Amazing food. Great ambience. Attentive and happy wait staff.

Alisa Royem

A beautiful setting for a delicious meal. Girdwood is lucky to have a unique and delicious restaurant where one can enjoy the views.

BIPINCHANDRA KADIRI

If nearby and craving a good lunch, dinner don't even bother looking elsewhere. Good food and good ambience (indoor as well as outdoor). This place offers Asian and vegan options too. I tried a shrimp dish and salmon. Both were amazing. The waitress / staff were polite and courteous as well...

Aspen Knight

Jack Sprat is a great place to have dinner; the menu contains fresh ingredients. I had their giant scallops; this appetizer dish comes with only 3 scallops but I added 5 more. Mmmm, it was perfectly cooked, still tender and soft and well seasoned. I highly recommend it, be sure to call ahead for reservations if your driving from Anchorage. The scenic highway may distract you from reaching the restaurant in time.

Avinash G

Cosy little place , lots of vegetarian friendly options . You must reserve a table in advance , else you will have to wait at least 30 to 40 minutes. Good view of the ski slope from infront of the hotel . Limited parking is available.

Vince Prep

I'd walk 500 miles for Klondike Scallops. Mother Hubbard's Cupboard next door is really cute as well. Could not find them on Google Maps but worth visiting if you're at the restaurant. Steve Keene art in the bathroom. Very cool people. Even though they were fully booked, they managed to get us a three top inside. Killer food. Attentive staff. Kept my family happy. Love this place. We'll be back for sure!

Nade Bozhinova

Tonight dinner was lovely. Worth the drive to girdwood. I have eaten here more the a few times, sometimes it's not so great, but today's dinner was the best I have had there in a long time. The flank steak was very good, the both kinds of fries were excellent and crisp. The service was excellent and timely.

Andrew Ob

Divine food, set in the most beautiful surroundings in alaska. Excellent vegetarian options. Quality ingredients in the dishes. Meticulously designed interior which approaches artwork rather than architecture and furnishing. Outdoor seating available. Can be very busy.

Robert Siniscalchi II

No complaints! The food was delicious and the staff was friendly, would definitely go back. There was a bit of a wait and we had to sit outside, but once we got our smoked salmon pasta nothing else mattered :p Give it a try!

Lindsey Green

Delicious menu with tons of options! Have a specific diet? They will accommodate you. Don’t know what you want? You’ll be happy with whatever you get.

Devin Reiss

Great food and service was amazing.

david webb

It's always a treat to visit Jack Spray. The food is good, service is great, and the beer is cold.

Jana Nalbandian

I have been meaning to write this review, my meal was on my birthday in July Pros: great service, and dessert Con: I ordered the bouillabaisse seafood stew. I have made this many times and eaten in other restaurants and I must say it was less than a one star at most. Broth tasted like tomato soup, with smal split snow crab and very little seafood and it cost $44. Mmmm...did not really taste the fennel, saffron or even a good seafood broth base, just tomato soup. I am now very hesitant in returning to this over priced restaurant.

Sandra Garrison

We checked out reviews before leaving home for our family Alaska vacation. There was 9 of us, we had no problem making reservations but did it months prior. Upon arrival our table was ready, the service was great, our waitress very nice and attentive. We ordered a variety of dishes including apps and drinks. There were no complaints. The presentation and flavor of each were wonderful. It's not your standard fare, as a little twist to most dishes that adds lots of flavor. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Chelsea Walling

A very unique menu, not the best location for a picky eater. Menu is costly but worth it. Our server was wonderful!

Auggie Flentje

Popular. Top staff. Veggies rock.

Tim Newton

Amazing yam fries for appetizers, and incredible olive oil chocolate cake for desert. In between those, the food is "interesting". I don't mean bad, but more like exotic. Just not an exotic I seem to like, and I've tried several dishes now. So, for my tastes, the entrees aren't greatly satisfying. But definitely at the high end on prices.

John Howell

Very cozy, great environment. Everything youd expect from a small restaurant in Girdwood. All their meals are made with high quality organic clean ingredients. Our waiter was very friendly and caring. There is a section where you can sit with a perfect view of the mountain with high windows which is beautiful. No background music, nice and quiet.

sonya heitshusen

Loved it! Everything on the menu looked extraordinary. Very fresh and innovative

Dave Jachym

Very cool small restaurant right on the base of the ski hill. Great dining room ambiance and the outside seating had great views. Menu was well thought out, regional in nature and well executed. The dining room and kitchen staffs professionalism and attention to detail really did shine through. Great place for an upscale casual meal.

