Sherlock Holmes

Loved this place!! The BBQ was the best I have had from a restaurant in awhile. The tip was nice and juicy with a hint of smoke flavor! I would definitely come back next time I'm in the mood for BBQ!

Christopher Bailey

Trendy spot. I like the decor. The flat iron steak was cooked extremely well. The horseradish mustard sauce was excellent. Enjoyed the main very much. Dessert was incredible - the date cake with a little bit of vanilla ice cream and caramel. Great place. Happy to come back.

Jay Mate

Reservations were hard to make and it was overrated. The experience and food was excellent. Food was great. People were perfect. Thank you. Make reservations easier.

Marc Young

Loved this place when it opened. Feel like it has become mundane. "Mixologists" no longer inviting and attentive. Bummed as this was one of the most impressive Phoenix establishments to offer custom specialty drinks with finesse when they opened.

Jolene Clay

Great food breakfast and lunch. Nice atmosphere and great service

NewNewYorker

Meh. Interesting cocktails. Food was a trainwreck. Staff was brusque.

Derek McMonagle

Burger was really good, but a little overpriced and menu is very scarce

Dan Estrella

Best fries I've ever had hands down. Thick fries that are crispy which is rare and amazingly seasoned. Highly recommend

Joanna O

Blue Hound is a good restaurant, with lots of interesting food options. We really enjoyed it there. The drinks were also quite good, and the bar seemed like it was a good destination as well. I would recommend the place. It's also pretty kid-friendly, at least in early dinner hours.

Diana Sharp

My absolute favorite restaurant. Homemade pasta is delicious.

Seare Ogbamicael

Outdoor sitting area is littered with roaches

blackdawn1100

Great food and great service.

Steve Rodriquez

Recently when visiting my girlfriend in Phoenix, I visited Blue Hound on Sunday morning. I ordered the Avo toast, my son ordered the Crispy Coconut French Toast and the lady ordered the Berry Chia Pudding (Not pictured). Everything was phenomenal. The service was great and friend. Everything was very fresh in my opinion. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Phoenix. It was extremely hard for the 3 of us to settle on which was the best bite. The pudding was so refreshing, the French toast was a knock out and the Avo toast was some of the best I’ve ever had. Go visit if you can.

Richard Quintana

Amazing food and service

terry alderson

Awesome food and service!

Clarisse Gardea

My meal was very good but my partner had chewy chicken which scared us because we thought it was undercooked. We checked with the phone flashlight and it seemed fine. She didn't get food poisoning thankfully.

gene C.

Delicious food and drinks... Great staff!

Staci Shares

1st time here & can't wait to come back! Came in for a good strong cocktail and some tasty shared food at the bar before going to City Skate last weekend. I'm so impressed with the Wiskey drinks and food at the Blue Hound. The Nutella aged Wiskey in their own barrel baby

Ken Amoako

Fantastic cocktails, excellent service and stellar food. This place never disappoints. If you are downtown and looking for a good place for drinks and food check Blue hound out.

Lisa Sanchez

Great food. Nice atmosphere. No complaints. I will definitely be coming back here!

Abegail Lastimonio

This restaurant is the best! The dishes they serve will 100% melt in your mouth. By the time you step inside the restaurant, you will be greeted by their welcoming waiters and staff.

Tim Barstow

Very good service, good food, pretty expensive for what you get.

Amanda Frederickson

Great food. Beautiful and cool vibe. Atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Furnishings really make the space what it is. Parking is easy in the garage that's half a block away, and don't forget to bring in your parking ticket because Blue Hound Kitchen will validate it and make it $4 total. Awesome. Valet is also available. Highly recommend the seared tuna salad, and the shishito peppers too. It's like roulette because you never quite know if a pepper in the bunch will be spicy or sweet. Cocktails are a not to miss opportunity. Stellar, creative and have local flair too. Great spot for business meetings, date night, or a night on the town with friends.

Desone Burns II

Upscale atmosphere and good service. Food options are not very diverse, and my BLT wasn't what I was expecting, but I wasn't disappointed.

David Shapiro

It was cool, food was good. But foursquare said moderately priced. It was not. It was pricey. $18 for a salad with chicken, $20 for a 5 shrimp cocktail. Again, quality food, just pricey. Nice server and fun atmosphere.

Brenda Singleton

Exceptional food and service. Added to our list of favorites in the Valley.

Travis Cameron

Went there for lunch. Food was good but the menu was somewhat limited.

