Kudos to the staff at the Iron City Grill. After an excellent meal with family on a Friday evening, I managed to leave my credit card at the restaurant. I realized the card was missing on Saturday evening, called the restaurant, and learned that the card had been turned in to management, locked in an office safe, and returned to me when I arrived.

If you are in Birminham Alabama, this place is right next to uab. Very convient parking, and easy to get to. The food is fresh and very tasty, not a spot to miss. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The TVs are huge and on just about every wall, however the sound is not distracting. They have a bar and music as well however, we were there for lunch so we did not see how that part was...

Love their cauliflower (I think bbq), love that they have vegan options and that their options are so delicious! Staff has always been lovely the three times we've visited. The staff even made sure every time we've been not to put the dipping sauce that's not vegan on the same plate as the cauliflower we ordered to be vegan! Small things like that are very nice because sometimes other restaurants will still put it on the plate and it spills and touches my food and then those are pieces I can't eat.

Great southern fare, quick service. Drinks from the bar made so fast that they came with the water. Servers and hosteds friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back!

I got here at 7:15 pm, got drinks and waited for our food. We waited almost two hours for our food and my order was wrong. I told our server that the order was wrong and they didn’t fix it after 15-20 more minutes and I was forced to walk up to the kitchen door and ask for it to be fixed. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Never returning.

The small plates here are great. The fried oysters are some of the freshest and juiciest oysters I've ever had in any state that touches the water. They occasionally have live entertainment to add to the friendly atmosphere, and with Open Table, making a reservation even on a busy night is a cinch.

Great place for lunch, seemed to have a cool atmosphere as well, so I'm sure night time would be great for drinks as well. Speedy staff, great food, it's a clean place, and it has it's own parking lot, so that makes it easier to get in here without worry about paying for parking.

Fresh ingredients, well prepared, and great service. They also have a very well stocked bar. It was fairly busy when we were there but it didn't feel crowded. Plenty of space between the tables. Maybe a small detail to some, but I very much enjoyed not feeling cramped. Menu wasn't huge but had iyems for all tastes. A couple of big screen TVs, nice to keep track of games but not distracting. My wife and I have eaten there a few times now and it has never disappointed.

We only had to wait about 5 minutes to get a seat even though it was crowded. The steak was awesome with whatever sauce they put on it, and the atmosphere was pretty laid back. Definitely going back.

Wonderful experience in dining in a casual atmosphere. We enjoy the free and easy parking adjacent to the restaurant. My wife and I shared the Wings and the Corn Crab dip. They were both outstanding. We then ventured further into the menu and shared the Cuban Sandwich with a side of Cheese Grits. Incredibly tasty and delivered hot and fresh to the table. We ended the evening with a Creme Brûlée with Fresh Berries. It was delicious but alas we were unable to finish it. The specialty cocktails are all the rage here. I’m a Bourbon Drinker and enjoyed the Alabama Dram. My wife’s Savignon Blac was chilled and very good. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout dinner. We can’t wait to come back and dine again.

Good place to grab a bite before a concert but the food is not that great. They offer some interesting items on the menu but the execution of those dishes is without finesse. They promise to use the freshest, regional produce, which I don't doubt, but why are they suffocating fragrance and taste of high quality produce in dressings and coatings? A little less heavy handed with the vinegar, a little more focused on the aroma of the ingredients and a lot less trust in spices and sauces and this could be a place where I would go for dinner and not for a quick bite.

My family loves the fried chicken plate and shrimp and grits plate. I normally get one of their healthy salads. However, I've been disappointed the last few months that I've ate at The Grill because they no longer serve their Thai Salad. That was the best salad I've ever had. I sure do wish they would add it back to the menu b/c I'd eat it at least once a week!

The Grill at Iron City has a LOT of amazing options! We try to get something different every time we go but are always drawn to getting the Fried Green Tomatoes! They are each topped with Pork Belly, Pimento Cheese, and Homemade Tomato Chutney! The staff is friendly, the drinks are great, and the service is fast!

Food was good, but "no guns" signs on the door are a turn off. Note that no guns signs hold zero weight in Alabama without armed guards and at least one other security measure such as metal detectors. Also note that almost every mass shooting in the past several years has happened in a gun free zone. No matter how good the food is, I probably won't be back unless the signs come down.

If you're looking for some local unique dishes or a place with a good craft beer selection, this is the place. I stopped in at lunch one day, & the variety of menu items they offer was stunning. They range from seafood, southern cuisines with a twist, to even a Thai dish! I had the pork belly sandwich, and it was delicious! The restaurant really has an open feel to. They have a bar, high top seating, or tables to choose from. If your in the area, definitely check it out!

The Grill at Iron City of great stand by for weekday lunch. They always have fresh and seasonal fare. The menu changes somewhat frequently based on was is in season, or what local farmers drop off for the week. They have some gluten free options as well as vegetarian options. The salads are always so good and the specials are usually delicious. Can be somewhat pricey for lunch for some people, but I rarely eat lunch out so when I go here I never mind paying a little more.

Came to eat before the Hannibal Buress show. Beer is slightly over priced $8 I think for a glass and decently cold. Food was decent untill I noticed the chicken was undercooked. They recooked the chicken and put it back on the same plate. I had uncooked chicken touch my salad. The gumbo was super watery and bland. Manager came over to apologize for the uncooked chicken and made up for it.

The ambience was good, service was fantastic, beer was cold and the food looked great. The ramen was highly recommended online so I ordered it. It did not live up to the hype, imo, but definitely good enough that'll I'll be back to try something else. Update: Went back and ordered a hamburger. It was way over cooked and fishy tasting like they grilled it on the same spot they grilled salmon. It was just awful. They took it off the check. My sister and niece were happy with their sandwiches. Ultimately, there are too many great places to eat in Birmingham to waste anymore time here. It's a great place to come have a beer though.

The meal was good but I really prefer fewer large screen TV's while I eat. This is more of a pub than a restaurant and that is fine and makes sense for a bite before the show next door. There were four in our party and we all enjoyed our meal.

Buffalo Cauliflower bites are perfect appetizer for 2 to 3 people. Deep fried and tossed in a buffalo sauce, with blue cheese crumbles. Yummy. We ate pork belly sandwich. Not your traditional thick slice of pork belly, but a perfect blend with the other toppings on sandwich. Street corn...YES!!! Save room for dessert...Creme Brulee...you will not regret it. Good food, price and service.

We loved it, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. The server was very engaged and answered our questions with much knowledge of the menu. She even made suggestions that were very helpful. The menu had a little bit of everything and the Buffalo Cauliflower was my favorite. The Spinach Salad with Salmon was so good, I could have eaten it all if I hadn’t devoured the Buffalo Cauliflower.
