Kim Pettit

Christopher Langdon

ALWAYS the best! Whenever I get the chance I get a true Alaskan treat....Arctic Roadrunner mmmmmm

Cellus Schaaf

It's a Anchorage landmark they have been serving incredible burgers for decades!

Donata Dietrich

Great burger , just like dad’s

Sarah Lewis-Andrews

Best Alaska dining experience. Locally owned, and ran with their employees and customers in mind. Location is perfect no matter the weather. There's a beautiful creek just outside that you can sit by surrounded by flowers in the summer or view from inside during the winter. Food is delicious, they don't cut corners or compromise quality. I'm sad to say that the owner has recently passed away, but it appears that his family plans to continue the business as he was. That is definitely my hope.

Jeremy Mase

Went there for the first time today. Was highly disappointed. I had heard great things about them. I had the French dip. The meat had zero flavor. The aus jus looked and tasted like hamburger grease. It was a big let down. I might consider possibly going there again and giving a burger a try. But the French dip is off the menu. And thats one of my favorite meals.

Jerre Hudgins

Nice casual atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Chris Liebsch

Salty tasting greasy cheeseburger, but an excellent blackberry shake.

Shelly Ostman

The BEST milkshakes!

John T

Great Burger and great Roast Beef Sandwich. Family friendly restaurant and simple atmosphere. Cash only. Lots of history. Highly recommend.

ali latt

Their chicken burger had a strange texture but otherwise it was okay.

amber marie

Great Atmospher, great food, amazing service. Always has from day 1. Enjoy a great outdoor deck right next to a beautiful creek in the summer time.

Ryan Newton

This is a great place to get a bite with friends. I've gone here many times over the years and honestly it is about the most pleasantly consistent place to eat. The only downside is they only take cash, but do have an ATM. It even has amazing views of Campbell Creek with outside seating!!

dakota jorgenson-kutei

Amazing food great customer service

Keith Kniegge

Always great burgers

Robert Greener

We love the burgers , Great BlackBerry shakes. We are from Houston Texas, when we come to town this is our first food stop.

Shelley Odem

Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had.

Carl Wetzel

I love this place its me and my dad have been going to for years the burgers are always good would love to see chicken fried steak on the menu

Justin Neal

Really cool to eat a proper hamburger patty at a fast food place. The fries are awesome, and they have all the fixins yo top off your burger. Seating is available right on Campbell Creek where you can sip on your milkshake and watch the salmon swim upstream. A proper all-American burger joint.

Kennedy Allen

Great food and atmosphere! Love all of the home like touches with pictures of all the cool people around Alaska. In the summer it's so nice to sit out by the water and soak in the sun while eating a delicious burger, fries and milkshake!

Jerilyn Glenn

Soda machine tasted like dish soap

Matthew Stephens

Love this place. We come every time we are in town from Arizona. Onion rings night be a little messy, but taste great. My brother really liked the halibut burger and I liked the arctic cheese with some spicey pickles . Can't wait to come back again next year!

Sher Canady

Love the Burgers and sitting next to Campbell Creek in the beautiful Alaska Sunshine

Bill Sidney

Great Burgers - better than I remember from the 80's

aaron donham

Historic place with amazing simple food....bring cash...cause that all they accept.

Joe Seale

As always, great food and fast. Halibut burgers and French dip were great. Surprise! Four of us ate for under 40 dollars. Cash only! No credit cards so watch out.

S R Hayes

Love the food, cooked to order, nice place to eat!

Forrest Creason

A very good Halibut burger.

Michelle Mitton

Good burgers and love the smoked turkey sandwich but hate that it's cash only. Fun in the summer when you can eat outside by the creek.

Robert Wisdom

Delicious burgers, and reasonably prices.i always get a full belly at arctic roadrunners.

Paula Riggs

The regional decor is amazing. Nicely matted photos of people who live here and frequent the place are all over the walls. Trophy fishing and hunting photos all over the place including the ceilings in some parts. Very impressive as you can see by the pictures. My cheeseburger was very big and tasty.

colin harrington

Awesome food and clean establishment. They served my food really fast and the price was unbeatable. I'll be back.

