Not bad. Not much different than other tacos offered around town If it was my place, I'd turn it into an all you eat taco bar. Focus on that. Charge 10 bucks. Lettuce tomato cheese w cheap hard taco shells.

This is an excellent place to get some authentic Mexican food. The menu isn't huge, but they cover all of the bases. What sets them apart from your average Mexican restaurant is the amount of flavor packed into their meats. No matter what you get, you can expect nothing on your plate to be boring. Their freshly made corn tortillas and salsas are also excellent additions to any meal. From my experience, service is friendly and fast. I'd certainly recommend Serrano's if you're in search of Mexican food in Anchorage.

Good Mexican food is hard to come by in Anchorage. This place has food flavor and is quick enough for a lunch stop. Coworkers and I frequent this place.

Used to think this place was hands down the best. However, I now can't go in without a major change taking place. Used to give two amazing tortillas with tacos, changed to one. had jalapeno spears, changed to wheels. Carne asada is greasy and inconsistent, and most recently the layout was changed. The booths by the windows were changed to tables. Privacy is gone.

High Quality, Low Prices This place is on my short-list of favorites in Anchorage. It’s the best value for your buck if you want good Mexican food. Prices are similar to Taco King but the food quality is noticeably better at Serrano's and it feels a lot less like fast food. It's an order-at-the-counter-then-sit style dining room, with self-serve fountain drinks and salsa bar (also similar to T King, but they bring food out to you instead of yelling at you to come get it). The atmosphere is superior to what you would expect at this price. They have outdoor tables in the summer so you don't have to miss a minute of the rare warm afternoon in AK. Let's not forget the beer. Yep, they have beer. When I go out for Mexican, I can’t think of a reason I would go any other place in town.

Tasty, Trendy & Fast! A quick serve and sit down restaurant with a limited but strong menu of favorites that are sure to please your Mexicano cravings. With a tailored selection of beer and wine, this is a good spot for a nice sit down meal or a quick bit to eat. My favorite was the street tacos - which were fresh and bursting with flavor from the cilantro, onions and carne asada. With some lime to squeeze over the top, it's a quick bite that is my absolute favorite. Rice and beans on the side that were probably some of the best I've ever had (I swear the rice was made with a chicken stock - very flavorful). They also have a salsa bar with some very nice mild like chipotle sauce to some 911 that will literally make your lips feel the heat straight away! Serrano's - I'm coming back!

Meh. I've been here a few times now and am still not getting what the buzz is about. It's basically a wraps place. And that does nothing for me. It's also usually not the cleanest place I've been in either, with tables that need cleaned, etc. I occasionally get dragged back with friends, but it certainly would not be my choice.

I go here almost every time I happen to be in Anchorage. They are great at accommodating large walk-in parties, and the food is always top quality. The servers are also very quick to take your plate once you are finished which leaves the dining room constantly clean and welcoming. It's hard to try other restaurants because Serrano's always has great food at what I would consider to be a cheap price

I went here for the first time this week for lunch. When you go in there's a chalkboard menu and an area to order where they give you a number to take to any table you like. I ordered the traditional enchiladas and they were great! They came with beans and rice as well. It was pretty quiet on a weekday at 1 and I was able to order, eat, and leave in under 35min which I appreciated! I would recommend a try.

Good enchiladas and rice, beans were pleasantly not heavily seasoned. Salsa goes from mild and flavorful to hotter-then-I-prefer. Quality smoked poblano used for the Chile relleno. Real queso fresco in use. Owner is straight from East Los Angeles and cares that you are satisfied. I'd go back.

Tall stein filled with ice, waters down the drink to a pink drink...Macho dinner ($14) should be called a nacho dinner, small potions-carne asada seemed boiled; definitely wasn’t grilled steak...girl at the counter was very slow and rude...not many diners in the restaurant and now I know why...adios serranos

I have always loved their Southwestern Egg Rolls and their rice is so good but a while back I received rice that was dried out and egg rolls that were still cold in the middle.... I stopped going for a long time after and when I finally gave it another try it took 2 and a half hours to get my order delivered and the food was room temperature... (I was still charged for the entire order including the delivery charge)

The best Mexican in Anchorage. The proprietor is a real nice fellow, and remembers faces, which I enjoy. Has a good salsa bar, though it is a little small. The salsa selections are homemade, and there is also as much sour sour cream as you could need. The food though. Man is it good. I've had 5 different dishes there so far, and each one was off the hook, with large portion sizes. Highly recommended.

Best tacos in Anchorage. They changed the tortillas and that was a major win decision. They taste even better now. The meat (carne asada) is so juicy and tender. Sauces are great and they have two brews that are made for them by someone else I think. Very good beers. I've only had tasters but they will work well with tacos. If I could give them 6 stars I would.

This place is decieving from the outside. The inside is cute and clean with a nice vibe. There are chili plants growing in pots near the windows (I saw serranos and jalapeños). They have a nice selection of local beers on draft. The enchiladas we're amazing. There were two and served with refried beans and rice. There is also a salsa bar! I highly enjoyed my food.

There a salsa bar with a full selection of house made salads and sour cream, and the whole place is always clean and the staff is always friendly.

I absolutely love this place, one of my favorites for Mexican in Anchorage :)They have a pretty simple menu, but it's enough to choose from between Street Tacos and their amazing Serrano's burrito (which I can never finish because it's so filling). I love being able to drink a Horchata (creamy drink with cinnamon and vanilla flavor)! The staff is always friendly and they serve you quick! I love their salsa bar so you can take what you want for your food. It has a fun atmosphere like Middle Way Cafe does! I highly recommend trying this place :)

My family and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time a few nights ago as it was recommended by a colleague of mine. My first impression was that the decor was nice and the place was clean. I didn't know that we had to order at the counter first before choosing a table; however, this didn't ruin our experience here. The person taking our order was friendly and offered suggestions. When our food was served, we couldn't wait to dig in. We ordered the chimichanga, burrito, torta, burger, and asada fries w/pork. All of it was delicious! All seasoned perfectly and not over done. My fave, so far though, is the asada fries w/pork. You have to try this! You won't be disappointed. Overall, great place. We'll be back ;)

Maybe it’s that we’ve just drove in from Texas and are used to the food in Texas, Colorado, Arizona, California, Kansas, New Mexico and even Wyoming. This falls far short of all of those states. No vegetarian options. Pork in the refried beans. Probably not a problem for most but it was for us. Order at counter and food brought to table. Staff is friendly enough but they need to retrain in the lower 48 to get the food right. Probably should have moved on when we walked in but gave it a try. Won’t make the same mistake again.

Update!...Thanks again guys, food s good. I think the ceviche would be better served in a little bowl...but that’s just me...I like thou (Original...sometime early 2018) I love Serranos, their shrimp tostada is amazing, work of art!! My grandma came up for a week to visit me and i took her there to get a quick bite and we ended up going 3 more times after that. I'm grateful to the staff, they were super polite and respectful to her. Thx guys!
