My fiancé and I were able to post up here while we waited for our flight. Service was awesome. Shakira, and another wonderful gal took care of us. (Her name begins with an A, and I forgot it like a dummy.) Prices are fair. Drinks are strong. Food is delicious. If we find ourselves in Fairbanks again, we'll come back here. Very small space. Went on mother's day (with 5 people) to try and get to-go food for us and to take to our brother who had just been rescued after 6 days lost in the Alaskan wilderness. There was no room to sit anywhere so I asked the bartender about ordering. She guessed it would be 45 minutes minimum. We still had an hour drive to get food to brother, So we left discouraged.

Hands down the best breakfast on the west side of Fairbanks. Very friendly service and what I would consider a devout cult following for some of the locals. They have a pretty mean Bloody Mary to get you day rolling. I have never had a bad meal, their cheese steak sandwiches are down right tasty. Full service bar will all the different Tv's playing sports.

Love it even more now that its gone smoke free! Eggs Benedict's are the absolute best in town! Bartenders know their business too, just as good a place to spend Saturday night as it is for brunch on Sunday

The breakfast here is fine but that's all that I would consider. It's a pretty dirty place. Small bits of food, menus, and utensils under all the seats. Wouldn't be surprised if the kitchen had the same level of cleanliness.

Walked in quarter to 10, right before they quit serving food and the bartender got our order in right away. Surprised to find a pork tenderloin in Alaska, but there is was and it was delicious!

Terrible I've ate there several times (to go orders) and its always been so nasty. I just ordered a steak tonight and it was so dry I didn't even want to finish it. On top of that it taste like sweet onions, I hate onions. It doesn't say on the menu that onions come on the steak. I called to let them know how dry that steak was and they said they would give me 8.50 off my next meal. That don't replace the fact that my steak was dry when it was 18.25

Food and service are hit or miss. Sometimes it's great food that comes out quick with great service. Other times you sit and wait an hour just for your drinks while other tables come in, eat, and leave. The menu is typical diner/pub foods.

Fried halibut was crunchy but lite batter, coleslaw was yummy, fries crispy outside, burger juicy, and thumbs up for kid's grilled cheese. Service was very slow, I saw only 2 servers so they were trying, just being slammed on a Friday night.

Good American food and friendly service but very very slow service. Not good for a one hour work day lunch. You’ll be lucky to order food after being there an hour. The phone is always busy or they ask you to wait a minute and never come back.

The only reason I am given them a 3 stars is because they did not have to eat what we went in for, they were out of ribs, Cole slaw and onion rings, so we ask for their jagershnitzel and they were also out, so that alone was a 3 star, other than that service was great and the ambien was what to expect out of a bar.

Husband and I ordered halibut salads. I ordered Guineas and he ordered a coke. We got our drinks the Guineas was 'off somehow when I asked her about it. She said it came from a can and she could show me it if I wanted a refill!? This was 30 minutes I to our waiting for SALADS. When the clock was 3 minutes from being a solid hour we got up to go. She tried to get us to wait because my SALAD was done but my husband's wasn't made yet. Thw waitress was polite but obviously the kitchen was grossly inadequate.

The service really varies at the Oasis. I went to breakfast and had great service and great food in the morning. Then my second visit was in the afternoon and the server was very unfriendly and not helpful at all. I think the owner should take a look at their service standards. Our server had bow tattoos on her chest. I am providing this information not because I'm offended by tattoos, but because I would like the owner to know who I'm speaking about. I would have given a five star review based on my morning visit, but the afternoon visit lowered it to a three star.

No doubt that the service is slow and they the servers are often inattentive, but when they do come, they're super nice. No matter what though the food is SOOOOOO Good! If you get in before 2pm (breakfast is served until 2) you've got to try the Smoked Salmon Benedict. It's awesome! Also, ask what the soup of the day is and it happens to be Rice and Chicken, order it too because, it's way better than you imagine. :)

Place has gone downhill since, Lynn, has gone. Still has free pool on Sunday. Not real sure about the food. Only had a couple meals there recently and I was not real impressed. They definitely don't have the old cheese sticks they used to.

I love breakfast at Oasis. The crab eggs Benedict is amazing. You can get half portions for lighter appetites. They had blueberry coffee available from North Pole Coffee too. Soooo good. Friendly staff too.

New York strip and egg whites and hash browns with 2 wheat pancakes... Meal was good steak was a little tough and the portion of egg whites were less than a previous restaurant I ate. I recommend Ordering the ribeye instead.

I had no idea that there would be an Oasis in Fairbanks, Alaska, but this place is it. As a very new Eskimo, I didn't know where to go for a drink but stumbled upon it on a very thirsty evening. For food, I highly recommend the burgers and omelets. They have a good beer selection too, making this a great place to bring your new Eskimo girlfriend to plan your next adventure. Have a shot and a beer while listening to the jukebox. A word of caution - cool Alaska nights, great drinks and a beautiful girl can be addictive, even to a Vegas Eskimo!

Service was extremely slow and rude (except the bartender). Took multiple attempts to order. Had to go to bar to order drinks. Over 45 minutes to get food, which was good enough to gove 2 stars versus 0.

The customer service was good, the Super Nachos will not very good the ground meat on there didn't taste right the bacon cheeseburgers were great, the temperature inside of the building was really hot but a 90° at the first week of July would be nice if they had air conditioning so for the temperature being so hot inside of the building they have an installation issue to where it's not keeping the heat out when they fix the temperature in the building also reevaluate the ground me I will bring it up a star

I've been here a bunch of times and it's always the same. They only staff one overwhelmed, surly, slow moving waitress that is annoyed by your presence at a time for the entire floor and the regulars get the majority of their attention. Food's okay.

One of the BEST bloody Mary’s in town. Sometimes a little strong but that’s not a bad thing for people who like to drink. Also THE best eggs Benedict in town. The sauce is always perfect and they give a generous amount of it. It’s become my regular order. Yeah the wait is long, so keep that in mind. It’s always been that way and is always busy on the weekend. Go when you have time to relax!

the food at the Oasis is good. Generally large portions. Unfortunately there is usually only 1 or 2 servers so can make wait time long. Due to the bar area it can also be noisy even in the back dining area especially on weekends.

The utensils are dirty, the drinks are so watered down they can support an ecosystem and can fix the water problem in flint Michigan. Sanitation of the building is awful and the service matches. They are slower than molasses in winter time. The food is more bland then the stale end piece of white bread.

We arrived and sat for quit some time before I went and asked for menues. We ordered and 10 min after some other folks came in and ordered. They got food right away. We have been sitting 30 min. No refills on drinks, no food, and no one checking on us. Will NEVER come back.

The Oasis is a damn good little bar with damn good food and damn good service with a good crowd and I like it alot. Go check it out, have yourself some drinks and you'll see what I'm talking about. Seem to be open minded, a nice cool and down-to-earth easy-going crowd. I did see a couple of cross-dressers so beware how open minded it is.

The worst bar in Fairbanks. Hands down the worst service I've had the displeasure of experiencing...the bartendress cut the entire group (7 indivduals, including myself) off from ordering more drinks because her drunk regular said "these guys dont deserve to sit at your bar" like what? Most confusing and worst service we have experienced, ever. Thumbs down 1 star rating

Stopped to eat and have a beer, sat down and waited, and waited while the only server walked past me 4 times without stopping and then stopped at the bar and chatted with other customers. The bartender also walked past and made eye contact with me and did not stop to ask if I wanted something to drink. After 10 minutes waiting I left. Lived in Fairbanks for 20 years and moved away in the late 90s, hospitality here sure has changed. This place is not a good place to spend your money.
