REVIEWS OF 20320 Alaskan Grill IN Alaska

This was a restaurant in the midst of the cruise hotel. Felt like a generic full service American chain. Service was nice and helpful, but food was just ok.

Michelle Blumin

My sister and I ordered ribs and we were very underwhelmed. Mine were very dry and I couldn't eat them, ordered the fish and chips instead which came out as expected and quickly, which we appreciated. Blueberry pie was good.

Sara McCaffree

This is for breakfast. We all ordered biscuits with our meals and I ordered a side of gravy. It wasn't until our food came out that we were informed the were no more biscuits and they'd also run out of gravy. That speaks both to bad service AND horrible mismanagement of the kitchen (biscuits and gravy being one of their staple menu items). Crispy bacon was still raw in places. "Blueberry pancakes" means pancakes with a few blueberries plopped on top. Very disappointing for one of two restaurants on property. Oh, and we got charged for the non-existent gravy.

Food ok, waiter's wonderful, attentive, accurate, will return

Dark, caters to cruise ship people who get their food on paper plates. Salmon sandwich was dry, homemade chips were limp and bland. Waitress was pleasant.

Ordered the salmon skillet for breakfast and was disappointed with the portion size. Not to mention the food came out barely warm. Stick to the oatmeal or fruit here

The service was good. Moriah, our waiter was very nice. I ordered the cheese curds and burger. The burger was a frozen patty and did not taste good.

Service was decent and the only good thing to say about this breakfast. Salmon skillet sounds amazing but oh boy was it a swing and a miss! Don’t recommend this place for breakfast

Brenda McWaters

Great food in a building which fit in to the surroundings in Denali National Park.

The the service was extremely slow the waitress was incompetent. what food would that was delivered was inedible or wrong. The waitress still expected a tip from us even though we had vouchers that said the princess was going to pay for the tip for this terrible meal. When the waitress asked how the meal was and we said it was the worst that we had ever had she thanked us for our patients and then presenting the bill in and expected an additional tip.

We went here twice, for lunch and for dinner. Lunch was decent, I really enjoyed the Gourmet Grilled Cheese (the “house made chips“ were a bit burned, though). We also tried the Flatbread, which was great. So, with a relatively positive impression, we decided to return for dinner. However, things went downhill from here. The Reindeer Poutine was still ok, but pretty salty and oily – cheese curds in a poutine are not supposed to be fried. The Cheesesteak Sandwich was easily the worst I’ve ever had – no way was it served with “house made pepper jack cheese sauce”. It rather reminded me of some manufactured Habanero Cheez Wiz that you can buy at the grocery store. Terrible taste and way too spicy (and that’s coming from someone who loves spicy food), you couldn’t taste anything of the meal but this obnoxious concoction of processed cheese. Also, the service at dinner time seemed a bit lackluster and not particularly friendly. Luckily, the dessert, Blueberry Pie, was nice and saved the evening from becoming a total failure.

Good option while staying at the lodge. We did the beer tasting here with Mahoney and had an amazing experience and recommended some other great places to try in the other cities we were visiting. Had dinner here as well and the gourmet grilled cheese was great as well as the s'mores dessert. The dessert was small for. the price tho.

this is for dinner and breakfast. feels and tastes like a major chain grill restaurant with a captive audience. it’s one of two options on site and the other is closed. this is near end of season. breakfast eggs were dry, dinner the salmon was over cooked. corporate influence up the cruise chain means there’s little incentive to improve or try new things

Eric Woerner

Excellent breakfast and coffee. Only a little more expensive than lower 48. Don't know about lunch or dinner.

gavin mimi

Food was excellent. Wait time wasn't bad. Staff was very friendly. Benjamin was our waiter for dinner one night and breakfast the next morning. He remembered us. Very good at his job.

All said and done, it was pretty good. Waiter was awesome and really took care of us. Both my nephews ordered lemonADE major emphasis on the ADE. Waiter brought it out and first one, then the other made pucker faces saying it didnt taste like lemonade... I tried the older ones lemonade... tasted like lemon juice, not freshly squeezed mind you, but like generic brand (Kroger?) bottled lemon juice. Waiter switched it out for Sprites with no issue and took off the kids drinks from the bill for the issue. He also let us know that it is the manager's recipe and they have to serve it. Personally, I like lemon juice, but if you dont, I wouldnt order the lemonade.

Diane Jorstad

Noisy, food overdone.

Out of a lot of menu items. Didn't serve items as described in the menu. Food I finally decided on came cold in the middle. Service not so great either.

Tena Shannon

These breakfast dishes are like Alaska...big. You won't leave hungry if you dine here.

Susan Cooper

Prime rib was great, seasoned and cooked perfectly! Menu was quite reasonably priced, as well, with a variety dishes.

Jose Carrillo

One of the few options at the Lodge. Were very quick in seating you and seemed very staff. Menu is smaller with lots of "pub style" options. Salmon chowder is great!