Kris Kemnitzer

What a fantastic place to spend our one year wedding anniversary! This place was upscale but not over the top. Our waiter offered us the perfect amount of space and attentiveness. We didn’t even tell him it was our one year until the end of the meal as we did not want to expect anything. Our waiter was fantastic and brought us a glass of champagne each! Thank you for being a great way to spend our First Anniversary.

Truly Sielaff

Went to the winter pop up bar. Very overpriced ($15-$18 drinks) and staff was kinda grumpy for a Christmas themed event. Food menu was extremely limited and not good for sharing.

Mike Wurth

Fantastic food and excellent service

Jennifer Martinez

Very unfriendly bar staff planned on eating dinner but changed our mind after bar service

Daniel Swislow

Light lunch w a view. Sunchokes w/ aioli and Fresno peppers. Chopped salad (think OMFG salad from the Gladly), and Noble bread w/ zatar and babaganoush. Server was good, as was food. Might plan a dinner here soon..

Scott Foster

Slow service. Overpriced. Paid 60 bucks for mac and cheese, a salad and two beers. Waited for an hour for this small serving. It's hard to mess up such simple dishes and it wasnt even good. Never going back.

Samura Boppo

The drinks are a really good ans the server was wonderful. He took the time to answer our questions about the drinks and which are best. The drinks we had were great, made us feel great and the fries we ordered were delicious. The prices are a little bit steep but the atmosphere is very chill and quality of service is high. I would definitely go again in the future.

Danny Estavillo

Good patio, great old fashion, food can be hot or miss but service is always exceptional

John Doe

Great all around especially Friday's

nicole george

This is a neat bar with nice ambiance. Minus one star bc if I am paying 15 dollars for an old fashioned it should be delicious and not overly sweet.

J X

Hands down the Best food I had while in Phoenix for business. We sat outside right next to the skating rink with the Christmas tree lit up, quite a nice experience

Gearge Thomas

We had a great experience during visit! good service, quality food, fair price.

Sapphire O

Too expensive for what you get. I ordered the tacos of carne asada which were two bites each. I'm not a big eater but had to stop and get something to eat on the way home.

Chris Koenig

Terrible service, overpriced, food is mediocre at best... First of all, no one was at the front to seat us, we waited for almost 20 minutes looking at over half the tables being open and waiters and waitresses standing around talking to eachother and playing phag tag on thier cell phones before seating ourselves. Once we were seated we waited another ten minutes before the waitress who looked like a deer in the headlights told us that we had to get up, go back to the greeting counter, and wait to be seated. At this point we should have just walked out, unfortunately we were hungry enough to wait and give them a chance. The rest of the experience continues with equally unimpressive results... being reseated at a table in the middle of a noisy crowd, slow waitress who seemed like she had no interest in working or just couldn't stand working at this establishment. The desert was stale (a really terrible version of pineapple upside down cake) a total insult to pineapple. My $30 KC strip stake was equivalent to something I would expect from Shari's, our drinks were only filled once, and we had iced tea and coffee. If you are considering dining here, save yourself $150.00 and go anywhere else, you won't be disappointed.

oscar guerin

Great food and drinks. A bit pricey on the cocktails but otherwise a great experience

Sky dev

Been here twice now! They let us host my birthday with some decorations, were fine with us taking a bit to open presents, and wrote a birthday card. Pictured is the salmon which has to be my favorite salmon out of the other restaurants I've eatten at. It melts in your mouth, and the drink options are fun too. A great place for adult family, a nicer place out to eat, and food option for someone new to AZ.

JULIE CLIFTON

Food is just okay couldnt eat sausage was too spicy for me so just 2 eggs and the smallest hasbrown your spending alot for convenience of a hotel restaurant. Waitstaff was friendly

Jonathan Tobias

We were staying at the associated hotel and went down for dinner. They claimed they had no tables available and seated us in the bar area. The dining area had many empty tables throughout our meal. This was our second time there. The first time, the night before, we were seated at the worst possible table - one we were told that wine glasses were falling off of because of the music beat outside. Their stupid attitude basically makes eating at this restaurant pointless. Avoid.

Chris Norred

Best place to order an old fashioned. Though, I don't know about 3 small pieces of tuna and watermelon slices for $20. They might need to revisit that appetizer ripoff.

Bevin Coddington

Terrible bartender on duty tonight. Ruined my favorite BH drink...literally the sole reason my husband and I chose to go there.

