Man, I visited this restaurant several months ago and have not been back. Most of the food seemed from a can. They were out of most of the things I wanted to order this particular day. Crowded and noisy. Wait staff seemed unorganized and extremely slow to refresh glasses or check on us. I hope it was just the crowd volume that day. Atmosphere was great. We had a large high table which made up for the other areas of concern. If you go here you probably want to get there before the crowd.

It is a busy place for lunch, and probably for good reason. I had a cheese burger. It was pretty good, nothing spectacular, but the service was great and everyone there is very warm and welcoming. I did see other plates of some kind of lemon something chicken. Looked and smelled good as It past my nose holes. I was given a frown from the lady who's plate it belonged too... apparently reaching for a stranger's food is not polite... I thought I was being sneaky... Go try the place out. Food was good, service was good. We were there for breakfast and the staff tried to keep up with the coffee refills but customer service got in the way. I would recommend a coffee station with a container(s) like the ice tea so folks can pour their own coffee, if they want. It wouldn't replace the existing service, but would be a supplement for those who drink copious amounts of coffee in the morning, like me.

Bad experience...I went to lunch there and they first put me at a dirty table and then I asked for the meat and three the waiter said they were out of meat but other customers were coming in after me getting the same meal I requested and I waited 30 min for lunch and the only thing I received was a glass of tea. I was very disappointed with my first experience here

Very slow service. Very popular and busy. Couldn't even find a parking spot. Waitress didn't know the menu. Had to ask for a menu they were so busy. Long wait for a table. Out of several items on the menu and had to re order. Food was dry and burned. Portion sizes very small. Several in my party complained about food quality. Prices ok but not great. Wouldn't recommend to others.

The Yellow Gamer is right by the base and the food is like it came out of your grandmother's kitchen. It was a meet and two or three. Also the jalopeno biscuits are out of this world. We had to get an extra one they are so good. They had the food out really and hot. Do check them out and leave with a full stomach.

Shrimp n Grits. The highlight of my usually dull and dreary week. Every Wednesday....extra shrimps and extra cheese make these happy lil guys swim swim in my belly. Yum yum. Absolutely one if the best dishes in town and one if the best things you'll ever put in your mouth.

Delicious meat and three for lunch. Some of the staff can be very rude however. Had a bad experience today where a hostess was asking the entire restaurant who owned a particular car in the parking lot. I quietly asked the folks I was eating with "I wonder what's wrong with that car." She turned around and told me "Nothing is wrong with it, Calm Down!" Other patrons heard her speak that way to me, and it was rather embarrassing. She soured what was a nice lunch. Will return, but will avoid her.

I had been wanting to try this place for a long time, Sorry I made it there!! Bust on me, I should have given the manager a chance to fix it, but I didn't and will not be back. Onion rings were good, service was not, all 3 hamburgers were overdone, coke zero out, first batch of fries were cold second batch were hot but severely overseasoned, wrong cheese on my daughters cheese burger. The waitress did take my wife's burger off the ticket. Better luck to anyone else.

I was actually really impressed by the meal I had- Pulled pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and banana pudding were all delicious! They accomodated a large party (10) and everyone was happy with their meals. The BBQ sauce must be a honey mustard style and it's great. Tried the fried okra, sweet potatoes, and corn nuggets and it seemed like anything you order will be fantastic. Only downside is that food takes a little while during rush hours but it's worth it.

The food here was great, but I was disappointed because we came in around 11 for brunch and smelled pancakes, so we all started looking at the breakfast menu, only to find out they stopped serving breakfast at 10:30. Had my heart set on what I was smelling, so it was upsetting. I've never heard of a diner like that to stop serving breakfast. Anyway, the food we got was really good!

Meat and 3 done right. Enormous portions of deliciously seasoned and cooked to perfection southern food. Amazing Pork Tenderloin, Fried Chicken, and a slew of other meat options on a rotating menu. Acre Peas are a MUST order item. Sweet fluffy moist cornbread. Plenty of breakfast and lunch menu items as well. Fast friendly table service and a quick meal. A solid addition to my regular haunts.

Food is pretty good, Service is Horrible! I wouldn’t come back because of that reason. Took our food and drink order and never saw our waitress (JF) again. Apparently there are no refills on drinks here either . Another Lady brought our food , and my husband ordered the yellow hammer burger. It had meat, cheese, and bacon on it. No fried green tomatoe as specified on the menu. He also ordered onion rings , and his order had very little onions rings . The lady that brought the food said there were more cooking in the back , and these were just to start him off. Never saw the rest of those onion rings . You can tell the people who work here have there favorites, but if your not a regular there be prepared for

I'm not sure where the negative reviews are coming from!Our group was greeted with a huge smile a little after 6am. Coffee was good, and the prices were very fair. Food was great- biscuits and gravy only $5!I was really, really looking forward to some biscuits and gravy, so that's what I ordered. What I got was salty white sauce with a few bits of sausage, accurately reflecting the $5 I paid for it

I stood beside the "Please Wait to Be Seated" sign four at least 4 minutes before anybody acknowledged me. The food was very tasty. The portion size was adequate but on the small size. But the service didn't improve. I finished the last half if my meal with an empty tea glass; I finally got up and got my own straw, and I had to ask twice for lemon. During the entire meal, several young girls loitered around the cash register. I think it was my first and last visit.

What a wonderful staff and amazing food. Has become my place to go for lunch in the downtown Montgomery area. Tea glass stays full, food is quickly served even at their busiest time of day, the speed of the food doesn't take from the flavor either. Definitely enough to fill you up with their serving sizes. If you haven't tried yellowhammer now is the time to go.

The service is friendly and fast. The portions are generous, but sometimes the food is over seasoned, very salty. If you are on a low sodium diet I would suggest asking to sample sides such as the peas, beans, and casseroles. I find that these sides tend to be the most heavily salted. Otherwise the food is really good.
