I can't believe a company like this would hire a person with this kind of mind set. If she does not like working with people she should quit or be removed from this company. Had ribs. They fell off the bone and my preference is tender but have to pull off the bone. Sauce is by personal preference and I simply did not like house, sweet, hot or white. Service staff were friendly.

If you are driving through or never been here, I highly recommend them. They have been in several magazine and won several awards. The staff and atmosphere is great. Wonderful food, I usually get the pulled chicken with sweet sauce. Wonderful. Their hamburgers are like home cooked. No artificial meat. If you get a chance to eat here. Try their deviled eggs and peanut butter pie with your meal. Great place.

Food was good but when you order a “Large” brisket sandwich basket for over $13 with a drink, 4 yes 4 slices of meat is a rip off. Would hate to see what the regular sandwich has on it. Not worth the price.

Just had a pork sandwich and potato salad. The potato salad was pretty good. Pork was super dry, also called it in 10 minutes before I showed up and still had to wait 20 minutes. I need to give it another chance. The staff was super nice though.

This place was not what I expected when you think about BBQ. Pull of pork wasn’t fresh and the pull of chicken didn’t taste like anything. The bbq saucewas not good and I was wondering if it was BNQ sauce. The turkey and sausage gumbo was really good.

I have been dreaming about it and and finally back at Barber track this weekend so we can eat here as much as possible. The food is mediocre and the prices are extremely high for what you get. My pork sandwich was dry and chewy. I could only eat half of that and gave the rest to my dogs. My fries were so salty I couldn't eat them at all and were to salty to even give to the dogs...had to throw them away. We ordered carry out both times I have been there. Both times the order was incorrect. Both times were during the evening shift. There were a bunch of teenagers working both times. They do not care how your food looks (it's literally thrown in the box, beans running over onto other food, okra on top of all food), how much you get (half filled slaw once and once half filled beans) or whether you get what you ordered. They are in no hurry to wait on you and could care less if you complain. A pint of beans is $6.30 and it won't be full. Both times we ordered a sandwich and ribs with beans, fries, etc and paid $30-40. This place is really expensive for the area and expensive in comparison to other bbque restaurants. There are other bbques close to this place with better food, service and prices.

Rusty's is a great BBQ restaurant. Order at the counter and have the meal brought to your table. I've had the pork sandwich, the brisket sandwich, and the cheeseburger. I've accompanied those sandwiches with either fries or onion rings. All were delicious but the brisket has been my favorite. To not have table service, plates or silver ware (all paper and plastic) , the food is a little pricey.

The folks at the Barber Museum unequivocally recommended Rusty's when asked where to eat nearby, they said it was the best BBQ in the area, and they weren't lying! The brisket and ribs were cooked perfectly, just fell apart, the Mac n cheese as good as any back home in New Orleans, and the fried okra was toothsome, indeed. The service is great n Rusty himself came up to ask how we liked it. Can't say enough good stuff about this place.

Had the sampler plate for one, with fried okra and green beans on the side. Good job smoking, guys. Nice taste, no burnt ends too harsh the flavor. The sides were generous portions, the okra I really enjoyed. The sauces weren't my speed, but for context, they usually aren't. For me, you don't put ketchup on spaghetti, so if the barbecue is done right, why would I use sauce? Easy to find, lots of parking. I'd eat here again.

In town from CA for work and was working across the street, so I gave it a shot for lunch. Rusty's did not disappoint! I told the gal it was my first time, she asked what I liked and recommended the Brisket Cheesesteak. It was a great recommendation. Since last week I've tried the Ribs and Bacon Cheeseburger. I don't think there is anything on the menu that would disappoint. Highly recommend!!!

This is no joke People. This place is one of my favorite BBQ eats in America yes America not just Birmingham or Alabama. This is my Pit Stop whenever I’m passing thru from Cincinnati, Ohio. My favorite are the Ribs, Vinegar Slaw, and Spicy Baked Beans. The choice of sauces(House is the best FYI) on the table would make anyone become a Spoiled Brat. To top it off, must try their desserts. ALL OF THEM ARE GOOD!

If you are a Coca-Cola fan, you are out of luck here. The bottles of sauce that were sitting on the tables were in DESPERATE need of being cleaned. In fact the entire establishment could use a thorough cleaning. The French fries were okay, just not a lot of flavor. The burger was kind of bland. They only have processed cheese. I suggested they might want to look into that, I was told the owner would not do that. If I could give a rating lower than one star I would. Will not be going back there again.

If you haven't tried Rusty's, you're definitely missing out!!! They have four different BBQ sauces to choose from. The service is always great!! Definitely a very 'southern hospitality' kind of place. I personally love the music, too. Ribs, chicken, pork... They have it all and they do it PERFECT! Definitely be sure to grab a plate of ribs, they slide right off the bone!! They also have an amazing sampler platter that I would highly recommend.