Tanner Nidiffer

The vibe and atmosphere were lovely, and the service was great. The food was extraordinary. Highly recommend. Great vegetarian selection.

Russel Dudley

All the food we had was well made and the staff is friendly. Parking was the only downside

Steve Hill

Ok. Got ceasar salad with smoked salmon. Salmon was too dry and crumpled for my liking.

Aditi Partani

What a beautiful place and wonderful people. We just stopped there for coffee and found out that they have great creative options for food as well. Never had that coffee before in my life in the woods. This is a must go place

Klaus Bellinghausen

So far one of the best eateries in Alaska. Finally some delicious food. The boujabese was served with a tomato stock, local spin on it, great delicious fish and service. Lived it.

Chad Smith

Really good food and amazing service. Best food in Girdwood!

Claire Kaufman

Best restaurant in Alaska, in my humble opinion

Mediocore food high prices

joanne enriquez

Awesome environment, great service, and delicious food!

Joanne Dudgeon

It was awful. I got the duck and it was disgusting. Felt like it was still quacking. I was with a group of seven. Only two like their meals. Most meals were different choices. Service was wonderful. Too bad food wasn't. Sorry.

Micah Brown

Enjoyed the service, atmosphere, and had good appetizers (yam fries and mezze plate). Got the top ramen as main dish and was dissapointed. Broth was very salty and the noodles tasted starchy/mushy. Would return but get another main dish next time.

Crystal M

Amazing gluten free menu!!!

DABO

Nice location if you want to snowboard afterwards. Great breakfast food.

Pamela Little

Nice decor with lovely view of the mountains. Mocha creme brulee was delish

John Flatley

Way cool place with excellent service, delicious food (try the Bi Bim Bap!) and the host has a killer beard! We rolled in with 16 people on a Saturday for lunch. I'm guessing this happens all the time because it was like no big deal for them. Drinks were delivered fast and refreshed often and the food cane out without delay. Highly recommend the extra drive off the highway to eat here. If you are staying in Girdwood, do not miss the chance to eat at Jack's!

Nathan Largent

Nice meal. My server, Mara, was pleasant and efficient. I would recommend it for those seeking a nice evening out or for the family.

Nathan Queen

The vegan nachos, peanut noodles, yam fries, and cashew dream cake were EXCEPTIONAL! Beautiful location and very comfy inside. Also right down the street from Alyeska which was also a GREAT place that we stayed out during our trip! If you're in Alaska Jack Sprat is a must!

Angelina Aldridge

Their food is delicious and they took great care of all of our dietary necessities(we were a group of gluten, and dairy allergies and a vegan).

Mandi Ward

Wow! I was wondering if this was going to he good or over priced blah. The boyfriend ordered orinerib with king crab. He ate everything and was so pleased. I had the vegan special since I dont eat meat. It was beyond flavorful. Highly recommend the chocolate olive oil cake with a glass. red wine

Reverend Richard Haahr

Dishes were absolutely superb, and don't skip dessert here! I had made reservations in advance, they took some time getting back to me, but they are busy as can be. Make sure to plan ahead! I ordered the bibimbap, classic but something one could easily take note of. The house kimchi was outstanding, I would order that to take home if they had it in tubs, I'd probably even wipe tables for a few hours to get the recipe. I would go back, wonderful experience.

Dan Breen

This restaurant could hold its own in the most competitive major metropolitan restaurant markets in the world. The fact that it's at the bottom of an Alaskan ski hill in a town that cannot be bigger than a few thousand people makes the dining experience here that much better. The food is incredible. I hope to be back again before too long.

Jennifer Kilman

Food was good but overpriced and very small portions. Almost 50 bucks for a 4oz piece of salmon and 18 bucks for 3 scallops. King crab was miniature compared to any other place I have been. No liquor license. Would be a great place for a vegetarian eater however.

Edward Gutowski

Good food and atmosphere

Jeff White

My wife's steak was great but my entree was mediocre. Really liked the open kitchen. It was fun to watch their process.

Sherri Belluomini

We got reservations within 30 minutes of calling. Party of 7 and only 1 liked her meal. Portions were small and very pricey. Would not go there again.

