Amazing experience even though the staff seemed frazzled which was totally understandable!! There was a line and a packed parking lot with their phone ringing off the hook! Even though they were frazzled they maintained a friendly nature and great customer service! I would have waited 4 hours, but it was only a 30 min wait haha! I was very pleased with my AJ burger, fry and oreo shake! Thank you and I will be back!

Just moved to Ketchikan from California (Bay Area/San Jose), and I'm pretty confident that AJ's has better burgers than any of the restaurants I've been to in "The Bay". Love the food, service, prices, and the view. They have a large variety of food which makes it easy for groups of people with different food preferences. The "dining in" area is heated with music and has great views. It's now my favorite food place on the island!

I recently moved to Ketchikan, and Google recommended this hole-in-the wall place by the ocean. I ordered the 1/2 pound Marshall burger. There was a long wait but it was worth it, it was possibly the biggest burger I've ever had meat-wise. They weren't kidding about 1/2 lbs! The meat was flavourful and juicy. Probably about the best burger you can expect to get in small-town Alaska.

This place was a total surprise! AJ's is a little food trailer on the side of the road in Ketchikan. The location was awesome because it looks out over the water. But that's not the best part! Their burgers are amazing! Not what I was expecting from a food trailer. They were super juicy and all the toppings were fresh. The fried mushrooms were delicious as well. I also got the clam chowder which was very tasty. The staff was super friendly as well.

This is formerly Rose's Caboose and is now AJ's Gourmet Burgers. Instead of a caboose it's now an orange shipping container. It's about a 10 minute drive north of downtown Ketchikan. If you are on a cruise, you could take a cab or try using the city bus for $2. They have both surf and turf options and has the cheapest bacon cheeseburger in town. You can eat along the water front at a picnic table or they'll bring it to your car. My daughter is working for Tongass Trading this summer and was excited to bring me here. It definitely looks like a local favorite. While waiting for our food we see lots of people who have apparently ordered ahead and have their food delivered to their car window.

Best burgers in town. Their hours are terrible though, usually they aren't open when you want a burger. Super frustrating to drive all the way there at a normal time of day and have them be closed all the time.

Amazing food and folks that run the place are all family! They treat Ketchikan like their family as well! They help a lot of folks in need of it. They were crazy busy the day I stopped by but they were kicking butt. Summer is coming which means longer lines and longer waits. 3 people run the place JUST THREE. They were stressed out but maintained professionalism. Humans can only tolerate so much stress so to see them still smiling was awesome. I am a yogi master and I was impressed with how calm they were with lines and phone ringing and their order board was over flowing. You guys are doing something right and ignore the haters. Success brings those who want to tear you down. I will be back with my whole family! Thank you.

Went to AJ's tonight and ordered some food to go. It was our first experience and it turned out great!! Delicious, hot and fresh!! My husband and daughter had burgers. They both said they were impressed with the taste and quality! I had the Gold Rush. Amazing!! Reasonably priced! Would highly recommend!!!

If your here in town you better come here, a fresh burger and fresh bun for it has changed over the year, the burgers are not your small McDonald's size but large and wholesome food. The fries are nice and large and yummie. The burgers are the best in town and would highly suggest dining here. Also a perfect place to drink a milkshake and watch AS take off and land

Burgers are fabulous...the fries were pretty good, they give you alot even for a small. We also tried the mozzarella sticks which I would definitely try again. Parking can be strategic since there's room for about 7 cars. Will spend close to $15pp if you add in drinks

I simply asked if they offer gluten free buns, and to my surprise they did! Their beef is top notch, disregard that one review saying they are preformed. Definitely not, I see these folks every morning on my coffee run picking up their day supply at the store. I have also come by mid afternoon when they are using this cool press machine to form the perfect patty. If you are into fish their halibut is delicious and fresh! Great prices here! Hands down this family loves what they do, and they try to accommodate every need possible. I missed Rose's when it was destroyed, but the fact that they came back from a hardship shows true character! They have my respect and business for as long as I am here.
