Wife and i stopped by here to see a band. We didn't realize what a great we were in for. My wife got to get onstage with the band and sing backup for them for several songs. The service was great and the bartender and waitresses were super friendly. They seemed that they truly enjoyed their job. Anyway we stayed for several hours and felt like we'd known everyone there for years. Great.llace to meet and make friends

Divey bar (not a negative comment), cool for shooting some pool, grabbing some drinks and just chillin'. In Lakeview too so in close proximity to other frequently-visited places in case it's not for you. Cool back patio area, friendly staff, I can dig it for another drop-in.

Tin Roof is a cool enough venue for a concert, and the food is decent, but too expensive for what you're getting. The service is friendly, but takes ages. I wouldn't eat there again. I would suggest lowering the umbrellas outside over the tables so people can see the stage when a band is playing. It's a good size for a small show and seems like a fun place. I'd go again if a band I liked was there.

Cocaine in large quantities, beautiful ladies to dance, ok music, and of course, alcohol until you fall! It can become somewhat crowded at times but it’s worth a visit if you know someone. Drug-use does NOT apply to ME. I also don’t even drink alcohol, but when I was dragged to this place, I was SHOCKED to see the sheer volume of cocaine here! Like, can a cop please go undercover? Geez! Haha But seriously, these groups of ladies would slip into the bathroom together, many of these times I was brought along, and unbeknownst to me, they had BASEBALL-SIZED bags of cocaine, and they were freely snorting it up (huge “key-bumps”) with each other back to back. I’m already not much into the “club scene” but unless you want to one day get caught up in the eventual drug bust that will obviously take place one day, I suggest you stay away.

Fun place. I just wish they would open the bar that's outside. It takes too long to get a drink inside cause everyone just gathers around the bar. If the bar outside was open it would just be alot easier than fighting the crowd inside.

Pretty alright as far as bars go. Always a cover at night, usually $5. Always crowded at night too. Drinks aren't the cheapest. If you go earlier they have good food and do some food and drink specials and the outside area is nice in warmer weather when it's not shoulder to shoulder crowded.

This place is just OK. Expensive drinks and foods. On the weekend they proudly display the dress code that is just plainly discriminating against minorities. A while back before they renovated, in one of their booths was a photo of 3 black men: the middle of the photo was scraped off and 3 letters K were written. I know it's probably vandalism, but that photo stayed like that for quite a long time.

Tin roof was great on st Patty's day. It was my first time there and I loved the outside patio and live music. The draft beer selection isn't the best but you can find something you like and I tried the chicken nachos and they were really good. I will definitely be going back!

Friendly atmosphere. Didnt hurt that I knew 3 people, for a change. Feels a little antiseptic, but I'm a neat-nic. Karaoke is more intimate in bad weather due to being indoors, but on a nice day you can have a mini-concert featuring an intoxicated version of guess who.

An inside area where there is also live music so I liked it here.. Mostly also because they played music that I liked. I’m from a small city in Florida and haven’t been to a bar this big so for me this is really nice lol

My daughter and I just left. We went for an Incredibull Tuesday Night and LoCash played. It was an awesome concert, good food and great people. Someone broke a beer bottle on the ground and it was too crowded for it to have been swept up yet, my 3 year old cut her hand on it. There were two guys there that went out of their way to make her feel comfortable and get her booboo fixed up, their names are Courtney and Jarvis. Thank you guys, Marian and I appreciate it! This is not our first trip there and it will not be our last. Love this place! Keep up the great work!!!

Got their early so getting a private concert from a famous country singer is always nice. But the atmosphere is what your there for It was a sunny day when i went and i think they need better umbrellas as in one for every table so I'm not burning up trying to eat lunch. But overall I love it I'll be back

This place is awesome. They have a full bar, an absolutely delicious menu with tons of selections, and the best waitstaff around. The drinks have a generous amount of alcohol but I feel like the food is slightly overpriced for what you receive. Their outdoor patio seating is great and the live music for brunch is also really cool. Be careful when making plans, because the hours posted online contradict the ACTUAL hours of operation.

They like to tip themselves and not return the money. No word from managers that repeatedly attempted to contact on top of visiting the establishment to have this reconciled. I take pictures of my receipts. My bank is fixing this for me. Would not have posted anything if I had not been blown off by most of the staff. One waitress that is new attempted to assist me. Brunette who work that night and served me gave me attitude, naturally.

Fun venue for small concerts. I love how there is an inside stage, and outside stage, especially when they utilize them simultaneously. They always have some $2 shot special, served in a paper mouthwash cup. GREAT FOOD. Sucks being in my thirties and stuck paying a cover cause i went to a bar are 9:15 one evening. Place is always too busy!

Great staff and modest selection of beverages. Menu looks comparable to most bars that serve food too. Nachos, wings, fries, burgers; nothing mind blowing but everyone I've been with has been happy with what they ordered. Outdoor area with games and indoor space that doesn't feel cramped even when busy. The staff has always been attentive and helpful. Happy hour deals, and modest crowd make this a solid choice.

I, a female, accidentally went into the men’s restroom, and was physically assaulted by some random patron for entering the men’s restroom (I’ve never used the restrooms here, plus it was poorly labeled). Security threatened to throw me out if I didn’t show them my “d***” to prove I should be in the men’s restroom, which is was incredibly inappropriate and unnecessary!

It all depends on when you go. If you go when they have an event, bar crawl, party, concert, performance it is amazing. Cheap drinks large space with outdoor and indoor areas. The bar can get really busy during such times the is a solid B, however if it is busy of course it will be a while. If you come during the week for Karaoke or just a regular weekend you and your group can have the run of the place.

I recently went to Alabama for a work trip and got to experience the Tin Roof. What an awesome place. Great food, cold drinks and amazing staff. So fast forward to why this place gets a solid 5 star rating.. I managed to leave my sweater and work keys in the bar after enjoying too many adult beverages and I made it all the way back to Canada before noticing I had done so =/ I called the Tin Roof and Nicky answered. I asked if anyone came across such an item. Right away she rushed to go check and sure enough someone had turned it in. With that awesome friendly southern accent she assured me that I would be reunited with it soon. She even sent it back to me free of charge with a free t-shirt. I was amazed by the service I had received. Such a great place and such awesome people. When I decide to come back to Birmingham I will make sure to stop in for another fun filled night. I highly recommend this place!

Tin Roof has a great Mixed crowd. They have bands inside and did outside to cater to all. The drinks were good and reasonably priced. Security is attentive and work quickly to eliminate potential problems. The patrons are friendly. I haven't had this much fun in a long time.

Didnt know a 20 year old couldnt come in....especially when theyre with a group of 15 over 25year olds. Our entire group went around the corner and spent our money elsewhere.