Shilpa Choudari

We went there on out way to Denali as our taxi driver recommended it highly. Place has lot of history. The burgers were very juicy but i felt they are very salty to my taste. None in the group felt they are great but they were ok. Salad they gave with the chicken sandwich was good. Onions rings were just burnt pieces of onion. Little disappointed after all the hype.

William Hansen

Best ham & cheese sandwich in Anchorage!

Sharon Hudson

This is a cash only establishment which is a pain in this day in age, where card readers are so easily available... The ATM has a $2.75 surcharge... The burgers are homemade. My burger was dark pink in the middle, but was okay, the homemade onion "straws" were greasy and awkwardly breaded.

Daniel Nichols

I love this place in the summer. Great food and you can eat outside by Campbell Creek.

Martin Marshall

Awesome food! Down home, simple, Alaskan burgers! Don't forget your cash when you come to visit though, they're cash only.

Pamela Little

Interesting decor. Photos of people and their short biographies which line the walls and ceilings make for good conversation. View of Campbell creek is nice too. Burgers are homemade patties not frozen.

Justin Holley

Great Salmon Burgers, Onion Rings and Milkshakes!

Jessica Britt

Hands down the best burger and HUGE milkshakes

Dominique Reh

The decor is awesome, cool view of the River. But the food is disgusting and THERE WERE FLIES EVERYWHERE. The window sill I sat next to had dust in the cracks and dead bugs all over. Waste of 20$ if you ask me. Their French dip was bland, fries were burnt, overall terrible experience. The only thing decent about this place was the sweet counter girl. Would not recommend

Walsh Brown

Great burgers and fries. The burgers are full sized and handmade.

Timmy Li Ferguson

This place is bar none the best of the best in comparison to any burger joint I've ever ate at in the USA... hands down with their shakes, burgers and all you can eat picked bar sidings!

La'Akea Community

Great burgers! Fun atmosphere

Thomas Knotts

I really enjoyed Arctic Roadrunner so much I've been back three times so far. And I'm not alone. There walls are full of pictures and stories of loyal customers that have been coming back for years. I love the decor too. Around each corner is a new adventure to discover. The first time I visited I took advantage of the outdoor seating along side the brook that passes gracefully by. It adds sights and sounds that we all could enjoy. I will be back soon to put a smile again on my face as I enjoy all the flavors that you have to offer.

Az Hiker

Great burgers, onion pieces, prices and atmosphere!

Martin Moody

One of Anchorage's best burger dives!

Ken Doughty

The food is constantly excellent.

Todd K

Great local place. Hamburger, fries, unique homemade fried onions, and the best halibut patty sandwich around. The salmon patty is good too. Beware- cash only. The prices are very fair so you dont need much cash anyway.

Erin Price

The place is dated, the food isn't great and very overpriced. However, the staff is wonderful though. I feel bad that I disliked this place so much.

Graham Tiplady

If it ain't broke, don't fix it - this classic burger stop has always been the way it is now, and that's a good thing. Cash only, friendly staff, delicious burgers, fries and milkshakes. Nuff said

Mike Marcum

The best Burger in Anchorage

Daniel Benitez

Good food, not so good on the waitstaff. Ordered cole slaw with burger, but got French fries instead.

Steve Ketchum

Awesome burgers and shakes!

Great Hamburgers... cozy fireplace to sit next to in the winter and a creek to sit next to in the summer. You do have to pay cash, but they have an atm inside just in case!

Curvy Gurl

Love this place! Consistently simple yet delicious food. Burgers are juicy, homemade onion pieces are a little piece of heaven, and the have hand mixed shakes! In the summer, its awesome to sit out side by the creek and watch the salmon run while eating.

Bob Guzik

Homemade onion rings are to die for. Hamburgers are a close second. Highly recommended

Matt kramer

Pretty good burger for a decent price. Bring cash, cards are not accepted.

