Steak was to die for so good! Did scare the hubby though when the waitress grabbed his glass to refill it (he's ex-military); he was ok once he understood what she went to do. The dinner was great for an anniversary dinner.

My husband and I spent 60 dollars on our lunch.. Only 5 maybe 6 tables filled and took forever to get our sweet tea. Once our steaks came, we asked for steak sauce. Our tea glasses were almost full. By the time he FINALLY brought steak sauce pur steaks were cold.. Mean the manager walked by several times hearing my husband complain and not once did he ask if something was wrong... Terrible experience and I NEVER complain. But to spend that much money on 2 people was ridiculous!

About 2 years ago , I wouldn’t give outback a star, food wasn’t good , I wouldn’t let the waitress serve my animals. My wife and I decided to try one more time ( endless shrimp plus how can you mess up shrimp - I’m pretty sure , the waitress on last visit sure could of ) but anyway- steak turned out great and the shrimp 5 thumbs up. The waitress , the best I can explain the service we got - she got 40% tip- our check was forty + a little so left her 3 twenty’s - yep - faith in the outback again

The salmon was grossly overcooked and that was one meal. The next meal was the sirloin with coconut shrimp. The sitlion was ordered medium rare and was served well-done. The coconut on the coconut shrimp was charred on the tips. The porterhouse was served correctly. 1 out of 3 is just 33%.

Ordered prime rib medium. It was way over done. You couldn’t even cut it with a knife. Had no taste whatsoever. My son ordered a ribeye his wasn’t any better. I guess you have to pay the waitress to smile and wait on you. Worst meal I have had in quite some time. Big letdown.

Good, but not exceptional. My wife and I both ordered the sirloin with coconut shrimp. Our steaks were pretty much cooked as we requested and the shrimp were done just right, not over-cooked. Really liked my baked sweet potato, just a little butter.

Today we decided to make it an outback steakhouse day. We had a wonderful time and started like we always do with the bloomin Onion. I always love the bloomin Onion as an appetizer and it has been around for so long. I also really enjoy the salad it's always fresh and crisp.I will be back to the outback here in Tuscaloosa because I always get great food and great service.

We went for Father's Day with a couple of gift cards we had. The food, from the bloomin' onion down to the steak, was fantastic. My steak was medium rare instead of Pittsburgh rare, but I'll hardly fault them, it was a busy day. The real love came when our gift cards failed to work correctly. A curse of the online purchase! The manager worked with us however, and through her compassion got our ticket down as far as she could so we weren't hurt by the denied cards too much. She didn't have to help us, but she did. Above and beyond the call. You will see us again, make no mistake of that.

For some reason I haven't been to an outback steakhouse for quite a few years. I don't know why. It was definitely better than I remembered. Everything I had was very good. Even the side salad was above and beyond what you get nowadays at restaurants. I will definitely make this place a priority from now on.

My husband was half way through his dinner when the server returned to tell me I couldn't get the grilled prime rib rare because it had been sitting in the oven all day.. So I asked for the regular prime rib rare. She told me she didn't know if I could get that rare either. I ordered a rib eye and it arrived after my husband had completed his meal.

Food has gotten small protion, I got bourbon bacon salmon, the only problem was no bourbon or bacon on plate. When I asked her about it she said, I will dress it up, she brought plate back with 2 little pieces of bacon on it. 20 dollars I threw away. Outback and logans neck and neck to see who can be the worst steak house.

It wasn’t bad but it was great either. Just kind of average but our waitress was good, albeit a bit too much with the drinks because she would grab my glass to refill it without a word until she came back and that isn’t necessarily bad but it would both irate and surprise me when I go to reach for my drink and it wouldn’t be there. The food was good to okay. The lobster tails were nicely done, the steak was average, the veggies and sides were fresh, but the chicken was overly breaded and bland and ended up making my partner feel slightly bloated. I can’t say I won’t try again to give it a second chance and I also can’t say it was a good lunch date either.

Not good at all. Close to a 30 minute wait and only 75% of restaurant is even being used. While walking through the restaurant during my wait noticed the floor being slick, greasy, dirty or whatever explanation you prefer to use for its description. Service was slow and unconcerned. Food continues to diminish upon each visit, might be my last. Customer next to me had to get another steak as the first one was improperly cooked. Recognized the manager walking around a few times but never saw him engage with any guest about anything. The complete establishment could have been managed by middle school students and would have operated no differently.

Perfect lighting, good music, clean environment, and fresh ingredients. The staff is hit or miss in terms of sociability, but nobody is rude and are all very quick to serve. The food itself is expertly seasoned, and while the prices are hefty, as they are with all steakhouses, it is well worth the cost. Parking (which includes handicap spots) is very spacious, and it's located right off Skyland, so you'll have easy access to all the main roads. Great date night destination!

We made a reservation a week ago and when we arrived they acknowledged that we had the reservation. We still had to wait an hour to be seated and were then told they don’t take reservations even after we were told they did on the phone a week in advance, and again when we arrived to the restaurant when they had the name and number written down. Hostess and managers were not friendly and did not accommodate us. We even had to push tables together ourselves, after being seated away from each other, after waiting an hour past our told reservation time.