David Rico

Excellent service. The place is always packed, but you don't feel crowded. The food is what you expect of it and more. Was about to give 4 stars, bit the Earl Grey creme brulee was killer

Brooke Bonner

Great dinner featuring local foods, warm and inviting interior, super nice service. Feels like we ate half the menu and it was all great. The standout were the yam fries appetizer - seriously, who knew something so simple could be so amazing! And the aioli!

Irina Dudina

Their latte with home made almond milk is the best I’ve ever tried (and I’ve tried a few around the world) I genuinely love Alaska and having brunch at Jack Spart on a cozy morning and glow over mountains - it’s the best! The food is great and staff is very nice.

Elizabeth Kiddle

I love this place! It always pushes me to try new tastes and flavors. We just went and had the classic yam fries, which are perfect for 4 adults, and they have a chocolate cake right now with mascarpone cheese that is to die for, worth every penny! My husband got a steak that was over done and the waiter was very gracious in having another one fired up for him that was medium rare. Couldn't tout this place enough. It's not cheap, but good food shouldn't be :)

Bryan Gennett

The only great thing about this place was the outdoor atmosphere. Okay service, expensive prices, small portion sizes. If you have lots of time give this place a try. If you want to be out in an hour, don’t bother. Our table of 2 wasn’t a priority.

Rick Kelly

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants. This is the place to go if you appreciate a great meal with a good selection of specials. I don't have a "go-to" meal here, because every single thing on the menu is what I seem to crave that day.

Sharon Pruszko

Continuously disappointed in this place both with service and quality of food. I go once a year to give the opportunity of redemption. The waitress forgot my husbands order (happened 2 other times here) and never asked him if he wanted another beer. I ordered the bouillabaisse, it was bland, lacked depth and Seafood overcooked. I would recommend just going for the appetizers and wine, as the Halibut ceviche was the highlight. *Update: Visited 5/1*

Jason Giroir

Excellent food, service was top notch

Jeremy Garcia

Came down to Girdwood for work for the afternoon with my boss and co-worker/ friend and ended up heading over to Jack Sprat for brunch . Man, what a great call. Just what we all needed after working out in the rain and being cold for a while. I'd the huevos rancheros and they even had fresh Serranos to add in,I love spicy breakfast foods ! It was the best huevos rancheros I've had in a really long time. They had good strong coffee as well and super friendly service. They also have many craft beers on tap and a great wine selection. Conveniently located near the resort right at the top of the hill in Girdwood. If you're in Girdwood and you want brunch lunch or breakfast I highly recommend Jack Sprat.

Charles M-H

Super fancy food, not a whole lot of options, and fairly pricy. The crab is awesome.

Vasiliy Palamarchuk

An exceptional restaurant! The atmosphere was cozy and warm. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. Ordered the ribeye and green salad, must say that it is among the tastiest meals I had, the green salad was delicious. If you have the opportunity it is worth your money.

Jessica Maves

Food was delicious, as always. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic evening or a ladies night out. I try to visit everyone I am in town. PS Bring back the hash for breakfast, please!

Rhett Paulson

Always fantastic food and great service

oasles .

Place is small, but has many unique food options. The best grub in Girdwood end of story,

Ali T

Fantastic place for family eats. Their sweet potato fries are to die for, and surprisingly their bibimbap is amazing too!

Hannah Wentz

We came here during off-season before dinner time and was told there would be a 2hr (outside) wait. There is no advertising that you need to make reservations here. The food is extremely expensive and not worth it, honestly. I'd rather drive the hour from Girdwood to Anchorage to eat something there. Maybe in-season, this place would be better.

SolarPatrol .

Mother flippin double dendro dippin! Eggs benadict was don megga delish

Ahmed Badri

Really 5 star restaurant. Very delicious food and so friendly staff. My advice is you have to reserve a table before you go there, science its so bz.

Jill Grogan

Great vegetarian options. Sweet potato fries are awesome!

W Williams

The service is great. My waitress was very nice and attentive. However, no matter how good the service it can't overcome bad food. Not wanting much I ordered the $15 ham and swiss panini. Ham is not the most expensive lunch meat and for the cost you'd expect a decent serving. When turning the sandwich on its side to view the cut edge the layer of ham was barely visible. Not only was there just enough meat to flavor the sandwich, it wasn't very tasty. The bread had been toasted hard which made the entire sandwich barely palatable. I know Alaska is expensive and the restaurant is in a tourist town but even for Alaska this was poor.

