This place is busy for a reason. It is a prefect place for breakfast/brunch. We were able to get seated quickly with a party of 12! Delicious food and pleasant southern service. The French Truck coffee they served was good, even for this coffee geek. I bought a pound to go.

Hands down my favorite restaurant!! I love their monthly specials. I aim to try them all! Their stuffed French toast is always so perfect. Their cheese scrambled eggs are fluffy and fresh. I love their drinks too! You can’t go wrong with the pomegranate mimosa or the Irish Coffee! YUM

Arrived and the place is super cute but had an a weird odor. We were greeted warmly and sat promptly. We ordered our food. I ordered eggs over medium and asked she make sure the whites were fully cooked. Our food arrived and the egg whites were not cooked. Also the food was not hot. She made me another plate but every one was done eating by the time it arrived. Also the egg whites were runny again. I ended up eating my daughter’s left overs. I ate alone and did not get to enjoy the meal I ordered. My coffee sat empty the entire time. Overrated in my opinion.

I love Ruby Slipper. I always eat RS when I go to New Orleans and was so happy to see a location in Orange Beach. I love their food and flavor combinations. We got the pancake flight with the cinnamon swirl, the goo goo cluster and the bacon praline. The cinnamon swirl is amazing. The benedicts were both really good, i could have used a little more sauce, since biscuits are a little drier than an english muffin or other breads. The Banana Foster French Toast was probably my families favorite. Oh So GOOD! Such good bread, such good flavor. I could eat that everyday...I shouldn't, but I could. Got grits and potatoes on the side. The servers were super friendly and really nice to our kids. I loved every bite.

Wish I could give it zero stars .it was a busy day but we waited over an hour after placing order for cold food . Only one of our 4 meals was even warm . Our server gave us a food and never came back over . Cups were dirty and plastic seems like hand washed but not well . My Ruben was cold and soaggy and fries were ice cold like not even remotely warm . My son got a cinnamon pancake and couldn’t even get through two bites it was so cold again would have told server but she never came back until check time at that point we were annoyed and just wanted to leave it ruined our entire day

Liked the atmosphere and menu. If you're doing the pancake flight, might need to share, there is a lot there and rich. Lots of Eggs Benedict options too. Favorite was the Cinnamon Roll pancake. Also recommend their staple latte!

A bit pricey, but the food was great. Although, I did notice that the portion size varied quite a bit. Someone at the next table ordered the same thing and the portions on his plate were significantly larger. If I'm going to pay $20 for two poached egg crab cakes, I expect them to be of substantial size. I found their slogan "You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning" to be insightful & hilarious! Their drinks are good, but also kinda pricey. However, an interesting variety of originals becons them to be tasted. Service was friendly, attentive & pleasant. It was quite crowded on a Saturday morning and the wait time was about 20 minutes. They text your phone when your table is ready.

Always amazing!! No matter which location I visit. My family is orginally from Louisiana, so Ruby Slippers is a go to for breakfast on many occasions. The food came out quick, and everything was great. I tried the peacemaker and got the chicken st. Charles and shrimp boogaloo Benedicts and they were awesome! Would defintely reccomend! My only suggestion would be that you use yelp to get in line because its always busy!

This was a very enjoyable brunch experience for me. The service was very good. The coffee was hot and strong. I ordered the Peacemaker. The corned beef and chicken fried steak variety were my choices. I loked them both. The restaurant was clean and well lit and I liked the location.

We were passing through headed back to Atlanta and we definitely chose the perfect spot. The food, the staff, the mimosas were all perfect. We went during Sunday brunch and told it would be a 30 min wait...it was more like 15. I wish I remembered our waiters name but he was an excellent server. Very attentive with a wonderful personality and attitude. The fried green tomatoes were everything! Definitely check them out if you're in the area

In short, I am both an amateur chef and can be rather hard to please (and get along with according to my sweet bride), but this place is utterly fantastic! The service was great and the menu has been well thought out with a wonderful variety which my wife and I fully intend to sample over the next several visits since it was prepared just as good as it looks on the menu! First discovered the Ruby Slipper at it's original location in New Orleans, and this location in Orange Beach was just as good. Had their Peacemaker Benedict and would highly recommend since it gives you the choice of two signature benedict's, I had the Cochon and the Blackstone and both were perfect. The biscuits were really dense but full of flavor and the eggs were poached perfectly. I would highly recommend.

If you want a unique, delicious breakfast then this is the place to go. I have never been disappointed in anything I have had off the menu and the service has always been really good. Prices are a little on the high side but the quality and portions make it worth it.

Stopped at Ruby Slipper on our way home from a weekend beach trip and LOVED everything! Service and food were great. We didn't mind having to wait, they were busy, but kept the crowd moving. Food portion size was great and the mimosa specials were delicious. Everything was wonderful!

