I was expecting a lot more to be honest. It was incredibly busy, but they couldn't give us a proper time until seating. After being helpful and apologetic to us, they got us a spot. The waiting staff were definitely overworked, not nearly enough for the massive crowd they received. Appraisers were fast and decent. But then we waited nearly an hour for our entrees. The staff apologized and gave us a free dish for the wait. When the dishes came out, we were incredibly disappointed. It was almost pre-prepared and with little to no attention. It was cold and bland. Again, I would have maybe tried again, but the salad bar, and the Alfredo? I don't think I can. Best redeeming quality was the wait staff, you all need a commendation.

My party and I received fantastic service and delicious food. The mixed cocktails were A+. Great job bartender! The food came within reasonable time, tasted great and the bread was great*I read reviews on how it was dry but none of us suffered that* Looses only a star due to price. Some things deserve a higher price, but coming for simply pasta between 2 people and charging nearly 100 is a bit steep. I feel some of the prices need to lower. All in all we where pleased but I am unsure if I would return mainly due to costs. If I am going to spend that much money it may as well be at a few other restaurants that have food that reflects that price.

Our family was visiting for 3 days. Hadn't been in years. Yet they never seem to surprise me. We were a table of 12 on a weekend. The girl was sweet on so many levels. One she stood on a chair to get a good family photo. Two she was very patient. Three she made sure none of our cups were low.

Food was good no complaints, service was awful we waited 15 minutes just to be asked for drinks totally forgotten about. Had to go to the bar to get refills came back mid meal to my food already boxed up? Didn’t ask if I was finished or anything extremely rude. Boxed up my child’s food when she was done didn’t ask my wife at all. We were also planning to order a desert and he didn’t mention or ask and just brought our receipt. The receipt was ran as a party of 7 when there was 3 of us and not even 7 seats at our table and we were CHARGED a tip this guy did NOT deserve. Unfortunately this ruined my experience here and probably won’t come back. By the way we were polite and not rude in ANY way what so ever the entire time.

Ate here with a big group of friends, and all of us mentioned that everything we ordered did not taste good other than my friends French onion soup. All the food didn’t have enough flavor, was extremely bland, and super overpriced for what we received. The waiter barely checked on us, took a long time and it wasn’t even that busy when we got there, and it took a long time to get someone to get our checks when we were done. The waitress was nice, but the rest of the experience was not a pleasant one. I wouldn’t eat here again.

Although the service is really good. My party and myself all agreed, the food is not that great. I had the veal parmesan. It was prepared in a very unconventional way. I guess you could say the food doesn't meet the paradyme of what you would expect.

This 3 star is not because the food was bad. My friend and I walked over for a quick dinner, having never eaten there we decided to give it a try. We sat down to order and were amazed at how expensive the food was! We decided to stay and just order a pizza and were still amazed that it cost 22 dollars for a small pepperoni pizza. We would not come back here strictly because of the prices. The food was good but not worth what we paid.

Look elsewhere for good Italian food. We were there over two hours and watched other tables come and go. Salads were gone before first soup came. That was gone before second bowl arrived. We were spending couple days in Fairbanks and were looking for something else than Thai food. We were not very impressed in Geraldo’s. Our waitress was kind, but the food was so-so. It did not feel fresh (for example the mushroom), my fish was a bit tasteless and the lasagne had way too much tomato sauce on it. Overall I would give 3 for the place.

Terrible service and menu is why over priced. Will not return. We were seated quickly and got drinks (soda). But that's it. 15 mins went by and the server never came back. We finally waved the waitress down just for her to tell us the bar tender would be our waitress. We waited a few more mins. We took a few sips from our drinks and they made us pay 9 dollars for 3 soda's. Will not be returning or recommending this place.

This place has good food. My wife got the Rib eye and I got a Pizza. They were both very good. The interior of the restaurant was very nice, and my wife loved the wine. The menu has a nice selection of different types of food and they have a large wine menu. I didn't give it 5 stars due to the long wait. Overall great food and a good atmosphere.

Great experience and the prices were really good, very nice atmospere. There is a bar, but is a separate dining area for families. Food was also great! It did take about 30 minutes for our order, but like I said the food is very good.

Tasted like they forgot to add the Parmesan cheese and was more like a bland white gravy served over biscuits at a free breakfast.

A bug in my wine glass, no compensation. The smallest serving of shrimp scampi I’ve ever seen, five pieces of shrimp. Cold garlic bread came out after we were done eating. A pathetic salad bar. Slow service. I will never eat here again. I was embarrassed to bring family from out of town. Why can’t I rate zero stars?

Service was about the only thing we can say was good about our visit. The wait staff was friendly and took our order in a timely fashion. When they brought out our appetizer, the French onion soup was tepid at best; the cheese sticks over cooked on the outside and not even a hint of being melted on the inside. After sending it back, they came out warmer but I wouldn't call them hot in the least. the main course, Cajun Alfredo with chicken, came out hot...we could see the steam coming off of it. The first taste was massive disappointment. The Alfredo sauce was pasty and flavorless... although we could tell pepper had been added to make it "Cajun". Very disappointed. If you are looking for a hot flavorful meal, look elsewhere.

The only good thing about this place is that the drinks came out fairly quickly. Otherwise, the service is horrible. The servers leave you in the dark about your food. We've waited over an hour for appetizers! Definitely not coming again.

