ZERO STARS.... I was hoping to be able to give a good review, but that is not possible. A coworker and I went to visit this establishment since its close to work and they have sushi or at least their sign says they do. After ordering a drink and receiving it and drinking some of it we asked if there was a sushi menu since we didnt see sushi on the menu. We were told they do not have sushi. Wait, huh, what, your sign out front on the building has the word sushi in it. So since we were there specifically for sushi we decided to leave. Being polite I asked how much for the sweet tea, expecting to be told "don't worry about it since we are advertising something we do not have and didnt bother to tell you right from the start" nope I was told "that will be $4.70", $4.70 for 2 glasses of sweet tea are you kidding me!!. Neither of us will ever visit that building and I will make sure to pass around how the situation was handled.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! They always prepare the food fresh to order!! You can hear them chopping the veggies fresh in the back. The whole place just smells of fresh Korean kitchen. The staff are super friendly, kind and helpful. I especially recommend the Jjampong soup, request it as vegetarian if you are concerned about the meat. I'll even get an extra order to-go so I can eat it during my lunch at work.

This place was definitely an interesting experience. I am not familair with Korean cuisine so it was refreshing coming to this restaurant and experiencing it all first hand. The thing that stands out most is that after ordering food, the waiter brings out a tray with small portioned Korean dishes that you can pick and choose from to add to the meal that you ordered. I can honestly say nearly everything on the tray we're dishes I had never tried before. If you are looking for something different, I definitely recommend coming to Haru's.

Fantastic bibimbap and bulgolgi. Friendly staff and good prices. My only complaint is they said they stopped serving sushi long ago. Then needs to remove sushi from the name and signs. I don't like false advertising. But they were super helpful in finding something else for my daughter to eat despite her being super picky and upset about the lack of sushi. Oh and no kimbap! I cried a little on the inside. But the deliciousness of the food made up for it.

This is an update. I have been pretty disappointed with their food lately. Bulgogi isn't nearly as good as it used to be. Kalbi ribs weren't good either. Yakimandu is usually burnt. Bibimbap is still good, as is their service. Price is too high to pay for sub-standard food though. Their low health score doesn't help their case any either. Time to find another Korean restaurant...

I ate the grilled mackerel with rice and sides today. I was extremely disappointed. One of the sides had metal looking refuse in it. When I informed the waitress she argued with me because it wasn't actually metal it was only a foil from a seal that is used on one of food storage containers. When I first sat down I asked for the sushi menu since the restaurant is named Haru Korean & Sushi and I was upset to learn from the waitress that they do not sell sushi. The only reason I walked into the establishment was for sushi. I will never eat here again and I caution you never to eat here.

HARU is some of the best tasting authentic Korean food I’ve had, and I grew up in Los Angeles! I would highly recommend this place to anyone new to Korean food or if you want to experience great Korean home cooking! There really hasn’t been a dish here that we did not like, and we are here at least twice a month. Amazing Jamppong, Seafood pancake, SoonDubu and dumpling soup. And a parade of complimentary side dishes to your liking. Really. Amazing. You won’t be disappointed. It’s that good! Enjoy!

Haru is a great place with truly delicious food. There are multiple dishes on the menu that are absolutely fantastic and have great depth of flavor. The soft tofu stew is indescribable, definitely one of the best stews I've had. Also, the mackeral dish is so yummy and all the sides they have each time are quite tasty too!

Very good Korean lunch! All the things you expect in a good Korean restaurant. Nice portions and good value. The decor is sparse and clean. Bimimbap was delicious and served in a large bowl where you could select the ingredients easily for the perfect bite. Lots of different side dishes with a variety of textures and flavors. The service was on the slow side which makes a lunch hour fairly tight. I would like it much spicier but I'll ask for more heat next time.