Paula Serven

Great food service was pleasant and we had a reservation and were seated early on a Friday night

Angie Albers

The homemade pasta dish was amazing, hearty yet the perfect portion while still being able to share a few bites with my husband.

Ann Ceron

Be ready to drop coin on the drinks, but soak in the experience! Ultimate luxury, definitely a place to take someone to impress! Service was good, just had a personality clash with the waiter, which is whatever - otherwise a great time. Can't say I'll be back, but I'm glad I went.

Trina Wilkerson

The breakfast was excellent and great lunch menu

Ramon Goudeau

Food was great, excellent service.

H. Mob

Average tiny blend salmon, ok service, over priced food!

Georgina Darabonde

We had a great experience during our visit! Service was awesome and the food was super tasty.

millennial27

Had their pasta carbonara, which was uniquely delicious from any other carbonara I've had. Simple, easy to interpret menu. Some of it was a bit on the pricey side, but that's ok considering the beautiful, serene ambiance, delicious food and attentive server.

Blake Ericson

I was a bit let down with the food. Stayed at the Kimpton and heard nothing but good things about the restaurant. It may have just been an off day in the kitchen which is okay. I thought the tuna appetizer was really bland, it was almost odd with how little flavor there was. The entrees were okay, but definitely not my favorite during my stay in Phoenix. The space itself is nice and clean. The Christmas bar is very cool, but I think they should open it up to the restaurant somewhat. Completely segregating it seems like a potential loss in revenue for the restaurant and bar. Service was quick but wasn't too enthusiastic. Unfortunately, it just didn't live up to the hype for me.

Inglis Reynolds

I can't really fault anything about our dinner experience here in terms of the quality of the food and drink and service. There was mixed feedback about the price of many of the menu options (including the steaks, which come a la carte) being above average in cost, but at the same time,

danielle mihelich

Ate at Blue Hound tonight with some co- workers. Overall, all 7 of us were disappointed. First off let me say that the hostess and the bar back were kind. Besides those two- everyone else seem to be extremely unhappy to be working. The bartender with the long beard and the ponytail was extremely unfriendly. It is not that hard to smile and be nice to your guests. He was shaking his head it was obvious that he was poff at something. I ordered my $35 steak medium and it came well done. My coworker did not receive her food until after we had all finished ours. She had been watching it sit on the ready up in the kitchen while we all ate. They offered to make her a new one.A woman came over and took it off her bill but the lack of apology for her not receiving her food was shocking. Honestly that’s not what we were looking for, we wanted to see that they were apologetic for the slow service. I understand the concept of ordering at the bar. But to charge high end prices the concept doesn’t blend. If I’m paying $65 for one drink (one shot of whiskey) a steak and some brussels sprouts somebody better be checking up on my food and ensuring that my meal was prepared well. I couldn’t even express that my steak was over done because nobody gave me the opportunity to. I normally don’t get bad reviews I’m an advocate for supporting, but they have seven out of town or’s walk out of your restaurant extremely disappointed with the lack of service and quality of food for the prices we paid needed to be shared with management. Since we did not have a server I was forced to leave this review.

dojeen lee

Seems a little not worth. Food was fine, but a little short of expectations for that price point. I do not recommend the charcuterie board. 2 meats, 2 cheese, caper butter, and toast. Their "preserves" was mustard.

vernon randolph

Food and drinks were great and my out of town guest loved the atmosphere and service.

Kelly Mueller

Greatly chop salad

Anandha Krishnan

Yaaay.......glad that I was here Sreaching for a peaceful restaurant This is the best and the suitable one for ya......Most importantly Pet Friendly

Laverdy Wilde

Amazing cocktails, good ambiance, super comfy booths with pillows

Gummi Schwent

The last time we came here it became my boyfriend's favorite restaurant. So I was excited to bring him back for Valentine's day. It's changed quite a bit. The ambiance is still nice, minus the obnoxious Valley girls sitting next to us trying to enlighten each other on what men are thinking. I ordered the salmon and if it weren't for the salted crust and mushroom/leek compote it would have had no flavor at all. Seriously that was the flavor....salted TO DEATH. Boyfriend liked his spaghetti, however was disappointed that they no longer serve the pappardelle. This place is not cheap...$140 for two, and only one martini, so that's mostly for very marginal food. In my opinion you can do way better in Phoenix.

Yanni Gonzalez

Nice atmosphere, good food, good cocktails..

Lauren Schwartz

Waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. Food was amazing!