Rebecca Kopperud

One of my favorites in girdwood their yam fries are to die for!!!

Devyani Sharma

The hostess was very rude and racist.

Connor Reynolds

Well, they have vegan options. Not many, but it's better than none. A little expensive, but it's all about the experience. Beautiful decor and the view is amazing. The vegan meals we ordered both tasted exactly the same, one of them was just in burrito form. The rest of our party seemed to enjoy their crepes and chili. Will definitely be back in the spring to try Jack Sprat again.

AASMR LovelYY

I had the most top ramen and the noodles had a bad after taste and the egg was cooked backwards and it is also super loud and noisy and it seems that the service is slow

Andrew Repking

Sit down fancy meal, healthy and good.

Shalon Ridler

The ambiance, food, and service were top notch! The desserts were extremely delicious!!! (We were too excited about the dessert and forgot to take a photo)

Steven Mills

A dog is a man's best friend.

natalie drohde

Great restaurant! Vegan nachos were bomb! Wasn’t expecting so many vegetarian and vegan choices on menu. Wasn’t super hungry when we went so didn’t order an entree (mistake!). Haha Definitely check it out if you’re in Girdwood.

Xavier Orozco

Great place, service and food. The boillabase was excellent. The duck was good. Did not have that crispy skin you see at a traditional french cuisine place. That made it overall gelatinous in texture. A sauce to go with the duck would've also helped. The desserts were amazing. Oysters were good. My wife loved the bacon wrapped dates with blue cheese cream or mash. It was pretty delicious. Didn't have the two beers on the menu I wanted. Still it was an excellent experience with supreme service and overall I really recommend and would visit again.

Joanne Dudgeon

(We were too excited about the dessert and forgot to take a photo)

natalie drohde

Great restaurant! Vegan nachos were bomb! Wasn’t expecting so many vegetarian and vegan choices on menu. Wasn’t super hungry when we went so didn’t order an entree (mistake!). Haha Definitely check it out if you’re in Girdwood.

Anna Sluz

Went with a friend this late afternoon who raved about the place. Staff was friendly and was patient with our drink order and questions, but she disappeared after food was served until it was time for the check and she never asked how the main entrée was. Gnocchi appetizer was tasty and undersalted, but the pink table salt took care of that just fine. The Ramen noodles were undercooked, at least the ones sticking together were. I thought maybe they would keep cooking as I ate around the clumps, but it really did not improve. The egg was already cooked through when it landed at the table, so there was no stirring it around into the broth. The sprouts placed on top had soaked up all the fish oil (yucky, not umami), but were otherwise enjoyably crispy. The dominant flavor was chili hot, despite being told "we can take out the hot" and asking them to omit the chilli topping. First ingredient listed was a type of "citrus and umami soy flavor", but I really could not taste umami past the hot chili. This dish was also unexpectedly not salty. Table salt did not improve the dish. Maybe I deadened my salt taste buds from having added salt to the gnocchi. I would have asked for a bottle of Briggs, but...no wait staff.

Still it was an excellent experience with supreme service and overall I really recommend and would visit again.

srivathsan varadarajan

I was recommended this restaurant to celebrate my wedding anniversary and it lived up to its recommendation - delicious food (even for vegetarians), great service, and cozy ambience. Gem of a restaurant at Girdwood!

Sharon Toki-Coleman

Awesome food and drinks. Vegan selections on the menu were good

Emrah YILDIZ

I just ate my dishes here, it was wonderfull great amazing. I tasted the menu with friends nearly all the items, i liked it very much. I thanked the chef and I write to call everybody shall know him. Also thanks the other workers again and again.

Colin Martin

Excellent food and service, yam wedges were a hit.

B D

Enjoyed the smoked salmon pasta and the scallops! The wait staff was friendly.

Tim Jones

Absolutely delicious! I had the octopus and an Alaskan IPA for a fantastic lunch with a great view if the mountains.

Sierra Mills

Delicious and marvelous atmosphere!

Ursula Tooher

The best ever sweet potato fries

Terps Madison

Amazing blood Mary and food all around. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Truly enjoyed everything about here. Will return again.

אבנר אילנאי

If you are looking for a quiet and romantic restaurant this is not the place. The food is fine, service is good, but the atmosphere is noisy and noisy.

James Casey

I usually just review to mention the restaurant was shellfish allergy safe if you let them know. I had the ribeye and it was delicious.

