You have the opinions of real people like you who are purchasing the products of Yak & Yeti Himalayan Restaurant (Restaurant) in Alaska.
At the moment this firm has a score of 4.5 out of 5 and that rating has been based on 161 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an reviews average is nearly the highest, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the score is quite credible. If people have bothered to give their review when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Nepalese restaurant.
Very good meal. I'm from out of town gave it a try and was very surprised. The cheese nan is fantastic also get the lamb curry you will not be disappointed!
We are huge fans of Nepalese and Indian cuisine but our experience at Yak and Yeti was at best a mixed bag. The appetizers were very good; we had the Lhasa Momas and Samosas. I’ve eaten naan while living in that part of the world and it is superb. This naan was below average, and a somewhat stingy portion. The chutney was very good. The entrees were at fair to poor. We had the pork and lentils combo meal as well as the spicy goat curry. The pork was very fatty and chewy and lacked flavor (very odd for this kind of cuisine). The lentils were basically a soup; it was not bad, but nothing special. The menu warns you that the goat curry will have some bones in it, but wow was that an understatement. It had more bones than meat. Many of the bones were small needle-like slivers and easily swallowed. I filled a side dish with bones; the remaining little bit of meat was very tough, fatty, with gristle and other inedible rubbery bits. The spicy curry flavor was initially good but you quickly lose your appetite working to find a decent bite without swallowing bone fragments. To end on a more positive note, the prices were not as high as you’ll find in many Anchorage restaurants. Service started out good, but went downhill quickly when they got just a little busier. I would not go back.
What a wonderful place! The owners were gracious to accommodate us very close to closing time. And the food was outstanding!! Very highly recommended this place to all.

Yummy Indian food, and g9od service
This is probably my Go-to restaurant. The food is amazing. The restaurant has a very relaxing atmosphere. Always worth the visit.
Always great food and service. Love the goat curry!
I have no idea what is on the menu I just order and it's always amazing tasting.
Simply one of Anchorage's best secrets. A must try.
Never are there but always smells good

Nice indian food in Anchorage
Great food at affordable prices, most plates $10 to $15
Very Good food..very simple... home style.. unlIkea other Indian restaurant where food is very oily / fatty
This place brings me joy. A small and intimate environment is supported by fantastic Tibetan and Indian dishes. Vegetarianism or a meat lover, your will find something good to eat here. One of the most flavorful and authentic restaurants in the city.
Wow, this place is incredible! I had. The lamb curry and Lhasa momos, and both were amazing. The place is a diamond in the rough, nothing like it appears in the exterior. The interior is clean and aesthetically pleasing, the waitstaff is prompt and courteous, it was better than I expected by far..
This is a small, quaint restaurant with a decent variety of tasty Indian and Tibetan food. We enjoyed our meal, and received good service.
What a wonderful place! The owners were gracious to accommodate us very close to closing time. And the food was outstanding!! Very highly recommended this place to all.
Pretty good for Indian food. Pricing is what you expecr for authentic indian food. The atmosphere is not great, but the service is pretty good.
FYI they open at 5pm.
Sweet, accommodating staff, fast service, and WONDERFUL food!
On a recent trip to Anchorage some friends to us to Yak & Yeti for lunch. This ended up being my most favorite lunch visit on the trip. What a great place to enjoy authentic food and have a good time. Highly recommend this place to anyone that visits the area.
Awesome authentic food. I will go again.
I'm back from Washington for two days and this was a must go for me. I was not disappointed.
Great dal bhat and momos. Reminded me of Nepal.
I'm not a huge fan of Indian food but the dumplings, Kalimpong Shapta, Keema Curry and naan were delicious. Would definitely go back. It doesn't look fancy from the outside but was clean and comfortable inside. I'd go with plain naan rather than the garlic naan which was a little strong.
Some of the best Palak Paneer I've ever had. Was a great dinner!
Great food at a good price for Alaska
We tried some unique foods that were delicious
Spices were pretty bland. Overall pretty so-so.
very good
The best chai tea in town and the place to go for Indian food. Must try the Tibetan Tingmos!
