Check this place out!! Becoming a local pillar of new cuisine and freshness in dining. The "farm to table" idea is mastered and on display with their ever changing and always delicious menu! Throw on the wonderful staff and you can see why this place is always packed for lunch and dinner! Make reservations if possible! Really love this place!

It was just ok. The decor and atmosphere were cute and the service pretty good. I think I just expected more for the price. I ordered the Lamb Baby Back ribs, and while I expect ribs to be fatty, these were incredible outside of a little corner of meat I literally could only consume two bites. Thankfully, the waitress quickly offered to bring something else. This time I ordered the study shell crab. The sauce was tasty but it covered the crab which made it hard to distinguish the edible parts from the actual crab. With creole roots, I am well versed on how to eat crab. So, final verdict: Nice concept but a bit too fancy for this Southern girl. If I'm going to pay $18 for tapas, I need more than one or two bites. I left hungry... oh well

Downtown Mobile has so many great restaurants, and The Noble South is one of them! The restaurant has a delightful and chic interior, which incorporates the design of the building's old wood and brick into a stylish dining area. It is a really nice place to go for a date night, which is why my wife and I went there on Valentines Day.The food may be even better than the resturant's design, though! If you are into deviled eggs, you got to try the Noble South's with bacon and roe. We also really enjoyed the pepper jelly, which is served on top of a brie-like cheese (I don't know my cheeses, so I am doing my best to describe it). I got the grouper (which was fantastic), and my friend got the duck two ways (which was also fantastic). They also serve steaks, pasta, and many other types of meals. The Noble South constantly delivers on their dishes, which is why I come here often.

A 5 ⭐Star Experience at a Farm to Table restaurant in Mobile. Our waitress went above and beyond to please us. My husband ordered the Pickled Shrimp appetizer and he liked it so much, he asked if he could purchase the pickled marinate. Our waitress said yes, but also offered him the recipe. Our entrees were absolutely delicious, along with the 'over the top' desserts. We would certainly return.

Seated immediately, drinks and appetizer came on time, and it took the rest of the time we were there (1 1/2 hours !!!) for the entree to finally show up - we had it boxed to go as we had a show to go to at the Saenger of which we had notified the taciturn server when we arrived. THREE tables came after us and all were served their foods before we even got ours. Never again. the lone star for the appetizer that had the shrimp in it. It was very good - but good lord - saltine crackers to go with it?? Not even anything to soak up the broth.

Outstanding food. I visited Mobile for the week, and this was my favorite restaurant from the trip. Service was excellent, and the food was all superb. I ended coming twice. The first time was for lunch, which included a fried catfish with ancient grains salad and cornbread. The catfish was properly crispy, and the meat not overcooked. For dinner a few days later, I had the lamb, which my dinner companion called a "brontosaurus bone" due to the generous portion. I found that everywhere in Mobile served generous meat portions, with less vegetables than I am accustomed. The meat portions always seemed to be over half the meal, and I would prefer it the other way around.

I found this on google best places to have brunch. I wanted to take my mom out for her birthday after church and made reservations here for brunch you have to. We loved the decor and the vibe of the restaurant the staff was exceptional and we all ordered different items so we could sample each. My favorite was the sausage balls plus the mimosas or the poinsettas excellent places for family lunch or a dinner date with your honey plus it’s in heart of downtown so you get good food, great people and the flare of the city.

Chris and Miles have an awesome farm-to-table restaurant. The staff is always friendly, and the food is always fresh. Love going for lunch. If you go, their bacon, egg, and pimento cheese sandwich is a winner. And if you are on the hungrier side, I love their chicken thighs, brussel sprouts, and mac and cheese. Regardless, I have not had one thing on the menu that was not stellar.

Very unique restaurant. I like the menu because it is not overwhelming. We had the Nashville style chicken hearts and the goat dumplings. They were awesome. I'm looking forward to relocating to the area to eat at places like this. Bartender Emi was also awesome in giving recommendations. Second visit I ordered online and took back to my room. Again I ordered the hot chicken hearts and they are great, but have a kick. I ordered the beef cheeks this time and it's like eating a really tender roast. I really love this place and will eat here every time in Mobile. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I also like they source for local resources.

Great time on Sat morning for a Mardi Gras brunch hosted by Marlo and Wiley Blankenship. Began with outstanding Bloody Marys and hors d'oeuvres. Then brunch was an option of oysters benedict, huevos rancheros, fritattas, and others. Service was good even though there were 30-40 people there. Great food, great friends, and great times. Followed by the Sat Mardi Gras parades...

I ordered the vegetable plate with field peas, squash casserole, fried okra, and cucumber salad. Everything was delicious, down to the dressing that I dipped the okra in. The sweet tea was fresh and good. My husband ordered the meatloaf with macaroni and cheese. The meatloaf was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The macaroni and cheese was some of the best we’ve ever had. And they use locally sourced ingredients. The portions are large, we had to get a box to go. Will definitely be going back!