Outback is just not the same anymore. The steaks are smaller, and not worth the money! We also found a hair in a brand new roll of silverware. The bread was hard. I don't know what happened. It was a great place once.

Overall experience was good. The only issue I had was that we did the call ahead seating and checked in when we got there. We waited a while, and then noticed that people that arrived after us started getting seated. I think they forgot about us because suddenly they had a table for us. Otherwise it was good.

They used to have good steaks, but it seems I got a bad one this time. I ordered a 12 ounce center cut sirloin cooked "medium" and while it came that way, the taste was just not up to their normal standards. All I could taste was pepper, as if someone accidentally spilled the pepper shakers on it or something. I expected the juicy flavor of the meat along with the seasonings but all I tasted was pepper. Everything else was good but you know, you go to outback for steaks, not side dishes.

The food is great but the customer service, waiters, hostess, waiters, are more often than not awful especially to Afro-Americans when observing them. The ones at the bar their disposition is short, snappy, unfriendly, not courteous or polite. The tall white man, the white healthy female that are often their needs in service on professionalism in customer service.

The wait was ridiculous. If you are diabetic, and haven't eaten in 6 hours, choose fast food. The waitress was distracted by other staff while taking our order, hence a longer wait. My husband was annoyed by that as well as given a salad he didn't order, and did not get his broccoli. The prime rib was very disappointing and my sirloin looked like a filet and was tough and overcooked. The salad and baked potato were great. You would think Tuscaloosa could have more than 1 Outback. When we sat down, the guy sitting next to us said "good luck getting that steak. We've been here 3 hours". It was a much better experience at the Jonesboro, Ark location.

No sides, we asked where our baked potato's were & then were told they were out of them. All this was about 5:15. To early to run out of anything. (I’d like to point out before I explain our experience that it was not busy while we were eating at this location tonight.) Our waiter Steve took his time to get refills. Our glasses sat empty for far too long. We noticed he would refill other tables drinks with the water or tea pitcher (what we were also drinking) but would bring us completely new glasses which we thought was strange. Maybe that’s what took so long?? He gave us our appetizer cheese fries on one plate that sat ontop of another plate that looked like old cheese fries were on it before.. there was literally still cheese and fries on it.. he told us that it was transferred to the top plate from the bottom plate so it wouldn’t be hot when we touched it.. which made zero sense because both plates were still on our table. ? Instead of getting a manager to come explain the situation he took the plates off of our table and to the back and kind of blew us off. A manager usually comes to the table at outback and that didn’t happen at this location. We were grabbing dinner with a friend that goes to The University of Alabama while we were on our way back to Texas so it was pretty disappointing after driving for twelve hours to have poor service. I don’t know, maybe he thought we weren’t going to tip because of our age. However, I’m personally a server and he missed out on a great tip from us. Won’t be returning on our way through Alabama next time unfortunately.

It's a good place for a steak. Staff is generally attentive. Don't always get the meat right, I've been served entrees that were both under or over cooked, but still edible. Seems to be crowded most times, and maybe a tad understaffed. But for the price, it's a good place to visit.

This is my 3rd and last visit. Each time I have come here it has been a bad experience. Our waitress Hannah is probably upset about her tip. The service was not good. She was not busy at all, we were her 3rd table at a few minutes before 1 o'clock in the afternoon. We sat for at least 14 mins before she showed to ask if we wanted an appetizer. We declined and she took our drink orders, along with our meal order. 11 minutes passed before our drinks and bread showed up. Another 10 min wait on our salads, bear in mind we have been sitting for over 30 mins now. 12-13 minutes later she brings our meals, which is a reasonable time for steaks. We both ordered sirloins and shrimp, both orders were supposed to be medium, by their pictures and descriptions in the menu they should have been medium pink Mine was mostly well done and my wife's looked more medium rare, actually closer to how they both should have been. I had the coconut shrimp she had the grilled shrimp, they tasted great but they were tough as tire rubber. The steaks also tasted good but were not tender at all. During the meal not once did Hannah ask if we wanted refills on our drinks. I had to ask myself when I was running out. Hannah didn't offer to clear our salad plates and we had to ask for more bread. I had finished my meal and my wife was still actively eating when Hannah finally came around for her first check on us to ask if my wife wanted a go box and were we wanting desert. We declined both. She brought the ticket very quickly. I went to the restroom at this time and as I sat down and picked up the ticket Hannah showed very quickly to collect payment, it was the best service we had in the past hour and a half. The food gets 2 stars and Hannah gets 0 stars and no tip. I'm not a waiter but I know what it takes to be a good waiter, the service was bad. The food was clearly not worth what we were charged. Hannah if you see this I'm sorry you didn't get a tip but it's not my fault you don't treat your customers better, but lets face it you only made 4 trips to our table and you didn't put anymore effort into our dining experience than was necessary. Management if you see this you need to reexamine your training methods for your staff both in the kitchen and out front. I do not recommend this restaurant, there are better places where your value as a customer and your money are well spent. This is the last time I will darken your door.