What a surprise in a place like Anchorage. Just like home cooked food. We are lentil (daal), rice, spinach (palak), appetizer, soft drinks - Indian lassi and coffee. Must experience place for anyone and everyone.
Great food. If you are tall, prepare to crouch. Everything in the building including the roof is built for someone under 5'11", except for the food. The food is great and took me one meal and a bag of leftovers to finish. Fantastic all round and BTW they do have Indian food. Like vindaloo and the like. But I went to a Nepalese restaurant so I got nepalese food. Yum.
Nice restaurant..!!! Great customer service and tasty food at a great price. Services here are awesome and well-maintained staff.
Amazing food
Great food but the one they put in the mall is terrible
The tea is just blowing my buds. Food is not bad, i would have to say their main competition is Bombay Deluxe. Small building kind of makes it hard, but worth it once in a while.
Great food and great service.
Great food, great service! Lots of vegetarian options!
My food was delicious and the waitress was very nice
Simple and small place with very good indian and tibetian food. The currys are well prepared and are not high on cream and fat like other indian restaurants. It feels like having home cooked indian food. I am a vegetarian and was impressed with this place in one corner of US.
Food is excellent and priced very fair. The server is friendly and did an excellent job. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Anchorage.
Great food, mid range price. So far the only good Indian food I have found in state.

Good food n good tea
Great food, perfect portions, reasonable prices, and most importantly the Best Customer Service. Been going for years as a lunch date with my husband while kids are in school. Also we celebrated our 3rd anniversary there and tried the entire menu it as delicious
Amazing food and fast, friendly service. We have been going here for years and they never disappoint. 5 stars
I have eaten here twice and love it, so maluch more I want to try there. If you think you know Indian food because you ate at these Indian places try Yak and Yeti and your mind will be blown like mine is. Took a coworker today and introduced him to it and he loved it, and he is pretty picky I think.
Highly recommended to ask your server to make your orders family style. It's the best way to taste all their wonderful dishes.
The food was amazing. The service was fast. Unfortunately we didn't get to taste any momos as they were out of momos.. the naan was one of the best I have had in US. The palak paneer and dal was very tasty. The Darjeeling tea had the right mix of flavors. I will definitely come back here.
Absolutely fantastic food. Loved the Lamb! Small and very cosy.
Nice restaurant..!!! Great customer service and tasty food at a great price. Services here are awesome and well-maintained staff.
Excellent food at a fair price. You are missing out if you have not had their food yet. The entire staff makes sure that you are taken care of and comfortable. An example of the staffs thoughtfulness and caring attitude is that the chef even had an extra bowl of lamb curry brought to our table for free with no prompting from us. One time I left my purse there and they called me even on a day they were closed just to get it to me. Their food is one of a kind and so are their owners. Highly recommended.
I spent 7 months working and living in the Himalayas and have been trying to find authentic Tibetan food since. I've been disappointing by restaurants in NY and Chicago, but the Yak & Yeti is the real deal.
Great food. Although small, very nice atmosphere.
Absolutely delicious. Its reasonably priced, great service and friendly staff.
Despite the location and outside appearance, this place was amazing! The inside looked quite nice and was a good environment for a nice dinner. The food was amazing, I had an order of naan and the chicken vindaloo, my wife had a naan and the chicken tikka masala. The portions were generous and the quality was great, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Minus one star only because they didnt have beer. Awesome food.
If I had known it was Nepalese and Indian, I'd likely have skipped as usually it means they're not really good at either. We took 4 dishes, ask Nepalese. The sauces were good, the rice well done, but 3 out of 4 meats were tough or very tough. All in all, it was ok at best for Nepalese food.
Awesome food.
Service was slow and I'd say the good is overrated just because people want to feel trendy. All three of us felt our food was middling at best.
Nothing special for our first visit. The mango lasse was good, however the rest of the meal (lamb and chicken curry dishes) was just ok. Likely won't return.
The food was really delicious!!
Delicious! Love it and will be back!!