I loved the high ceiling in this place. The decor is simple and absolutely refreshing on the inside. The brunch drink I had was delicious, so I got a second one. You must try the biscuits; I highly recommend them. I really didn't know what a biscuit was suppose to be like until I had theirs. They source their meats and veggies locally so the menu changes. When I was there for brunch, I had something with grits and it was the best thing ever. I would return to this place if I could, but I was just passing through.

One of the worse meals I’ve had in Mobile. A piece of leathery fried fish on top of black tasteless hominy. A few raw cherry tomatoes for color. I’m embarrassed that’s what Southern cuisine resembles. Pathetic.

It's a good place for a light lunch, can be pretty expensive for dinner though. The service is ok, but even when it's not busy, the waiters/waitresses dont usually check on you, so you have to flag them down.

Charming, rustic, southern fare that is absolutely delicious. We had deviled eggs and pickled shrimp (a first for us) as starters, and tuna, shrimp and grits, and another fish dish for supper. The flavors were phenomenal! Get the shrimp and grits and finish it off with the pecan pie. They made my little one a grilled cheese!

The Noble South has very good food! It was a little on the $$$ side but it was worth it. The two of us ate for around $60 with a snack before dinner. The waiters where working really hard and kept glasses filled and little wait time for the food. If in the area this would be a good place to try.

For all gluten free people, this restaurant is not as gf friendly as they appear. I ordered their chicken orzo dish, which was gf as stated on the menu and by the waitress. Then the waitress comes back and says, actually it goes into the deep fryer so it is not completely gf. So, which is it? Is the dish gf or not? The rest of my family was served severely over-dressed salad and undercooked deviled eggs. Disappointing restaurant experience!

The atmosphere is warming and the food is outstanding. The service however is terrible. I sat at the bar for what seemed like an hour before anyone even acknowledged my presence. I finally ordered, waited another half hour, then was brought the wrong dish. Folks have bad days. I understand. I just didn’t feel welcomed until the staff realized I would spend money. Oh yea, and the dish I ordered... it was fabulous but took FOREVER to come out.

Had dinner there tonight and it is a good place in the heart of downtown Mobile. All was good except the redfish which was very fishy tasting. This was mentioned to our server and she said she was sorry, but nonetheless we paid the full price. Have eaten there several times before and our food was good. Have fished in LA for years and know good redfish.

Husband and I had dinner here on a Fri. The hostess seemed reluctant to seat us at 6pm without a reservation altho the restaurant had only one 2 seater taken. We liked the breadth of choices on the menu. I got wine and husband got beer. His roasted chicken was served over squash & risotto with excellent flavor. My shrimp and grits was also very good with bits of some smokey-flavored meat. For dessert we ordered the carrot cake which was a disappointment..it was more like a mildly sweet but dry nutty dense bread with a liquid topping. I thought about sending it back. Server didnt comment when I said we were disappointed since it was not a traditional carrotcake. It would have been nice to have been told about it. At this pricepoint I would have expected a nice sourdough bread and butter for the table. At this pricepoint I might have also expected a small mixed green salad. As others have noted, the chairs were steel and cheap and uncomfortable.

Great atmosphere, amazing food, and a staff who definitely take pride in their profession. As a farm-to-table restaurant their menu rotates, so the limited menu never leaves one bored. The beef tongue pot roast with demi glace was one of the most delicious dishes I've experienced in Mobile, and while it's not exactly inexpensive the price point is reasonable for a restaurant serving this caliber of food.

Everything was great. I had the lamb belly and it was so tangy and rich and tender. Would also recommend the pepper jelly and BLEU cheese. Yeah you hear me. Typically its made with cream cheese right? Not here. Made with Bleu cheese and served with crispy bread. Loved the look of the place too with its massively high ceiling that looks like a classic big southern mansion. Pricey but worth it!

Great, safe, clean location. The servers were friendly, efficient, polite and clean cut. The food was good and items were fresh. We both had a kale salad with a chicken salad on the side. The only thing that would have made that particular menu item perfect would have been a small slice of French bread or some stoneground crackers...just an additional texture and carb. The interior is upscale and remarkable.. it was a fun stop on our first trip to Mobile

We opted for outdoor seating initially and then was forced inside due to scattered showers. We were able to sit at the bar and introduced ourselves to Emily. Emily is wonderful! My coworker knew about this place and we ventured over for lunch on a dreary weekday. It was well worth the walk. Service was awesome and the Brussel sprouts alone were worth it. I could tell even in the daytime that it would be a great place for dinner or a date as well. As far as lunch, I just had a smokes tuna salad sandwich, but it was definitely better than others I've had.

Lunch was much more affordable than I thought it would be. Deviled eggs were solid. Toast with pepper jelly cream cheese spread is out of this world. I enjoyed the crab omelet while my guest enjoyed the veggie plate.