Kevin Delvalle

Visited Blue Hound Kitchen in May and had a lovely dinner, not disappointed in the least bit. The biggest problem actually was choosing my dishes because the entire menu looks so good! In the end, opted to share a Copped Salad and then the Ribeye for my entree - both absolutely brilliant. We ate two meals at the Blue Hound. Interesting and unusual choices for breakfast. So delicious you wanted to lick your plate! Our waitress, Britney was the best waitress we have ever encountered.

T Dixon

This hidden jewel serves amazing food! Had lunch there one day and brunch the next day. The food was top quality, created with precision from the beginning. We could taste each element of each dish. Perfect portion sizing and excellent service as well.

Eron Rosemond

This was a pricey restaurant for the portion size. Food was good in flavor and taste but not high end like I thought it would be. The bar drinks however were wonderful hand made cocktails. Takes a bit of time to get those drinks. My experience was a lunch time venue.

Mack Thomas

The food was good, a little fancier than my liking, but the service was good and friendly. If you are a more sophisticated eater I'd highly recommend it. It you are a traditional comfort food eater, like me, I'd suggest the shareable sides of macaroni and cheese or the potato puree, both were exceptional

John Mcgee

Very cool interior, nice drinks, will get the food soon

Antonio C

Food was great, drinks were good as well. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Kunjan Shah

Great cocktails, overpriced however. Coming from other big cities with a tremendous amount of cocktail culture, Blue Hound hits the spot when looking for a great cocktail bar, but certain elements are missing. The ambiance could be better, and the prices for a Downtown Phoenix bar are a tad bit steep.

Megan Frazier

Great food service was pleasant and we had a reservation and were seated early on a Monday night.

A Smith

Stayed at Kimpton Hotel Palomar during the holidays and really enjoyed Blue Hound for dinner and cocktails on the first night. It was beautifully decorated for the season and we were able to find a spot at the bar as we didn't have reservations. The cocktails were strong and tasty. I had the salmon, which was a bit overcooked but still had great flavor. My companion had the handmade pasta with shrimp. He said it was delicious! Bar service was a little slow but we chalked that up to the high volume of visitors. Overall, great time.

Kathryn Boris

Wonderful views, beautiful setting, meals that are on-point. The prices are higher than your average restaurant, but for the price the food is stellar! Easily compared to places that cost twice as much. Check out their extensive whisky selection!

Thomas Ruplinger

Just average. They try to be 4 star but not quite there. They servers is where they fail. Food was ok at best. Overpriced for sure. Much better options out there.

Carter Humphrey

Terrific place to dine before a concert downtown. The Osso Buco was the best, tender and falling off the bone. The sauce over it was absolutely divine. It was served with tasty roasted veggies. Make a reservation if you are going on a concert night and give yourself plenty of time. Service was efficient and friendly on a very crowded night. There is also outside seating and bar seating with food service. The desserts looked really good, but we were too full (speaks well for the size of the Osso Buco).

Jess Limon

As always, the Blue Hound and it's crew at the Palomar are fantastic. I took my lovely girlfriend and best friend in for Thanksgiving Dinner, and we had the most lovely time. We are in the middle of a move and have been so stressed all week! Having a wonderful meal along with the most amazing cocktails prepared for us, really made our Holiday perfect. Thank you, to all of you for working and taking care of us, the ones without Traditional Family Thanksgiving plans.

Mark Yambor

If you are in Phoenix and are looking for a great dinner spot right downtown then this place should be on your list. It is located in the CityScape area which is right near Talking Stick Arena so it is a very nice and safe area to walk around. If you park in the CItyScape garage the restaurant will validate your parking for up to 2 hours. The restaurant has a very modern yet industrial atmosphere which I loved but it has high ceilings with plenty of windows to allow in a lot of natural light. On to the food, the menu is very simple but fantastic. I ordered a steak with their crispy potatoes which were ridiculously good! The service was very good and friendly always making sure I had everything that I needed. I would certainly go hear again and this is definitely a spot I would bring out of town guests.

Robert Noguchi

Thoroughly enjoyed on recent visit (March) to Phoenix area.

Sam Mossey

Great atmosphere and nice decor. Food was middle of the road with great service in downtown Phoenix which is always a little snoozy...still.

