My cousin and I met there a few weeks ago for breakfast, and were absolutely blown away by the attention of the staff, and specifically our amazing waitress Megan. We felt like we were the only customers in the restaurant. Megan was kind, patient, and had the best attitude! Our meals arrived quickly, were hot and so delicious. I recommend the New Mexico Skillet! This was a unique and a one-of-a-kind dining experience that you most assuredly will come away from with a full stomach and good memories. Thanks Butterfield's!

One of our favorite family breakfest stops. There is always a wait because it's so popular. My mom loves the dutch baby pancake and it takes about 40 minutes ...so she orders it as soon as we sit so it can get started and brought out with the rest of the food. Atmosphere is busy but not rushed

The food here was great! We ordered a few different types of food ranging from the more traditional big breakfast to some of their more trendy dishes. The eggs Benedict was a definite miss on their part but the other dishes were fantastic! Highly recommend ordering a main meal and adding a short stack of pancakes to share for a few bucks. That way you can get the best of everything!

The food was excellent, coffee was decent, service was fantastic! They did not have a whole grain choice of bread, which was disappointing, but okay. The coffee wasn't as strong as I enjoy. I added creamer, not a lot, and you pretty much couldn't taste the coffee. I would most definitely go back because my skillet was so tasty!!! Very good. Long line of people out the door. Oh, and I ordered over medium eggs and they came over easy. Just minor stuff, but overall, great!

This place is beyond great in my opinion. A free flowing area space without feeling like your jammed in next to other people. The service is on point from start to finish. The food is excellent!! The coffee is balanced with a great taste. Water is on the table waiting for you when you sit down in a decorative glass pitcher. Everything this restaurant does has been well thought out and makes you want to come back. We drive from 99th ave and Lake Pleasant to Scottsdale to have breakfast 3 times a month. This will become your favorite spot on a day off if not more.

This was my first visit and everything was amazing! I had a BYO omelette (bacon, onion, tomato and cheddar cheese) and upgraded to the banana cream pancake. Holy moly, it was criminal it was so good! All of it. My husband had the whole hog skillet and upgraded to the blueberry Danish pancakes. He loved his meal as well. The coffee was delicious and the service was excellent! Can't wait to go back!

I love Butterfields! My mom & I go at least 1x a month. They have excellent pancakes and waffles, which are especially good with strawberries & their berry compote! Everyone is really nice! It seems like everyone works together very well and you can tell everyone works really hard to keep everything running smoothly. Love that I can check in on the No Wait app before I get there to save time!

A good buddy of mine asked to have breakfast here as it was rated as # 1 breakfast spot in the valley. He received poor and inaccurate information as this place is strictly ho hum at best. A very nice staff and an okay menu but my breakfast was lacking in too many ways to explain here today. This is a "nice" facility, with good parking and a great staff but I'm afraid the food quality will direct me to other restaurants first. Thanks for reading

I came here with my girlfriend for the first time and had the best breakfast dining experience. Ambiance is exactly what you want for a breakfast joint. The staff was knew the menu very well and they had great options. I ended up ordering the Mexicans omelette with chocolate chip pancakes. All our food was perfect!

Amazing breakfast spot! The service was fantastic, everyone was extremely accommodating and friendly. There were tons of breakfast options from specialty pancakes and crepes to scrambles and biscuits and gravy. There was definitely a food option for everyone in the group! The coffee (cold brew and caramel latte) was better than expected, but couldn't match the unbelievably great food. Nothing ordered disappointed, but the pancakes were definitely the best (the best I've ever personally had). Definitely stop by and be sure to give a specialty pancake a try!

We dined at Butterfield's during Spring Training time so the place was packed which means long wait time to be seated, 45-55ish minutes. The food was decent but $40 for 2 for breakfast, I'll give somewhere else a try next time.

Great place to visit while I'm staying in Scottsdale. Better than the other pancakes restaurants in the area. Extremely busy, sometimes a 30min wait, but once we get seated, drinks come, then the food. Great food, always something on the menu that I want to try. Really nice staff and friendly atmosphere. We had our best breakfast at Butterfield's since moving to Arizona about a year-and-a-half ago. Denver omelet was excellent and the strawberry crepes were delicious!!! We drove about a half an hour to give it a try and were very pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended!!!

