See my review for "The Lakefront Anchorage" The only reason I ate here was because I was staying at the hotel, had no car to go anywhere else, and had not eaten all day. It would have been better to stay in the room and go hungry. There was a sweet young woman who was working that night - not a server - but she was trying so hard to make people happy in that mess. I appreciate her kindness and efforts.

Food ok, prices too high ($25 for a smaller than expected portion of seafood salad) supposed to be an entree salad. Salad and 2 beers = 37.00 + tip. The most annoying and disappointing part of this experience was a 30 min wait before we even got a glass of water or menu served to us.(I know... it was definitely substandard service). We had to stand up and raise our hands to try to get servers attention and when ack owledged we were told that they were busy and short staffed and that we had to wait. Poor... POor...POOR... "excuse" especially when we Alaskans know that many tourists come there from their advertising of view of Lake Hood with a view of planes taking off and landing. In my opinion, the Millenium Hotel and Fancy Moose are not representing Alaska very well. I was disappointed except for the company of 2 lifelong friends reuniting after decades apart, sunny weather and a beautiful view. Those get 5 *****; however Service, Pricing & Value of product delivered and time it took to deliver 1*. You appear to be understaffed and your staff is lacking basic training. Our servers mixed up on drink and food orders and forgot an appetizer altogether. (We made sure we weren't charged for it). The server placed every item with the wrong person in our small group who ordered it. Sounds like a management/training issue which should be a fairly easy fix for management.

I had been here two years before and seemed to have remembered a Bison lasagna... I was correct. After I could not find it on the menu, I asked our server about it and he said that yes, it was HIS lasagna recipe but it had been taken off of the menu. This made me sad. I had wanted this lasagna all day - it was all I had been thinking about. I can't even remember what I had gotten in it's stead, because it didn't have the same flavor and deliciousness of what the lasagna had. But overall the experience was otherwise positive and the server had tried to make up for the missing meal.

Food is lousy and they don't bring the right beer. Ordered a Kolsch, got the Alaskan White. Ceasar wrap was bland. The "roasted chickpea gyros" was warmed canned chickpeas in a pita wrap with some veggies. And lastly the "Chocolate Moose" dessert tastes like it came out of a plastic bag, looks cool i guess. Overall not a great food and drink experience. Walk down the road for some Korean or at the least some Subway, yes Subway would be better.

Weekend bartender is excellent, fast, helpful. Weekday bartenders is lacking in those areas. Great selection of local craft beers, but the food was just so so. I probably wouldn’t go back for the food.

Nice place to sit and relax. Foods good, good service as well. Place seems to be pretty busy every time I go there. Entertainment (guitar player) live is nice. The high ceilings make the music a little loud (playing over din of crowd) sound is too focused? Maybe up date audio system? Installing some sound bricks vaulted ceiling would definitely help! Can be a little difficult carrying on a conversation... but I still go there! Worthy of a visit!

Staff was friendly, but most seemed temporary and inexperienced. Food was ok, but not worth the price. Bartender was down-to-earth, and seemed to be the only person running the place. In the future, will probably avoid the Fancy Moose in the summer.

A great little place to eat inside the Lakeview Hotel. Prices are about 3 out of 5 stars. The food is tastey and prepped nicely. The nachos and the prime rib was spot on. Don't forget to ask for the special menu. They also have a coffee shop inside as well.

Worse food I have ever had !!! Ordered the filet mignon and it was nothing but stew meat out of a crockpot !!! I told the skinny waitress and she said" there's nothing I can do about it but charge you the full price!" WHAT A RIP OFF!!! $39. 50 for stewed beef? ANCHORAGE PEOPLE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND EAT SOMEWHERE ELESE!!!

First time I came here, the nachos were great, however the more I come to this hotel and restaurant, the more disappointing it is. It has become very apparent that it is simply a tourist trap with snow bird pricing, and low quality food. The second time I got the nachos, they sucked. Half the wait staff are clueless about the beers on tap. The bottom line is that I can simply go to Mcdonalds or Wendys down the road and feel more satisfied with what I get for the money paid.

OMG! GREAT PLACE! The view of the lake the decor, I feel like I'm in Alaska. Met some great people just sitting at the bar. Service very friendly and helpful. The food pub fare and good. I LOVE THE BAR! HOOAH!

Pretty interesting place. It's a hotel bar. Has good interior aesthetics. It's right on the lake I love watching the live bands, although I heard that they're going to stop having the live bands in place of football. That might change the demographics of the place. May keep me away unfortunately. The server staff is pretty courteous. Menu seems okay to good.... Not fine dining, but bar food, although good. It's just turned out to be my burger, beer and live music place in a pretty nice settings.

Sat outside on The Deck after seeing a post on Facebook about the preview menu for the Beer and Bacon Festival. Waited for quite some time to be acknowledged but that was ok because the sun came out and the atmosphere was great. Unfortunately that was the only thing great about our experience. The server was very new and quickly became overwhelmed when tables began filling up around us. Long story short, she struggled. We got the wrong food, a sad Bloody Mary, and a bad attitude. The manager blamed the server for not accepting help which may have been true but as a former restaurant manager I recognized she was set up for failure. Terrible experience which is disappointing as the location and atmosphere could be something special. (I attached the picture of the advertisement/expectation verses reality. I will say, the food was pretty-just not at all what we ordered.)

Absolutely horrible. Table was dirty when we came in. Our waiter came outside once every 30 minutes. My drink took 10 minutes and the pasta was soggy. The chicken was jerky and the prices were sky high. Beware!! I don't know how this place has almost 4 stars.