Debra Cyphert

Very eclectic restaurant. Food is very gourmet and beautifully plated. Don't ask for any changes. What's on the menu is how it is served. This spice lover was a little disappointed. Our waitress was awesome. I'd go back to have coffee and dessert to just chat with her!

Johan Lantz

Quite ambitious place given its location. Food was well prepared at tasty, although portions are fairly small. Price definitely in the upper range. We had no reservation and had to wait for quite long - a pretty chaotic process as the headwaiter seems to have lost control.. Well inside, we got more attentive service.

Mr. Milquetoast

Jack Sprat is precisely the kind of posh(ish) place my dear companion and I like to try, but unfortunately I wasn't with her; I was with my silly little family, precisely the kind of people that do not like to try posh(ish) places like Jack Sprat. I dug the exterior patio, which features one big fire bowl for one lucky table to keep warm by / keep the bugs away by / keep their eyes dry by. I dug the interior, too, which was dimly lit and well decorated. I did not dig the latrine, however, which was decidedly not posh. It was a pot out of place like a fish out of water. My family was a fish out of water, too, sitting in this poshish restaurant (seated immediately, without a reservation), looking at the fancy menus, finding nothing to their fancy, wishing we'd gone to the burger joint instead. I was like a fish out of water as well, sitting with this family, looking at the same fancy menu and fancying almost everything. And I wanted a fish out of water on my plate, too, this being Alaska. Finally, our lovely waitress was a bit of a fish out of water. At first I (mis)took her for a Brit, but then her accent faltered and I mulled she was faking it for to further poshen up the place a little b(r)it. I am one to fake an accent myself and might have put her back in the water if I'd have had the stones. Alas, I did not. My family and I whispered about her. Where was she from? When I'm in character and somebody asks me where I'm from I either pull a place from my bum (e.g. "Dorshire") or I deftly defuse any faltering on my own part by providing some backstory about how I was raised between two worlds, i.e. in the UK and in “the states.” Lo and behold, what did the waitress say when one of our party inquired as to her origin story? She was torn between two worlds, born in Australia unto British parents! Would that my dear companion had been there, for she is wont to be Australian and I am wont to be British; quite a time we would have had with that quasi-posh waitress. Alas, I was not. I had half a mind to get the Octopus something-or-other and wasabi brussel sprouts, another half-mind for the Halibut; ultimately I opted to splurge on the Bouillabaisse, the likes of which I'd never had or heard of before. I immediately regretted my decision. Whatever it was, it was too much. And then it arrived. Whatever it was, it wasn't enough. You know how posh places are about portions. Looks deceived me, however, for in the end the Bouillabaisse turned out to be perfectly satisfying in concert with the side of kimchi I ordered (read: pickled things) and the extra bit of bread I received courtesy of my brother (PBC), something I needed to mop up the lovely soup juice at the bottom of my shallow bowl. If you don't know what Bouillabaisse is, it is a fish stew dish, in this case containing halibut, king crab, prawns, and scallops, all glued together in a fine sauce of perfect consistency. This was a truly delicious dish, and I enjoyed it despite my misgivings about the price and the portion size. I still didn't want to see my parents foot the bill, though, and we were vacationing in Alaska in part for Father's Day and my mother's birthday, so I footed the whole entire bill against their wishes. Our lovely accent-fluid waitress was helpful with this, refusing my father's advances because I'd got to her first. All said and done, for $130 we got the delightful Bouillabaisse, an exquisite Rib Eye dinner which fed both my mother and sister, Focaccia (read: poshish pizza) for PBC (along with infinity soda pops, of course), and a fresh salad for my father who for some reason (probably the price tag) didn't want an excellent Rib Eye for Father's Day. Anyway, we all ate well in the end, and I was actually happy to pay for dinner, even happier to treat my silly little fish of a family to a poshish place outside of its watery comfort zone. “Jack Sprat will eat not fat, and Jull doth love no leane. Yet betwixt them both they lick the dishes cleane.”

Gideon Crowell

Occasionally I will drive from Anchorage just to go here. Always worth it.

Matthew Cahill

Delicious, deliberately made. I savored every bite.

Jennifer Pittman

This is a great restaurant with a cozy ski lodge vibe. I had the duck breast medium rare and it was perfect! I love that they have local beers on tap as well as great wine. I love coming here when I’m in Girdwood as they never disappoint with the quality of food or service.