A bit of a wait as we expected arriving between 1145 and noon for Sunday brunch. Dedicated walk up bar helps with the wait although the Bloidy Mary's were quite spicy. Waited about 40 minutes as warned. The menu is amazing with incredible variety for breakfast lunch and brunch. We did not utilize our wait time looking over the menu so we still needed plenty of time to consider our options when seated. The server was very cordial and agreeable with the wait for us to order. The server had no additional help so my water went unfilled far too long. I ordered a three meat omelet with cheese and purple onion. It was fantastic and nowhere near as bland as most omelets I've ordered. A solid 5* omelet. I chose cheese grits over the potato or fruit sides. The taste was great but the grits weren't even hot enough to melt the shredded cheese. The biscuit that came with the meal was a "cat's head biscuit," soft and doughy and weighing (a lot) more than a loaf of bread. Tasty though! My wife ordered the Southern Breakfast with 2 eggs OE, crisp bacon, cheese grits, fried green tomato and a huge biscuit. She was happy with eggs and bacon (after sopping up some excess cooking oil/butter from the eggs with her paper napkin). She had the same problem as I did with the grits. The fried green tomato was good and her biscuit went untouched. I was close to giving Ruby Slipper a 3 star rating but the food and drinks are too good to do so. If a 3.5 rating was available I'd have chosen it. How hard is it to serve hot grits?

This is connected to the Red Slipper in New Orleans. The menu isnt as extensive but the food is great. Would have given a higher rating but for the price. Ended up spending $30 plus for eggs benni, french toast, coffee and two eggs. Wait staff was great.

We went for the first time today. We were seated quickly. The food was extremely good. The portions were massive. My husband could barely finish his. We had praline pancakes, which were so unique and delicious. And I ordered the 3 piggys omelet. It was excellent as well. The biscuit it came with huge. My friend and I tried to eat at the Ruby Slipper while in NOLA, but there was always over an hour wait. When I saw there was one in Orange Beach, I had to try it. We went on a weekday, and got seated promptly. They have a great menu, including alcoholic drinks. I had the praline bacon pancakes, and my sister had eggs blackstone, which consisted of poached eggs over biscuits, with tomato, bacon and hollandaise sauce. Both meals were delicious. Portions were large, too large for us to finish. Service was excellent. Great stop for breakfast when in Orange Beach.

Came in July 14 around 7 am .Was greeted by hostess who was friendly and was helped by manger who got us a high chair . When our server came that’s when it went downhill.She had a horrible attitude didn’t seem interested in serving us felt as if she didn’t even want us in her section .5 stars for the hostess and manager .-2 stars for the server with a horrible attitude not sure what her name was because she didn’t have a name tag and failed to introduce herself but she had a curly hair that was worn in a puff .

The ruby slipper had an amazing Brunch! I had a Spanish Omelet which was delicious! My family ordered different thing and loved all of them. My favorite thing was on the kids menu though. It was a cinnamon sugar swirl pancake, which was to die for! I didn't like my pomegranate mimosa so much, but the bacon infused bloody Mary wa as really good! Also, the service was Fantastic! There was definitely a little wait of about 20 minutes at 11 on a Saturday, but it was well worth it!

We feel that this establishment is seriously overrated. Waitstaff very efficient and pleasant but both meals were lukewarm at best. Even cold in centers. A bit dry and skimpy on the corned beef hash with cold potatoes in center, and pork bit dry also. Poached eggs were room temp. We were not there during "rush hour" so no reason for food not being proper temp when served. If one does not do much cooking at home, it is just ok st best, but if you are looking for great breakfast, take a pass. You will save some $$

Went around 11. 15 minute wait. Chose outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Enjoyer by all. French toast came with bacon but had to add eggs, same for pancake plate and kids french toast. Would like to see a complete meal served instead of having to add on the eggs. Decent pricing. We also had the 3 little pig omlet. This was served as a complete meal. My son said the biscuit w/maple butter was good. We tried a side of the bacon candy as well.

If you like pancakes and Eggs Benedict you will have more choices than you can handle. We even had a mishap with some wet paint and they did everything they could to fix it. Unfortunately, our pig candy order didn’t make it in the bags and we also were unable to try the bananas foster due to the fresh sauce melting the styrofoam cup it came in. I hope we have another beach trip in our future and are able to try the Ruby Slipper Cafe again.

I love how the Benedicts are served on a biscuit instead of an English muffin giving it a more savory taste. Our server Brittany was exceptional and her recommendations were spot on! Great food, service, and atmosphere! We had 4 adults and 4 kids in our party. Our wait was only about 20 minutes with them being busy. We had a variety of foods and everything was spot on. Parking lot was small so we had to park across the street but not a big deal at all.

Fun atmosphere and our serving staff was very nice that’s what makes a 3 star vs 2. The bacon praline pancakes were just ok. The Benedict’s were pretty good- lots of food. However my daughter’s iced coffee drink had a hair in the whipped cream and my son found a hair in his hollandaise sauce The waitress replaced the coffee- but it should have been free and my son was done when he noticed the hair.

