Great chips and salsa. Service was wonderful. No issues at all with our order. We had 12 people in our group and the wait staff handled it well. MY only issue is I don't think the price matches the portions of food that we received. I believe it to be expensive for the amount of food.

There was a black, short hair under the beans on my plate and I thought I would vomit. They refunded my half-eaten dish. But other than that it is great. But I'm picky so I don't think I'm going back. I'd rather learn how to cook better at home than to have hair in my food. Sorry.

Very very good! Portions were perfect..not too much but not too little. I had enchiladas verdes..superb (filling was actually identifiable pieces of chicken!)..son had tamales. The masa was flavorful and light..filling to masa ratio was very good. Our server was perfectly attentive and wonderful. We arrived just before 5 and restaurant was mostly empty....it was packed by the time we paid our bill! We'll be back!

I ordered chili relleno & it was ok, definitely have had better. On the bright side the server was very nice & the food came out pretty quickly.

Food was great, but they ran my card 3 times. A 50 dollar dinner cost me 150. I was able to call and get it fixed but was quite a pain. And took 7 to 10 business days. I'd probably chance it again the food is good

I’ll give it an A+ for decor but the food was okay. I ordered a chicken fajita quesadilla for dinner. I’m not sure why but mine didn’t come with any red or green peppers in it. Just chicken, onions, and a few mushrooms. I love onions but they were WAY too much. My husbands enchilada had a similar issue. The menu even said it came with peppers. No peppers to speak of. The margaritas were itty bitty for a Mexican restaurant and got $6.00 a piece! We were told there was no option in sizes for the margaritas. Seemed odd. I hate to say it but I walked out of this restaurant with great disappointment. If you love real Mexican food I would not recommend going here.

The food is good, but they do not have many vegetarian options. The staff is kinda of hit or miss. Half the time the service is amazing, other times they forget about you completely. Edit: Changing my review rating from a 4 star to a 5 star just because owner replied to this review. I will continue to eat at Rosie's and try out the new menu mentioned in their reply!

Rosie's was okay. It wasn't a super dining experience. It was a 30 minute wait on a Saturday. Not enough space for a waiting area. Had to wait a bit for chips and salsa. Menus need to be wiped down after each use. No one likes a menu with food stuck in it. Quick food, small portions. Love that they have pellet ice. I wanted to check this place out because there is always a full parking lot. If you like "On the border" then you will like here.

However, the dishes are a little bland and don't seem to have the authentic flavor and spice you would expect out of TexMex.

The atmosphere and service was excellent. Drink and chip refreshes appeared right when needed like magic, which was nice. I've been a few times and the food is usually quite good. I've never had a bad dish, just "pretty good" or excellent ones. The only real complaint I have is the queso Blanco. I ordered it today for.the first time here. The taste and consistency was that of the queso Blanco cheese wiz you get from a jar. The "jar"taste was immediately noticeable... It's not something you can really hide. Kinda bizarre for them to do that when everything else is great. Still, one bad appetizer isn't a deal breaker when everything else is good. I'll continue to go and enjoy.

I've been a patron of this place since college when they opened and they've consistently come through with flavorful Tex Mex dishes. Although, it's not very Vegan friendly at all they do make an effort to accommodate but also provide some of the best margaritas in town. They could improve on the salsa and provide more spicier salsa options but overall great restaurant with the ambiance to match.

Rosie's has become a holiday tradition for my family, on a given day each year, we gather at Rosie's because no one wants to cook the day after the feast. Although, Rosie's does have a problem, as Yogi Berra is reported to have said, "No one comes here anymore. It's too crowded." Yogi, trust me, wait. Be prepared for a long wait. Or come really early. Either way, it's worth the wait.

On my first visit, I admit to judging them a bit harshly about the food bring "generic" tex-y Mexican, but I have come to love going to Rosie's because everything is great quality and super *consistent* - their salsa is now my favorite of any of the local places, and their lunch portions are large and come out quickly. I have always loved their tortillas, and for that alone its worth going, but now there's so much more.

I get the grilled cheese tortillas here every time and it's my all-time favorite food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. Rosie's Cantina is usually bustling with people. I recommend this to anyone that is moving to Huntsville.

I've been a patron of this place since college when they opened and they've consistently come through with flavorful Tex Mex dishes. Although, it's not very Vegan friendly at all they do make an effort to accommodate but also provide some of the best margaritas in town. They could improve on the salsa and provide more spicier salsa options but overall great restaurant with the ambiance to match.

