Food was pretty good. It came to the table much faster than expected. Most of the food was good some items were very salty such as the pinto beans, the fried green tomatoes, the hash brown casserole. Macaroni and cheese with a little dry but the chicken and dumplings, turnip greens, sweet potato casserole and the house salad was good. As far as the entrees go pot roast was okay Fried Chicken was good and smells good chicken tenders or so so and the salmon patties were jumping. They were a nice thick size I would definitely go back and just for that. Not a lot of variety on the menu but just enough to make a decision and for everything to be good

Im sure employees are supposed to eat/break away from customers dining area. Higher rating would have been given if not for this since we had no privacy in our table area since he was sitting so close to us!

Drove by while the restaurant on the way to AMC cinemas. Considered it for dinner after the movie. Good choice! The 4 of us each enjoyed a veggie plate. All different and all good southern style veggies served with fresh cornbread. What's not to like? Our neighbors enjoyed the baked chicken and pot roast. Excellent they said. Ample servings at a reasonable price with prompt service. A nice treat for us out of towners from Nashville.

I read about this restaurant from reviews by others and had to try it. It is conveniently located in an old Ruby Tuesday location with plenty of parking. What makes it special is its great food. I had the meatloaf and thought it was perfectly cooked. The veggies were especially well seasoned and very tasty. This place, in my opinion, has better food than the competition and for a great price.

Food is a fancier version of meat and three at Blue Plate. I personally prefer blue plate over Walton's. Walton's cost a few bucks more and has a nose up crowd. Decent food and portion.

Got the meatloaf 3 veggies ....and strawberry pretzel salad to go .....very much enjoyed it .....only thing is the fried okra tasted old ....it was right at 1pm so we werent at a bad time ....this place was packed and i DEFINITELY will be back but im thinking closer to 12noon so the okra can taste fresher....other than than loved it

Had my mothers 60th birthday at Waltons and the service was wonderful!! We had a very good waitress that accommodated all our needs. All the staff was friendly! The FRIED GREEN TOMATOES WERE SO YUMMY! Can't thank them enough for making our dinner GREAT! Recommend HIGHLY!

Wow! If your looking for good ole southern style cooked food, this is definitely the place to go. Menu is easy to read, over 15 vegetable items to choose from, & main meat/fish plates to choose from. Loved the Fried Green Tomatoes as they had just a little extra kick of spice flavor on them. Price for 5 people was under $50.00 dollars which includes best ice tea/refills.

Menu is somewhat limited, but the food is great! Servers are friendly, professional, efficient, and (best of all) there when you want them--without hovering. We had Wendy today; she did superbly. If you like excellent Southern food well served, this is the place. Highly recommended. Try it once, you'll be back!

Good place to go when you need some comfort food in your life! My rosemary chicken was less than impressive though. It tasted and looked as if it had been under a heat lamp for a very long time. The hashbrown casserole was much better and I would consider coming here for that item alone. My black-eyed peas were ok but someone was very heavy handed with the pepper shaker. I finished up with a coconut creme pie that was NOT good...it was mostly coconut and I felt like I was chewing shredded carrots or something...I would return here amd maybe just try some sides for dinner. Also, service was mediocre.

I had the southern fried chicken, and it had a horrible seasoning on the skin. I much prefer COL. Sanders! The fried Okra was fair, as was the cornbread. My wife had the meatloaf, and rated it poor to fair. However...the carrot cake was outstanding. Bottom line: we would go back for carrot cake dessert only.

I love this place! Unfortunately it's 40 miles from my home but anytime I have an appointment in Huntsville I take advantage of the time. Love the Salmon Patties. Couldn't choose between Meatloaf and Salmon so I ate Salmon in the restaurant and got Meatloaf to go for tomorrow's lunch. Thomas was a great friendly polite server.

Stopped by on our way home from our Florida vacation. It was so worth the 20 min drive out of our way. The food was amazing and the staff superior above all others. Nia was wonderful. Stopped by on our way home from our Florida vacation. It was so worth the 20 min drive out of our way. The food was amazing and the staff superior above all others. Nia was wonderful. FOOD IS AMAZING!!!!! I ordered the meat loaf plate with mac and cheese, hash brown casserole, and fried green tomatoes. The meat loaf was very good you got a nice sized portion as well. The mac a cheese just melts in your mouth, and the fried green tomatoes are amazing. But they are a little spicy. But the fried green tomatoes come with a sauce that is really good. With you meal you get a side of cornbread or roll, I got the corn bread it was some of the best corn bread I have every had. The plating of the food was very professional. The waitress was very kind. The prices are a plus to. you get so much food for very little. This is a very good restaurant you should defiantly try it. I will be back again.

Jo-Jo (nickname) our waitress was fantastic. Very patient, gave us advice, described what different food flavors were like, etc. First time here for us. Handicapped parking full, so wife double parked our SUV, so I could get into wheelchair. On my request, seated in booth and they handled wheelchair up to the front. I had the fish which was excellent along with fried tomatoes, mashed potatoes, and extra hushpuppies. I did ask for extra tartar sauce, she brought me 2, I ate all three. Wife had chicken, she rarely gives so many good comments, must have been excellent. Best of all she said was the cold strawberry salad. Yummy. We will go back.

But to my satisfaction it was replaced with their southern fried chicken which I was pleased with. And FYI,....the sweet potato casserole is by far the best I ever had.