Slush

The whole menu is Over priced, small portions, food was decent but the house made pasta tasted like it came from a cardboard box. Very upset considering it was $21 for a small plate with no garlic bread and way to much oil that Engulfed my plate Great old fashions and cocktails . We had a larger party and the auto gratuity was 24%. Service was good. Over all I wouldn’t recommend for the price. There are a lot better restaurants down town. I won’t be going back. Cheers Joe

john malone

The bar tenders were outstanding. The service was almost too fast. The Brussels, shrimp, and flat iron steak were to die for! Awesome food!

Dan Medina

Where do I begin? This place is phenomenal! The atmosphere is classy, the food is fantastic, and I imagine the drinks are great, as well. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was, by far, the best thing I've ever had. Not to mention, Shawn "The Matrix" Marion was there that night. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

John Leech

This is a really interesting place, with great food and unique cocktails. Our favourite restaurant in our favourite hotel.

Isaac Mullin

Hosted an event here for work, and they were easy to work with. The appetizers were delicious, and the staff were attentive and accommodating. They’ve also got a cute, intimate patio. Beyond that, their drinks were delicious; they have a full bar, and they were able to make drinks other nearby bars could not.

Janis Rich

Couldn't resist after looking at amazing pictures! Everything was delicious!

Nichole Wade

Good food, fast service

Todd M

Great Christmas dinner once again. The turkey and dumplings was great and I hope they do it again next year. We have been back here for 3 years in a row now for the holiday meal and have enjoyed it each year. Great location downtown in cityskape.

Andy Potanin

Dropped in here after my first day in Phoenix right before the kitchen closed. The food was top notch. But, the bartenders are world-class. They made great recommendations on local beers and were putting together seemingly amazing cocktails for people around me. Really solid place.

Lauren Cercone

Rude staff. Overpriced.

Satoshi Heavy

Great food ! Good atmosphere, pretty sweet view! Only downfall is drinks are a bit pricey but they are to die for.

Eileen Halladay

Delightful meal great cocktails. Sofie is so nice. Thank you

Adam Lambert

Stellar cocktails with a carefully curated—and well executed—menu. I enjoyed both lunch and dinner here during my time in Phoenix, and Derek delivered top-notch service at the bar. I highly recommend this spot for a low-key celebration, a romantic evening out (they have booths that can be reserved), or simply a quality spot to grab dinner if you're staying nearby. While they're slightly pricey (what with being located in the same building as a hotel) I can't imagine anyone leaving disappointed at having paid an extra $5 per plate. Even with one steak on the menu, it was seared to perfection, and other nearby patrons all opted for dessert. If there's anything to complain about at this establishment, it's the perpetually working patrons on their laptops at the bar. But hey, any cocktail spot worth its salt has an overtly-scented loudmouth at the elbow of the bar. Don't let him deter you from getting a good meal or enjoying a mixed drink. Blue Hound is most certainly a gem among the downtown options.

Greg Thomsen

Was visiting from out of town and didn't have a reservation but they got us seated quickly for a Friday night. They have a good beer selection and great cocktails. Food was excellent as was the service. Had the shrimp and grits and needed a spoon so as not to waste the delicious sauce! Definitely somewhere to check out whether visiting or a local.

Jenny Reitmeier

Food and drinks were damn good.

Jennifer Seybert

Drinks on the rooftop bar, super tasty! Inside the bar is very cool, looking forward to our next stay there.

Kaye McComas

Awesome food, great atmosphere! Roasted chicken was amazing, as was the side of mushrooms! Clever and tasty cocktails! The Chocolate Bar for dessert did not disappoint!!

Mark MacLachlan

Nice decor and courtiess staff. Very limited starters menu.

Sarah Mitchell

The turkey burger and salad is good. They use a jalapeño bun that’s very tasty. My friend got a burger and fries that was nice as well. We were seated and greeted by our waitress quickly. The food came out in a decent time, it’s obviously cooked fresh. Unfortunately it was too early to try their cocktails because they look interesting. Will definitely go back.

Susan Bugelli

Great food. Enjoyed breakfast. The Pork Hash. Nightime cocktails in the bar. The cocktail menu and liquor selection were impressive.

Weisz Gellért

Great food, cocktails and service

della arthur

I had a great time last night spending my dinner and some drinks with my friends. The place is so nice to chill with your friends and family as they have a huge variety of foods from pork, chicken, seafood, and salads they all tastes really good. Also, I must mention the professionalism of their staff they really had this great attitude towards their customers.

Laurie and Kevin Rogerson

Friendly staff and great bar selection. Try the street fries!