I enjoy the pancakes the most. A+ The breakfast sausage and hash browns are good. B+ The eggs are average scrambled eggs and sadly not much better than any other restaurants. C. They are edible. It is very loud in the morning but that is to be expected. The few times I did not order to go I had good/great service. The atmosphere is calm. Yes. My mouth was watering in the episode, and when I was served today, the smell and the visuals made my mouth run! They exceeded my expectations and my server was super nice. It's amazing. There is always a wait and for good reason, the food!!! The waits are usually short. I only have had breakfast, but they have lunch items too. Their Orange Juice is fresh and is the best in Phoenix. My wife loves the banana cream French toast which she thinks is the best. My wife also loves the coffee! If you go once you will want to return again.

I always order the Cinnamon Toast Pancakes, Turkey bacon, hashbrowns, cheese grits, & scrambled eggs with their fresh squeezed orange juice. I'll first start by saying the food here is absolutely amazing. So delicious and fresh. I've come on 2 seperate occasions. The 1st time, everything was perfect (just my husband and I). The 2nd time, I was with a group of 6. I get that larger groups may be a little more difficult... I get it. But our food came out in such odd waves. I ordered the mexican omelet and pancakes, as a meal. They come together..or they're supposed to. I got my omelet first and 10 mins later got my pancakes. Several ppl and our group had the same experience. I'm not sure if there were new ppl in the kitchen or if our waitress was new or not but it kind of took away from the experience. I'm a foody and I was particularly hungry this day and wanted all my food at once Lol (or at least closer together). I'll still go back. Just hope they fix that one little issue!

The best breakfast I have had in a long time. We ordered the baby apple oven baked pancake. It was absolutely delicious. It was well worth the wait for a warm gooey apple delight. I recommend ordering it and sharing with the table because everyone will want to experience this. We also ordered the banana cream pancakes with pecan crumble. Perfect combination of flavors and textures. It reminded us of our great aunt's banana Pudding. The waitress was so kind and helpful. She provided excellent service and suggestions. She exceeded expectations. Wait was only about 15min on a Saturday morning for 2 people. Was not bad at all. I expected it to take longer. Overall it was a great experience and it is now listed as my favorite breakfast place. We will have to come back for more.

This was a cozy, cute, and decadent breakfast find. I loved the warmth the colors and decor. The staff was smiley, friendly, and efficient. The wait for our breakfast was not long after ordering. I have been here a few times & never been disappointed. There might be a long line to get in especially on the weekends but it's worth the wait. The food is always fresh and delicious. I'll first start by saying the food here is absolutely amazing. So delicious and fresh. I've come on 2 seperate occasions. The 1st time, everything was perfect (just my husband and I). The 2nd time, I was with a group of 6. I get that larger groups may be a little more difficult... I get it. But our food came out in such odd waves. I ordered the mexican omelet and pancakes, as a meal. They come together..or they're supposed to. I got my omelet first and 10 mins later got my pancakes. Several ppl and our group had the same experience. I'm not sure if there were new ppl in the kitchen or if our waitress was new or not but it kind of took away from the experience. I'm a foody and I was particularly hungry this day and wanted all my food at once Lol (or at least closer together). I'll still go back. Just hope they fix that one little issue!

The best breakfast I have had in a long time. We ordered the baby apple oven baked pancake. It was absolutely delicious. It was well worth the wait for a warm gooey apple delight. I recommend ordering it and sharing with the table because everyone will want to experience this. We also ordered the banana cream pancakes with pecan crumble. Perfect combination of flavors and textures. It reminded us of our great aunt's banana Pudding. The waitress was so kind and helpful. She provided excellent service and suggestions. She exceeded expectations. Wait was only about 15min on a Saturday morning for 2 people. Was not bad at all. I expected it to take longer. Overall it was a great experience and it is now listed as my favorite breakfast place. We will have to come back for more.

You need to allow 25-30 minutes if you order, but the end result is worth the wait. A baked pancake, glazed with cinnamon sugar and apples. It's almost like eating an apple pie for breakfast. The omelettes are fluffy and can be customized with your choice of ingredients. Pancakes are fluffy and moist with bottled syrup at every table. I would highly recommend Butterfield's for a great breakfast!

