I'm so bummed I didn't find this place until my last day in Anchorage. The food was amazing, and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend the oysters and seafood jambalaya. Good sized bar with a standard selection of beer, wine, and spirits. I very much enjoyed my visit here and this place will be top of my list when I return.

My wife and I had our New Year's Eve dinner there and it was easily one of the best meals I've had in Anchorage. Their wait staff is the nicest and most helpful out of anyone, and the food is superb. Also, they have a great drink selection. We will definitely be back!

Haute Quarter Grill is an amazing dining experience that blows all other upscale Anchorage restaurants out of the water! Great service comes from the well-trained staff and adequately amount staff, everyone was quick and pleasant. The menu has a simple handful of appetizers and entrees but the small selection shows each dish is masterfully crafted. I've yet to find better calamari in town! Enough can't be said about the prime rib, which is covered in a Creole seafood sauce. To. Die. For! The bar has a decent selection of local draft beers, and a modest but well chosen selection of spirits. The fact that Bartertown Kentucky Bourbon was on the shelf impressed me and I'm always pleased to see Mr. Remy Martin amongst the cognac selections. Do make sure to book ahead of time! I showed up at opening and had to opt for bar seating instead of a table (however the squishy stools made my stay comfortable). Haute Quarter Grill is definitely a placed not to be missed!

This is an excellent restaurant to get some fresh seafood or steaks. It's a casual environment with elevated cuisine. If you're lucky enough to sit near the back of the dining room, you'll see the chefs in action. No surprise that the menu offers the freshest catch of the season; I had some pretty good halibut here. It's hard to pass up seafood, but their prime rib did not disappoint either. They leave more fat around the edges of their steaks than your average steakhouse would, but the crust and juiciness were beyond incredible. To round out your dining experience, they have quite a few tasty appetizers and unique cocktails. Good luck if you plan on having room for dessert. All-around, Haute Quarter Grill is an excellent place to dine in downtown Anchorage.

Hubs had the Saturday steak special (filet mignon), and said it was the best steak he has had in two years. It is a smaller restaurant, so make reservations unless you will arrive as soon as they open.

We usually hit another local high-end restaurant but heard we HAD to have the Old Fashioned at Haute Quarter so we gave it a try. The drink was excellent, and just a start to the fantastic meal. I had the scallops and they were cooked to perfection. Service was impeccable. This place is NOT cheap, so be prepared to pay, but nothing disappointed.

The hostess had a very snobby attitude and acted like she was doing us a favor by eventually getting us a table. One of our dishes was ordered medium rare. The beef came cold and dark red raw in the center. When I complained, the waitress was rude and lied by explained, as if I were a child and not 48, that they do what is called a "true medium rare". No kidding! Apparently they can have a different medium rare than every other restaurant. Be wary of how you order. Not worth the money or belittling attitude.

I have never been disappointed with food, service, or price. This is often one of my "go to" places downtown. I recently met a friend there on a Friday night. I guess we had a lot to catch up on because 5 hours later, tucked into a cozy corner all by ourselves, I realized we were the only ones left in the restaurant. Not sure where the time went but when I realized we had been there an hour past close I was shocked that no one had come by to ask us to leave. I realize this was probably quite annoying for the staff that was left with us as they have family and plans outside of work, but we really had no idea what time it was; just got lost in conversation, and didn't notice everyone around us leaving. We apologized for hanging out so long and didn't in the slightest way feel like an inconvenience to the staff. This is the kind of customer service I expect in a restaurant but rarely find in AK. Well done Haute Quarter!

Since moving to downtown Anchorage from Eagle River, Haute Quarter has found its footing, providing great specials and a spicer, more exciting menu than the majority of downtown fine dining restaurants. We have been several times - sometimes even bringing a last-minute group of people with us- and been treated GREAT, with great service, and great food. We have been to every single restaurant in Anchorage (we even try to catch the little ones that don't last more than a couple months) and most of them in Fairbanks, Girdwood, and Kenai. This restaurant stands out and has earned our repeat business. Haute Quarter is highly recommended.

Wow, We hadn't been there in a while. It was some of the best food we have had since the last time we were there. Great service and atmosphere. We both had steaks, the blackened prime rib was great. The special fillet was amazing. The Halibut appetizer may be the best around. We have been disappointed by most of our regular places we have been going to for years they all have been just getting down to average or less so not returning to those places for a long while. We are looking for great places to become the new go to amazing places to enjoy the food and service. The Haute Quarter Grill has that amazing food that we want when we go out. The prices are near the top end so we will not eat out as often but will know that we will be happy to spend the extra for the amazing experience. You will have to have reservations to have a table. The bar area has limited seating as first come first serve. If there is a concert or other fun to do things downtown then you will need to make reservations well in advance.

This is and has been our absolute favorite place to eat since they were in Eagle River. Everything is delicious!! If I had a complaint, I wish they would bring back their original steamed clams. But we go to Table 6 for their steamed clams, which I enjoy. I just prefer the atmosphere and wine glasses at the grill. Wine glasses really make a difference:)!

No no no no no. As one of the downtown Anchorage newbies, I was hoping for something spectacular but was left thinking that this restaurant was no different then the rest. Looks the same, tastes the same, blah blah blah...ho hum. Pick & choose from one of many "fine-dining" downtown, they all have the EXACT same cuisine, boring & bland. Fine-dining in Anchorage ceases to exist.

Stopped in for appetizers and the halibut chunks were great. The fries are stringy and served with a weird banana ketchup and a five alarm hot ketchup. Just give me streak fries with tater please.

I loved my experience here! Expensive but worth it. Highly recommend an old fashioned with the blackened prime rib. The beignets weren’t as good as Cafe Su Mondé, but then what is? My only quibble - I’m a large guy, so the booth seating was uncomfortable. Tables are bolted so you can move them any.

I wouldn't let one bad person ruin an obviously good place. As a contractor I eat out alot. This is hands down one of my favorite places to go. I show up early as the crowds are less and the service staff hasn't been beat up yet. This is a good rule for anyone eating at any of those places.

This is and has been our absolute favorite place to eat since they were in Eagle River. Everything is delicious!! If I had a complaint, I wish they would bring back their original steamed clams. But we go to Table 6 for their steamed clams, which I enjoy. I just prefer the atmosphere and wine glasses at the grill. Wine glasses really make a difference:)!

No no no no no. As one of the downtown Anchorage newbies, I was hoping for something spectacular but was left thinking that this restaurant was no different then the rest. Looks the same, tastes the same, blah blah blah...ho hum. Pick & choose from one of many "fine-dining" downtown, they all have the EXACT same cuisine, boring & bland. Fine-dining in Anchorage ceases to exist.

Lovely dinner our first night on vacation. Met some friends and had a great dinner - started with the cheese platter, I had the kebabs, someone had the seafood pasta, another had a steak - everyone was very happy. We shared beignets and peanut butter pie for dessert, both were terrific. Would definitely go again!

Great food, entrees on the expensive side. We ordered the halibut which was great and the tuna appetizer which was good. Surprisingly the server told us they didn't have salmon. The fries with the spicy ketchup was good too.

The Home2suites is a newer hotel. My room was a large room with a full size refrigerator, large microwave, full size dishwasher, small two cup coffee maker, toaster and dishes for 4. The bed was a queen and particularity soft and comfortable. The tv is about 40 inch flat screen and they have Dish TV.
