Food was really good. Service was excellent. As anywhere else in Alaska the food is higher than in the States. Be prepared to pay at least double your food bill if you plan to visit this beautiful state.

Quality of the foods was not good, attendants were rude and had a bad manner to answer to you and I did not like tbe decor( it was like a coffehouse from 80's and at the end, the prices compare to quality and quantity was so high I ordered Alaskan cod fish and chips. Fiah was frozen and very moist and no taste at all and instead of chips, I had potato wedges!! Every time I wanted a refill or order a new food, I had to wait min 10 min for server to come to my table. My wife ordered soup (it was curry instead of soup), it was so hot and spicy. And they charged us 4 dollars for a small cup of white rice.

Every time I come to Zach's i am greeted by a friendly staff whom always takes my order promptly without even having to write it down. The wait staff here is absolutely phenomenal. I have two favorites here: the Taquitos and the Nachos are both amazing. I usually go at night and eat in the lounge which has both of those on the menu. The day menu may not have them for the normal restaurant. Delightful dining for a reasonable price!

Very good steak. The mashed potatoes were also excellent. I only dont give 5 stars because it was a very loud room and I had to strain to hear the person I was eating with talk. Otherwise a great experience.

I had the best chicken carbonara I've ever had other people in my group both had fish and chips. Great food. A little expensive, but you're in Alaska, everything will be expensive. Great atmosphere as well.

For the manager. Were disappointed in your Restaraunt. You’re food is overpriced for quality. Taquitos are okay and fish has almost more batter than fish. The biggest disappointment was your $35 ribeye. Blan and honestly did not have the texture or taste of a proper cut. On the positive side your servers were attentive and quick. We had no problem paying the tip they deserved, just not the price you charge for mediocre food.

I attend a monthly meeting here and am always pleased with their service. Even with only a couple servers handling 25+ people the food is fast. They also are good to accommodate vegetarians.

Just a normal hotel restaurant. Had breakfast there and the food was fine - various eggs, benedicts, huevos rancheros, steak and eggs, pancakes, etc. There was no one else in the restaurant and service was pretty slow, but very nice. Stop by if there's nowhere else you really want to go.

The worst service I've had in a long time. It took 40 minutes for someone to take our order, then they didnt bother taking drink order. After all this food ( sandwiches) took another 30 minutes. Several patrons got fed up and walked out

Friendly staff serving great food, whether you are hungry for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Nice and cozy atmosphere and a little above the standard for this town. Food is higher end with good portions and some if not the best cuisine in town. Chefs are experienced and consistently serve outstanding entrees, appetizers and desserts. Full bar with bartenders who know the proper way to make your drink of choice. Attentive wait staff strike the balance of being around just as you need something without hovering over you while you eat. With an establishment that hits all of these points, it stands to reason that this is a fairly expensive place to dine out for dinner. It is worth every penny.

Wow...This place was a horrible dining disaster. The food was good- which gave it the 2nd star- but that's the only good thing I can say about the place. Service was absolutely horrible with a vastly understaffed crew. The two women working the bar were both angry and crotchety people and would be better in a back office vs a customer facing position. The two guys were trying their best but could not keep up with the crowds (I watched 11 parties leave as there were no other tables). Meanwhile we waited endlessly for service and later some food...During the meal noone checked back or refilled water.They just rushed by us..We skipped the desert we may have had as we didn't want the wait.. Had to scream out for someone to come over and clear our plates and bring us a check..(after having waited 15-20 minutes as servers rushed by us ignoring us)..She said she would bring us the check but never did..Had to then yell out another time to a second person and gave him my card before checking the bill knowing it would be another long wait if I had not. (Thankfully the bill was correct)..This is an establishment where customer service is non existent and horrid and the hotel loses revenue due to skipped menu items not ordered and customers who walk out and leave. As such it leads to a viscous cycle where they don't see the revenue and therefore don't invest into it leading to really service leading to more lost revenue for the hotel. In this establishment's case the ones who are not able to get in are the winners. Certainly not worth the overpriced menu and horrible uncaring service. Good luck if you choose to go.

It's a bit difficult to find foodie or elaborate fine dining experiences in Fairbanks. Thank goodness for Zach's Restaurant! The '"tucked-away" garden-like, quiet, and classy setting and excellent service set it apart from the casual and the norm in Fairbanks.And the salmon is perfectly grilled and seasoned to perfection amongst a bed of roasted vegetables. Top it off with a glass off Marietta Old Vine.

The staff was very friendly. The restaurant wasn't quite open when we arrived so we ate at the bar/lounge area right across the hall. Our food came out fast and it was all very good. I can't remember the name of the salmon dish but we had no left overs.

Came here on a Monday night. Had 1 server, and 1 bartender. Started out friendly and courteous. Lounge started to pick up and was only the bartender as our server, brought our drinks and food, after that he never asked if everything was good, never brought a refill or asked if we'd like a refill, after being finished eating our meals for about 15 minutes, he came to get plates, then didn't return again for another 20 minutes, with checks in hand, I wanted to inquire about deserts but wasn't even given a chance, didnt ask if we'd like anything else, just set down bills and walked off without saying a word. Another server had to pick up our checks and process then and bring them back. The Scampi Linguine was overwhelming lemon flavor and couldn't taste the buttery/garlic flavor that scampi is known to have. Could just be the style of dish but I wasnt satisfied at all. But didnt get a chance to even say that I didnt like it and would wish to have a different meal possibly. I probably wont return as my experience was poor.

Service was outstanding. Drinks are a little pricy, and the food was great. I’d rate the taste an 8/10. I’ve had better forsure. The environment was super nice, kinda classy. I’d like to come back and drink and smoke in the corner. The lighting is perfect. All the deserts were tasty and hot. Not too busy either and fast service.
