It was terribly uncomfortable and made enjoying dinner nearly impossible. Will not go back!

Place used to be top notch. They definitely charge as if it were a 5 star restaurant. Calamari is imitation and it made us sick. So... $80 for nothing. If you want a great atmosphere and love throwing money away. Then this is the spot for you!

Ordered carryout, carryout door locked. No one at main entrance, waited 5 minutes then went to the bar. My feet stuck to the floor in the bar area. Finally left 15 minutes later. Ordered 2 entrees, over 50 bucks. Meatloaf was over cooked and black. Widow maker burger just didn't taste fresh, like the beef was once frozen.

The dining area was closed before 8pm. We had to seat ourselves at the bar, which was difficult for a family of 4 at round tables made for 2. Waited for server for 10 min, we ended up leaving a going to Chili's next door.

Still one of my favorite places to eat. The portions are crazy big, but food is so good you will be happy for the leftovers. And whenever possible, get the motherlode, share it with the table next to you if necessary, just do it. It is so worth the calories!

Work meals are usually hosted here, since my building is right across the street. I can't complain though, the food is always so very good. I always get the grilled fish tacos, OMG...I think I need to go get some more! So good. The staff are always helpful, quick, and friendly!

Came in at 8:25 and the dining room was closed! That sucks. They changed the shoestring French fries! They are short staffed tonight or maybe they cut too early. We were sad we had to be smushed in the bar, tiny table not very baby friendly! Our waitress was clearly busy and overwhelmed, not thrilled with us sitting in her section. We ordered off the happy hour menu which we thought would be quick items. Our food took too long. It’s 930 we’re waiting for the computers to start working again? Super cool

Truly a wonderful restaurant with excellent cuisine; steak cooked to perfection, just the way you like it. Though the prices are a little bit high, the quality of the food makes up for it in my eye. Though, they do keep the temperature a little high, which is saying something in the winter. Still, it's a remarkable place with truly exceptional service.

The server was great, I ordered the club sandwich with fries, the portion was more than expected!!!! I could only finish half. It had real sliced turkey and ham, delicious bacon, perfectly cooked, and they make it on grilled parmesan bread, words can't say enough about how good this sandwich is. The fries were homemade, yum, I also ordered the raspberry martini, loved it, perfect not too sweet. One last tip, order ranch with the sandwich, the server suggested this and he was soooooo right, yum yum

The bar at Claim Jumper is so awesome. Fireplace. dim lighting and excellent appetizers. Food was very tasty and the prices were excellent. My favorite chardonnay was included in happy hour. My friend and I had a warm and inviting time together at this location. The only improvement would have been a greeting when we walked in. Four employees were behind the check-in counter and no one spoke to us. It didn't ruin our time and we will be back. I recommend Claim Jumper bar for a quaint and cozy happy hour!

My family and I were in a bit of a hurry to catch a movie. We walked in and they seated us immediately and took our drink orders. I wasn't brave enough to try anything so I had the classic widow Maker burger which never disappoints. The food was cooked perfectly and it came out of the kitchen fast and hot. Waitress was prompt and courteous and checked in with us multiple times throughout our meal. We will be sure to come back again.

Once a month lunch with friends. Great service and really good lunch prices. If you are celebrating a birthday for someone in the group they will bring a little butter cake with vanilla ice cream, we all shared it, wow it was awesome!

We both ordered the rotisserie chicken, super small and way overcooked where we couldn't eat it. Costco chicken is seriously twice the size. Veggies were cut in sliver size discs, soggy and burnt, very hard to do. It used to be a good place to eat but now its horrible and overpriced. One star only because no stars are available.

1st of all, the food was outstanding. Chicken and steaks were perfect. This is about service. Salads were really late, so 2 bites in not them, the entrees came. Luckily, the manager recognized that and took them back to the kitchen, saying they would start them over again. The waitress had 3 tables, but ignored us 3 times asking for water, the check was super late, but when we looked toward the kitchen, she was standing there yucking it up with a other server. Lastly, I never give less than 18% gratuity. Tonight, 10%. Hope she gets the hint.