Tim Wilda

Great burger, and pretty reasonably priced for Anchorage. Really neat Alaska decor inside too

Donnie Shryack

Good cheeseburger just need to match the bun with the burger size

Jia Hui Sim

Onion ring is good. Fries and burger is overrated.

SolarPatrol .

In my opinion as having been born and raised here and tried all the burger joints in town this is by far the best quality. Absolutely unprecedented legendary scrumptiousness awaits your taste buds. It's expensive but absolutely worth it.

Amit Phone

Great burgers, nice establishment

Winston's College Vlogs

Delecicious filling burgers with excellent milkshakes

Gretchen Gwyn

Great burger and wonderful atmosphere!

m jones

Very popular place but I feel it's overrated. I had a traditional burger it was good but nothing special. I felt the milkshakes were a good value. Our fries weren't added to our order so we had to go back. Remember to carry cash because that is all they take, which is hard to have on hand if you are from out of town.

Devin Warrington

Good burger, cooked to order. Friendly staff.

Jason Stewart

Anchorage history, burgers, shakes.. fantastic, bring cash

Ian Mills

Local landmark. Even if you're only in Anchorage for a week, you have to go. The burgers, fries, and everything else are consistently excellent. In the summer you can eat right down by the river but you might want to stay inside and look at all the fun pictures submitted by loyal customers.

Rachel Fillmore

Cost way more than the online menu prices. Halibut burger was good and the fries were great but probably won't go back just because it was soild food but didn't wow me. With about a dozen or more burger shops in Anchorage it just didn't cut the mustard.

Rebecca Ervin

Burgers never disappoint!

jana h. ginter

After placing our order, we were rudely told it was cash only. Apparently good burgers, but we only had plastic. We left.

Kurt Meehleis

It's relatively fast food, and locally owned since I believe 1964. So much character in that building, and the food tastes great. Really enjoyed my burger on this cold day while sitting next to the wood fed fire place.

Affordable historical burger joint! Delicious

Gene Waggoner

Crazy how you can make such a simple burger taste so good.

Bala Ganesan

Awesome place, serving delicious burgers and sandwiches. Campbell creek, running on the backside, adds a lot of character to this restaurant.

Pamela Crane

Food is really good, only u wait on self ,wasnt bad at all

DancingYeti S

I LOVE getting salmon burger and halibut burger here, along with fries or onion rings. Their little pickled peppers and salsa are really yummy, too. My friends' favorites are the kodiak burger and the ham sandwich. CASH ONLY~!

Kurt San Agustin

Great burgers and all around good food. But they are cash only so be aware before you go.

Barbara Hrubes

You can't beat the Kodiak islander's the only burger I get there. Have to go at least once a month.yum.

Robert Cutler

Arctic roadrunner has been a staple burger joint in Anchorage since I can remember. They have a local family menu of burgers coleslaw fresh shakes sandwiches baskets etc. Good stuff. With it's quirky eccentric local atmosphere--located on Chester Creek, across from Peanut Farm and on the corner of International Airport Road and Old Seward --goes it's NO CHECKS OR CARDS, CASH ONLY policy. --peace out

Ethel Reed

Fabulous eatery, great delicious homemade food, shakes, tasty beverages, wonderful area to sit in or outside next to a creek, beautiful views, friendly attentive staff.

kenneth houston

No need for a review, been around as long as Anchorage for a reason

Richard Holt

Great burgers and onion bits, bring cash.

Wil Bell

Ok burger way over priced nastagia that's what they are selling

Nga Huynh

I needed a quick lunch before my flight home and found this gem. The bacon burger on wheat bread was amazing! I’d definitely recommend it to friends that visit Anchorage. Also, cash only!

Leigh Anne Gubatayao

Only takes cash- ATM on site. Delicious fresh hamburgers and perfect fries. Yummy shakes.

