Stopped in to buy shirts. Couldn’t stay for food or drinks. Had pets in the car, so my friend and I took turns running in real fast. Will stop again on the next trip. Glad I got to see it in person even if for only a few minutes.

We visited this restaurant/bar on July 29, 2019 after hearing recommendations from several others who had been there. We were told there was a 1 and a half hour wait, which we were fine with because the location is pleasant enough to just sit, have a drink and look at the water. It ended up taking about 2 hours to get seated. The kitchen is a food trailer in the back of the property, where there is lots of sand and open sea air (which I thought was a little odd). While waiting to be seated we sat and watched the waiters and waitresses come out and smoke cigarettes at the kitchen trailer while checking on their customers food. I even saw one waiter take a plate of food into the restaurant while smoking his cigarette at the same time. Once seated we waited 45 minutes for our food, and the food was absolutely horrible. 8 of us ate, no one liked the food other than my 7 year old whose kid's fried shrimp seemed to be pretty good. I had the chicken strips. . . $15 for 5 tiny pieces of chicken that tasted like they were fried in the same grease as the fish (see attached picture). My advice is drive a half mile past this restaurant to take pictures at the actual Florida/Alabama state line. . . then go somewhere else to have a decent meal and stay away from this tourist trap.

This is truly one of the best places on the beach!! Multiple bars live music and way too much fun. Parking is tricky but the place is worth it if you need to walk across the road. There is easy pedestrian access. Way too much fun to hang out there. Note to self. Don't buy so much at the gift shop next time!! @dawnd2

Meh. Crowd was small but it was a Sunday night. Staff was super friendly. You can tell that this is the place to be during the busy season. It's HUGE with multiple bars, restrooms and venues. I would definitely come back.

Nice place to hang out, eat and drink. Three stages, two have decent dance floors. Plenty of tables and whatnot to eat or just hangout and drink. Parking is a serious consideration if you are showing up after dinner. Servers and bar tenders are very nice and friendly with fast service!

Sits on sugar beach with nice views, wander thru varying type music venues and bars. There was no cover fee when I was there. Music venues varied from old country to modern day rock with live musicians. Just sit drink or dance. Across the street is great seafood restaurant.

This iconic bar sits basically on the Florida Alabama state line right on the Gulf of Mexico. It has multiple levels with indoor outdoor areas. There are multiple bars with plenty of seating and standing room. Each bar area has different bands or some form of live music most days, pool tables, dance floors and there are bras hanging from the ceiling etc. This is not anything upscale or well maintained. Nobody goes there for that, and if that's what you want go elsewhere. This place is for dancing, visiting with friends and maybe making some new ones! You will find Bama to be a melting pot... full of college crowds to the old folks, surfers, bikers, yachtees and everyone in between. It is an experience worth having at least once!

An hour later we found out she hadn’t t even put our order in. The manager blamed his employee instead of taking ownership for himself. I agree with CK s review. The restaurant has nice views being on the water. We were treated to a spectacular sunset. We were seated quickly despite being 7:30 on a Friday. The live music was OK. However, it took us 45+ minutes to get our food... My children feel asleep waiting. We ordered the steak and shrimp meal and the Cobb salad. My daughter's steak tasted "stale" but my son's was good. The veggies were overcooked and flavorless. My salad was ok but a disappointing amount of mix ins. The only really good thing was the key lime pie... It was delicious. I doubt we'll be back. But here's some pictures of our pretty sunset even though it doesn't do it justice!

Great place to come have great food, drinks, enjoy great live entertainment with friends. My friend's brought me here to check it out when visiting them, being locals they get come here often. It definitely is a lot of fun people enjoying themselves good music. I will definitely come back again when I visit my brother as well. Won’t return. The rest of our party received their food some twenty minutes after the first person, so the first person’s food was cold before it was time to eat. The quality was okay, but very overpriced (As an example, I paid $18 for what was basically a handful of small shrimp and fries). We definitely felt as if the food and experience we had wasn’t worth the price we paid. Our service was adequate, but nothing special. For the reputation and wait time, we certainly expected much better. We absolutely will not return, in spite of the apparent positive reputation this place (for some reason) enjoys. I regret that we spent our time and money here.

