Fine folks, from owner's to employees. These guys lay out quite the spread of home cookin'... somewhat reasonably priced. I had 2 picky eaters w/me that also have some cognitive delays. Felt rushed to help them make decisions regarding their food while also selecting my own. People skills.

Almost always a long wait, as in 30 minutes or more, but always worth it. Very friendly staff, and the food is some of the best southern style food I've ever had. I highly recommend this place, as the food is amazing, but be prepared to stand in line for a good while.

Awesome southern style cooking. The fried chicken, vegetable casserole, and chicken salad are all excellent. It stays busy but the line moves quickly. Don't make a rookie mistake trying to go through the front door go around to the back door where you will be greeted by one of the friendliest ladies you'll ever meet and get in line because it is worth it.

Might just be me! The Zacks in Dothan will NOT be getting my business no more! I ordered a to go order and they left my desert out then my fish was Luke warm temp! The owner got on the phone and begins to explain how he doesn’t see how the fish could even be cold then I told him about my desert was left out, he says oh those sort of things happen with to go orders! Well, I will gladly take my 11.00 to go money some where else next time! Not everyone is looking for a handout! It’s nothing wrong with showing appreciation to those who support your business!

Great place! The line starts in the back of the building. They have different meats and vegetables daily. The line moves quickly so don’t let it scare you away. We stopped driving through and it was great!

This is the best food on the planet!! I have been back here so many times, I could not even begin to count. If you love down south, home cooked meals, this is your stop. I love the fried chicken, field peas, fried okra, cornbread, turnip greens, peach cobbler, and sweet tea. That is just a smidgen of their menu. Please go down and give them a try. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

Old fashion Dinner Style buffet similar to Morrison's... Just missing 5g3 blue plate special. Two options, Meat with 2 sides or Meat with 3 sides, both comes with drink and only $1 to add a GREAT side of fresh vegetables. 5 STAR for Vegetable!!! Every Vegetable side I had was fresh cooked and tasted great. Mash potatoes were homemade and delicious. 5 STAR for cake... One of the best Red Velvet cake slices I've ever had. 4 STAR for Meats, very good. 3 STAR for Ice Tea, made well BUT cheap tea taste... They serve fresh veggies but scripted on tea? 2 STAR Dinnerware .It's all styrofoam. At least you can get your own to go box. #THE BAD... #1 This place forms a line quickly with no good place to stand. Servers are slow. I think they should add more pre-made bowls like the older diners like Morrison's did to speed things up. #2 Service, except being seated to an area and given our drinks, we never had anyone returned for refill or check if anything was needed. #3 I think they need a no meat Veggie option, 4 sides at ½price? +++. Even with faults, I highly recommend this place if you want good, home cooked food! This is the best place in Dothan for this type of restaurant!

This is the best place in the world. I’m moving from Dothan and I’m devastated I wont be Able to go anymore. The food is AMAZING. Seriously. Every single dish. Always hot and fresh. The staff is absolutely lovely. I will Dream about the banana pudding till the day I die.

First time experience First off, I'm a little biased on the southern home cooking front. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is inviting, but definitely plan to be there before lunch because this place gets packed fast. One meat four sides, to include an option of salad, dessert and common southern side dishes. I skipped desert and got a salad with three side dishes; however four desserts could be your plate if you wanted it to be. $10.45 for your lunch. It's well worth it.

I really like the food here. Every time I go to Dothan Al. I have to get me a plate!! It was very confusing the first time I went, if you are eating there, you enter from the back door but if you are getting a plate to go, you enter thru the front but once I mastered that, it was on from there, lol!! The crew is alway busy trying to get the to go plates out but they will stop to acknowledge your needs. Great people, an excellent place to eat, with delicious food. 5 ☆

I'm not a reviewer who quickly says that a place is, "Just like home cooking". But this place IS just like home cookin'. Very good! Never had anything but a great meal there. The only reason l don't give it five stars is that the parking can be quite tight at peak hours which can make it a little tough to get in and out. Oh yeah...and why no Saturday lunches?! That's my favorite day to go out for a family meal.

Tons of food in the plate. Meat and 4 is the big plate, meat and three is an option. Can get a dessert as one of the four. Come in the back door to join the line. Good service, good food.

Very good food, southern style. Lots of people eat here at lunch but the line moves fast. Many, many good choices to choose from (usually 4 meats, 10 veggies, 4 desserts, and 2 different breads). Drinks are included with meals. Attentive waitresses. Less than $20 for 2 people and you'll probably be bringing some home! Very generous portions!

Hard to find parking at times but after eating here I see why. Friendly staff and owners. They are on the ball with great service. Food was exactly what I needed to remind me of good home cooking like my grandma used to make. Daily they offer different items but don't be fooled by that statement, the menu isn't limiting. Wide variety of entrees and sides. I can see why this place is a local favorite.

Service was off the charts. It was packed to the brim when we arrived, line all the way to the door, yet they had everyone very organized and had food at a table in a short amount of time. Got a plate full and a belly full. Despite the surplus of customers we were tended to very well, never ran out of drink and had what we needed. Great place to visit.

This was my first time in Alabama and I wanted to try southern food. The replace was recommended by a local. Walked in and the place was packed. Cafeteria style. The line is long but it moves quickly. Don't be discourage by it. Food is worth it. Plenty of options. Had the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, yams, biscuits and banana cream dessert. Delicious. Staff was very friendly and service was great. Never had to request a refill. The place is only open during 10:30 to 2:30. Will be back if I find myself in Dothan.

Great Southern cooking at it's best! Huge selection of the freshest meats and vegetables correctly cooked and seasoned. Very courteous servers will not let your tea glass or water get empty. Even if you find the lines long they are setup to handle crowds quickly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

HOLY STYROFOAM! the food was good, but my plate & everyone else had 4-5 Styrofoam dishes on it. They could fill up Lake Tolocco in a year by themselves....if you care at all about the land ... you wont eat here till they at least use supplies that wont linger for a millennia....
