Great food and well worth the cost.
Excellent service and meal quality, the Valentine's menu was exceptional
By Far our favorite restaurant ever. We eat here weekly and are yet to be disappointed. No restaurant even comes close to the quality and service that you receive at Kincaid Grill.
Rude people and bad service. The interior is nice though.
Excellent service and upscale dining without being pretentious or snooty. Very good food, some dishes are better than others. The soups tonight were excellent and the gorgonzola fondue was delicious. Dinner was OK, the special was grilled rockfish that my wife said wasn't great - the lamb chops were good though. We had a rhubarb cake and Portuguese donuts for desert, both delightful.

Chef tasting menu was delicious and very decently priced. Highly recommended and worth multiple visits as they change it often.
Wonderful location !!!
My current favorite Anchorage favorite.
First time experience: Wonderful dining experience. The Kodiak scallops and sablefish, wine, cheese cake and s'mores were delicious and beautiful. Romantic appeal and special occasions destination from now on.
I was impressed as I walked into the restaurant. The ceiling has acoustic tile and the floor is carpeted. At last a quiet restaurant that I can have a nice conversation without noise and music blaring. We were seated immediately with a reservation. The waiter explained the menu with the evening specials. We ordered a bottle of wine and appetizers; they come in a timely fashion and were quite tasty. The main course took a little time, but it was well worth the wait. Amazing scallops and ling cod.
So awesome!!
Wonderful experience, exquisite cuisine, beautiful atmosphere
Although the food are a little pricy, the environment is excellent and the staffs are professional in serving the guests. One more thing, the quality and taste of the foods are both amazing!
Salmon special and scallops were great
Excellent place to eat
Exquisite and delicious
Great place for special occasions. The lamb is my all time favorite as it feels like melting butter as you eat it. My experience was great from beginning to end.
The food was amazing. From the steak my wife had or the fried chicken I did, it was beautiful. I feel its more ritzy than Simon's, really.
You won't be disappointed
The flavors the wine, I'm so full. That was one of the best meals ever.
Never Disappointed
This is the most delicious place ive ever eaten. I recommend the rock fish plate, beet salad, steak and crabcakes!
The location is not super, but the rest is quite nice. The dining room is long and cozy, and there is a window to the kitchen. Service is very friendly and attentive. The food is fresh and cooked well. We tried the standard menu and some of the specials (mushroom soup, king salmon, black cod) and it was probably the best we had in Alaska.
The food is very tasty and the portions are enormous but the place is a bit worn out and the service is a bit too kind in a wrong way. We were also forgotten for like 10-15 minutes which is quite annoying. But again, the food was very good.
Had our anniversary dinner here. Excellent food and service. Free anniversary dessert! Highly recommend.
Awesome food and even better desserts. The creme brulee is the best

Best unknown restaurant in town
We go to Kincaid Grill about three times a month, and it never, never fails to deliver tasty food, perfectly prepared, by well-trained wait staff. Extensive wine list as well. Near Kincaid Park so not exactly in the thick of things, but that's a plus because it's mostly locals and the atmosphere is laid back and gracious.
Fantastic food in an unassuming strip mall, this elegant restaurant offers unique combinations each time I come! As someone who eats little red meat, they are always game to take in my dietary realities to help me make choices. The serving staff makes me smile, and even the starter bread is a winner. Even on the times it doesn't strike it out of the park, the next thing will make up for it. Great choice for a business meeting or romantic night out.
Great food and service!
Great atmosphere for a nice sit down dinner. Excellent wine selection and spectacular food.
Amazing food! Service was great as well. Decor is very outdated, but it has its own charm. Did I say the food was amazing?!?!
I've been to this place only twice. First time, for a small dinner. Second time, for a private birthday party (we had the entire restaurant to ourselves). Both times the food and service were exceptional. Totally recommend.
Amazing food and environment to take that special one.
Loved it!
One of the best restaurants in Anchorage hands down. The Executive Chef Drew has an amazing menu. If you are a first time guest, I recommend the taster menu with the wine pairing. It will not disappoint. This is a more upscale restaurant but you are able to come in eat in more casual attire. Unfortunately no mixed drinks on the menu. I do recommend their filet mignon, pork chop, and their bourbon chocolate souffle is to die for!!!
Pricey. Really good food. Great option if you want a nice night out without going downtown.
Excellent food and so was the service. They only serve seasonal sea food .,but you will be delighted with the presentation and freshness added with taste, which is amazing. I was almost eating the rubbish at the hotel , I was staying at. As it is snowing right now. Glad I made the choice to drive.
An Excellent gourmet restaurant. We went here for a business dinner, and the prix fix meal was fabulous. It is small and can be loud. It is not a cavernous room filled with dark booths. It is upscale, best described as business casual. The food equals the price: both are top notch.
