Slow service...lackluster food...expressed dissatisfaction regarding food...and was told to pay at the front...no attempt to make experience better. No desire to satisfy customer. I ordered soup...it was very salty and short on meat (beef and barley, which is my favorite) cod (fish and chips) another favorite of mine. The cod pieces were VERY SMALL and over battered. The fries were luke warm. I won't return here.

I love their meat lovers skillet!!! Wouldn't wanna go anywhere else for it. Pick up orders are super fast. Only thing I dislike is the smoking area, sometimes you might smell smoke in the non smoking area. I do wish they had a lot more choices in food (a bigger menu).

This place is not worth walking in if cigarettes bother you. It has a smoking and non smoking side which for enclose doors it’s all a big dinner for smokers. So I can’t speak for the food because we walked in and immediately out as soon as the smell hit us.

Food quality was good and in compare to other american restaurant in Fairbanks, great. Decore was American and in harmony with foods that served there. 2 problems caused 3 star review: 1- We ordered Baklava and it was an old Baklava that over cooked in microwave, so it was a hard sheets of paper with almost no filling and they charged us 7 dollar for 2×3 inch baklava!!! 2-Service was not great, every time I wanted to order or request a refill, I had to go and ask for those and at the end we had to go to counter to pay the bill that with high price tag on food here is not acceptable!!!! In overall if you want an american food, this place has a great choices, but do not anticipate great service and do not order desert!

Worst experience of my life. Food arrives uncooked raw, and then the staff gives you attitude when you send it back. A matter of fact I have never been banned from a restaurant before because of complaining of being served raw food. Stay away from this one folks better call the health department while you’re at it

The only time I go here is in the middle of the night. Their food is better than Dennys but compared to day time diners is lacking. If you need a burger or chicken strip fix at 3am this is the place.

No wait at all at noon on Saturday, and the service and food were fast. Prices are fair and in line with similar local restaurants. I didn't smell cigarettes (as a reformed smoker I'm pretty sensitive to it). My only negative was that the griddle fry used on my Patty melt seemed very salty, but it was still a good experience.

I will not return. Food is so so but the environment is terrible. Smoking section spills over enough smoke to make me gag, even when there were only a few people in that section. The smoke has permiated the whole building. In this day and age, it's sad to see there is not better ventilation and smoke mitigation. I litterally came home reaking of smoke and with a sore throat. Never again.

Used to come and eat a breakfast skillet all the time , the last 2 times I've gone though the food was terrible! The potatoes were burnt and hard( which usually is the best part of a skillet) and the little bit of veggies that were in it weren't even fully cooked and the cheese on top of it wouldn't even melt because the dish wasn't warm enough to melt it. Super sad :( probably won't be eating here for a long time.

My daughter, and her boyfriend made this stop extra special. Their burgers are delicious, and so are their fries. You won't be disappointed, go try their food. I definitely plan to make Airport Way Restaurant a regular stop, whenever visiting Fairbanks. Can't wait to eat at the Airport Way Restaurant, again.

I mean it's freaking AW dinner if you are a local you have definitely been here. It is truly the best place to go after the bars. To be honest the place is old the staff is not always the best and the food isn't great (except the calzones are shockingly amazing)all that a side though this is literally the most Fairbanks place there is hands down

Quality of the food was very low. Lower than i was expecting, and i knew it wasnt going to be amazing. The burger was more like a school lunch meatloaf, texture and taste wise. The super nachos had chili and cheese straight out of the can, giant diced onions and peppers, and was way over priced. One order of fries were cold. To top it off this restaurant still allows smoking so that was disappointing. Quality and price did not match, and service was so-so. Will not be going back.

The secret spot for Greek food! This place is amazing for Greek food. Get to know the staff a little and they will let you know who is cooking etc. Best gyro in Fairbanks. Wait staff can be a bit abrasive with foul language in side conversations with other staff, but beyond that one issue I really like this spot.

It was okay. They were slow. Took a few minutes for them to get our order. Received food and both the eggs and hash browns were cooked incorrectly and hash browns tasted old. Had to get my own second set of silverware and wave down a different server for ketchup. Would not recommend. There are better places in Fairbanks with lower prices and better food.