Kim Richards

Terrific place to dine before a concert downtown. The Osso Buco was the best, tender and falling off the bone. The sauce over it was absolutely divine. It was served with tasty roasted veggies. Make a reservation if you are going on a concert night and give yourself plenty of time. Service was efficient and friendly on a very crowded night. There is also outside seating and bar seating with food service. The desserts looked really good, but we were too full (speaks well for the size of the Osso Buco).

Grant Dalen

Really disappointed after the recent menu change. The steaks added to the menu are welcome and long overdue; however, so many really great things were eliminated. A delicious pappardelle is gone, replaced with spaghetti. The bar snacks are completely gone. A great burger, spicy wings, fantastic chicken bites, and one of the best mac & cheeses in Phoenix are all gone (there is a mac & cheese side on the new menu but it’s very small and not near as good as the original). There are now very few solid smaller plate items to go with that great cocktail. Maybe BH was trying to class up the menu, but that’s misguided because even a five-star steakhouse may have a burger. The bar is a huge part of Blue Hound. It draws significant patronage, possibly even the majority, but that point seems to have been carelessly disregarded in creating the new menu.

Chad Valentine

We had their burger here and I must say it was one of the best that I have ever had. They have a nice relaxed atmosphere almost what you would find in a steak house. Nice place for a romantic dinner.

Kay Boyer

Excellent food and service!

Jennifer Bell

Best place to order an old fashioned. Though, I don't know about 3 small pieces of tuna and watermelon slices for $20. They might need to revisit that appetizer ripoff.

Veronica Rodriguez

First time here. The environment is so relaxing. The location is perfect and the view is breathtaking. Its located on the second floor in the CityScape in Downtown, we love downtown Phoenix. As we walked in we were greeted and walked to our table. The staff was friendly. The bar is beautiful. The food was delicious, We enjoyed our visit here. Will definitely come back again.

Brianna Thorpe

I'd like to leave a positive review based on the food, which was great the one time I've actually been able to eat here. But the customer service is absolutely horrendous. I have been here three times and only served one of those times. And my group was still treated rudely that one time. The first time, I went here with my bosses and it took forever to be acknowledged by the hostess, who was then snarky and short with us. It seemed like she didn't even want to give us a table despite us having a reservation. When I tried to eat here with my boyfriend the hostess didn't even acknowledge us despite us trying to get her attention. We stood there for twenty minutes, waiting to even be acknowledged, and eventually just gave up and went somewhere else. The third and final time I attempted to eat here I was with my grandmother. The hostess was even rude to her! Who the hell is rude to some little old lady? It again took us forever to be acknowledged. We were then ignored for about ten minutes. Another group came in after us and were immediately greeted. When a table was available the hostess ignored us and offered to seat the second group. The second group had to remind the hostess that we had arrived first. At that point, we didn't even want to eat here anymore and left. Your food is great but your customer service is the most horrible I've ever encountered in a restaurant. You act like you're too good for the dirty peasants who dare step foot in your fine establishment. I don't know what it would take to even be deemed worthy of being acknowledged by your hostess. I don't understand all the good reviews. This place is extremely snooty, and since you obviously don't think I'm worthy of eating here I'll do you a favor and take my business elsewhere.

Kristen M Rees

It was good food and the ambiance was nice, but the food wasn't the best ever and I felt like it was overpriced for what it was. The main entree was great, really yummy, beautiful steak. The appetizer was not to my liking, but could be something others liked, it just wasn't a flavor profile I enjoyed. The desserts ( I tried two ordered at my table) were interesting. I liked components of both. The chocolate bar was my favorite.

Doug Chisholm

Great spot to pre and post game concerts and Suns games. Great Kimpton flair.

Jim Vorves

Adam, aka Warren, was fantastic! The food, incredible!

Barbara Green

Love staying in the Palomar Hotel during Merc bball season...my go to place is the Blue Hound ( conveniently located in the hotel) fav beer is brewed locally(Hound on draft)! Tastes BETTER than BM with

Tina Tschida

Good food and wine with a nice atmosphere. The artisan meat and cheese board was delicious.

jon sullivan

Great food great service 5star all the way

GP Wise

Location is great. Drinks are creative. Decor is nice. Service today at the bar 3pm-5pm 9/5/2018 was horrible. Not sure what my group did but we were constantly overlooked and left dry. Attitude, slow service, no flatware or napkins for food we ordered. Really poor today.