I have been to your Grill 3 times in the past year. 2 out of the 3 times services and food were great. Prices are a bit high, but when it is good I don't mind. Unfortunately when you miss you miss good. My server took it as a personal insult when I sent back my salmon and told him when I ordered it just a month and 1/2 earlier it was Sockeye not King. I prefer Sockeye. He continued to tell me repeatedly that you do not have Sockeye and that you only have King Salmon for that recipe. I let him know that I am positive what I received and even asked the server prior to ordering. He still continued to tell me I was mistaken. I didn't have to pay for the meal I didn't eat. But I didn't order anything to replace it because he had upset me by arguing with me. I gave 3 stars because of my other 2 visits. Might want to look into your service when you charge prices like that. It isn't just about the food at that price.
Always creative and delicious. Great staff!
Nice little out-of-the-way place with the type of atmosphere and food you wouldn't expect by looking at its facade. Excellent service and we'll be coming back again.
Amazing food and outstanding service!
This is our go to place for special occasions like anniversaries and birthdays. The food, presentation, service, and ambiance at Kincaid Grill is outstanding. We especially like their tasting menus with wine pairings so we can sample many wonderful dishes and wines.
Awesome food and service.
Food is always phenomenal and the service is top notch. Great place for date night and special occasions.
great food , better chef , awesome environment
This is my favorite restaurant in Anchorage! Better than Simon and Seafort's, miles above Bridge, just an all around great experience.
I keep going back to the Grill over and over again, it's truly a foodgasmic experience. The ambiance is amazing (particularly considering the location), the service has been unparalleled, and the food is fantastic. I love the locally sourced product when available. I have never been let down, would recommend to a friend, and go there for my birthday - every year. Balsamic vinegar ice cream? FANTASTIC. Duck confit? FANTASTIC. Oh and don't forget the best salmon in town... its, well, FANTASTIC! Born and raised in an Alaskan fishing family I know my salmon. LOVE LOVE LOVE their special tasting menu with wine pairings. I think anyone with a negative review is simply mad (as in insane), or waaaayyy too Hollywood lower 48 for their own good. I've popped in in athletic gear and in formal attire and always get the same courteous service.
Amazing dinner!
The best in Anchorage food is always good. Pricey but worth it.
excellent food and service
Absolutely the best fine dining restaurant in Anchorage. The menu is rotated quite frequently and superb. Also the best vegitarian entree. Call at least an hour ahead of your reservation and let the chef know how many vegitarians are in your party and they will make a dish from scratch that even the most Ron Swanson of carnivores will not soon forget. You owe it to yourself if you're in Anchorage for any length of time to stop by.
Best food drinks service and atmosphere on the beach!"
Great food with amazing desserts, I ended up having 3 just to try them.
Not bad, not good, just ok. Not really living up to the hype.
A wonderful atmosphere for a special dinner out, focusing on seafood. The meals are delicious and the staff attentive. Plan on spending money, though.
Awesome!

Food was BEYOND amazing. Probably the best steak I've ever had, and crab was phenomenal
Nice fish dinner
II could eat here everyday! The food is Delicious. I am Never disappointed with the selections on the menu. I ordered the scallops, and another time, the salmon. They were both exceptional, and cooked to perfection. The customer service is excellent, when I am in town, I always eat here. Thank you for your exceptional dining experience.
After a blah Alaskan cousine, this place is a find!!! Great food, great service and they do accommodate food allergies!! Go here you will not be disappointed
It was very good. Portion size was small for the price but very good.
Always a too favorite on summer days / nights.
Local restaurant that is casual but has a 5 star menu. It's in a strip mall and that is deceiving.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere of this intimate restaurant. Great food, excellent selection of wine. Not rushed. Off the chart delicious food. 2 things can be improved: espresso should be added to the menu and location could use a view. Neither of which would ever stop me from a return visit. Top 3 of best restaurants I've ever been.
Excellent seafood with a beautiful ocean view.
Amazing dishes, great friendly and knowledgeable staff, and enough ambiance to make you forget you're in a strip mall over the hill from the airport. Always work the trip
We have been denying ourselves. The Kincaid Grill is too often overlooked when we seek a bite to eat, despite being in our neighborhood. We send our Airbnb guests there often, yet don't allow ourselves the pleasure. We should change that. Beautiful food, excellent service & the executive chef Drew is an absolute delight -- so personable, kind & filled with excitement about his craft. What a wonderful visit. I look forward to more. :)
Love this place everything is amazing
“Excellent restaurant!” We held a family reunion in a private room here in July. Excellent food, service, and room. Highly recommend.