My husband and I went to the Claim Jumpers off of Deer Valley and the 101 on Memorial Day. We ordered cheese sticks and zucchini. The cheese sticks were barely warm and the zucchini was very good. Our server was great and the manager was very accommodating. I also ordered the raspberry cheese cake to go. The piece of pie was very small and tasted stale. They changed the raspberry sauce! It was bitter. That's the entire reason I go to Claim Jumpers. Usually we have a great experience. Which I still had a great time with great company! I love you babe! Thank you!

Vey disappointed. I love claim jumper but i was so disappointed. I ordered the bbq chicken salad which i have always loved. This time i got lunch meat for the chicke not a real chicken brest as always in the past. I mean the salad is 13.99 for the lunch salad. And to get lunch meat for the meat was so disappointing. I could hardly believe that claim jumper had gotten so chincy. I did ask the waitress about it and she said u have to request the chicken breast. Really, really??? How sad is that!!! Its unbelievable how these fine establishments cut back on the quality of the food. Nevertheless i wont go back to the claim jumper at this location. I want to say to claim jumper shame on you!!! Does the menu say lunch meat for the chicken. I dont think so. Does the menu say if u want real chicke u must request it. I dont think so!!! So shame on u claim jumper!!!!!

Nice place but food was horrible. It seemed everything had sugar in it. Steak was okay but all of the sides were horrible. Soggy veggies, gross cream corn and chicken smothered in sauce that was a goop of who knows what. Tried it but will not be coming back.

I really like this restaurant. I don't know if it's the "cabin in the woods" or "mountain resort Lodge" atmosphere, but it just resonates with me. The food is mighty tasty and the portions are on the larger size. The wait staff usually do a really good job of checking in on you and are more than happy to bring you extra whatever's. Just be cautious of the cheesey dinner role that they give before your entre arrives. I'll eat the whole damn thing by myself and end up taking half my Widowmaker home with me. Check out their 12" tall slice of cake. Enough for you and a small country for desert.

Always great food, and very large portions. I had the chicken pot pie. It rocks. One of my favorite pot pies I have ever had. Service was great. We were there around 4:30 and here was no wait. By the time we left there was a small wait. I recommend trying this place and even the pot pie. It is big enough to split for all but the very hearty appetite.

It was okay. The ribeye wasn't too good, the server was personable, the asparagus was huge and thick. Not my most favorite. They used some kind of butter sauce that was weirdly yellow. The loaded potato was okay. The actual potato was dry once you ate through the top yummy stuff. I may return to at least try there salad.

Though this place is a little bit pricey, the food and drinks definitely make ot worth it. My one complaint and it's a weird one, is that there was still food under the table from the people before us. A lot of food. When I slipped my heels off, my foot touched slimy chicken.

This time..restaurant wasnt busy at all and we been waiting for food about 1 hour 5 people, also not a good server not good at all, we been waiting for beverages more then 40 minutes. Food was good. I am absolutely in love with Claim Jumpers. Very clean, amazing staff, our waitress was one of the best I've had. We went for memorial day for the free meal for military. My bf is a vet but he's only 28 and has long curly hair so it's hard to believe without seeing his military id and many vendors and cashiers catch an attitude because they believe he is lying to get free stuff, we had a terrible experience at Denny's on bell near the 17 for that very reason but the lady that took care of us at Claim Jumpers didn't bat an eye and was friendly, conversational, attentive and just amazing. Their bathrooms are very clean, stocked and there were no odors, the restaurant itself was also very clean and the food was hot and delicious. It's a little pricey but well worth it.

I've only been to a Claim Jumper a few times, but it was the bf's first time and he was very pleasantly surprised. No matter what cut of steak you get or of another kind of dish, its gonna be a HUGE portion (good for leftovers, yum!) and well worth the, at first glance, high price. Besides that, they also have a really good cheesy bread that is endless. We also got desert. You can't go wrong with any choice in the restaurant, really, but I definitely reccomend the carrot cake or the cheesecake. They are definitely large enough to be shared too! The service was great too, or server was awesome and very helpful with suggestions. We also had two managers, one was the GM, who were also checking in on us and were very helpful and friendly as well.

My friend and I we ate at the bar it was fast The Waitresses were funny and it seems like we were old timers which we are but Old Timers in their place. The formal dining area is excellent and I usually eat there however because of the kids that were waiting on us I would eat out in the bar at the tables when I was with the guys. I got the meatloaf and it is fantastic!! My husband got the sirloin and loaded baked potato. He enjoyed it very much. We traveled out of our way to get here and have really enjoyed the food. Fast service and the food came in a reasonable time. I would come here again if I travel back through this area.