Morgan Mills

That face you make when you order your steak medium rare and it comes out perfectly medium rare

Cathy Frank

Small intimate bar but LOTS of alcohol options available. Our table ordered the focaccia appetizer and everyone said it was really good. I didnt try (I dont eat bread)it so I cant honestly rate it...but it looked tasty and my hubby loved it.

Kelly Hopson

This can be found at the beautiful CityScape here in downtown Phoenix! What a great breakfast place, the many different flavored Mimosas were fantastic, food was so great, but the service is the BEST!!!! LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Salih A. Watts

It was amazing. Great drinks and food, also particularly great service. thanks

Rafael C

Upscale, good portions and food tasted good. Nothing specific that I would call out to except the bill. Would be a nice place for a date but otherwise, I would try something else. Overall, a good spot for a upscale meal.

Claire La Shomb

OMG friendly professional and knowledgeable service. Great views and the food wow everything is fantastic. I've been here a few times, favorite shrimp and grits! Crafted cocktails, perfect.

Phillip Leroy

This place has been on my list of places to try. I must say, the did not disappoint. Great food, great service and definitely worth visiting again. Enjoyed lunch and next visit will be dinner.

John Rogala

Great food, great service and the entire staff was very friendly. The steaks were cooked to perfection.

Wildlifer O.

We were staying at the Kimpton, where this restaurant is located. But this is not your average hotel restaurant. Food was incredible and delicious, inventive and fresh. Cocktails were superb...great old fashion and good selection of different gins. Cozy and warm atmosphere and friendly service.

Rusty Vicinie

The food was tasty and well prepared. However I ordered a salad along with my meal. The salad and the meal were delivered at the same time which meant my meal was almost cold by the time I finished my salad. For a restaurant that presents itself as more upscale it certainly didn't seem to work that way.

Kelli Bullock

Soo good!! Have been several times for both breakfast and dinner. Dinner was as expected, expensive but breakfast was really reasonable. Everything I've had so far was so good and the staff is very friendly, will be back for sure.

Albert Steele

The service is great as is the food and ambiance.

Sheila Berkowitz

Love the food and vibe of this place.

K S

So fun for Christmas! Kinda small space inside but really cozy.

Amanda Marbut

I am one of those people that does not know what to order at a bar and will spend forever looking at the drink menu asking questions. However, the bartender was so nice and helped pick the drink that fit my sweet taste. They have ice that is made out of watermelon that makes your drink sweater as it melts!!! If you are at the bar, it is so cool just to see how talented the bartenders are! The moose bar is worth trying while you are there and is covered in cookie crumbles that are to die for!

Male staff members from this restaurant were outside and harassed my colleagues and I while we walked past. I'm sure the food is great, but I wouldn't eat here based on this experience. This behavior is not acceptable.

Food is great but I wish there were more than 7 options on the dinner menu. The "Old Fashion" may be the best in town.

Charlie Mansfield

a great service, plus the food is delicious, I recommend you to order ... whatever it is because everything is delicious.

Ethan Duncan

amazing food and service

Terrific place to dine before a concert downtown. The Osso Buco was the best, tender and falling off the bone. The sauce over it was absolutely divine. It was served with tasty roasted veggies. Make a reservation if you are going on a concert night and give yourself plenty of time. Service was efficient and friendly on a very crowded night. There is also outside seating and bar seating with food service. The desserts looked really good, but we were too full (speaks well for the size of the Osso Buco).

M

Amazing small plates. The cocktails were surprisingly the worst part of the meal

Brian Mckenna

Appetizers were spot on, one of the best old fashions ever, and not sure how they got that sear on the salmon while keeping it the perfect temperature. HIGHLY recommend!

RJ McBean

One of my favorite bars to get an old fashioned at. They are always friendly and have a great selection of cocktails. The food is great here and really makes for a good date night with the views of downtown

David Carson

Way, way, way too noisy. Pricey. Waiter had limited knowledge of the menu. No bang for the buck for me.

Sam Alvarado

Great food and service.

We had a great experience during our visit! Service was awesome and the food was super tasty. I had the Tuna Crudo and Faroe Island Salmon - both were very unique dishes and had great flavor! Definitely try one of their craft cocktails as well!

The Citrus cured roasted beet toast was AH-MAZING!!!! I stopped here on my way to the airport and I'm ever so glad that I did! The water had a weird taste but it was tap so there shouldn't have been an expectation there.

Went for Thanksgiving dinner and the food was amazing! Turkey and accoutrements were delicious, and the pumpkin pie was the best I've ever had.