Spencer Fennell

There was a void in my life. A kind of void often unnoticed. In 1993 I came in to this world with what I come to realize was a empty slot. 25 years I had spent walking upon this planets surface, always looking up into the vast empty space we so casually call the night sky. Until one a day a force in the universe had caused me to look elsewhere. My gaze was ripped down from the night sky and drawn inward to the materials of what make up my niave soul. What I found was a vast endless space of nothing. This is how i imagine what the first human felt when there eyes first laid upon the ocean. The feeling of not just discovery but also enlightenment and dred. To come across something so incomprehensibly empty that has always been there unbeknownst to you. What could've cause this discovery of unfulfillment in my life? The most delicious YAM FRIES EVER!!!! I DOVE RIGHT INTO THOSE FRIES LIKE THE FIRST MIGHTY SAILORS OF OUR TIME! THEY CHARGED INTO OCEAN WITH THE WILL TO DISCOVER THE CORNERS OF THE EARTH JUST AS I I CHARGED INTO THE MOUNTIAN OF FRIES WITH THE WILL TO EAT EVERY LAST BITE! Also the bacon wrapped dates where pretty dope. 4/5 because there was no paper towels in the men's room.

Christina Kentros

Amazing vegetarian curry and carrot ginger soup. Great sangria not too sweet just right. Good selection of desserts. Will be coming back to try a latte with their homemade almond milk in the morning. Worth the bit of a wait.

Aleksandra Milosevska

A friend of mine recommended Jack Sprat for dinner and dang, the place did not disappoint! The place it self has a honey and rusty feel. The food was delicious, we had cesear salad and the dol sot bibimbap (they said they have had this dish on the menu for 17 years)! If you are in the area, it's definitely worth a stop!

Catherine Kenney

Wonderful! From the wine selection to the excellent service to the outrageous olive oil chocolate cake! The chef came out to visit and the wait staff were a team and helped complete the experience. This is a must in Girdwood.....

Kevin Furlong

Come in for a 5 dollar footlong

Adriana Pellegrini

Great ambiance, fantastic and creative take on recognizable dishes. Really enjoyed this place for my birthday lunch!

Michelle Dobbratz

Pretty good food, beautiful atmosphere, competent service

Val D

Great views. Food is really good. Service was a bit slow

Kristen Davis

Such a wonderful experience. We ordered the vegan nachos, steak and bibimbap and were impressed with all of it. Easy to find something on the menu to accommodate food sensitivities and allergies. Very pleased and quite possibly the best meal I’ve had in my 5+years in Alaska.

Dianne O'Meley

Great food and service.

Matthew Amundsen

Great food, great service! Worth the drive to Girdwood for sure!

David Weed

A 1/4 of the price of dinner last night at the neighboring 4 diamond rated joint, and so much better. Attentive service excellent gourmet food selections and the chef served the dishes and explained the flavors, sauces, and preparation technique. My next trip to Alaska will start and end with dinner here.

Phillip Flippo

We ordered several items including their house ramen, everything we ordered looked really nice, everything we tasted was pretty bland and in the case of the ramen, it literally tasted like water. I've been here a few times with different folks over the years and this was the worst it's ever been.

Theodore Booth

Pompous douches will feel welcome. I suggest anywhere else, but at least make a reservation regardless of the place having a wait or any patrons.

s spoo

This place is so overrated. Granted great food in the area isn’t easy to come by but this is solidly average at best by most standards. Given the cost it’s very underwhelming. From the bouillabaisse ($52 with added crab) to the bibimbap and noodle dishes all were mediocre.

Adam Crockett

Somewhat disappointed... Didn't open until 4:30. But... So worth the wait. Appetizers were fantastic. Dinner delicious. Natalie was on the spot with great service. We had "problems" we just wanted to melt away. Nathalie slowed things down and made everything smooth. Great views as well. We will be back soon. Thank you very much.