This is a fabulous place for breakfast or brunch. We had a party of 10 and our waiter Maurice was very helpful and patient with us. He told us their specials and his favorite dishes. He took good care of us. The coffee here is hot and fresh. Every dish our party had was delicious. I had the Hot-Smoked Salmon Bennie", it was very flavorful and cooked just right. I also tried a bite or 2 (or 3) of the French Toast, Shrimp and Grits, The Costa Rican (with black beans and fried plantains) I'll definitely be getting that again and also the "Candied Bacon"... Oh my goodness the candied bacon! If you are a meat eater this is a must have! Absolutely delicious! We were pleased with everything we tried and will be back for more.

Tip: We stopped by about 12:30pm and sat outside, and even though there was only a moderate breeze, it quickly cooled down my corned beef bene, so I need to remember that for next time, because I found myself wolfing down my food trying to eat it before it got cold (I failed).

We carried our daughter-in-law there for her birthday about 2 weeks ago. It was on a Saturday and the wait was about 1 hour and 15 minutes around lunch time. We strolled around downtown and enjoy the view while waiting when the convenience of a page that they would do when our table was ready. And sure enough when it was ready they let us know by way of the text message they sent saying that our table was ready. When we got inside we were seen it by a very nice waitress and she proceeded to give us excellent service and recommendations based on the menu. She also gave us a brief history of the restaurant which was very interesting. The food was delivered hot and very quickly. As we all begin to eat you could tell everyone was just delighted with a wonderful preparation and went into making our wonderful meal. We enjoyed it very much. Our waitress was very very nice to out our visit and we would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in downtown mobile that would like to have a great omelette.

We were on vacation in Orange Beach and saw this restaurant and decided to have breakfast there. What a great place, the selections were so plentiful it was difficult to choose. Our server helped us with that, and everything else I'll add, and we had a delicious meal. We highly recommend this place, you will be as satisfied as we were in sure. I think breakfast and brunch are all they serve but can't be sure...and if they do serve lunch and dinner I'm sure it would be very satisfying.

I can't say enough about this place! We visited on vacation and we had our friendly pit bull with us. It wasn't easy to find places to patron who welcomed her but the Ruby Slipper Cafe was a staple in our everyday brunch outting. We sat on the deck which was wonderful and the servers brought her a water bowl and came and greated her. The food was amazing but at that point we would've came everyday just for how welcoming and amazing the service and staff was. Definitely come if you are traveling with your 4 legged family member!

We hit brunch, and it was amazing. The Trifecta was out of this world--Benedict three ways. Bring your appetite if you order it, though! Kids had the pancakes, and their eyes were bigger than their stomachs. The pancake flight lets you try them each way. Bloody Mary's are tasty and loaded, not so spicy that you can't drink it. Perfect breakfast spot.

All of the Ruby Slipper locations have excellent food and an excellent selection of food. They are only open for breakfast and brunch. There are almost an endless selection of omelettes, eggs benedicts, and pancakes. You can make up your own combinations! They serve VERY large portions. The prices are reasonable. Be prepared to wait. All of them are popular and almost always have a waiting list.

The whole concept of blasting everything with over-the-top salty-sweet flavors may appeal to those with unsophisticated palates, but I did not enjoy my meal or experience there. Sorry. This place is not for me. I went there specifically for some eggs benedict which I have enjoyed at many restaurants. I did not enjoy it here. The "hollandaise" sauce had no subtlety - way too mayonnaisey/lemony. Do you always make it that way? You ruined it. THROW IT OUT AND TRY AGAIN UNTIL YOU GET IT RIGHT. The benedict mash-ups with everything under the sun are NOT good eats. Not recommended for civilized people. It may sound like a neat idea, but the sum of the parts ruins the whole. Slopping on shrimp, pulled pork, corned beef, or salmon is idiotic and ruined what could have been a fine plate of eggs benedict (if the sauce wasn't so screwed up). Get that stuff as a separate meal later. The cleanliness and quality of the ingredients was fine. The service was fine. The place was busy and loud as all heck (my fault for going on a Saturday brunch).

My wife and I went in for a light lunch/brunch about 10:30am trying to get to the beach on a nice day. No wait though it was crowded. I ordered a restaurant special Rueben, my wife got a restaurant special BLT. Neither were well-seasoned. Both seemed to be served on stalish bread. Either toast it or serve fresh please. The meat, lettuce and tomatoes were all piled up in the middle of the sandwiches. Spread that stuff out! The wait staff was social, with us and each other. Overall a solid C plus rating.

I was super excited to try all the eggs Benedict so we got 2 of the Peacemakers. It's where you can mix and match any 2Benedict. On one we got the Boogaloo shrimp, it came with very little sauce and only 3small shrimp, and the Hot Smoked Salmon which also came with very little sauce. On the other plate we had the Corned Beef which I liked and the Eggs Cochon which was VERY salty. The biscuits were really thick and tough on the outside, hence the need need for more sauce than provided. Overall it was just ok! I did see some other items that I would like to try on another visit. I hope it will be redemption for this visit or I won't be returning anymore.