At first, I was excited to hear about this place, living in a city without one. To be honest, it turn out to be another chain restaurant. The only good thing they had was Pecan Butter Cake. So I leave Phoenix feeling let down. THANK GOD there is not one in St. Louis.

Always a great experience! Sat in the bar area during Happy Hour and the service and specials were great. Their portions of HH snacks are bigger than most regular restaurants full size appetizers. Our server MaKenna was excellent!

It's too bad how far down this restaurant has gone over the years. Our friends' drinks were wrong despite being ordered very carefully. My margarita was an awful tasting mix. Bear in mind the prices on these drinks were high so they should have been good. The food is very mediocre with again fairly high prices that should have meant way better food. The table was sticky so it's clear that they don't clean the restaurant very well. We were there at dinner and the restaurant would be lucky to be 1/4 full. Any decent management should know about & remedy these problems. Maybe consider hiring bartenders who know how to mix drinks and especially hire cooks that know how to cook. Seems like basic investments for a restaurant that you want to be successful. On the plus side, our server was wonderful but she could only overcome so much. Won't be going back.

Service was lacking and the food was terrible. I honestly get better burgers from MCDONALD'S. Yes... I'm a fatty so I can judge as so. The food here used to be a higher caliber/quality but that's no kore. $20 for a burger/soda that was somehow medium rare on edges but burnt to a crisp is the middle is not worth it in my mind or mouth. Fries were stale as Hell and yes I've dined in Hell and they have much better show string fries! I won't be coming here again by choice... I'll only go if my Mom has another hair brained idea to eat there out of convenience.

Generous portions for everything we ordered. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the decor is outdated. It's a bit dreary but the food was delicious and fresh. They have a daily special worth checking out. Hubby and I are vegetarians and there were several items on the menu to choose from, mostly salads and appetizers but they do have a vegeburger that can be fixed any way you like.

Food was good. But the size has shrunk big time and the price is still the same. Ask about the beef rib, used to get 3 he said it was a big rib, it was 6" long and was barely 1" thick with the bone inside. They did get me another rib, manager was good.

This place is great we only go for the mother load cake. My last visit was a little lack luster. My waiter might have been having a bad night and you could tell. First time eating here. The waitress was outstanding. Had some food issue . The cheeses sticks didn't have any cheese in them. they were hollow inside with a nice fried batter shell. I ordered the bone in rib eye, med rare, when they brought it to the table I immediately started smelling something bad. I cut a small piece of it off and smelled it . It was rancid, I had my wife smell it to confirm ,she gagged. The waitress who was fabulous. took it back and when she returned stated that in her four years of working there has never seen nor smelled anything like that come from the kitchen and she confirmed that the chef is currently going through all of the meat and checking it. They didn't charge me for the steak and comped me a rack of ribs . Unfortunately I did eat some of the mashed potatoes from that plate before I realized that the steak was bad. You can guess the rest .its gonna be a long night.

Great restaurant for food but don't sit in the bar area. Waitress was rude and slow with an attitude. Asked for a particular football game to be put on which she blew off. Once we received our drinks we reminded her at the game and she replied with a rude commit. Take in mind the bar area had my wife and I and one other table with a party of two. Not busy at all. We heard our server ask the bar tender to put on the other game and she said " they can go home and watch the game!" She put on the same game on which was next to the TV on purpose because she looked right as with a dirty look. Once our server brought our salads she placed it on the table with force and immediately turned around with out asking if we needed anything.We had to silverware and we were in shock with want we were experiencing. Our drinks were terrible, the worst Old Fashion and the Tom Collin tasted like sour lemonade don't know how you can mess up these two particular drinks which one is on the menu! We walked out and taking out business else where! Never sitting at the bar area. The place is always a hit with the food but my wife and I are going to stay away from that particular place for awhile.

Claim Jumper used to be known as the restaurant with a good food with a good value and big portions. Next anymore! $27 for 4 medium baby back ribs and five 1/8" slices of Tri-Tip. Their side salad was small and it cost extra for six pieces of asparagus.