This place has gone rapidly downhill. It used to be great. The decor is turning shabby (split booth seats, dust, etc). The kitchen and wait staff don't have a clue what's going on. I sent my order back 3 times because it was incorrect. When they finally gave me the correct food, it was burned and inedible. What wasn't too burned to eat was unseasoned and nasty. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to make mashed potatoes people, but they couldn't do that right either. My husband requested a steak knife 3 times and still never got one. Apparently you're expected to eat with your hands like a savage. Don't waste your time with sub-par hospital food like this!

I can not say enough good things about my visit here. It was my first visit and I will for sure visit again. I had the fried catfish and it was delish. The hushpuppies had a surprising heat to it. I like spicy things so I loved it. My table also ordered grilled chicken breast and Chicken and Dumpling (not that great) and a variety of vegetables. There oakra was so good I may just order it by its self next time! The pinto beans were also on point. One person I was with recommended this place and has been several times with groups of people and their menu is so large everyone was happy, and that's hard to find!

The overall atmosphere was great, my significant other and I only waited 3 minutes to be seated even thought it was a bit busy. The food was like no other restaurant. I had Kala's Grilled chicken topped with 2 of their signature fried green tomatoes. With that I the choice to pick 3 sides. The fired green tomatoes were thin and crispy, add a little hot sauce for a kick and they are good to go. The grilled chicken was tender and flavorful. The bacon and cheese is a nice touch.

This place did a steady business but got real busy at dinner time. You might need to factor that in. Prices were reasonable. We enjoyed visiting with family and our meal. No rush. The meat loaf was fantastic. I had the Rosemay chicken salad and it was delicious. You need to check this place out.

We were traveling from a small logging community in Oregon and needless to say we have about as much chance of finding authentic southern food there as finding a pork restaurant in Mecca. One of my travel goals was to experience authentic southern food, even as simple as southern fried chicken which is unheard of in Roseburg, OR. Walton's met and exceeded my expectations. I had the Southern Fried Chicken, Fried Okra, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Turnip Greens. It was fabulous (though I did horrify them when I refused to put sugar in my tea)! Our waitress, Portia was friendly, attentive and never let a glass get below half full! Whenever I return to Huntsville in the future, this will be a "must stop" for us.

My husband and I decided to try Waltons late Saturday afternoon on Dec 22. Guys we were NOT disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious, very FRESH and well prepared! I was impressed by the immaculately maintained interior and exterior. All the tables and seats were solid and clean. The walls were clean, the wooden window blinds were CLEAN! Not even a speck of dust on overhead decorative lamps! Did I mention the food was delicious? Glenn was our server and he was top notch, explained the menu well and went over ingredients in our choices. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience at a great price! We will be back and I'm recommending you to everyone!

Walton’s Southern Table is my favorite restaurant in Huntsville by far. Their Chicken and Dressing is delicious (I get it every time I go) and every single side I have gotten is amazing. My favorites are the hash brown casserole, sweet potato casserole, and the strawberry pretzel salad. •The atmosphere is great, everything is nice and clean. It feels upscale without being too stuffy. •Food service is always prompt, and the food is always hot and fresh anytime my family and I go! The last two times I went I had a few issues with a specific waitress. Management quickly reached out to me and let me know they were taking care of it. I was very impressed with their level of customer service.

Chicken and dressing is really good. Turnip greens and sweet potato casserole go really well with it too! It's like Thanksgiving at your grandmother's house any day you want it.

If you like southern cooking, you will love this place. Super friendly staff from the moment you walk in the door. Nearly all booths. Very comfortable and roomy. Parking is good. This place did a steady business but got real busy at dinner time. You might need to factor that in. Prices were reasonable. We enjoyed visiting with family and our meal. No rush. The meat loaf was fantastic. I had the Rosemay chicken salad and it was delicious. You need to check this place out.

Ate dinner before the Doo Wop Concert (which was fabulous BTW) for the first time, with friends. Our handsome server GLENN was wonderful!! The food was fantastic! Had the Chicken & Dumplings and two sides. Great time!!

Service was okay, the waitresses have to many tables. Food was unseasoned, dry, reminded me of fast food to be honest. Not worth the price they charge.

We were traveling from a small logging community in Oregon and needless to say we have about as much chance of finding authentic southern food there as finding a pork restaurant in Mecca. One of my travel goals was to experience authentic southern food, even as simple as southern fried chicken which is unheard of in Roseburg, OR. Walton's met and exceeded my expectations. I had the Southern Fried Chicken, Fried Okra, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Turnip Greens. It was fabulous (though I did horrify them when I refused to put sugar in my tea)! Our waitress, Portia was friendly, attentive and never let a glass get below half full! Whenever I return to Huntsville in the future, this will be a "must stop" for us.

My husband and I decided to try Waltons late Saturday afternoon on Dec 22. Guys we were NOT disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious, very FRESH and well prepared! I was impressed by the immaculately maintained interior and exterior. All the tables and seats were solid and clean. The walls were clean, the wooden window blinds were CLEAN! Not even a speck of dust on overhead decorative lamps! Did I mention the food was delicious? Glenn was our server and he was top notch, explained the menu well and went over ingredients in our choices. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience at a great price! We will be back and I'm recommending you to everyone!
