Overall, very good experience. We were quickly greeted at the door and seated. We sat at a table with views of the main road. Great, entertaining view. Little water feature/pond and waterfall. The birds were taken plenty of bathes to cool off. Salad bar was nice, but could use some freshening up. The clam chowder was very good to my bf. I had the blackened shrimp with Alfredo sauce on fettuccine noodles it was good. He had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy. He ate it all and said it was very good. I had Lemon Meringue Pie, it was good. Service was very good.

We go to Calico's 2-3 times a month. It has a real good soup and salad bar. I personally like the Turkey and green chili sandwich. They have a good steak night. Their other meals are good too.

I'm a member of a civic club that has monthly meetings at Calicos. Every time I have Great service and I usually get the Chili Size and Fries. Although they have an extensive menu. The atmosphere is pleasant and the Waitresses are the best. They have a full bar for all your needs with Tractor Trailer parking on site.

I had the prime rib steak med. I ordered it with the garlic mashed potatoes. It was worth every penny. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy, tender, soft, and flavorful. All the food items tasted very fresh. The service was wonderful. Lyn was welcoming, genuine and very prompt. We stopped by on our way back from Las Vegas. Thank you for being wonderful Lynn.

Stayed in the area two days, attempted to eat here three different times. The first time was so-so, service was kinda slow, not terribly friendly, and they were vacuuming around my table while I had food (disgusting). But overall not awful. The second time why is about 30 minutes before closing at night and when I arrived the whole place was dark, everyone had already left. the third time was for breakfast and the food, service, and attitude was excellent! Rina helped me and was awesome. She single handedly prevented a "meh" rating.

Needed a quick bite, stopped into this adorable, rustic little spot. They have a great menu of specialty sandwiches and burgers. Luckily they have several side choices, including sweet potato fries, so we were all very happy!

Seriously, this place is so cute. The food is top notch American comfort food and our wait staff was adorable! I seriously wanted to adopt her, nevermind that she was at least in her late 40s. Amazing service, yummy salad bar, and cute location. Their menus are like an old fashioned news paper and they have a "weekly bulletin" complete with cheesy jokes, horoscopes, and trivia. Hope to pass through this town and dine here again.

This place was suggested by our RV park. We had dinner there this past Monday night. The waitress was very nice but the food was terrible. Tasteless meat loaf special for $14 and a flat iron stake about the same price - which was appropriately named because a knife was no match for it. The only saving grace was that we took it home and added it to the dog meals which they seemed to appreciate. $31 not including a generous tip could have been better spent at the Safeway up the street. I own more than one business and I know how hurtful a negative review can be. My hope is that they will look at the truth and make adjustment. I would expect their survival may depend on it. W

Very good breakfast. Good service too. We ordered omelettes and they automatically give you the 3 egg so speak up if you want less. The wheat toast is actually wheat and not the cheapo air bread most restaurants use. We will be back on our way home.

Calico's is an excellent restaurant. I've been a customer for over 20 years and I have never been disappointed. They have a great menu selection including a really good soup & salad bar. They also serve the best sandwiches around. Today I had a grilled Roast beef and Turkey with Swiss cheese and sliced tomatoes served on parmesan sourdough bread. It was absolutely amazing! So if you are new to the area or just passing through, stop in at Calico's restaurant. It's totally worth stopping in and enjoying a great tasty, hearty meal. The restaurant is always clean and tidy. The waitresses are very nice and friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. You have my word on it.

Great food at reasonable prices. My kids LOVE the sundae bar. Service has always been prompt and our orders have been right. It's a quieter atmosphere than larger chain restaurants, and you aren't packed in like a bunch of sardines.

Food is always good. But today my Scramble looked more like my son's omelet. Also I thought country fried potatoes usually have peppers and onions these were fried potato slices most of them were very crispy. Note to self...order hashbrowns. Service is ALWAYS EXCELLENT.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Salad bar was simple but nice. Clean and well kept. The blue cheese was good. My wife had the hot Turkey sandwich and said it was good. My son the the shrimp and really liked it. I had the alfredo and was disappointed with the sauce. It tasted jarred not homemade at all. The food that got delivered to the table next to us looked phenomenal. We will revisit this place.

Wife and I stopped in on the way home from Vegas to Phoenix. Wasn't expecting much, but it's a very nice little family restaurant. My wife ordered a breakfast plate and everything arrived quickly and as ordered (crispy bacon, eggs over hard with the yolks broke). I really enjoyed my breakfast sandwich, which was scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese and tomato on a croissant, with hash browns. Everything was served hot and we had very pleasant service. Glad we stopped here rather than a national chain, because we try keeping money in the smaller cities.

Went for the first time with my husband and daughter. Ordered the make your own sandwich soup and salad bar. Excellent homemade soups with great choices for salad and making your sandwiches. Service was very friendly and prompt. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is they need to get rid of the stained carpet in the dining room which makes it unappealing. Will definitely go again, just won't look at the carpet.

Within easy walking distance of the Tesla Supercharger, this is an excellent place to stop for a friendly bite to eat! Calico's is a nice cafe, with pleasant staff and tasty food. I heartily recommend it, should you find yourself bin Kingman.

We usually hesitate to eat at restaurants connected to motels. They tend to be less than average. That was not the case here at Calico's. The food, service, and atmosphere by far exceeded our expectations. The staff are friendly, while tending to business ... the food (Sunday brunch buffet), displayed beautifully and delicious. And did I forget to mention ... reasonably priced! This place is a jewel.

Compliments to the chef! As a truck driver sometimes I just need real food. And this place fit the bill recommended by the gal of the truck stop cuz they're restaurants being remodeled. But this was way better! The coffee was great! Fast friendly service the prices were right! I had eggs benedict traditional which was superb and they did my potatoes exactly how I wanted them crispy with onions and cheese on top and I got a New York strip to go to share with my very spoiled pooch! The New York strips in halada truck stop restaurants are full of a lot of fillers. This was the real deal had great flavor. I can't say enough about this place! The environment was really nice like being at home with family at Family chairs not corporate type chairs no TV in there! Which was great just relaxed upbeat wonderful food! Worth the trip! There's a few big rig parking spots behind the Motel 6 next door. Check it out! Did I say the coffee was great? The coffee was great!

Moved here from Southern California a few years back. I try and take my mom out for a mother-son date night as much as I can. I like searching out new places we have not been. I read a bunch of good reviews online so I decided to come out to calicos tonight. Let me tell you, the Jack Daniel's steak sandwich was unbelievable and my mom's beer-battered shrimp were amazing. I had two Whiskey and cokes and they were perfectly mixed. Just stopping by here to give an excellent five star review of this wonderful restaurant.

Stopped here 2 years ago and had the Cattlemans Cut Prime Rib. Thought is was the best tasting steak I ever had. Needed to see if I was accurate on that review so I stopped there and had the same dish today. Still is the Best Prime Rib I have ever eaten. Kudos to Calicos. Headed back to Montana now.

Wonderful little restaurant. The service was phenomenal. The food was amazing. Excellent selection of Traditional Americana food. Great variety on the kids menu. Has a lovely little gift shop with reasonably priced trinkets. Lots of regulars who provided lovely conversation while waiting for our meal. Restrooms were clean and well kempt. It was a luxury to find such a good on a desolate road. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful! Staff great, wonderful atmosphere, and they have great gluten free breakfast. Hash browns not contaminated with wheat as some processed types are and actually have gluten free bread. Highly recommend. Biscuits and gravy were generous and big fluffy biscuits. My companion was on the phone and waitress was so patient and pleasant. Prices are very reasonable.