Because everything was so fantastic, I'll start with the only thing that was not good. Our table shared/sampled everything and had same opinions. We ordered sides of sausage links, biscuits & gravy, and grits. While the links were great, we wouldn't order the other two items again. The grits were a weird texture, kind of like a not-fully-cooked rice pudding with a greasy cream. We like to add Tabasco, sugar, & a lil butter to our grits, but even that couldn't save the day. The biscuits felt amazing in texture with slight crisp to outside with a moist flaky interior, but the gravy was gross. Very salty and kind of like someone added a bit too much fake liquid smoke. As for the entrees: Baked Potato Omelette added ham & jalapeno (.25 each addition, super cool) and a Veggie Omelette (added double salmon, also just .25 each!). Omelettes came with hash browns which we loved. They shave the potatoe and it comes out with all of these flavorful crispy brown edges. They also came with pancakes that we upgraded to specialty ones. OhMYGOODnESS! One was the cinnamon roll, the other was the apple cinnmon pecan caramel...on their own they were great, put them together and they were INcreDible! I meant to suggest that they put that combo on the menu, but I forgot - I will next time, because I will most definitely be back! Our server, Stan was also great. He didn't introduce himself, but I made sure to check our receipt so that I could give him yelper kudos for a job well done. Coffee and waters were always full (small creamer cups were too). A place can have amazing food but if service sucks, I don't usually return. Butterfields will always be high on my recommendation list for anyone looking. Corned beef hash skillet was well seasoned and great portion. Raisin toast was a good companion and very fresh. Bacon gets an honorable mention as it was the driving force for our visit.

We enjoy going to Butterfields for a variety of menu choices. Always good and fresh. Very popular breakfast place. Butterfield's has the best French Toast in town. It has excellent flavor and just melts in your mouth! There are many varieties offered, but the regular one is quite good on its own, especially if you're not into super sweet add ons. Their pancakes are also quite good, and they have a wide array of flavors from which to choose.

There were 4 in our party. We originally got seated by the door which was quite chilly. I did request for us to be moved. We went around lunch and the noise level was very high. Great prices and great food. We were visiting and everyone was pleased with their meal. The wait was about 30 min on a Saturday around 10am but there was plenty of chairs under a covered patio to hang out.

Breakfast, lunch or brunch, this is a super busy and loud spot! You're likely in for a wait before being seated, however service is very fast and friendly. Menu has good variety, including kids meals. The food is tasty, portions are large, and the coffee is endless.

There were 4 in our party. We originally got seated by the door which was quite chilly. I did request for us to be moved. We went around lunch and the noise level was very high. It was hard to have a conversation. 2 of us had the Asian chicken salad and it was awesome. The other 2 had pancakes and they were great. Overall it's a great place to eat. Just don't go when it's busy if you want to have a conversation.

Butterfields is the place to go! Everything you order is fresh. The service is fast and people are nice. My favorite dish is the Eggs Benedict with Cornbeef. It will change your life! So delicious.

Fine breakfast and lunch with wide menu which includes Dutch Baby baked pancake. Super service. Good coffee and lots of it. Very popular especially on weekends: be prepared to wait. Perhaps a little noisy if you want to talk to friends or guests.

Best hearty breakfast in Scottsdale. Omelettes are phenomenal!!! Pancakes are fabulous, all food is cooked freshly and contain high quality ingredients. Coffee is always flowing by the efficient wait staff, never wait long for food, tables or service. Please, please go if you are in the vicinity. Portions are big!

Sunday morning wait was 45 minutes. They text you when your table is ready so you can go grab a cup of coffee or something. Food was great! Their hash browns are sliced, not shredded and are crispy on the bottom!

My kind of place. Serving breakfast and lunch all day long! It was 11:15 am when my wife and I arrived to a packed place. First thing I noticed was their instant-making orange juice machines, unequivocal sign that the juice is fresh and natural. The service was fast and the waitress very friendly.

Our favorite breakfast place in the valley. Omelettes are absolutely amazing and coffee comes with heavy cream, it's delicious! Big fluffy buttermilk pancakes and delicious looking hashbrowns. I eat the omelette and give each kid a pancake, they split the hashbrowns and it's plenty of food! They also love the hot chocolate!