It was our first time ever going here and we will NOT return. We arrived before they opened for dinner so we were the first ones seated. After us a larger party of maybe 10 and other smaller parties followed. We ordered the home made cheese garlic bread and you would think being the very first customers and right when they opened everything would be nice and hot but it wasn’t. The bread was clearly reheated from the previous shift as it was luke warm and soggy. The waitress was not friendly at all and instead of taking out order once we had decided the gentleman that sat us had to go get her to take our order. Once we did get our food again it was luke warm and when I asked if the dinner I was going to get if it was pretty hot as in spicy she said not much at all no. It was extremely Spicy but since it’s pretty expensive I ate it and we left. Bad restaurant and not good service at all. I’d rather just not have Italian in Fairbanks period if that’s my choice.

Waiter didn't know anything about the wines. A single beer took much longer than it should have to come out and was warm. ~40 min later our food came out and wasn't the best tasting. What's worse, i spent the rest of the night well into morning vomiting it all back up due to food poisoning. I would not recommend this place to anyone. On a good note, other than the lack of wine knowledge the waiter did seem to do his best to reassure us the food was coming. But without the rest of the staff to support him it didn't help much. Beware

While service was polite the food was awful. I had the eggplant parm and my husband had the scampi . The pasta was old , cold and sticky with little to no flavor . The eggplant had an onion. And mushroom gravy of sorts - and the was very greasy . Oil was likely ol that it was cooked in. I ate about 4-5 bites and left the restz. The server just took my plate without even asking how it was or if I wanted a box to take home.... they must be used to folks not eating their food . Do NOT recommend !!!

My wife loved her Alfredo. My steak tasted like a pound of salt. I didn't complain but when I didn't box it up they took it off the bill. Daughter had some great pizza. Great service Alfredo and pizza but stay away from the steak drizzled in their haha

Service was horrible, salad bar had half the stuff missing, appetizer was cold manager confirmed it was cold offer to make it again or remove from bill. The server talk at us like we were uneducated, after an hour waiting for the food it finally started to come out, whole order was wrong, returned the food another 15 minutes later it came out again, had weird tastes, want really good don't complete any of it, my calzone was undercooked and had raw dough, it all looked good but taste horrible... One place I'll never return to.. to some they may have a horrible experience as I did and to some you may enjoy or even have the best experience. This was just mine and my families..

Geraldos is kind of eh. Their restaurant is visually appealing, their thin pizza crust is awesome, and their beer menu is top tier! Anything else is bad. Today, I got the basic spaghetti and meatballs and it was a solid .5 out of 5. The sauce was more garlic and onion than it was the taste of tomato, the meatballs were definitely bought at store and had no spices what so ever on them. The order came with a strange zucchini salad that didn’t taste bad but was just a little strange. Geraldo’s is incredibly expensive and the quality doesn’t come anywhere near.

Called about a door dash order and why the restaurant was taking so long to fill the order as it's been over an hour. The Asian lady who answered the phone was rude and argued with me when I explained to her what my order from online said claiming that I was wrong (felt like she was calling me a liar) then she hung up on me.

I used to give this place 5 stars when we lived up here several years ago. However, after coming back after a 3 year move, I am very sad to say that it's 1 star, maybe 2 on a good day. We've went 3x now since moving back in the hopes that it was a fluke but no such luck. The prices have drastically went up (not just Alaska high), the portions have shrunk by half and the quality of food is sub-par at best now. Pizza is still good. I'll give them that but the rest of it- lacking any flavor except for ridiculous amounts of black pepper and onion. Which I love but this is overboard! And for somewhere that boasts about its garlic loving- it's no where to be seen. I am so disappointed. This used to be the only place in town to get good old school east coast Italian, but it no longer can make that claim. As for service, it is super slow but the wait staff is nice and helpful and tries to do their best. We still tipped 18% on our last try just because she was trying her hardest to cover multiple tables and it isn't her fault the food has become mediocre cafeteria Italian food. Renovations look nice, the addition is beautiful but they won't make me come back again. 3 strikes you're out.

The staff was super amazing and the atmosphere was very nice. Service was very quick and done right the first time. Love the home made garlic bread. I had read that the French onion soup was one of the best things on the menu, to me it was good, but not outstanding. The goodfella pizza was a hit though, lots of great flavors that really worked together. The creme brulee was also good, very creamy and rich, the highlight was having the sugar torched in front of us at our table. For a good, quick and reasonable dinner I would recommend Geraldo's in Fairbanks.

Currently still here. It’s been 1.5 hrs since we arrived. Food still isn’t ready, other tables seated after us are getting served before us. My water glass has been taking an average of 15.2 minutes to get filled, yes we’ve been here long enough where I’ve been able to take 3 samples of empty to filled. We’re about to leave and get gapco. Please don’t come here.

Stopped here for lunch on a whim. Everything we had was excellent - my wife had the stuffed shells, and my buddy and I split the Leaving Tower of Pizza. It was all top-notch, and you could tell they care what people think of their food, even down to the coffee. If you're ever in Fairbanks, give this place a shot - you won't be disappointed!

The service wasn't all that great I think they are short staffed or something. The food was over priced for small quantities and didn't taste all that great. They have a small selection of draft beer but a bunch of bottles. The atmosphere is nice and you can sit outside if you want to. It also smells amazing.

I took the pizza home it smelled bad I think it was the cheese they used. Seated in a weird area this restaurant has a table with couches which was odd. They had plenty of other tables. If you want a hot pizza for a decent price you may as well go to costco. They advertise as the best pizza rated by some magazine I think it may have been the case in the 80s-90s when they first opened up.

I've had better chicken in an MRE, the garlic bread was cold and chewy, had cold noodles, and tough veal. Only reason we wanted a to go box was to give it a proper burial.
