Breakfast was awesome. And super fast, the food was on our table by the time we had our coffee fixed. A super huge plate, lg portions, bacon as lg as the plate. Eggs cooked perfect, ( I'm very picky about my eggs). Hubby had a omlet , and it was great. Grandson had pancakes that was huge,cooked just right. We also had dinner there last night, only downside was the chicken n bbq was both dry, but the side items all good and homemade. The meatloaf was just perfect. So overall I still give five stars. Service was great as well.

Food has always been very good. Just ask questions about foods you have never tried before. Owner has been known to adjust cost of a dinner if seen not happy with a items flavor. Cannot beat the effort given to please customers. Great place to eat.

Great food friendly staff members and great service took a lil bit for the food but we dis order some steak. If you're hungry for a 12oz Ribeye then you wont find a better one locally. I get mine medium rare and it is always tender and filling.

The staff is extremely nice and friendly. The variety on the menu is very diverse and good. The food is great and it came out quickly. The grilled chicken breast and vegetables were were packed with flavor the chicken was juicy and everything was hot and fresh. I highly recommend checking them out

The food has always been great here every time we go. Casual dining place. They have two locations, one in New Hope and one in Huntsville in Five Points area. They offer a "Meat and 3" menu as well as a regular menu. The staff has always been friendly and patient when we take my mother (she has dementia). Highly recommend eating here.

The jumbo bacon wrapped shrimp was so good. The 9 oz signature cut steak was cooked to perfection. Fried Green Tomatoes were southernly perfect! It is a great spot to stop right off the main road. They are fairly fast too for a sit in place, and their prices are match expectations (just right).

This Resturant is close to my home. I like to eat their on Sundays, they have a closed menu on Sunday. The selection is quite large. Roast beef, carrots & onions with 3 vegetables, bread. You can choose 2 vegetables and get one of their cobbler deserts. Chicken tenders, catfish fillets, beef tips, chicken & dressing, pork chops/lone, 1/2 Chicken on the grill/smoked, ribs & prime rib. A large variety of vegetables, rolls, cornbread and cobbler for deserts. I have eaten everyone of these dishes and I like every one. They have a daily menu too, on Wednesdays they have my favorite, dumplings, I order a large bowl of dumplings and one of their yeast rolls. it is a full meal for me. I like Gaylen's, I'm glad they are in the neighborhood and have such delectable food and choices. Gaylen's also has another location at 5 points in Huntsville, AL. If you come during high volume time it is worth the waite. They are also known for their evening menu of a variety of seafood. Definitely a 5 ***** resturant.

Galen's is a family owned restaurant just off Hwy 431 South in New Hops/Owens Cross Roads. Traveling south, if you see the Piggly Wiggly you've gone too far. Very good food at great prices. Solid meat and three that specializes in seafood as well. Everything I've tried there has been better than expected and family both eats in and gets takeout from Galen's quite a bit. If you live in the area, Galen's is a pleasing alternative to a drive into Hampton Cove or further into Huntsville for run-of-the-mill chain fare. And if you're traveling through the area on your way to the lake it is a great option to stop and grab a bite along the way. Also, service as always been superb - both friendly and competent.

Great and speedy service excellent food, the best corn bread available, ifen you ask me, a family atmospher, an all around great place to get your grub on, everyone working there steps up to make your visit a grand one, breakfast, lunch or dinner, so y'all get out there to visit with my good friends at Galens, they actually had 2 locations, one in New Hope and the other location was at the old Mullins restaurant in five points, but I heard they officially closed that location the other day, I'm sure the good people of five points are gonna miss them, I understand it was a lease. on the building problem so maybe they'll find a spot over in that area, to keep that good cooking going out in the five points area, let's hope so I know I do!!!