This is not the place if you are looking for authentic north Indian flavor. The food was pretty bland, kinda americanized. We had ordered tandoori mushrooms, tandoori lamb and chingmo for appetizer. All the very bland. For the main course we got two entrees - chole and one more. Those were not good as well. We ended with their tea which was overly sweet.
Great little Indian restaurant. Had the chick tika masalla would recommend. Good pricing
Awesome food with a fast and good service. Nice and small place.
Excellent Tibetan dishes and Indian curries
Excellent flavors of Himalaya in middle of Alaska.
Indian food is not that authentic as compared to Namaste Shangri La .But the Naan and Samosa are awesome.
Delicious food. Don't be afraid to try something you've never heard of; it's all good!
Terrible. They took forever, were rude, and didn’t even give me what I ordered.
Warm and courteous service. Food is always hot and fresh. I always get the Chicken Tikka Masala. It's amazing. I'm not sure if I spelled that correctly.
Excellent dining experience. A great variety of food and and very welcome atmosphere. One of the best places in Anchorage!
Food was not nice. Would not reccomend
Great Indian food
Great food!
Food was incredible! Nice, quiet spot for dinner. Service is great, they don't make you feel pressured at all. Get there earlier in the evening to avoid them running out of items.
The greatest service of all time
I've eaten here religiously for over 7 years. I have never been served a single dish that was less than absolutely amazing. Service is friendly and quick. Pricing is amazing. One of the best restaurants in the state.
Decent food. The garlic Naan had raw garlic but was decent otherwise. Mango Lassi was really good.
Wow we loved the meal and appetizers. Combination meal had enough for 2 people and was very tasty. Also glad for a vegetarian samosa.
Love the curry, love the tea, love this place!
Pretty good, would return.
Great food, good service, plenty parking.
The veg kofta is great! Lots of vegetarian choices, and the Darjeeling chai makes for a sweet way to finish your meal. The wait staff is very polite and attentive.
We love the Palak Paneer and get it regularly. I’m always torn when I visit Yak & Yeti because the Nepalese dishes are wonderful but the dessert dishes are amazing. Especially the Moreo. This could definitely be a desert destination point in itself.
Decent food. The garlic Naan had raw garlic but was decent otherwise. Mango Lassi was really good.
Good food
This is our favorite spot in Anchorage. Once you go, you will be craving it, often. Good, hot, affordable, flavorful, authentic eats for everyone- Veg, GF, etc! My wife and I love sharing an app and naan, before the heaping entree of momos. So happy we found this place.
We love this place. Great food, attentive service, and cozy atmosphere. Come for the Chia, enjoy the food.
Very nice food. My wife and I really enjoyed the experience.
They had good food even my picky boyfriend liked it there was nobody in there the whole time but one pick up I do feel them opening at 5pm is weird
love the food. so good.
Really enjoyed the curries and lamb dishes. Low key atmosphere made for an enjoyable meal.
A wide array of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Good portion sizes, affordable, and water glasses never went empty!
Awesome great food at a great price with friendly small staff.
Food was good staff was wonderful
Oh what can I say except thos place is amazing! Great friendly people and the food is out of this world delicious! Will return there again!!!!
It is humble eatery serving surprisingly good Indian food in Alaska. Staff is polite and diligent. They are open for short duration and close too early!
Excellent Indian food and Chai. Awesome!
Food was delish and excellent small little place for good food in Anchorage.
Very clean and simple place. Food seems more authentic Nepalese food than the other restaurant. Simple and delicious flavor. I would recommend this place certainly.
This place, everything on the menu is amazing. The Chai is the best in town.
The spinach dish was delicious.
Good indian food for Anchorage and the tea here is way better that the other indian place.
Cozy. Lots of interesting dishes to try no matter what level of spicy food you prefer
Small place but great taste
Wow we loved the meal and appetizers. Combination meal had enough for 2 people and was very tasty. Also glad for a vegetarian samosa.
Try the Lamb Saag!
The food and service both are very good. On our trip to anchorage this became our go-to place and we visited multiple times. Great food, reasonably priced topped with very friendly service. Highly Recommended.
