Took about an hour to get a table. When we were finally seated the menus had a pungent odor to them that was unbearable, hard to turn the page and look at what else they had because we didn’t want to waft the odor back up to our noses. I ordered a Miller Lite in a bottle because after the menu mishap I wasn’t trusting their ability to wash cups. The beer was stale to keep the complaint at a minimum. The food overall was fine, nothing to much to complain about there except the ground beef that was ground so much that it had the consistency of sand. Wouldn’t recommend.

Ordered the spinach quesadilla, and instead of wilting the spinach then putting it in, they filled the quesadilla with raw (and uncut) spinach, so when cooked, the whole thing turned into a slimy, soggy mess. Trying to eat this quesadilla was almost impossible without a fork and knife, because piles of slimy spinach fall out as soon as you pick it up. Actually eating this quesadilla, I felt like I was choking on aquarium scum, and it caused me to gag more than once. Needless to say I couldn’t finish it.

Noticed restaurant when driving to movie theater and decided to try at last minute. Prompt service and excellent as well. A little Americanized but not too much. Generous portions. Excellent food. May not be as spicy as some like but I don't like my food very spicy. They do have spicy options listed though. Vegetarian options available, at least 5 or 6. Excellent service.

Totally rude! Walked in at 9:32 PM. The two ladies immediately started saying they were closing in 20 minutes. Just wanted a few beers as I was staying at hotel next door. Guy said we will let you have a beer or two. I told them no thanks. Evidently they were so focused on closing 30 minutes before they close they forgot how to treat customers. I stay here 5 times per year. Wont visit this place again.

One of the meals had the sour cream and tomatoes that had gone bad and when we called to advise the restaurant they said that the heat from a 30min drive was why and they wouldn't replace the meal. We tossed it so my son and I split my meal and haven't been back.

Wow, being from the west coast and having been to a lot of Mexican restaurants, Los Tarascos is definitely top 5! Amara is a great cashier, she was fast and listened very well! The food was stellar we had a large take out order and it took them about 15 mins to make it, and it was a great price! This is now a go to spot for me!

I'd like to give it closer to a 3.5...but that wasnt an option. They were busy and we had a large group of people but I had to ask twice for my drink. Not so bad, but i ordered fajita nachos, and apparently that doesn't include the peppers anymore. There was a single layer of chips covered in cheese and chicken and the cheese had caused the chips to become soggy when I got my plate. The waiter was great though, very nice and polite and apologetic when he realized I didnt get my drink.

We drive 45 minutes one way to eat here. The best Mexican food in West Alabama. Highly recommend it. I never eat the same thing twice and I have never been disappointed. I have ate at the Northport and Tuscaloosa locations and they are both absolutely amazing. I never leave disappointed. The waitstaff is always so attentive to us. 10 out of 10 will eat again.

Glasses were always full, we were asked if we would like more chips and salsa. Only complaint I would offer would be parking lot is rather small.This is undoubtedly the best Mexican in Ttown. This is the only place that knows how to make salsa. And the food and service is superb.

The cheese dip was also pretty good, but the serving was small. The booths were beautiful, but extremely uncomfortable. Overall, it was a good experience just a few minor things. Super Nice restaurant... newer building...clean, large dining areas and comfortable seating. Plenty of parking.... Service super fast and professionally friendly...order was accurate... fajitas were tasty. We ordered the lunch fajitas and we're not paying attention that the lunch special did not come with beans and rice...but the waiter was helpful and brought us some guacamole to off set our disappointment. Tea, chips and salsa were satisfying. We will definitely come back when we are in town. THANKS..

The food has always been good when we go, this night the service was a little lack-luster. My husband ordered a mixed drink and when the waiter brought it to him it was only half a drink and the wrong drink at that, but we paid full price. When he asked, he was told all drinks came half a glass. I asked for a refill on my rootbeer and it came back mixed with coke. Waiter did not seem to care.

This is a place I normally visit 1 or more times a month. I ordered My standard meal and it was as good as it usually is. This time however, I had a minor problem that I feel wasn't resolved fairly. Well, my wife ordered a strawberry daiquiri. Unfortunately it was unsatisfactory. There was no strawberry taste and no liquor taste to it. How do I know? Well I don't drink so it's easy for me to taste it in a daiquiri. To make a long story shorter we complained to the manager so he would take it off the bill. My wife didn't drink it. He pointed to a small sign up near the register that said basically "no can do!" We paid the bill without fuss . But, that $6.50 drink will cost them a lot more than $6.50. We are done there for the year. So be careful ordering drinks. If you are displeased,You will have to pay anyway. If a business was so inclined, that practice would in fact be a way to scam people. I dont have proof but it sure is fishy. Beautiful way to make money pouring ice,red coloring and cream in a glass. Im very dissatisfied (bad business practice I think). We spent right at $30 there . Los Torascos you are down about $270 for this year for sure. So all in all be careful ordering drinks with your meal.

My family went on 23 December 2018. Our waitress Crystal was very nice and helpful with menu choices, the food was alright. Not worth the price. I ordered the appetizer tarascos gumbo with shrimp, steak and chicken. There were 3 pieces of shrimp in my bowl, It was mostly rice. We went to this place because of the reviews but We won’t be back.

The food is very good and the service is very good. Recommend going for lunch. There was zero wait and it wasn't busy at all. Went on a Saturday too and it wasn't bad at all. I can't speak for how busy it is at dinner time. There's lunch specials but they end around 2 PM.