Antonio Roldan

Aran Skates

I hate to be negative but my experience here is so different than the reviews. For 21 dollars tge wife got a lukewarm half full bowl of oily soup that they call curry. Its cleverly disguised as healthy by adding a few shreds of carrot and some red quinoa. Lipstick on a pig. It doesnt even taste like curry and ive been all over southeast Asia. Truly not healthy and a waste of time and really overpriced. If this is "new American" cuisine id like an airplane ticket and a time machine. There are plenty of better places to eat in girdwood. Among those are the quick stop at the highway. You can buy a burrito and p uhh t it in the microwave and it will be better than this charade of a meal. Its the only dini g experience that left me mad and cheated. Next customer please. If youre serving this kind of food I really feel like youre just coasting at this point and relying on your glowing reputation. That wont last forever. I want to be clear. I'm posting this to let the management know that there are problems with the way you run your restaurant. I know its hard to serve food that doesnt rely on fat and salt and sugar for taste but this wouldnt fly in Thailand or Vietnam or Cambodia or for that matter wasilla. There ive said it. Ive had better curry in wasilla. Game over. I dont want to sou d like a pi$$ ant who likes to badmouth or whatever. I'm sure youre heart is in the right place and whatnot but this was an infuriating experience. I didnt drive back to girdwood and demand a refund. But I felt like it and I should have. My life would have been better if I had set those 21 dollars on fire and threw them out the window as I drive past girdwood. This was served 14 july at 6 pm. It ruined bastille day for me.

William Day

Easily the best value to quality restaurant in Alaska. Top notch, local, seasonal ingredients, and the atmosphere radiates Girdwood’s ski-town warmth. Do not pass up this dinner.

Raymond Collins

This place is phenomenal. The pad thai is great, lots of flavor. Bacon wrapped dates are always good, but they are extra good at Jack Sprat! The bouillabaisse was delicious as well! Definitely go here if driving from Anchorage to Seward, Girdwood is a cool little town. The Bake Shop up the street is also really good.

Sara Johnston

Worth the drive from Anchorage! Love so many things on their menu! Yam fries are a must (I often order a 2nd to go so I can eat more later) and on the dinner menu you CANNOT pass up the vegan nachos! So spicy and so delicious! As a vegan, finding delicious food when going out to eat is so hard... so time and time again, we find ourselves here, and are never disappointed.

benny

Great food and great service

sreehari v c

Delicious food, great ambience and courteous staff - that was a perfect lunch for us today here. We had the mezze plate for apps- it was magic. They added corn chips along with pita for our vegan friends. The mezza plate is highly suggested. For entrees, we had a smoked salmon pasta and halibut tacos( special of the day). I was so happy to see the salmon pasta in the menu( something I have been craving for a long time). My vegan friends had good options as well and they loved their food. We wrapped up with a creme brulee ( spicy chocolate) and a vegan cake. Both were yummy. Loved this place, staff took great care of us. I pinch myself for not having thanked the chef in person or asking the name of the person who took care of our group. Would highly recommend this place.

Roland Olsen

Great food and great service!

The Legend

Reminds me a lot of the goofball restaurants in Austin but this place is good! Really give it a shot. They had a fire roaring outside too. The Bibimbop, bloody mary, and vegan nachos were wonderful.

jamie lee

It was a super cute place! We stopped in for lunch on our way to seward. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The ambiance was lovely with the open windows that let in the sunlight. The music was also on point! We had the special salmon toast and the salmon salad caught fresh from the resurrection!

Josie J. Bailey

Lovely seasonal menu with very interesting variety. Fresh and modern. The chef needs a few more revisions in the composition of each dish to be truly world caliber. Staff is wonderfully friendly. Restrooms have changing tables.

Kristen O'Brien

We LOVED this cute, little off the beaten path restaurant! For our week long visit we went there twice and couldn’t get enough of the yam fries. So good! The whole experience was great and waiter was super nice and awesome.

bryan grella

Very good food with awesome view of the mountains.

Bruce Andrews

Good service and terrific food.

Daniel Santos

I'm so glad we stopped here. It was crowded and we had an Airbnb down the road, so I just ordered take-out. We got veggie ramen and bibimbap, which both traveled expectantly well. In fact, it was hands-down the best ramen I've had in Alaska. The broth is really what stood it apart, as it was full of umami and savory flavor. Other Asian restaurants have really let me down with their watery and bland ramen, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a great bowl at a New American restaurant in Girdwood! The atmosphere was awesome, and I wish we could have stayed to sit down. We'll be back to get the full experience soon!

Dan King

Waited for an hour... Menu had few choices and was expensive. Decided to leave and go to Chair 5 instead

Ksenia Gabrusevich

The food is gorgeous

Emily McCurley

Jack Sprat is a nice atmosphere with nice food and nice service. Good wine too. And such a nice area. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Luke Jones

Great food and atmosphere, seafood was phenomenal!

