Music was not unbearable and a mix of 80s and more recent tunes. Wife had the grilled cheese with tomato basil dip and said it was the best grilled cheese she had ever had. I enjoyed a chicken salad with blue cheese crumbles shredded cheddar and buffalo sauce. Washed it down with Alaska Brewing Amber.

Good, friendly customer service and one of only a few places in town where you can get free wifi. Food is good some items has more flavor in it than other items. I like the fish tacos but I wish it had a little ore flavor. Maybe some pineapple or mango salsa. They also have a great taco Tuesday special that is a local favorite.

Nice little spot, a few of us split the fish and chips as an afternoon snack and had a couple of beers. They do have WiFi, the network is "BBG" and the password is "FreeVinny!"

This Bar & Grill has your classic bar food and good selection of beer. We sat in the back, where there is ample seating and a pool table. I had the burger and it was good. They encourage you to sign dollar bills or whatever currency so that they can paste it to their walls and ceiling. I asked how much $$ value they have up there, and it is quite a bit. If times ever get tough for the bar, at least they can peel the currency off the walls to keep them afloat.

Visited one day in Aug 2015 as a tourist. Quickly sat down and got my beers. Mighty fine selection of local beers to try. Food was tasty and the waitresses seemed to scurry about to keep on track.

Fun bar that serves comfort food. Not sure what the real theme was; rager rave bar or resturaunt? Overly loud music kept most of the blue hairs out. Really can't remember the food....filled the tank. Great service. I'd go back....at night.

If you have a lot of time to waste and don't really want to drink, this is the place for you! We walked in, sat at the bar, and pretty quickly (but without verbally acknowledging us), the bartender tossed a couple of coasters down in front of us. Then, after fifteen minutes of him pretending we weren't there, we got up and left. Go up the street to the Skagway Brewery. Good service, good beer, and a patio.

Ate here during our June Cruise. Red Onion was full so strolled up the street snd fiscovered The Bonanza! Glad we made that choice!! Great food (and a lot of it), Great & Friendly service! It was super busy! A lot of Minnesota Sports memorabilia on the wall behind the bar area! Coming from the Dakotas and following MN college and prof sports, it was fun to see. Would definitely recommend this spot!

Bonanza Bar and Grill was a lively rock and roll bar and grill. We had the halibut fish and chips it was excellent as were the fries. The bar Place mostly 60 through 80s rock plays it loud enough to be fun but not too loud to talk over. very energetic staff seem to dance and Boogie to the music as they did their jobs which added a positive vibe to the whole establishment. Walls are covered with. Posters and Graphics as well as lots of dollar bills from their yearly contest. We enjoyed our brief visit and meal and recommend disestablishment for a quick bite. Only downside was all things in Skagway seem quite expensive

Food is average, nothing extraordinary, it is a typical American restaurant, nothing more. Service is really slow and prices are really high ($25 for one plate and drink). They even include themselves the tip without asking. You can find better options in Skagway.

Large pub in the middle of Skagway which is really only a town with one Main Street. The highlight was the Spruce Tip beer which is only brewed once a year when the Spruce tree is sprouting new growth. Be careful though as it’s 9% so just like drinking a pint of wine!

The restaurant was packed because of the cruise ships at the port. Nice bar area with TVs and bartenders were very friendly. Our server was very efficient and attentive. Food was served in less than 5 minutes. We ordered deep fried pickles and crab-cake sandwich. The deep fried pickles were very crispy outside (very flavorful batter) and the pickles were so juicy! Dip it in the ranch dressing... VERY ADDICTIVE!! The crab meat sandwich.... so-so. Wish they toasted the buns or deep fried the crab-cake to get some texture. Or else soft buns with creamy crab meat wasn't too exciting. However, the homemade potato chips were totally to die for!! Super crispy!!