My wife and I were driving back home from Mississippi to Georgia from picking up a tractor. I hadn't been to Leeds since 2004 when I raced at Barber. We stopped at this exit to find a place to walk around and get gas when we came up on this gem! I wasn't in the mood for BBQ, so I got the hamburger steak, my wife got the pork plate. Except for the pork having a little too much fat in it, everything else was great! The food tasted like homemade. Even the gravy wasn't the generic stuff you get everywhere else. I definitely plan to tell anyone I know going through Leeds to stop here from now on!

I have wanted to try Rusty's BBQ for awhile now. I am not disappointed. Fortunately I have recently moved closer to this restaurant and my only problem it's deciding what to eat when I am there. The sign says BBQ but the possibilities are endless. From Burger, Ribs, BBQ baked potato, collard greens, black eyed peas, and the best cornbread since my grandmother's own recipe. The question is not whether you should try Rusty's BBQ but rather how often you frequent this amazing restaurant in the heart of Leeds, Alabama.

I've heard good things about Rusty's, and it was good stuff! I'm picky about fat on ribs, which was a bit much for my liking (but some people actually really like it that way), but above average for sure in that regard, and what made them good was the rub (seasoning). Mac and cheese was fabulous, fries are soft and good, cheeseburgers are good. The best part, personally by far: pork ribs nachos!!

Rusty personally wrote me a note on postcard and mailed to me after my previous review with a $20 gift card. They have obviously stepped up their game in every aspect.. The food is always good but this time is was Great. The staff were incredibly friendly and easily able to contact Rusty when had a question regarding how to run new gift cards which was great to see how easily attainable and hands on. Since my last visit I cant stop craving everything as it was all cooked fresh and felt extremely welcomed and even more importantly valued my business even though coming just before closing. To know my little rating and review can have this big of an impact and Rusty, the owner really listened and took to heart anf time to make it right is a huge astonishing deal and very meaningful to me as a guest who now will go nowhere else on this part of town for bbq. Thank you all and Rusty especially! Great job! Other business should take note and follow your lead. My only recommendation would be to update the interior decor if by doing nothing more than new booths tables and chairs and this Restaurant could really be the staple and landmark I'm sure would love to be .. Even more than already are to many residing in this community. But..with food trucks having such great food and run down trucks.. The food is what matters overall and service and theyre A+ on this!

Rusty’s Barbecue has great food! I’m from Texas, and pretty picky when it comes to brisket. Rusty’s brisket melts in your mouth. They offer lots of sides and yummy desserts as well. When we visit Bass Pro, we always get a great meal at Rusty’s.

I'm always excited to try a local place when I'm visiting somewhere new and this was no exception. I won't say I was disappointed, but it just wasn't as good as I was expecting. The pulled pork itself was very good, but the sides were kind of disappointing. My mashed taters were very salty and I love salt so that's really saying something. They also just light much flavor. They were more like just whipped boiled potatoes with no butter or milk. They even had that clear look to them. The corn on the cob was also just watery & flavorless. All in all, go there for the meat and skip everything else.

Nothing to write home about if you know that ribs that fall off the bone are not cooked right. And there white sauce is bland like the others. The greens had hot sausage that was way over cooked. I have heard so much about Rusty’s being so great, but I’ll have Jim-n-nicks over this place, plus I was in Rusty’s after the race on top of it all.

Got the sampler with greens, sweet baked beans, and jalapeno cheese cornbread as the side. With a drink, the total came out to nearly $20. None of the meats were that impressive to me. The pulled pork and ribs were both really bland. The smoked chicken was the best of the three meats, it actually had some flavor. Ribs were really tender, good texture, just lacked flavor. Tried all the sauces, id rate them average. Greens were really good. Sweet beans tasted a bit too much 'out of the can'. The jalapeno cornbread was fantastic. Would I eat here again? Yes. Was it worth the $20 i spent on the sampler? No. I'd try something else next time

Was on a road trip, so taking in the local BBQ joints along the way. Normally, the amount of pig props around a restaurant is proportional to how good your meal will be. This is the first time my "rule" has been untrue. 3 stars isn't quite right but 4 stars are too many. The service was southern manners respectful & polite and the food fast. It's obviously a fine local stop. But the food was average and the BBQ sauce lamentable. The house seemed a blend of the sweet and the spicy. The sweet might have been good but was too thin and runny to get enough flavor.

I heard from a local citizen the this place was not very good but the reviews were so high that I had to see for myself. Well, they were right. I ordered the rib plate w slaw and beans. It’s was not very good. Did I the meat fall off the bone? Yes. Was it very flavorful? No. I have been to most bbq restaurants I. The surrounding area and unfortunately I would rate this place at the bottom of the list. I wanted it to be good!

I'm baffled how this place got 4.4 stars. 15 bucks got me maybe 6-7 ounces of meat, some lousy fries, and a bun that looks and tastes like it's from McDonald's. Brisket was dry, no visible smoke ring. Only positve- turkey was good but portion was tiny
