this place has a great vibe and was very busy for dinner mid-week. the mediterranean shrimp salad i ordered was fantastic and a large portion. i didn't get to try their pizza, but the friend we were dining with got their classic pepperoni and said it was very good.

Pleasantly surprised Went here for my mom's birthday. We were all happy with our orders, excellent jambalaya and my husband enjoyed his burger. Everything people ordered around us looked delicious. The best part for me personally was the fact that they had so many gluten free options, since I'm allergic and get sick from wheat, its hard to find places around anchorage that have gluten free options but this place had plenty that I can go out to eat for weeks and have something different. We will definitely be coming back here again for meals to come.

This is hands down our favorite restaurant, we are here at least once a month. Get the super tots and try the bacon of the month. Just be sure you go at a normal time because I have occasionally had very slow service outside of peak hours. Wait is not normally more than 20 minutes

Amazing food and service, gluten-free friendly! The pork chop was well seasoned and the pairing with green beans, mashed potatoes and the different sauces created a delicious entree. The jerk salmon was flavorful, and the rice it came with was rich. Our server was funny, charming and took good care of us. Highly recommend!

Me and one of my girlfriends just came to drink and we had a couple small plates. But my server was awful and I did not even get her name but I remember what she looks like. Not the most extensive menu. Roadhouse that only has 1 type of steak...flank steak..... Really?! So I ordered the larger rack of ribs(pork) I have never seen so many ribs on one plate in my life. Very loud in there. They need more sound diffusion. Good place for a meal but not a special occasion.

We regularly come to the Roadhouse for its exceptional cocktails. Shane is my favorite bartender. I can just tell him to whip me up "something tasty with rye" or whatever and Shane always hits the mark. I just come here for drinks because the menu is not really to our liking. It's pretty meaty, fried, heavy bar food-centric but we do enjoy the neighborhood walk over for a cocktail. UDATE: They've added a wonderful, light vegetable appetizer, the Grilled Vegetables Napoleon, so no we enjoy this with our cocktails. Now it give them 5 stars. Thank you for expanding your menu to include a healthy bar dish!

This place was great! There was about a twenty minute wait for a party of 7 on a Friday night but honestly I'm impressed it only took that long. The food was solid and the drink selection stellar. Tons of options for house made seltzer water, local craft beer and spirits. Tons of vegetarian / vegan options from the Impossible burger to a veg-topia plate of 'side dishes' that comes out looking like enough food to satisfy a Thanksgiving kind of appetite.

Only reason I give 4 stars is because to go orders tend to be a bit sloppy. I have noticed they quote 15 minutes for a to go order. FYI most places in town quote 30 minutes or more for to go! I will gladly wait an additional 15 minutes if it means my sandwich will be put together properly and not all haphazard. The other day we got grilled cheese and tomato soup and the bread was all slanted with cheese hanging out on the side. Don’t rush so much! Also the lemon basil salad dressing I could bathe in. That stuff is amazing! Also yummy and spicy! Bloody Mary! Most everything on this menu is delicious, just wish they would slow down a touch in the kitchen.

Best calamari strips I've had in a while. It was pretty busy, our group of 5 waited about 25 minutes to be seated on a saturday evening. I had the thai curry chicken, and it was fantastic. I also enjoyed a French lavender cocktail. Definitely reccomend! Ambiance feels like a Denny's type diner, but the food is amazing.

A 6 minute drive from the Marriott Airport Hotel. A nice cozy atmosphere with great employees and good fresh food. I went at 1130 AM for lunch and the place was already getting packed , but still had plenty of seating available. The prices is on the high end because me being from Texas, but I am sure the price is decent for the Alaskans. I got the Halibut and chips, and it tasted very fresh!!! Came with about 5 decent sized chucks of fish and plenty of chips for about $30. I also got the Bacon cheese curds that were blasting with goodness, and that was about $8 I think. So all and all this is a great place for good, fresh foods.

The only reason that I am giving 4 stars is I had the delicious flat iron steak on Tuesday 5/21 so I went back on Friday 5/24 for the same thing and they decided to remove it from the menu. I asked the server why and he had no answer. He did say that it was replaced with a flank steak but he would not recommend it due to it being tuff.

Went here a couple times during our visit to AK. Will definitely be going back mext time we're in town. Great bar menu as well as food selection and prices are reasonable. Was a little disappointed they're no longer doing Rock fish and chips. However, best calamari ever, so tender! Also had the bacon of the month, the Mediterranean salad, and bacon jam burger. All were delicious and service was great.

Spenard Roadhouse is not what I expected. I have always passed it up because from the outside it just looks so drab. But really the atmosphere is great; tall ceilings, interesting lighting, and bright welcoming colors. The food was great, we got the truffle butter & mushroom pizza and bacon fried cheese curds, bother delicious. The thing I was most impressed by was the drink menu. Their cocktails were untraditional and very creative flavor combos, I can’t wait to go back and work my way down the menu. They even had an incredible non-alcoholic drink menu with handcrafted sodas. I tried the Shrubbery and the Ginger Pop. Both delicious but the ginger one was mind blowing good. I will definitely be going back to try more menu items and cocktails!

They have a fantastic menu and great food. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's always very noisy which can't be helped with the crowd they always have and parking can be a challenge but you are allowed to park in surrounding parking lots which is helpful.

A 6 minute drive from the Marriott Airport Hotel. A nice cozy atmosphere with great employees and good fresh food. I went at 1130 AM for lunch and the place was already getting packed , but still had plenty of seating available. The prices is on the high end because me being from Texas, but I am sure the price is decent for the Alaskans. I got the Halibut and chips, and it tasted very fresh!!! Came with about 5 decent sized chucks of fish and plenty of chips for about $30. I also got the Bacon cheese curds that were blasting with goodness, and that was about $8 I think. So all and all this is a great place for good, fresh foods.

The food and service was excellent. The only reason that I am giving 4 stars is I had the delicious flat iron steak on Tuesday 5/21 so I went back on Friday 5/24 for the same thing and they decided to remove it from the menu. I asked the server why and he had no answer. He did say that it was replaced with a flank steak but he would not recommend it due to it being tuff.

My husband and I ate here on a trip to Alaska in July 2019. We had read a lot of great reviews about it. Turns out, it wasn't quite what we were looking for, but it was still good. The restaurant was extremely crowded while we were there, and the atmosphere was less "authentic" than we hoped. However, after a short wait we received a table and our waitress was fabulous. The food was average, but definitely not as good as some of the "hole in the wall" places we visited while in Alaska. There were out of the meal I wanted to order, so I ordered my second choice. I did really like the fact that they had some very cheap appetizers, like $1 popcorn and a small plate of fries. Most restaurants don't serve smaller appetizers. We enjoyed our meal. I don't think we'd go back if we ever visit Alaska again, because there are just too many better choices, but we did get good service and the food was good.