Rosie's has become a holiday tradition for my family, on a given day each year, we gather at Rosie's because no one wants to cook the day after the feast. Although, Rosie's does have a problem, as Yogi Berra is reported to have said, "No one comes here anymore. It's too crowded." Yogi, trust me, wait. Be prepared for a long wait. Or come really early. Either way, it's worth the wait.

The food here is excellent! It is mostly traditional Mexican food and it has a great selection. The atmosphere feels like old Mexico with a sorta run down feel but it is all up to code and just adds to the feel when you enter and eat there. The place however is literally always packed. So kinda takes away from the enjoyment of it. That would be my only problem to give it. Otherwise I fully recommend this Mexican restaurant to anyone that is in the mood for Mexican.

I come from the southwest where authentic Mexican food is everywhere. It's not hard to find home cooked Mexican food for sale. When I moved to the south, I visited countless Mexican restaurants hoping to find TRUE Mexican food and was always let down until I came across Rosie's. It's like home. About 2 times a year, my family and I drive 4.5 hours from home just to eat at this restaurant. Best enchiladas I've had in GA/AL. If you have never been to AZ, Southern CA, TX, NM, NV then you have NO idea what true Mexicab food is. I highly recommend Rosie's to truly understand what you're missing. See you I. 6 months....or less Rosie's.

Visit for midafternoon lunch couple days past. Very pleased at welcome greetings from all staff. My bride had the Mahi Taco, lunch portion $11.95. She enjoyed it very much. Very worthy portion of Mahi fish. I opted for the combination plate, pork tamale, beef taco, rice, refried beans AND Chalupa $1upcharge. $11.95 + $1. I also enjoyed a super cold Modelo Especial. Anyway, back to review. My lunch items, all tasted excellent. However, I was and remain displeased at being served a Tostada vs Chalupa...especially, with $1 upcharge! Our waitress stated it was a Chalupa....flat fried tortilla with toppings as opposed to "The difference between a tostada and a chalupa is the shape of the corn tortilla. Because the word “chalupa” means “boat” in Spanish, there's a slight curve to a chalupa that can make it looks pretty similar to a taco. A tostada is also fried but is laid flat to better hold all of its toppings!". She even went so far as to insulting refer my not knowing difference between them, i.e., Taco Bell

Decent food. Waiter got my meal incorrect...didn't even bother to ask him to take it back because was running like crazy. It's very loud on the weekends...music is even louder. Chips were fresh!

My wife and I really liked this place and the Fajitas were really good. I consider that Tex-Mex style. Where the meat is cooked and then laid across the bed of onions and peppers. It was well marinated and flavored very good. So we had a double order of "Mixta" chicken and steak fajitas and cheese dip and 2 cokes which brings me to the not so enjoyable part of the meal. The bill was $47.50 for my wife and of course we had to leave a nice tip for Mauricio who is an excellent waiter. This place is always packed and we were lucky to only have to wait 15 minutes to get seated. That about wraps it up for my review. It would have definitely been 5 stars if it wasn't for the expense.

Service was amazing - I have an allergy and they were quick to assist with it. Unfortunately, service isn't everything at a restaurant and the food was just so-so. The portions of the 3 entrees at the table were a bit small, but the salad (as an entree) was very big and had a great variety for a taco salad.

Visited here for a 40th birthday party. Employees are nice. They provide a nice size plate of food for a reasonable price. Two could eat off of it easily. Those at my table really liked the flavored frozen margaritas. Nice atmosphere and murals around the restaurant. I had chicken enchiladas and asked the waitress if the meat was shredded but it was more of chunks of chicken when I prefer shredded. It was filling with the beans and rice.

The food tastes like 70 year old white Grandpa got in the kitchen and forgot all of the seasonings. It doesn't measure up to true TexMex in Texas. It's very much a bland Americanized version of Mexican food.

The entire menu is quality Tex-Mex style, easily as good as the best restaurants I've eaten at in Albuquerque, but the fajitas are off the charts...a superbly seasoned skirt steak with absolutely no excess fat to trim with peppers and onions that are seared almost to caramelization...perfection.

Rosie's is a Huntsville landmark there's two locations that I'm aware of. A very good menu and excellent choices for all. Very good flavor to all the dishes I've tried. even when they're very busy and they usually are very busy particularly on Friday and Saturday night you still get served very quickly you get your food very quickly and the bar is quick to serve drinks. There is free parking and wheelchair-accessible seating and doors.
