This place is clean and out in the country... took the wife there and we enjoyed ourselves... i loved the chicken the ribs were ok ... not great ... the flavor was there but little tougher than i like could be due that we arrived late arround 8pm.. all the sides from turnip greens to beans were good and the desert was good too ...ill be back to see if the ribs were just a fluke ...

The catfish plate I got last night wasn't the best more crust than they was fish over cooked and the hush puppies were also a little to done don't know if it was just a fluke or what they just need to stick to the barbeque it's awesome won't recommend the fish though it was a to go order if it was eaten in the diner I would have returned it

IMHO, the best bbq in the tri-state area. The slaw is amazing, the peach cobbler is just like gramma used to make, not a bad choice on the menu. The pulled pork is the best thing thing there, but the smoked chicken is also excellent. Fantastic sauce. Highly recommended.

I wasn't happy with my ribs they were to tuff to eat but my sister got the BBQ chicken she said it was really good and my mom loved her Philly cheese steak

My grandmother called up there to order and asked if y'all had mashed patatoes and gravy and the girl said no and so my grandma being elderly asked if they just had mashed potatoes and the lady said no and my grandmother didnt hang up right away and the lady on the other end thought she had a said to the whole store smartassey "if we dont have mashed patatoes and gravy why would we have mashed potatoes" it really hurt my grandmothers feelings.

My husband's barbecue plate was delicious. The hickory-smoked meat did not need any sauce added. My plate was OK. The beans were good, the greens tasted canned, and the cornbread was cold and dry. The desserts were OK. The service was efficient, except we were only offered a fork each with our plates. Had to ask for a knife and spoon. I found this different as I've always had a full set of tableware with a plate meal. The restaurant was cosy and appeared cleaned.

The food could be better. I have been there when the food was good and other times it is barely eatable. The home made pies are very good. The lady that makes the pies should do the cooking.

Quaint little BBQ joint with down home cooking. The food is good, the prices are not bad, and the people are friendly. My only two problems: It is not very wheelchair friendly. Also, you have to order when you walk in the door, before you go to your table, which can be a bit frustrating when you have a picky eater who takes his time ordering and a crowd is gathering behind you. Still, this place is worth going to! Give it a try, y'all!!

We've eaten here several tines now and last night was the first time I've had any kind of real complaint. The service and most of the food was great as normal but I tried the brisket for the first time and....eh. Idk if it was a fluke or what but...while I'll definitely be back..I'll never get the brisket again

The ribs are off the chain, but the last three smoked chickens haven't been done. I had to finish cooking them at home. BBQ is always good. However, I think I have bought my last smoked chicken . I told the girl on the phone to give me a small one, because those are always good and done. This is nothing that can't be fixed, but at $9/plate it's a big loss. I will still eat here, just sticking to rib and BBQ night... Full price isn't bad either. So I don't mind paying. I love the Cole slaw. I always have, beans, and potato salad is good as well.
