A great place for breakfast. Their pancakes, waffles, and French toast taste amazing! Their orange juice is freshly squeezed, and I highly recommend ordering this. The prices are quite fair for such large portions. They also have tasty pies, by the cash register, in all kinds of flavors!!

This place will ruin any other breakfast place for you. Hands down best gravy ever. Food was so good you can't stop eating it even though you feel like you might burst. The environment was quaint and filled with bears obviously which is cute for the little ones. Waitress was friendly and helpful and overall I was extremely pleased with my entire experience. Next time I'm trying some pie!!

If you are a big eater, this is the place for you. They NEVER skimp on their portions, and the food is always great. Breakfast, lunch, dinner or just ordering dessert you won't be disappointed. A cabin like atmosphere with a diner flair. A must if you're lucky enough to have one near you.

Black bear is an amazing place for breakfast if you want to go on a weekend be there before 8 or expect to wait for at least 20 minutes if it's your first time at the restaurant I suggest half orders plates are huge

Ate there yesterday dry busy but waitress took good. Care of our table .however I was disappointed in my dinner it was the runniest blue cheese salad dressing I have ever seen and the chicken fried steak was a disappointment. The mashed potatoes were ok and I liked the cornbread .

The girl who seated us was very grumpy because we asked her to sit in the back since we have kids with us. We ordered salmon and burger with fries. Fries were dried and old. Salmon and burger with no taste at all. Chocolate chip pancake Was very good the kids loved it. Our waitress was nice. Sad to say we will not be eating here anymore since the food wasn't good at all. This was around 1:30 in the afternoon.

We have gone to this place as a family for several years now. We have tried everything from their breakfasts to their dinners and everything is always very flavorful and great value. Love their skillets and the portions here are huge. The wait staff is very nice and very quick we always have our coffee topped off and water and drinks refilled and always checked to make sure we're okay. Black Bear Cafe is definitely recommended!

The homemade cornbread croutons made the salad! My husband had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and zucchini which he said was almost as good as mine

Went to breakfast with some friends for my birthday, it was packed and the waitress was stressed she was very rude taking our drink orders it was 3 of us and only took 2 of our drink orders and walked away when we told her she forgot to take my friends drink order she rolled her eyes and walked away, another waitress dropped a mug and it shattered into pieces a small but sharp piece hit me right below my right eye, my friend told the waitress and she told the manager, the manager came to our table and asked if I was ok I told him yes and he said good and walked away. Bringing our food the waitress dropped my potatoes. Taking our plates she dropped a piece of biscuit in my coffee and didn’t say anything or bring me another coffee. It is safe to say I will never go back again.

We were seated quickly, however service itself was slow. We ordered very different items ranging from soup to mac n cheese to the chicken fried steak. The water taste filtered which is a big win. The food was cooked to order like they say and the portions even on the lighter side are still enough to take home. 4 people ate for 70 which isn't bad for our family. We were seated for a much longer time than anticipated. Overall not a bad experience, would we go again? Probably so if suggested.

Black bear used to have a really nice Friday night all-you-can-eat fish fry. Tonight the fish was overcooked very dark and dry! Best thing on my plate was my green beans! And for this I paid with tip $18 not going back!

Cute very themed restaurant. Their menu looks like a newspaper and I thought this was adorable. Went for breakfast. Was not disappointed. Will be back. I got the scramble bowl which is pretty much all breakfast meats with potatoes and eggs topped with gravy. It came with a mile high biscuit that was warm and yummy. The other dish is an omelette, which was filled and delicious.

I didn't want hotel breakfast cause I wanted something real. I should have stayed with free food instead. My food was horrible and people told me to avoid this place from work. But went against them. Corn beef has was definitely not what it was supposed to be in a sense. It was a chunk of corn beef with maybe 5 pieces of potatoes. That's it. I order non-crispy bacon and guess that implied to cook my whole meal barely light. Arnold Palmer was disgusting. Glad they couldn't mess up tap water and eggs. Never be back to this restaurant.

