It was a very uncomfortable experience people kept staring we where the only blacks in the building and the waitress acted like she didn't like blacks and told another waitress to wait on us after her bringing the wrong drinks.the vibe was very bad.

So I am slowly getting adjusted to the south and getting used to the local terminology. When a restaurant in the south says it's a home style cooking, what it means is your meal going to be made from canned and boxed food items commanly sold at dollar general or walmart. The quality will be just bellow what you would be able to make at home using the microwave and same ingridiants. So, back to this "home style restaurand"... Three of us went there for lunch and all three of us though that pasta dinners sounded good for some reason. Let me just say it, I make way better pasta at home but then again I do t use tomato sauce from a metal can. Also, I know we take for granted the free water we get in America...but if you gonna give me a tap water can you at least run it through a filter and get rid of the metalic taste...is that too much to ask? I guess to sum this place up, its just a cheap place with cheap ingridiants...you get the rest. On the side note, all three of us were running for the bathroom 15 min after our meal. Still looking for this mistical delicious southern cooking I keep hearing southerners talk about...

Great breakfast! I declined the bread portion and they gave me an extra egg. Grits could have been cooked a little longer, but overall, breakfast was good. My husband had the Philly cheese steak omelet and he loved it. Service was really good too.

This is an awesome, family-run restaurant that serves a wide variety of down-home cooking, as well as all-day breakfast items. Just about everything I've ordered is great and well seasoned. Great menu selection, food is cooked when ordered, very fresh cuts of meat and veggies are also fresh. There portions are also above average. The staff is extremely nice and service is great. You will never leave there hungry. I have ordered everything on the menu at one time or the other. The grilled pork chops and the grilled grouper are my favorites.

Maybe if our waitress had more focus on all of her customers and not just that 1 good looking guy she was flirting with our glasses might have been filled a couple times or when we asked for something she would have paid attention and got it the correct When the party that is sitting at the table all have fries you would think someone would ask them if they would like some ketchup so they do not have to go searching around the restaurant to find one on a table The food tasted OK once it got out to us Probably will not go back

My hubs and I were in town for our daughter's band concert and we always like to check out local places to eat. I googled good breakfast spots and this little place popped up. I'm so glad it did. From the time we walked in we were greeted with smiling places. You seat yourself and I first thought well great they will never see us but I was wrong. Our waitress was to our table in less than a minute and we had our drinks and order just as fast. The food was great. Just what we were looking for. This place truly makes you feel like home and like you've eaten there 100 times. Would highly recommend!

I've been here twice now and it's extremely average. First time, I had the biscuits and gravy. The only words I can use to describe it is "very okay." They lacked any real flavor. Second time, I had elan egg special with toast and hash browns. The hash browns we're pretty good but nothing special. Overall, I'd go again because the staff are friendly and it's relatively inexpensive. Just don't get your hopes up for some authentic southern food.

CHEATERS NEVER WIN. TWO BREAKFAST MEALS AT $37.00! We paid the bill, but will never be back. While traveling outside of Dothan we decided to try something other than run of the mill chain restaurants. Moms Family Restaurant Was listed in our Google search. We decided to give it a shot. The menu is the same as Huddle House or Waffle House. Waffles, Pancakes, Eggs, etc. We ordered two meals: One Waffle, two eggs, bacon, tea Two pancakes, two eggs, bacon, hash browns, coffee Our bill was $37.00 SERIOUSLY?

Pros: Clean (the place looks newly renovated,) simple but comfortable tables and booths and good generously plentiful, made-to-order food. I had the spaghetti one night and the open faced roast beef a few nights later. Both were very good! Cons: While there are nice hanging above the booths, there is also industrial florescent lighting above the table lights that could be turned off to improve the atmosphere....
