This place sucks. Had the sweet n sour chicken. Pieces were so small they were practically burnt up. Like eating gravel. I ate 3 or so pieces and gave up. I told waiter this is terrible, he said he'd see what manager would do about reducing the bill. Manager basically said tough $h!t. After eating there 20 years I won't be back. Saw a roach on the wall a while back too. Just didn't see the point in mentioning it til now. So long and good luck.

If they mess up an order that you placed through a third party food delivery app, they will not fix it. The food is great, but I advise to not ever order from there through a third party food delivery app and have any special requests (e.g. ask for sweet and sour sauce). Every time I’ve ordered over the phone and picked it up myself has been a lot better experience.

I LOVE Swen. They give you a lot of great food for a really great price. Their lunch menu has even better prices for the same amount as dinner portions. I highly suggest the honey chicken or broccoli beef!

Love Swen's . Love their food , also love the fact that you can get it to go & eat it at home . The portions are a good size so 2 can share 2 dinners & have left overs . Be sure to check out their family dinner specials that includes an eggroll & choice of soup. They also have daily lunch specials . They have 2 locations on at the University & one in Northport.

The food is amazing. Their Hot and Sour Soup is my absolute favorite, and we travel an hour one way just to have it! They have excellent lunch specials that include your choice of entree, either steamed or fried rice and an egg roll and your choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup (as if there's an actual choice there)! The staff are friendly and attentive, but not overly so. The dining area features booths and tables, the restrooms are clean and we'll maintained. It's conveniently located in the heart of the UA.

If you want good Chinese food in Tuscaloosa, go to Swen. You won't find a bad dish on the menu, and their hot and sour soup is pretty much the gold standard. No matter where I travel, if I go to a Chinese restaurant, I have to try theirs and compare it to the soup at Swen, and none have been its equal. Lunch items are very reasonable, and, if you go for dinner, get the small portion of whatever entree you order, unless you want to share with someone else.

I got take out and service was really not very but the food tasted pretty weird. I got General Tso’s and it didn’t taste at all normal. The fried rice was pretty good but the wontons I got tasted really weird as well. Maybe food tastes better when you dine in, idk

Food was okay at best. Staff very friendly though. Prices are reasonable. UPDATE: Changed from 3 to 2 stars, girlfriend and I got very sick the night of and next morning from this food.

Love Swen. I go there probably way too often, but it's so delicious! Their lunch options are priced so well for the amount of food you get. I personally recommend any of the mongolian dishes, as well as the tom yum soup.