I ordered the fried chicken dinner. The chicken was okay, the potatoes are clearly from a tasteless box of flakes, the green beans were canned mushy and gross. Would NOT recommend this restaraunt to anyone. Our waitress was rude when we ordered and the smoke was not contained to the smoking area in any way.

It's a 24 hour restaurant don't expect fine dining. However staff are friendly, good food, reasonable prices. A Fairbanks staple for late night food. I hesitate to state this but I have a love of "greasy spoon" restaurants, this is that kind of place. Good coffee and great breakfast.

First let me say, ive been coming here for about 15 or so years. Sometime after my wife and i were married in 2006 we went out to dinner here. The owner was always very nice. He said “how are you young man, and who is the beautiful lady” i said, shes my wife, we were married a few months ago. He said “congratulations, dinner is on the House” Been coming every since. But about a week ago. My brother and i came here for dinner. I have always kidded around with the waitresses. All very clean, but i like making people smile. So anyway, my brother and I both ordered cheeseburgers and fries. I ordered mine fries separate, and burger to go. Well, this one request of mine was meant with extreme disdain right from the start. My brother ordered his to stay. We both ordered tarter sauce for our fries. We was very upset when she went to place our order. She returned with our food, and no tarter sauce. She asked if there was anything else we wanted, rather rudely. My brother and I said just the tarter sauce. She spun around with a grunt and went and got one tsrter sauce. She said sarcastically, anything else. I said miss, one more tarter sauce please. She grunted again with anger and left. Not a word. About five or so minutes later, the old skinny blonde gal, the one that is always hacking, came back to our table with the tarter sauce and threw it across the table. It had some red pasty streaks in it. Thank you we said, she spun away. Of course, my brother and I ditched the tarter sauce. Our waitress came by several times serving coffee refills, she ignored us every time and served everyone around us. I tried giving the benefit of the doubt. Tried thinking if there was anything bad i or my brother had said, nothing. I came in today to order dinner. Again, i got this waitress. She again was very rude. She actually sent someone else to serve me. I don’t want her to loose her job, but she needs a talking to by the owner, thats for sure. I do recall my brother and I discussing a topic on OAN Network on the tv. My only guess is she took offense to our political beliefs. I don’t know?? I will continue to come back, but I will refuse service from the short gal with the arm tattoos and the old lady that hacks all the time. Other than that. Its a great place, always has been. Still deciding wether or not to speak with the owner. Thats why it gets four stars instead of five

A locals diner most definitely, waitress’s know most customers by first name. There is a smoking section and non smoking section for children and family. Meals are always quickly done and with a reasonable price and you get what you paid for. American Daily News is always playing which is a big plus.

Shockingly enough this little hole in the wall restaurant (the only place open to serve dinner past 10pm in this entire town!) Was the ABSOLUTE best part of the 12 day trip my husband and I spent in Fairbanks no joke. I couldn't believe how amazing the comfort food ended up being- hubby agrees 100% lol it don't have a dress code and the food is fairly cheap, comes out quickly (at least it does when you pop in at 11pm)

Family's is a staple among the Fairbanks community. Their friendly service and wide variety of food means anything you're craving at anytime you can find it there. It is one of my top 3 places to eat in Fairbanks. Their last frontier breakfast skillet is phenomenal. Would recommend for anyone in the area. If you don't know what you want to eat, go to Family's.

Finally, an Alaskan restaurant with reasonable prices AND tasty food! Hubby ate Eggs Benedict and really enjoyed the fresh, home-made Hollandaise sauce and they used sourdough bread as the base. Very flavorful. I had one of the breakfast skillets and it was more than I could eat. Sourdough was one of the toast options-yum. Good coffee with smiley, friendly service. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is the smokiness inside. They offer a non-smoking section too, but the smoke smell was strong at the front door and only slightly less so in the far corner where we were seated. This place is open 24-hours. Lots of menu options, so we'll most likely try lunch or dinner there while in town.

I have no idea how anyone can rate this place better than a one star. Not a single thing is made in house. Everything is precooked frozen then just reheated. There is a smoking and non smoking side but either way your going to be chocking on the cigarette smoke. Which might explain why this place has such high reviews because the smokers flock here and can’t taste a damn thing.