Good. prices are a little high for what you get
An exceptional meal was had on 8-21-19! Started out with crab cakes which were literally 99% crab meat with a light panko style breading, absolutely delicious and in the top 3 if not #1 for all the higher end restaurants around the country I have been to that serve this appetizer . The seafood fusion soup was highly recommended by my waiter and it was absolutely delicious! Next were the berebere spiced lamb chops with bok choy and black rice. The chops were prepared perfectly and tender as could be. This was a large dish that consisted of a heavy half rack of lamb, this was a lot to eat but very delicious! I certainly didn't need it but finished with my favorite dessert of creme brulee with their specialty brewed coffee. This is the third time here since discovering this early spring, every meal has been incredible and filling and the wait staff absolutely supurb, friendly and knowledgeable. This is a higher end restaurant but very well worth the visit!
We had a very nice evening. Food and Wine were delicious and we had a very good service. Staff was very friendly except one young man who helped the main waiter, seemed kinda annoyed and never smiled or talked on the table when he was there. But our waiter was very good and all together it was a very nice experience.
I got Prawns with cheddar grits and andouille sausage. The grits were creamy and the prawns were cooked perfectly but the sauce (which tasted similar to buffalo sauce) over powered the whole dish and it turned it into to a soup. If the chef had just put a little sauce on the grits the dish would have been perfect. Also, I almost left before we were even seated because the hostess told me I could "put the baby on the floor and kind of hide it under the table so it didn't get trampled on" (in the car seat). I don't think I would take our children with us here again even though they're well behaved, it doesn't really seem like a family friendly restaurant. Good for a nice adult dinner out though.
Outstanding seafood, lamb and pork dinners. Ciopino was excellent as was dry aged pork chop!
Would not recommend, I expect more from the price of the food and the reviews. Service was slow and food was slower.
Absolutely great food. And excellent service.
Fantastic restaurant. Serves locally sourced products with an imaginative spin on classic flavor pairings. Service is top notch and they have a fantastic wine selection. Do not miss!
We eat out every day somewhere and rate our experience based on mostly three major areas, Atmosphere/Server/food. I rate Kincad Grill 5* on all 3 areas. Reservations recommended
Bravo! It was most excellent! A truly memorable meal!
One of the best restaurants in town. Great service and inventive cuisine. Located in a strip mall making it more of a neighborhood gem, but worth the drive to sample the menu. This place is almost always booked so plan ahead.
They made my anniversary be amazing!!
Featuring fresh ingredients, local fare and an experienced staff, Kincaid Grill is a treasure in Anchorage. Do yourself a favor and find your way to this delectable treat of an establishment.
Excellent food and very attentive staff.
Great food. A little on the expensive side. Nice quiet classy neighborhood restaurant.
Nice place for peace and quiet and picnics
Excellent food and, in my opinion, priced very reasonably for the quality.
Nice atmosphere, delicious gourmet food, excellent service
Great service and menu. A hidden gem for great local flavors.
Best in Anchorage, and better than Seattle and Portland, and Boise.
We found this place on Yelp and it lived up to its billing. Drinks, (wine and beer), food (beef medallions and salmon), service and environment were all superb. People seemed to enjoy working there and have pride in what they did. Hope to be back when in Anchorage again.
It is unfortunate that an individual would write such a slanderous review regarding loading day old chickens at Costco . Before the author writes such a review they should be well aware of the actual facts surrounding such activity. Kincaid Grill supports numerous non profits and participates and donates to numerous fundraisers, continually supporting and giving back to the Anchorage community. A simple look up on our website would confirm that we don't have whole roast chicken on our menu. These so called "day old" chickens were purchased and prepared for one such fundraiser. As a small business owner it is frightening that such damaging content may be posted at anytime by anyone, even though true facts were not obtained. As they Say: No good dead goes unpunished. Kind Regards, Chef Al Levinsohn
We enjoyed our tasting menu dinner here. We ordered one tasting menu plus one extra entree not on the tasting menu and we had fun trying all of the different courses. The food here is good, but not as refined as I had hoped it would be. The service is friendly, and we were impressed to witness our server being unusually patient with a fussy guest at a nearby table.
Food was BEYOND amazing. Probably the best steak I've ever had, and crab was phenomenal

Fantastic fine dining here in Anchorage? Sign me up! Kincaid Grill is one of the very few places in town that prepares salmon properly (a dish sadly overcooked 90% of the time.) The King Prawn is absoutely fantastic. I've always been pleased with their varied steak offerings as well. In short, I've never left Kincaid Grill feeling short-changed. Chef Al and his staff consistently knock it out of the park. Keep up the good work Chef Al and team, we appreciate you! In fact, I think we'll go there tonight :)
The Kincaid Grill is simply amazing! We've never had one bad experience there with either the food or service! It's our favorite restaurant in Anchorage!
Everyone enjoyed their food. Scallops, crab cakes, black cod, lamb: all very good. Entrees $32+. Starters $9-16. Soups and salads $9-12. Generous portions for a halfway fancy place.