Tina Balog

Always the best burger in Anchorage. But you need cash no credit accepted. Plus always fun to sit and watch Cambell creek flow by from your cozy seat inside.

Bob Berrigan

Neat location right along a creek. Great tasting burgers. Not many alternatives for kids to eat. Free refills on many drinks. Beware that they only accept cash.

J. Connolly

This is a long time Anchorage restaurant... There's lots of memorabilia inside... I remember going there as a young kid I get a. feeling of nostalgiawhen I went back there. There is much memorabilia for the state of Alaska and definitely captures and older time period

Jackie Fisher

Love the Kodiak burger!

Artic Roadrunner is arguably the best or second best burger in town. It is cash only. The burgers are good the fries and the nice thick kind. The shakes are also probably some of the best in town. The decor is interesting Alaska stuff which is entertaining. The service is very fast and very friendly. You can get a table inside and look over the river. The outdoor seating is also next to the river. If people are floating the river you can totally make then jealous of your yummy food.

Mike Morgan

Finally gave this place a shot. Not sure what all the Hub-bub is about. First and probably only time. Dirty everything. Food pickup was nearly a disaster. Called our number, seen 3 trays of food sitting together, so took all three. Only once at our table, did we realize we inadvertently grabbed another order. Quickly informed an employee as to what had happened so the orders could be straitened out. 2

ashley johnson

Love this place. Love the photos of customers on every wall and the message on the board out front. Last time I was here they had local newspapers from the 70s and 80s on the wall. Coming here makes me happy to be an Alaskan. Bring cash or use the atm.

pete pinkston

Good food, at least 1 jerk that can't drive a truck that eats there.

Mark Bray

Visited on advice from a friend. Burger was a little dry, cooked too well-done, but tasty. Fries were perfect. Sat outside because the weather was great. Lots of outside seating. Creekside was a nice treat. Cash and Pepsi products only. On-site ATM, but you'll have to be creative if you want a Coca-cola.

Danny Simmons

Great food and staff

Gary Peltola

Been going to this restaurant over the years with family and friends. big unique tasty burgers geared towards Alaskan type flavors. The only - is they still don't accept debit and credit cards so cash only at this place

Dolores Jenniings

They have delicious hamburgers. And there service is fast. A great place to eat.

Vicki Meyers

Excellent burger, as always! Very good French Dip ad well.

Mark Steinhauer

It was crowded when I got there for lunch but with plenty of seating it didn't take long before we found a table. The food came out quickly and was very tasty. All around a good option for a local burger.

Jeremiah Krug

Always good, always reliable, never have left this place dissatisfied, if you're in Anchorage and want a good burger, look no further

Pretty much just hamburgers but great food and (weather permitting) great place to sit outside and eat by the creek

Finn kouger

Great food and service. A must go to anyone, at least once. They are still kinda old school and only take cash, but if you forget to bring some, they do have an atm. There is seating inside and outside by the creek and tons of Alaskan history on their walls.

Burger patty was half size of bun. Asked to make sure they didn't accidentally give me a kids patty, and they confirmed my tiny patty was correct. So basically you are eating mostly bread with a little meat. Cant recommend this place. Not worth the price for what you get.

Ryan Parker

A true ALASKAN experience.. and I find using the word Alaskan to be cringey. It's a historical landmark in my eyes and the food is so great. Always has a place in my heart.

Kris Voronin

Long time customer, been regularly eating at my once absolutely favorite burger joint, last couple years its been seemingly like the atmosphere and the quality of the food has gone downhill from what it once was!

Tricia Thomas

Delicious burger with wonderful people watching.

Suzanne Taber

Love the homestyle onion rings

Great place to go my children love it there

Good food. Cash only. The regular burgers and fresh blackberry shakes are delicious. I wouldn't order the Salmon burger again. It was okay, but a for few $ more you could go down the street and get a real filet.

Chad Baxter

Amazing little whole in the wall. Great prices too. Could spend all day just looking a old time photos on the wall. Real cool little place

Bryan Bell

Always excellent even decades later

Great food, fast food. Classic Diner style

Eva ONeill

There is a whole bunch of pictures of famous people and local residents.

