The food is good, but as good as anywhere else, and the service has been good everytime we go. But the food takes forever to arrive. A few times when it's busy it's understandable, but we went last night and the restaurant was pretty dead (less than 1/4 full including people at the bar), and it took 30 min to get 2 sandwiches and a side of potato wedges. Also, I hate that they say french fries and bring out potato wedges, complete disappointment.

Rude ,rushing and had the most stank attitude witch was funny cause when I came in I see fir others she didn’t stop smiling but when it came to my African-American family the level of professionalism Went out the window and y’all dint deserve this one start Service was terrible me and my family will never be back !!!

On the plus side, there is a nice variety of food options from salads and sandwiches, to pizza and corn fritters. Some items on the menu are better than others, some taste rather generic and seems like they pulled it out of a freezer, nuked it, and said enjoy! My suggestion, good spot for a beer and to order some appetizers -plenty of TVs to catch some sports.

Really good! One of my new favorites, it can get pretty crowded in there but that's not much of an issue for most people. The food was fantastic and did not take a long time despite how busy it was. Small but decent list of mixed drinks available. Our waitress was friendly and on point, in addition she offered good advice on our drink selection.

Just left Fire Tap after sitting in lobu for 20 min the front guy said he had to clean off tables 1st there were a ton of tables open left my family and I sitting there now with only 40 mins to our movie we cant even go enjoy a nice meal. Stay away I know I will from here on out.

Food is great and really deserves 5 stars, but the service deserves zero stars. Very slow, waitress will barely visit you. They messed up our order and tried to over charge us. We asked for ONE order of sliders but asked if 2 could be burgers and 1 sausage. Our waitress misunderstood and brought us 3 different orders of sliders. Then when I corrected this with her she still misunderstood and ended up charging us for 2....we only wanted 1! On top of this they tried overcharging us on an happy hour appetizer. We were able to fix that but the waitress was rude about it. This seems to be an ongoing problem at both locations because we caught an overcharge on an appetizer more than once. We won't be returning. I don't have time or patients to check everything on the tab to make sure it's the correct price.

Ended up coming here to blow some time before a movie, was pleasantly surprised by the drink choices and appetizers. Their pretzels are great and their drinks aren't too expensive. Got their "otter pop" drink and it was delicious. Runs about 9 dollars for a mixed drink here.

It's been a while since we've been here - or to the other Firetap in Anchorage. First, I've got to RAVE about Ben, our server. He was affable, congenial, humorous and fun. And he made some good suggestions when asked. We (my wife and I) both liked him very much. Ben suggested a Pablano Cheddar soup - the soup of the day. I'm all for trying new and different and was ecstatic that he suggested it. It was terrific. My wife like her taste of it too. And I ordered a beer (that took a while to get to the table) and my wife ordered a diet coke - which, along with water for each of us, was there in a jiffy. And Ben refilled her coke spot-on. Then we ordered a Ham and Cheese Pretzel - we've had them before, and a Mac-n-Cheese. Both were ordered to split. Again, Ben got on it and the sandwich was delivered in halves, already on two plates for us. WOW! And he upsold us on some fries - which were a good accompaniment. The pretzel was excellent, as usual, and we both wolfed our halves down. The Mac-n-Cheese was a bit disappointing from our memory. It was plenty hot, and looked excellent. But we think they might have changed from Medium or Sharp Cheddar to mild - or, perish the thought, canned American 'cheese product.' It was perfectly cooked but very flat on flavor; it was bland. All in all, a good meal with some great and s bit of not quite as great to it. And we'll go back again when we're in Anchorage. And hope that we'll enjoy the pleasure of Ben again.

We were the first and only patrons in the entire restaurant, the host led us to a booth that was completely worn down. Granted, every booth and table I could see has suffered a great deal of wear but the one we were placed at was worn completely through the vinyl to the fibers. The bathroom, upon opening of the restaurant mind you, was disgusting. I ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo and it arrived absolutely swimming in sauce. Really, so much sauce that it was more like a soup than a pasta dish. I was completely and severely disappointed.

Decent food..... Loooooong wait in between sitting down, drink order and food order. The people who came in after us got served drinks AND food before us. We got our food before the party that was there when we were seated. But, my food (beef and cheddar twist w/salad) was hot and fresh and tasty. Husband liked his Patty melt, although he thought it had too many onions. He does not like onions, Patty melts have onions and he didn't say NO onions, so that's on him. He still ate it. Also- took the beggars purse home for dessert, because there is no way I'm passing up chocolate baked in phylo dough. SO! If you can forgive substandard service ( which may have been a fluke) the food was more than decent :)

Although the food is decent, im not sure how likely I am to return. The food and the condition of the restaurant do not reflect the same thing. From the front door everything looked fine. It wasnt until we were being seated that I noticed the poor condition of the restaurant. Portions of the floor are coming up (I would've thought it was a design if it was the same all throughout). Most, if not all, of the booth seats are peeled. How can you disinfect the seat when you can see/touch the fabric? The glass divider has dry finger smudges, as if its never been cleaned before. I also found dust/other particles on the divider under the glass.You'd think they'd worry more about appearance for the prices they charge on food. If I was to rate only the food, they would definitely have a higher star rating but after seeing the condition of the restaurant it makes you wonder how kept/clean the kitchen must be.