Great five course meal with paired wine. Excellent service. A bit expensive, but worth it.
I eat here often, like the food and the people. Not inexpensive, and most of the time it is worth it.
What a hidden gem. Some of the best food on a world class scale. I enjoyed this restaurant greatly when I traveled to Alaska
Wonderful seafood stew and great crab cakes
The best ever thank you.....
Good service, good food. Atmosphere is terrible.. cheap. Ugliest bar in Anchorage
-2 taste, -1 pricing. I never mind paying $200 a meal for 2 people unless the food quality is not up to par. I ordered the seafood gumbo appetizer and the roux was overly floury and glob-like. I did not get a cup it was more like 5 spoon fulls. There were exactly 2 shrimp & 2 sausage slices along with white rice and powder tasting roux mix. I was not impressed but I am from down south so I gave them a break other than the tiny portion offered. I ordered the Filet cut rare and it came out medium on the outside and medium rarish on the inside and was smothered in a creamy dill sauce that was overpowering. Working in a steak restaurant in my younger years I could tell this filet was low quality especially since it was very tough. The steak itself was extremely bland and lacked flavor. Probably why it is masked by the smothering sauce. It was accompanied by a creamy spinach that tasted like it was previously frozen and came from a Carrs pre-package. Mash potatoes were dry and flaky and seemed like they were not fresh. I had wine and bread pudding too but Over all the price was way out of line for the poor quality of food. I did have great service and tipped 40% despite terrible food.
Lambchops Oh my god the lamb chops!!!
Outstanding food excellent service one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Anchorage.
Pricey but worth it
Local neighborhood restaurant. Solid range of Alaska seafood, fowl, and steaks. Great flavors with their food. Salmon and gumbo are always delicious. For my taste, a little on the too much sauce on the main courses. Very good wine list.
Some of the best seafood dishes I've had, and I've spent most of my time between Alaska and Florida. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is a fine dining experience with helpful and friendly staff, and two excellent chefs providing a constantly-changing menu, from which I've yet to have something I didn't love.
It's a unique little sandwich shop which great eats! Something for everyone. The atmosphere is awesome, and service was friendly and fast.
Fantastic food and service.
The food is outstanding, service professional, but they are forgetting to just be kind. I still have 5 stars because food was amazing.
Amazing wait staff. Great atmosphere and seating. Love the food regardless of time of year.
Excellent! Our waiter was amazing, and the food absolutely perfect. They also have a huge wine list to choose from. I ordered the duck, which I've never eaten before, and I was blown away. I can't wait to go back.
Staff was professional and food was fantastic. Great restaurant!
Delicious! Not cheap but the quality and service were worth the price.
The food here is always fantastic, and the service is excellent. We have eaten here for several special occasions and have never been disappointed.
Delicious food, great service, weird location... inadequate seating...
Yummy!
Kincaid Grill offers some of the best fine dining north of The Wall (in case you were wondering, Vancouver, BC). Great atmosphere. Perfectly cooked and presented food. Certainly, the best wait person in Alaska if you are lucky enough to get him. A real professional. This is a great place to take someone special or for that special occasion. Nice atmosphere. Relatively quiet. You should able to hear yourself think.
Only been once, very classy with great food. Will try and make it back here and will definitely update my review then.
This is an unbeatable property in Anchorage. EVERY staff member goes above and beyond, the rooms are immaculate and beautiful and the entire hotel is spotless. As a Hilton Honors diamond member, I've stayed in a lot of hotels and this one tops my list.
Awesome experience, my wife didn't care for the dish she choose and they immediately gave her a different meal without one compliant from us. She was just going to pick over it and eat at home. The waiter noticed she didn't seem to be enjoying her meal and they replaced it with an awesome meal in about 5 mins. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Best dinner of my life. Hands down.
“Incredible Service, Incredible Food,” Your always a friend here, the entire staff are pure pro's, every detail, yet not overwhelmed by this exclusive service. A perfect place to take your date, or your wife for that special night. Always a favorite of mine & if you settle for less, less is what you get.
The service was impeccable; their food, transcendent. The cioppino, gumbo, duck, and molten blue cheese appetizers are all to die for. I'm sure that everything else is as well but I haven't tried it yet. Eat here, you will not be disappointed!
Fantastic for and great service
All good. Real good. Fusion seafood soup is a sublime treat, King crab cakes paired with reisling made a seasonal delight.

This place has the best service and foods in Anchorage. My bf works here and brought me to dinner and the duck soup was Amazing! We had a full course meal an by the end of it I could not eat another bite, and then came the desert.. ..mouth watering after my first tiny bite led into a compulsive munch down of the chocolate goodness. Did i mention the fabulous wine? Oh wow! Each course to its wine was Awesome! I want to come back ASAP
