Checking in late and still hungry, this is the place to come either for a couple of drinks or a late diner. Employees very helpful and efficient serving you. A place where hotel customer and locals have a good time

Food was great. However our party of 5 were there for 3 hours from 745-1045. Our server was at our table for our order, at our table to serve us our food, then one more time to pass out a check. We had empty drinks for over an hour. The server talked down to one of our guests because they were on their phone while he was collecting our orders. Inappropriate. Again, food was great but it took 2 hours to get food. The table next to us left early because it was taking so long. Not to mention they never answered the phone when we called ahead of time to make a reservation so we had to wait a half hour to be checked in..unfortunate because it's a nice looking restaurant. The foods good but your gonna wait and your not going to get good service.

The wait staff was horrible. Alisha took forever to take our order. Three tables arrived after us, had their meals served, and were checked out before us. A man ended up bringing us our food and and apologizing but did not explain why there was such a wait. The $15 kobe burger was a frozen patty that was not even dressed. When it came time to check out Alisha bounced around from table to table checking out guests that arrived after us. 2 hours total and we only had a burger and a sandwich. Not impressed!

Not a pleasant experience. The waitress started off being very nice when taking our orders, so I trusted her recommending the salmon over the burrata salad. Unfortunately the salmon was way too dry (sides were ok though) and I couldn't finish all of it. There were some other issues with the steak and undercooked fries for my friends as well. We told the waitress about it when asking for the check, she didn't comment. But when she came back she brought a message from the kitchen, that all food was prepared at the temperatures they were orded (I wasn't even asked how I wanted the salmon), and that next time, we should maybe order everything more rare. Serving the food as it was seemed unfortunate, but then blaming it on the customer was a little much. Wouldn't recommend - especially for the price.

Dinner was horrible. Over-cooked Halibut was as dry as it could get. Seafood chowder full of raw potatoes, and hardly any seafood. Excellent service though. This place needs a Burger King.

Mediocre food, not worth the prices they are charging. We had the calamari which was your standard frozen, breaded then deep fried calamari; we had HUGE fresh calamari at Humpy's in Anchorage that blew this out of the water. We also had salad and prosciutto pizza. The pizza was extremely salty; we tossed the leftovers. The salads were good.

Went for a quick bite. Seated right away near the windows. Small place with friendly staffs. We were intrigued by the halibut melt so we ordered with the seafood soup. The food came 20 minutes and the melt just looks like tuna sandwich but I was blown away with the juicy, perfectly seasoned fish and the soft bun (that I thought would be too dence but was wrong again). The soup was good but the melt was the star of this meal. The pizzas for dinner by the fire was also great! Nice thin crust with just enough bread on the edge if you want some great chewy bread. Well prepared pizzas.

As a local, I eat here regularly. The food is excellent and the atmosphere wonderful. Unless you have a large group, seat yourself on the bar side. Weekends there is a fantastic brunch with a great breakfast pizza. The Bloodies are excellent and while the beer selection is small, they carry Denali's Twister Creek IPA and the Alyeska Ale, which is currently a Porter/IPA brewed by Glacier Brew House. Quality beer for $5 a pint. I’m not sure what reviewer Ming-Chen Hsu is talking about, but I will say, the chowder is sometimes made with some leftover fish so it's possible he hit it on a bad day? All I know is I have had it many times and it's creamy and delicious. The staff here, as in all the resort restaurants is excellent. Even if you are a cranky tourist with a stick up your butt, you'll likely get treated in a professional manner. But please don’t be.

We had a reservation at Seven Glaciers that we couldn't make because the tram was not running due to wind. So instead we settled for Aurora Bar & Grill in the hotel and were not impressed with the food or setting for the price.

Definitely a great place for good food, large quantities and attentive service. We had 12 inch pizza and spaghetti bolognese. Hot and tasty.

Great food and ambience. Ask for a table by the window to get most out of your dining experience here. Prices are pretty reasonable - we ordered the Steamer Clams and Margherita pizza and both were really great. In fact clams were one of the best clam preparation I have seen - very flavorful. I highly recommend the place.

We have eaten here a few times in the past. My favorite is the halibut melt- moist and flavorful. The seafood chowder is basically clam chowder, no salmon in it and bland. The pizza, beet salad and beyond burger are also all favorites for us. The Greek and the margherita are our go-tos. The staff is very friendly. The bartenders will make custom drinks happily for you and have a fine selection to start. They use brandy soaked cherries for the old fashion and make a tangy but not too sweet blood orange margarita. The blueberry Moscow mule is refreshing but after a day on the slopes we love ending it with a hot toddy or mixed hot chocolate drink.

Food and service were good! I particularly enjoyed their Baked Alyeska that I had for dessert! The waitress was very nice and service was quick.

A little bit overpriced. However, can't beat the service and location. Had a table by the window which gave us perfect views of the mountain behind the hotel. The staff was very prompt with their service which is expected due to the resort's reputation. Food came out good and definitely had that four star presentation. Will be back again.

Mediocre food at inflated hotel prices. What I thought was totally unacceptable was they served a flat beer and refused to make it right. They just told us it was too bad and would change us for the flat beer . Totally ridiculous. We are here for a week. They will get no further food business from us.

No service what so ever. Stood at the front waiting for about 5 minutes, we were the only ones there. Eventually a bus boy ended up telling my friend and I we can sit wherever. Sat at the table we chose for ~20 minutes. No one ever came up to ask for our order. No even for drinks, was never acknowledged by anyone. Only giving 2 stars because the restaurant looked nice. Work on paying attention to your patrons.

We had to wait over an hour for food (hamburgers) to come out and we had to flag down the waitress constantly to get refills as she never returned to the table after taking our order. Nobody stopped to check on how the food was. I would not recommend.

I have lived in AK for years, but I had never been to Aurora Bar and Grill until today. I will definitely be back! The lunch menu is great and the food was out of this world. Dad and I ordered the Portobello Sandwich and the Dijon Chicken Club. Both sandwiches were top notch but the Portobello Sandwich was the best I have ever had. Portions were large, the prices were very reasonable and the view of the mountain, trams, and the lodge were good too. The table next to us ordered pizzas and I will definitely be checking those out in the future!!

After having paid for room and a food credit up front. They dont tell you that it has to be used while your checked in. We checked out after one night and went straight to the Aurora Bar & Grill. And we were told the credit could not be used after you checkout. And all after having tipped the cook for doing an awesome job. What a waste...

after a week driving around Alaska, we were craving some decent food, finally place that deserves 5 stars. Creme brulee is the best i’ve ever had. Also had lasagna , clams, brussel sprouts, all good. Service was good, beautiful place with panoramic windows and a mountain view. Prices were on the high side, but given the location is expected.