Went with my family a few months ago. It was lunchtime and probably 3-4 other booths were occupied, but it was practically empty. We waited at least 15 minutes before getting our drink order, or greeted by our waitress. That didn't bother me, as I figured she was wrapping something up, but we waited a good 45 minutes before our food came, and she didn't stop by our table once in that time, to explain why it was taking so long, or refill our drinks, or just check in. When she finally brought out the food it was only half of our order, so half of my family had to watch as the other half ate for another 15-20 minutes. Then when the other orders came out, they got forgot our appetizer (yeah our appetizers came out the same time as our food), she offered to fix it, but said that it would take a second as they were in the middle of a shift change, and we would be getting a new waitress. We told her we didn't have another 45 minutes to wait, she didn't apologize, but she did offer to cancel the charge on the potato skins we didn't get... thanks? The entire time we waited we could see her hanging out with the bartender and laughing with her coworkers.The food is pretty good, but it is expensive, and the service is so bad it wouldn't have mattered if the food was amazing. We will not be back, and we will not be recommending.

The "tomato basil soup" was really some chef boyardee ravioli nonsense, texture was more paste than soup. Totally not what we had in mind when ordering. The chicken salad pretzel sandwich was terrible. Had mayo smeared across the top (for "presentation," maybe?) so you couldn't pick it up without getting your hands all goopy. The chicken salad inside was just chunks of flavorless chicken mixed with tons more mayo. Not good at all. Our beers tasted a bit off, like the tap lines were skunked. The kids' menu burger was actually pretty good though (much larger than most), as was the pretzel beef & cheddar sandwich. Service was great. But overall, it was just Sysco pre-fab stuff, nothing special. Recommend skipping it.

We enjoy both Firetap locations. The service and atmosphere at the Tikahtnu location seems to be superior. Much friendlier staff who seem to pay more attention and engage customers with warmth. Parking is also better. Great place to dine or grab a cocktail before or after a movie. Hope to get a chance to participate in paint night soon! Nice addition!

I have never been impressed with the food here, but this visit was worse than most. Trash on the floor, tables not bused. Bathroom needed attention. Dining room tables disorganized and chairs scattered. The guests were all seated in a very small section by the door, too many staff huddled at the far side of the room while the one waitress working the floor tended the clump of guests. It was weird at best. I was questioning why we pick this for our late dinner.

The food is really good. We went on a Friday night and didn't have any problems finding a table around 830. We are big fans of the hummus plate. The tomatoes, cucumber, olives, and feta cheese are all fresh. You get a ton of pita pieces for the hummus. We also found we liked the chicken salad as well. Our friends got the nachos and it was a massive plate of nachos. Really good tasting and fully loaded. The pretzel sandwiches are legit. They are HUGE. The menus says you can share them and that is no lie. Corn fritters and honey butter were really good too. Really the only reason I didn't give five stars is because the prices are a little steeper than you'd expect for a sports bar atmosphere. TVs are all around with a good variety of sports on them. But the sports bar feel makes it seem like the prices are a little steep. Really good food though.

This evening my friend and I (who I haven't seen in a VERY long time) wanted to have a yummy tasting dinner and relax as we got caught up. We arrived at Firetap at 5:30pm and got a wonderful booth right away. We ordered our delicious cocktails and they were brought to us from the Manager, Danny (SHE IS AWESOME WITH THE ABSOLUTE BEST PERSONALITY...and singing voice)!! I hadn't seen Danny in about a year or longer (that's sadly how long it had been since I had last dined at Firetap) and she remembered me right away. She was so upbeat and jovial and she said "I was just thinking of you", due to our conversation regarding real estate and the journey of becoming a realtor. I jumped up and she gave me a hug. What a great memory Danny has AND she made me feel so appreciated as a customer. We had the absolute best service, the food was excellent which means the chefs take pride in their job and we never felt rushed at all even though we camped out at our table from 5:30pm until after 9:30pm. Our server was Alexandria and Danny brought us our cocktails. We had the yummy crab and artichoke dip with the low carb chicken dish and a steak burger, the scratch margaritas were delicious too! Thank you to Danny, Alexandria, and cooking staff for a wonderful evening with superior service, most delicious food, relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, where my dear friend and I felt welcomed, appreciated as customers and not rushed at all.