First of all we traveled all the way downtown to celebrate my birthday, I had been craving the signature dish "Shrimp and Grits" only to find out it was no longer on the menu for the season. I was heartbroken. The rest of the night was just ok. It was an expensive night ($175) and I feel like I was stuck. Very frustrating.

Tom Harner

Food is really good. Specialty drink is good. Some might call the place "pricey" but you can split most items.

We went here for a celebration dinner! We had reservations so of course we didn't have to wait. The food and service were absolutely excellent. We had never been here previously but we do plan on coming back. Don't skip out on dessert, either. Everyone at our table got something different and it was all so good.

We were a party of 7. We waited a long time for everything - ordering, getting the drinks, getting the food, ordering the check and paying. They added automatically a 20% charge for service, but it was bad (one might say non-existance). The food is pricey, the dishes are small and had too much salt in them, and the desserts were not good (to say the least). The only good thing were their cocktails.

Very poor experience at Blue Hound Kitchen. My husband and I were meeting friends for a 7 pm dinner reservation, but we decided to head to the restaurant early to spend time together and have a cocktail or two. Immediately we were greeted, the hostess asked if we wanted to be seated at our table early or if we would prefer to sit at the bar. We decided to sit at our table as there was not much room at the bar. The hostess said we were fine to be sat at our table even though we were 45 minutes early. Right away we were greeted by the server. We immediately indicated to the server that we were very early for our reservations and that the rest of the party would arrive at 7pm as scheduled; we just wanted a couple of drinks. He said, "no problem." We immediately had a look at the "new" cocktail menu, per suggestion of the manager. She immediately ran to our table to discuss the food & drink menu and was eager for us to try a cocktail from their menu which was rolled out the day before. I really liked the overall uniqueness of the flavors of cocktails, but was immediately taken aback by the price of their cocktails and the lack of range of liquor. The average price for a cocktail was $16 and mostly consisted of tequila or gin. I looked for alternatives, but even the wine was super expensive! My husband decided to go with a cocktail, but indicated the type of cocktail he would like, the manager suggested a cocktail based on the info he had given her, we ordered the drink, and it was nothing like what my husband asked for. We nicely let the server know it wasn't his taste. The server never offered to comp the drink, nor did the manager. I told my husband I would just drink it. My husband then ordered a lager. During our time before our guests arrived, the manager kept approaching us to suggest drinks, apps, and food. At first, this was nice, but whenever I looked at something on the menu and pointed it out to my husband, the manager would immediately run up to let us know about it. After about 20 minutes, the manager approached us, but this time was asking where the rest of our party was. She went on to explain that the restaurant gets very busy between 7 pm and 7:30 pm and she wouldn't want us waiting a long time for our food because our guests were late... My husband and I were completely puzzled. I let her know that our reservation was made by friends of ours for 7 pm and we came in to have a drink prior to, that we were early and our guests would arrive at the designated time. The manager said, "oh, that makes sense." Right after she walked away, I had a look at my watch then the restaurant. My watch read 6:40 pm and the restaurant was not full. We had several empty tables around us. First, why would you be so rude to patrons? Why did she not speak with the hostess or the server to get the 411 before rudely approaching us with some blanketed lame reason? Why did the server not communicate this to the manager? Is that why she was hovering over us the entire first 40 minutes we were there?! So ridiculous! She made us feel so super unwelcome in an instant. The manager never approached to back track or apologize. She never approached us again. As the evening went on, and as our guests arrived, we felt more and more rushed and less and less attended to. We were merely trying to enjoy a nice evening with friends, and the times we were actually approached by the server, we felt rushed. My friend, a bar manager, and myself, a past server for many years, and a manager, we could not believe what was happening here. The food was sub par, the portions very small, the overall taste of the food okay, the price of the drinks, food & apps, way too expensive! The quality vs price did not correlate. We spent $700 at the restaurant and it was not even worth it. We did not feel welcome. We felt rushed. We did not enjoy the food. All we could do was shake our heads in disappointment and laugh it off. Needless to say, we will never be eating at this establishment again.

Pricey but amazing food and cocktails.

Emre Can

The food named carpaccio is a disaster but the steak and mac&cheese are good,

Allen Bauer

15 minutes before end of breakfast lobby was empty and I had to look for a server and $14.00 per beer is a bit ridiculous

Dan B

Pricey, but the food was great and the service was phenomenal

Patrick Williams

Brunch was great, reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly and attentive.