Terrible service! After being seated, we only saw the waitress twice, being seated and to bring the check. I had to get my own coffee refills and even then the manager joked about it. Never asked if there was anything else wanted. I'll be sure to let my friends know how disappointed we were and don't plan on returning!

I have been here three times in the span of a couple month. Considering I'm new to the area and am trying out new things THAT is a compliment! Their food is always on point. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal here. I am a huge breakfast food fan and their bacon is thick and so full of flavor. I love french toast and theirs isn't bland like a lot of other places. I truly think this is my favorite breakfast restaurant!

Warm milk to drink, soggy floppy onion rings, old French fries. Not busy, but took a long time for service. Ordered two sides, waitress forgot to put the order in for them. My mother and I went for Mother's Day brunch. I would give 4 stars but since our first impression was flat out bad and we had to request a new server I will do 3 stars but on a good note after speaking with Larry and getting an awesome server our experience improved and oh what a treat. This place is always packed, but the food is worth the wait. Waiting for seats and food is always a wait so be patient. Food is has a homemade taste to it. Fresh squeezed orange juice is amazing. Super cute place! It has a rustic cabin feel here and their menus look like cute newspapers! Came here for brunch on a Saturday morning and boy was it packed. They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait. Super great brunch menu and affordable mimosas! I got the bear claw French toast and I was so happy with it! Be warned that it is sweet though! Can't wait to try this place again when I'm back in town.

Other than the employees being a little on the rude side (nothing too bad though) I love this place & highly recommend it! I had the chicken tenders w/ fries meal along with a chocolate shake, & let me tell you those chicken tenders were probably the BEST I've ever had iml! My 2 family members had the fish & fries meal & that was super good as well. You better arrive here hungry because they serve you a butt-load of food on your plate! Definitely plan on going here again & ordering something else off of their menu

We went a little late at night about 8:30. Our waitress was a little forgetful she never put in our order of onion rings, and she asked me if I wanted pickles in my salad. The taco salad doesn't come with pickles, I told her twice no jalapeno, not pickles. The salad was good but it was loaded with big chunks of onions and loads of olives. I like onions and olives but my word, I could have made a tapenade of it.

I stopped for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. I recommend substituting the fries with mac and cheese (a nice change from the ususal). Good food, the prices are a little high, and the selection not the greatest (no honey mustard for the chicken tenders, and tomato was the only soup available) but still a nice meal.

Our party of five ate here on a Friday night. The wait was only 15 minutes for a table. Three of us had a cup of clam chowder, which was good. Four of us ordered the all you can eat fish fry. It came with hush puppies, fries and coleslaw. The fries were good. The hush puppies and fish were over cooked. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and kept the drinks refilled. Even with great service, the food just wasn't worth it.

Slow and I mean slow like we had to wait and wait to refill our drinks after pointing out our tables drinks were empty. Food sub par too. Best part was it wasnt cold. Fries need to be fully fried, corned beef hash needs flavor beginning with salt and the biscuits and gravy could use enough gravy. Awful and we wont be back.

I was not pleased with the service. We are not from Arizona and were traveling through. It was a group of 14 of us and after waiting 45 minutes in the heat outside with 6 children, we asked to be split up to sit seperately and we were told we had to wait as other groups of 2 - 4 who came in after us had to be seated first. The hostesses were not too helpful and we continued to wait, until they finally were able to get another table. The food was good. Our waitress was a nice woman. If a manager was on duty they never came to see how our service was going. My suggestion for large groups, making a reservation should be allowed.

This is one of the best places to get breakfast. The prices are extremely reasonable, service fantastic, and the portions are very generous. The parking lot is way too small, so that can be a problem when they are busy in the mornings. You'll end up circling and racing for parking spots. Well worth it for the food and service though!