Justin Baggett

Great food and atmosphere, hand formed burger patties made fresh with quality beef. The Kodiak Islander us my goto burger, but the Mexi Ham and the Smoked Turkey are great too! Killer clam chowder on Fridays and make sure to try the baked beans.

Israel Alvarado

As usual, their burgers are juicy n tasty. Good customer service too.

Laurel Rohwer

Always hits the spot! Indoor and outdoor seating available, weather dependent. Cash only, with an atm inside.

Dillon DiLullo

Good flavor for the burgers, too greasy. Makes me run for more than just the road.

Sandy Thein

I love this place for lunch. Old fashioned mom and pop style burgers with a nice condiment bar. Great family atmosphere with so much awesome nostalgia and photos to look at. Quick service, delicious food, and always clean.

Nycca G

Love this place!!! Will go there every time I go to Anchorage

Peter Montanelli

Waited in line for ten minutes. Got to the cashier and saw a sign that said cash only. I never saw any signs prior. They had an atm but I was not going to stand in line as it was longer due to lunch rush. It's 2019 they should take card or at least add multiple signs before the cashier.

Mr. Skywalker

Everyone who comes to Alaska should come here atleast once........ A week.

Brian O

This hamburger restaurant is piece of Anchorage diner history. The setting is soothing and enjoyable, not typically found in a hamburger joint. The walls are covered in photographs & storied descriptions of many long time patrons of this establishment and its connection to Anchorage. There is a wood burning fireplace that helps add to the ambiance of the dine-in experience. The menu is straight forward comfort food. Arctic Burgers are the staple menu item and delicious, reminding me of burgers from my youth. They are a value, in Achorage, at ~ 7$ [11/2018] for a hand made, well seasoned 1/4 Lb. hamburger patty. The fries appear to be hand cut too, and the homemade onion ring, though a little greasy, are delicious. The fixings bar included hot pickles (really good), dill pickles, onions, salsa (homemade) & more. The Soda fountain is nearby, and all you can drink! I will be adding this location to my list of favorites.

Bishop David

Great food and unbeatable service.

chelsi jones

Great Burgers, Great Milkshakes..What more could you ask for?

Matt Asciutto

Pretty good quick burger. The shakes are excellent and there is plenty of outdoor seating. Great way to round out a week in Anchorage.

Tammy Michaels-Jimenez

So big Burger's! Yummy clam chowder soup & home made beans. Everything home made

Mike Grauf

Nice ambience and the BBQ sandwich was very good.

Douglas Markussen

Great old-Anchrage favorite - fantastic burgers

Steve Bills

Cash only! Burgers are good and juicy. Lots of complimentary condiments in 2 side bars. Historical photos throughout the restaurant.

Cory Chenevert

A must stop in Anchorage for any fan of burgers and fried onions. I strongly recommend the Halibut or Salmon burgers (in that order) with the fried fresh onion pieces...though the onion rings are amazing too. There are numerous framed photos representing a "rogue's gallery" of old school Alaskan personalities seemingly mostly comprised of folks who arrived in Alaska in the 60s & 70s. Eat outside by the adjacent creek to be entertained by local ducks & geese.

Paul Robarge

This is Alaskas original burger joint. Eating a burger here is being surrounded by Alaskan history. The food is great also and it is always consistantly good. The service is fast and freindly and there is a great view with lots of pictures of Alaskans loving Alaska. I highly recomend going here if you want a good burger.

Deneb Viens

Fantastic burgers and excellent milk shakes, great outdoor seating next to camble creek during the summer. lots of "old Alaska" history, pictures and maps on the walls. definitely worth the price, cash only, atm inside.

Stacey Kimball

Always stop in when we are in Anchorage. It’s changed a little over the past 10 years. Still good variety of burgers. Great shakes. Enjoy watching the wildlife in the creek.