Chuck Bradley

If you like Gourmet "healthy" food, you will like it here a lot. If you're in the mood for a steak or Burger this is not the place. Meal for two with no alcohol plus tip $120. The wait staff was fantastic.

Eskimo Blood

Great food pretty pricey

oskar johansson-theiss

Awesome selection of foods, diverse menu that is always changing but has an option for everyone. Amazing vegetarian food, epic burgers and sea food, great apps and tapas. Multicultural food, great for families, groups, couples, and singles alike. Epic beer and wine selection with some local options as well. Reservations are highly recommended, as it can be very busy. Friendly staff and owners, great place for a meal in Girdwood!

Scott Pessetto

Bibimbap hits the spot.

bublehed gmail

Jack sprat is a great upscàle Girdwood restaurant. They have small unique menu . We had the smoked salmon past, ribeye, bouillabaisse, and shaved pork rice bowl. The meals were great and our server was awesome.

M M

Wonderful menu. I've had very positive and one horrible experience here. With a reservation, they sat 2 adults and 2 young children in a small room with a tour bus. The noise level was extreme, like a middle school lunch room. One of my children is autistic. We barely saw the server. Management was kind enough to respond to my complaint, but there was no resolution or suggestions about how to avoid the situation in the future. The evening was a nightmare. I would recommend leaving if seated with a tour bus. Update: Date of meal: 7/24/2018, 5pm We have not returned since. Please suggest a way to avoid this happening in the future. We were the only small table seated in a mind-crushingly loud room. Your server could barely shout loud enough to communicate, yet no one suggested moving us to a different table.

Craig Vodnik

Very nice food and an oasis in undiscovered Alaska. Higher end food and a nice outdoor space.

David Norwood

Pricey and they try too hard with food.

Víctor Enrique Morales Marval

Excellent service, excellent food! Its a Must in Alyeska.

Chelsea Spaulding

Very good, but I think it should have $$$ not $$

JanPogiMan

Tasty food.

Sue Krafft

Food was ok. Nothing special. Staff was very good.

Vikram Nilakantan

Great place for dinner in Alyeska. Appetizers are great for sharing

Hunter Jones

Consistently incredible service and wonderful food. Server was super attentive and patient. The tako sunomono is easily one of the best dishes I've had in town. Presentation was immaculate, with clear attention to detail in each dish. Wonderful ambience and beautiful scenery. Honestly can't say enough good things about you guys :)

Amazing food and drinks!

Brenna Dinkel

Absolutely amazing customer service options for every one local sourced ingredients great food and good atmosphere my favorite restaurant in Alaska! It’s always an amazing treat to come here Thank you so much!

Ed & Cindy Biesecker

First-time visitors. Love the atmosphere, the yam fries & aioli sauce & scallop appetizers were delish, as was the ribeye steak, cooked perfectly medium rare, but our group didn't care for the steak sauce served over the potatoes, with the steak placed on top. We thought too tart and overpowering. Next time I would ask to omit the sauce or serve on the side. We each tried different desserts & all were home runs! Overall, a great experience. We will return.

Amazing food and real people. Comfort surrounded by mountains. Intimate Delicacy.

milo eakins

the food is always great tasting and so close to the slopes. the ambiance is welcoming and friendly.

Wr Foster

Not impressed with the food or service.

Daniel de Waard

Was told it would be a 30 min wait and ended up waiting around 1 hour and 20 minutes which was disappointing as we had places to be and felt as though we had been misled. HOWEVER, It was well worth the wait. The salmon pasta was absolutely the stand put meal from our trip to Alaska and the desserts were on point!

Sylvia S

Food looks better on the menu that it actually is. All of our plates were on the oily/buttery side and in my opinion plates were overdone with more ingredients than necessary. I know food is more expensive here, but even taking that into consideration food was not that special to merit the steep prices. Good selection of local beer and attentive service

S. Y

Fusion food with Japanese Ramen and Korean Bibimbap and many choices of Western cuisine. Great service and cosy place.

Tso Pigu

Were they open during their published business hours, I don't remember. I wanted to visit but they were closed. But I thought they were open. Maybe somebody need to update the actual hours.

Leo P

I recommend the salmon!

Bekki Weaver

I heard that it was great, but I was underwhelmed. The hummus plate was good, as were the cucumbers on the octopus appetizer. I ordered a steak and ceasar salad both were just ok. If you're in Girdwood and want fine dining skip this one and go to Seven Glaciers where you won't be disappointed.