A wonderful little restaurant serving delightful southern cuisine. The cocktails are well balanced and tasty. The pickled shrimp are very good if a bit big. The same big shrimp go into the shrimp and grits which isn't at all heavy. The Shad Roe was great, almost like paté and very tasty. The service was professional and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxed. A very enjoyable experience.

Can you get any better?!? Five stars all the way. I had the deviled eggs and the cobia. Both recommendations from the all star mixologist, Amy! The fish was perfectly cooked and over the top delicious. Amy also created for me, a custom cocktail with fresh figs! The perfect drink after being outside all day in the Mobile humidity. I had the red snapper, a Negroni, and Banana Pudding Semifreddo (semi frozen). Desserts made in house. Highly recommend. Free parking downtown after 6, but tough to find. Takes all CC.

This has always been our go to restaurant but today was very different. We had reservations to celebrate my wife’s birthday. When we arrived the table we were given was not satisfactory. We asked for a different table there were many available. We were told those were all reserved. I thought we had reservations. We left we may not go back. Very very very poor service.

Excellent food! My wife and a couple of friends ate here on our way through Mobile and were stunned. My wife and I ordered the deviled eggs, the blueberry muffins, and fried oyster Benedict. All three items blew us away. I really enjoyed the roe on the eggs, the muffins were my favorite (and had a delicious lemon butter), and the fried oysters on the benedict were incredibly tasteful. They also have a very unique and incredibly spicy vodka. The decor is very nice and has a good clean look to it. Staff was very friendly, especially Chelsea! Highly recommend stopping by here for a bite to eat.

Excellent dishes. Great combinations of flavor. My husband had the braised pork shoulder. He loved it. I had the shrimp and grits without the poached egg. It was DIVINE! A little pricey, so I wouldn't add this place to our regular dinner spots, but definitely worth finding something to celebrate to get back there! Nice vibe. Great waitress. Nice view. You have to try this place! Small town charm with a big city feel.

I can honestly say that the braised lamb shank was the second best meal I've eaten in my life. The meat was well cooked and so tender! It was served with carrots, cabbage and what I learned were these amazing pickled mustard seeds! Who pickles mustard seeds? These amazing people, that's who!

By far my favorite restaurant in Downtown Mobile. A true farm to table experience with a menu that changes often enough to keep you coming back. Noble South is a must stop when visiting or passing through Mobile!

Noble South is a delicious cozy, classy, restaurant. Even better, by eating there you do good in the world! Noble South is a great farm-to-table restaurant that uses only the freshest ingredients from local farmers. This is the kind of restaurant I feel great about supporting. With dishes sourced from local farmers, and efforts underway to reduce plastic consumption your meal is not only delicious, but guilt free! Atmosphere 4.5* - The atmosphere at Noble South is rustic but still elevated. With a bit of old south charm, including (very) high ceilings, large windows, and a large roomy dining area, the ambiance is set for a delicious meal! Entrees 4.5* - Entrees are always delicious. They have a wonderful southern flair without overdoing it to the point of being cheesy. Dishes have a hint of yummy fats (chicken thighs, buttery carbs, etc) but aren't greasy. They have a great take on southern that is all classy and 0 redneck. Delicious! Drinks 4* - I've had many a wonderful cocktail at Noble South. While delicious mixology isn't their best characteristic, their cocktails are good and worth the price charged. Service 4* - I've had mixed service. I definitely get the feeling that your service is better if you "look the part". The waitstaff is just a bit gruff and could be more welcoming and kind but still does a good job generally. Environmental 5* - As I've already mentioned throughout this review, Noble South is one of my favorite places to go because I know I'm not eating foods that support massive polluting, inhumane, factory farms. This makes my meal that much better and I'm always ready to eat here! Thank you to Chris and the ownership and management of Noble South for your environmental ethic! Keep working to get rid of plastics (no one needs straws...)!

The Southern Cuisine, had a great Southern steak with green salad, this was just fabulous even the heavy price, you can not complain, this was the quality value anyway. Great service and very attentive. However, surprising was the facility under the name of The Noble South, I had imagined something more, this was unfortunately a bit of a big disappointment for us, the decor is kept very simple and cheap. This gives in the review unfortunately 2 star deduction. The food was great and I would recommend it to anyone, unless he is expecting an exciting furniture.

Had the grouper and sous vide pork tonight. Both were cooked exquisitely. Finished the meal with the rich and decadent banana pudding. Friendly bartender topped the night. Hats off to the chefs.

A little slice of heaven in downtown Mobile. Noble South never disappoints. With a constantly changing food and drink menu there is always something new to try and you never have to worry about being let down. The cocktails are delicious and inventive and the food dishes are thoughtful creations that blow your taste buds little minds. The staff is wonderful and I love the environment. This is one of the ONLY places in Mobile I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed every single thing I’ve tasted from drinks to apps to entrees and desserts.