I've gone to this resturant for over 10 years, taking family, friends and coworkers for casual and event celebrations. The food and service was alwaus top notch. Apparently this is no longer a Landry's resturant and now under new management at the Deey Valley location. I invited 3 friends to meet for lunch and the experience was wall to wall disappointing. I had a tri tip sandwich that was ordered as well done came to us medium rare and as tough as an old boot absolutly un chewable. The one friend got fried chicken fingers which was the only good plate at the table. Service was slow and unresponsive during a time when almost no customers. When we politly pointed out problems with the dishes the waitress just said I'm sorry...no offer to advise the manager or a light off of partial comp. So sad...be for warned.

Sorry the location in north Phoenix (101 & 31st ave) has service and food quality issues. Plus, they don't accept landry' reward cards anymore due to a buyout from another parent company. Unless you improve the service of both food and servers, and honor the landry's reward cards i will not be returning.

Food was good service was good there was a little mix up with wifes order but was taken care of quite fast. The only complaint was we were sitting in the bar area and the booth we had there was a exit door behind us and a group of people at the bar kept going out the door to smoke so we kept getting the smoke odor, we were half finished with our meal so we didn't say anything to anybody . So that would be our fault. Other than that great place to eat and drink ,excellent happy hour!!

Very disappointed waited 14 minutes to get a drink. Weighted additional 6 minutes to get the Lovely bread. My steak was prepared well. My wife's steak was overcooked. Manager tried to make it up by giving us a discount it's not what you wanted want to get food. And service

I went to Claim Jumpers for dinner and decided to sit in the bar. It took almost 15 minutes for someone to greet us and take drink orders. They brought the drinks out and took our appetizer orders. Appetizers came out after a few minutes and they took our dinner orders. It took another 10 minutes to get a drink refill. My girlfriend ordered the wedge salad and fish tacos. I ordered the widowmaker burger for dinner. They brought her salad out and she ate it. It took almost 25 minutes for my burger and her taco. We asked the server to check on our food. Then it came right out and food was cold. No server to ask to heat food up. They were too busy arguing with each other about who was supposed to clean what. After about 10 mins a different server walked by and I asked for check. We paid and left. I dont plan on going back. Worst service I have experienced in a while.

Went here with gift cards for our 18th/16th anniversary. I will go here to just pick up their humongous chocolate cake that's soooooo yummy. Their dishes are all so amazing. And of course the staff always very nice even took a pics for us. Always a clean establishment.

It's been YEARS since we went after a bad experience at another location. The service we received here was top notch! He was very attentive and extremely friendly. My wife and kids were happy with the service and the food. A little pricey for us, but a great dining experience nonetheless.

I'm a bit addicted to the bar food. We come here for a treat. The Girls Night Out cocktail is awesome. So are the martinis. Best Lemondrop ever. Not too sweet, lots of flavour. Love the Cowboy Bacon (3 or 5 piece) I always order the 5 piece.... nom. They have cool potatoes cakes, crispy outside, gooey inside. Textures sensation.. the calamari is fab. I love the slaw with the ...Coconut Shrimp!! Awesome appetizer.

Access can be confusing to the restuarant. The food is worth it. Great atmosphere very enjoyable. I had the cheeseburger and it was Awesome ! There are many great choices to choose from. But I do recommend the cheeseburger.

I love the happy food, drinks and prices. It's my favorite place for a Margarita and Street Tacos. The only problem is the tables are nailed to the ground and it's not as conducive to groups of 5 or more. It becomes a bit awkward.

The bar at Claim Jumper is so awesome. Fireplace. dim lighting and excellent appetizers. Food was very tasty and the prices were excellent. My favorite chardonnay was included in happy hour. My friend and I had a warm and inviting time together at this location. The only improvement would have been a greeting when we walked in. Four employees were behind the check-in counter and no one spoke to us. It didn't ruin our time and we will be back. I recommend Claim Jumper bar for a quaint and cozy happy hour!

I love this place, especially for lunch and happy hour. The portions are huge and the food is excellent, every time. The menu is huge. I am a huge fan of the chicken tortilla soup and their BBQ. The appetizers for happy hour are all good.

we haven't been to claim jumper in quite a while maybe over a year. Unfortunately they have changed so much of their menu from years ago which used to be outstanding! I had the loaded baked potato with grilled chicken and it ended up coming with sliced deli meat. Not good at all compared to what I used to have Which was actual grilled chicken. Other items on the menu don't taste quite as good as they used to either. Very disappointing!
