Visiting Tucson from Phoenix. Heard a lot of good things about this place so decided to try it out. I must say I was not impressed. The food was bland, overpriced, everything lacked flavor. One good thing was the salsa bar but they charge over 2 bucks for a side of chips! Probably won't be going back and definitely won't be recommending this place to any fam/friends.

If you love Carne Asada Tacos and Sonoran Hotdogs then BK's is a must stop for everyone! The 12th Ave location is located just south of Irvington Rd. It's been years since I visited BK'S and they still haven't failed me. I had the Carne Asada Tacos and Chicken Caramelo on Tortilla de Arina (flour tortilla). I then went to the condiment bar to get all the fixings. Their Salsas and Guacamole are the "Bomb"! After adding my fixings to the Taquitos it became a match made in heaven. The restaurant was clean, the service was good and the music created a fun atmosphere. All you "foodies" need to visit today! Recommend :))

I used to like enjoying coming here but not anymore their food dont taste the same and I ordered a caldo de queso and its literally had 1 piece of cheese and the rest was potatoes . Like hello I thought I ordered cheese soup not potato soup. Overall pricey and not good quality

This review is only for their Southside location on 12th Avenue. What a pleasure to visit a restaurant where you can expect great Mexican food served with a cheerful smile. The service at this location is exemplary. The restaurant is well taken care of and delightfully clean. On this visit we ordered 1) Sonoran dog 1) chicken taco. 1) taco asada. The Sonoran dog was fantastic. Cooked and dressed perfectly. The tacos were both hot, fresh, flavorful and delicious. They have a wonderful free salsa bar that has a wide selection of salsas and a quality guacamole. BK is one of Tucsons hidden treasures and a wonderful restaurant to relax for a minute and enjoy great Mexican fare.

I absolutely was not disappointed, this place was amazing delicious authentic Mexican food tucked away in a cozy Corner Restaurant. So the food was out of this world good... but my husbands wallet got left behind somehow on the table... and they put it in the back for us. When we went back for the wallet 20 min later, every dollar wasn’t still there. What nice people. Sit with the sweet girl with short blonde curly hair and pretty dimples.... and tip her good. I have been to 2 BK locations. This is my favorite. They have great customer service. All the employees are friendly and helpful. The have 2 enclosed seating areas and both areas have their own salsa bar. The salsa bars are well stock and the salsas and garnish are fresh. The food is delicious. One of the best hot dogs places I have tried in Tucson.

From out of town and previously visited,so had to come by. David took our order, very friendly, place was clean. Ordered #5 two Sonora hot dogs and #6 carne asada burro, two a la carte carne asada tacos plus the toritos. No complaints on food it was delicious! Was dissapointing to have the wait staff go to every table around us to ask about drink refills and or remove the baskets that your food comes on from the tables. I had to put our baskets clearly to the side of the table, and took them three times around us to finally pick up, we ended up going to the order window for our own refills. Maybe they noticed we were not locals (?) IDK but that was the only bummer part.

I used to come here for one of the best sonoran dogs in town. I've returned after years and sadly was highly disappointed. Stick to a cart around the area if your looking for a sonoran dog to hit that spot. But will still give 4 stars because if your looking for some tasty tacos, a quick caramelo, or one daaaaam tasty bowl of tortilla soup then you found one of Tucson's many reputable hot spots.

My husband has recently had his leg amputated and has not left the house for a whole because now he's in a wheelchair and he's just getting used to being handicapped and so we haven't gone out in a long time and when we had the opportunity to go out to get something to eat we ended up at BK because I really like the large carne asada burritos and I have to say we had the most excellent time and my husband enjoyed the atmosphere and being out and it was wheelchair accessible. We also met another couple sitting across from us and the gentleman was amputated above the knee and had a prosthetic that was one of those blade Prosthetics which is really cool and my husband was able to talk to him he invited him to come check out wheelchair basketball and they meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays and told him it's good for him to get out of the house and get some exercise, so I have to say it was really well spent evening and the food and service was great

This isn't a dirt cheap Mexican eatery, but the food prices aren't ridiculous either. What you do get for your average buck is real good food that comes out quite fast, married with excellent service. I try to visit here every other week or so for lunch and ould highly recommend it. It's authentic Tucson!

Stuck in Tucson, AZ while our truck is being fixed. There's like 100 Mexican food restaurants near our hotel. So happy I ran across bk tacos via google. The carne asada tacos were good, but the pork tacos were a winner! They were delicious and smokey flavored. Visit the salsa bar! I loved adding the onion & cabbage mixture to all of my tacos. Red salsa was spicy and good. Service was decent, but we ordered our food to go. If I get a chance I will definitely visit again.

Not happy with the service today. I understand it was busy but I only get 30 minutes for a lunch break. I called well ahead before I arrived and they hadn't even put the order in yet. It took me more than 30 minutes to get the food that should of been already prepared. Still love Bks. But that would piss anyone off

I remember the first time I went the food was good and the service was kinda slow. This time around the food was still good, but the service was excellent. My grandma has Alzheimer's and she forgot that she wanted beans in her caramelo and when I took it back for them to add the beans, the girl who I went to was very courteous, accommodating, and didn't charge us since it was our fault the order was wrong. My grandma hates going out to eat because she forgets things and she told us that she wants to go back to eat there soon. Thank you BK's for being understanding and treating my grandma with respect.

This place definitely earned all of their good reviews. Walking in the first thing you notice is how clean it is in comparison to pretty much any other place I've been in Tuscon that has great food. Even after reading how good the hot dogs were, I was still pleasantly surprised. I've been smiling for the last 2 hours.... I opted for the Sonoran dogs. I figured you can't go wrong with a bacon wrapped hot dog. I was wrong. There was a lot more bun than dog. It took two bites before I saw the dog. I suppose they use a big bun for all the condiments they put on top, but I wanted to taste hot dog & bacon! Next time I'll try the carne asada tacos. Yes, there will be a next time.