Just had a late dinner here on a Saturday night. I was surprised that at 8:00 on a Saturday night the house was maybe at 20% full. Maybe this is in part a reflection of the state of Alaska's economy, but during what should be the establishment's peak hour, the small crowd might not bode well for this eatery. Still, my experience was very positive. After asking about a few of their draft beers from an impressive beer menu, I was offered a couple of samples, from which I chose the brew i preferred. My dish of a philly cheese steak and my wife's chicken pot pie was served promptly and hot. We both enjoyed our meals. Neither of us were able to finish our dish because of the generous serving sizes. When the ticket came I was surprised at how inexpensive the meal was. With great service and good food, I hope this place survives so that we can visit again.

It has come to my attention that 1 if not more employees have been charging full price for appetizers on Fridays, when they are supposed to be half off. Then pocketing the difference. This is theft and should be delt with. Who knows how long this has been going on for. I have proof and I intend on contacting management at a later time.

The beef and cheddar on a pretzel roll was delicious and the salad was a really good blend of leafy greens and tomatoes with cucumbers. The wait staff was really engaged and very nice. They also offer a military discount. The bar offers a nice selection of beers on tap and a large selection of wine as well.

Good food, terrible service. Was seated almost immediately and then waited for 20 minutes before someone even acknowledged us. This only happened because I asked the host to find out who our waiter was. Then the waiter forgot my drink. After our food was brought, we were promptly ignored again for the entirety of our visit, while wait staff stood around the NBA finals. The next acknowledgment was when they brought our bill.... I could understand this if the restaurant was busy although it would be nice to at least be acknowledged. However, the wait staff to customer ratio was nowhere close to explaining this.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My family and I are new to the area and wanted to try a local restaurant near our new home instead of the chain restaurants we’ve eaten at so many times. Upon walking in the restaurant had a nice quaint feel. Not crowded. The food looked amazing. Excited to try something new was quickly diminished after being seated by the hostess who had no customer service skills what so ever we sat there for 10 mins with a complete disregard of our presence. The servers walked past multiple times without a single acknowledgement. A single, “Hello, I’ll be right with you.” would have sufficed. Instead we were passed by multiple servers without a peep. Let me mention again the place was not crowded. Please do your fine establishment a favor and take the time to acknowledge customers newly seated instead of passing them by. Thank you for the disappointment my family and I were looking to trying the food, sadly that will never happen.

I ordered a house salad with blackened chicken, but the chicken was fajita flavored chicken. My colleagues ordered pizza and the toppings were just thrown on top of the pizza or in the ground beef case...it was so much that it looked like a taco salad. Was hoping it to be better.

I DO however recommend the happy hour times (3-6 PM & after 9pm as of 9/8) for discounted food, appetizers, drinks and beer (e.g. 3$ mystery points of beer , 9/18). Very clean and well staffed... just nothing too special about this place.

Amazing portions of really good food at a very affordable price. The giant chocolate chip cookie and ice cream is to die for. The staff is really great also. Starting the 30th of November, they will be having a 20% military discount which is awesome.

We came for a late Saturday dinner, around 9:30 p.m., after seeing a movie. Our food was fantastic - superb burgers with great fries - and our server was friendly and helpful. At that hour the place was uncrowded, with only a few other tables occupied. There aren't too many choices for sit-down dining on the Eastside after nine p.m., even on a Saturday, so Firetap got our business by being open long enough for us to linger over our meal and chat about the film. But it will get our return business for the delicious food, good beer and cider, and wonderful service.

The bartender Bubbie ( spelling wrong, I know) she's so sweet! She will take her time to help you and listen to what you're looking for. The Pretzels with the Homemade Mustard sauce is so yummy!

We had great service, and the bacon in my BLT was super crispy. 3 of the 4 people I was with really liked their food (blackened chicken wrap, club, and i forget the 3rd meal). The Erupting Spud didn't go over well-deemed tasteless. Our server didn't get upset when I took forever deciding what to get. Portions are large. A couple could easily split a sandwhich, my husband's grandparents would probably split a half sandwich.

Really good food and service. Waiter recommended we try the pretzel sandwiches and they were delicious. Only problem was the wait time on our food, it wasn’t incredibly busy but the food did take a while.

This place was overall okay. My boyfriend and brother had sandwiches which they thought were really good. My daughter had the chowder and wasn’t impressed. I ordered the stuffed baked potato which was not great. The potato wasn’t seasoned and neither were the toppings. I’d probably give it another try.

While the restaurant is spacious and provides plenty of seating. Beer selection is pretty good here but as the food, it really lets you down. The menu looks and sounds great but execution fall way short of being satisfying. I personally had the pretzel patty melt sandwich and I can't ever remember having a dryer/overly bland sandwich in my life. All in all, come for the beer selection and pass on the food.

Too bad the taste isn't as big as the portions. My sandwich had a weird sauce(?) butter(?) idk what it was, smeared heavily all over the top. Hands got all greasy trying to eat, and that was after I wiped most if it off.

The food, especially all the different pizzas, is excellent The atmosphere is very comfortable and pleasing. It's a fun place to go with a large group of friends. The service, especially our waitress was great. Her name is Casey and we always try to get her area so she can be our server!!