Nice little joint(to say the least)... this is the 3rd year that my family has come to Orange Beach, Al... the 1st year, I stopped out once. Last year I stopped by twice. This year I've been there 4 times(twice today)... But what really blew my mind, was that a couple workers remembered me(Cindy and Country)... Country even remembered my name after 4 days... top notch if you ask me... not to mention the killer bands I might have to book a longer vacation next year

A fun place to eat and then enjoy the beach. You can park there for free and use there beach access. No coolers allowed, but you can just pop back into the bar for a drink and they have water stations as well. And, you can rent loungers on the beach through a seperate company for $35. Yes please! And thank you!

We go,there every Tuesday or Friday . sometimes on a weekend. Love the place. Love the bartender upstairs name Stephanie she is the bomb. She is so nice and always has a smile on,her face. Everyone is great all but 1 girl that does the bar down,stair she is rude. Not nice at all. She wasnt there yesterday but I will get her name next time I'm there. Other than that 1 person everyone is great. We love the place.

Stupid setup all the way. You have a huge building, 1 line to get food, and no servers. The line wasn't moving very fast. Had may 12 people in front of us and didn't move an inch in 30 minutes so we went to florabama grill across the street. Awesome food there but had to get a servers attention.

Just an average spot, place is very beat down and junky. If you like bands it's a good place to meet up with friends / family but then even the bands to me just average. It's nice to be on the beach but I feel this place is over hyped, its definitely not a must go place when I'm visiting the south. Go to New Orleans, better bands and atmosphere...not even a comparison!!

Fun spot. We hit the Grille and loved it. Food came out quickly. Everything was delicious. Casual atmosphere. Sand on your feet. Not fussy... food is worth the visit. We shared the fried crab claws and onion rings and everyone loved their entree. The fish sandwich was large and well prepared. No complaints.

We were told a 45-50 min wait. However and hour and 1/2 later we asked and they had forgotten about our party. Our waiter was so sweet and amazing but the bushwhacker was absolutely terrible and he did take it back but the hostess staff were not very nice at all and the food was so so.

Laid back family friendly atmosphere with lots of different things to do for the whole family. There are several drinking and dining options from amazing seafood dishes to other meat or vegetarian choices on the menu. The beach is just steps away to get sunbaked, go swimming or both. This is a great place to check out that will definitely be worth your time, shoes optional! Check out the gift shop on your way in or out, lots of great finds.

We had a blast. We were upstairs in the Main Bar and from 6-10 we listened to Trevor Finley and he was fantastic! We had a great time. A few hard ciders and our server was Liz and she was on point. It was a great experience and we will definitely be going back while we are here for 3 mo. Great place and so iconic!

I was there on the day of 2 major events. (Mullet toss and Kenny Chesney) Parking was expensive. (paid $30 for 1/2 mile away closer parking was $70-$80). The place was packed. Waited in line about 30 minutes to get in. Cover charge was reasonable $10.(prices vary on time and your age). I will say the drinks were fantastic as were the bartenders. The souvenir store was packed as well. Prices were typical for the area. I would like to go again, just not during such a busy time.

The place to party the night away. Weekends, special events and when the "tourist season" is here it gets CRAZY and extremely busy. Live music in the various different rooms, reasonably priced drinks, and definitely and place to meet new friends. The police do make this place a priority to keep everyone safe and keep eye out for driving under influence so please keep this in mind. Also, there is a Church service on the beach early Sunday mornings then back inside for a drink. Enjoy!

If you're visiting the AL Gulf Coast the Flora Bama is something to see. It's a world famous bar on the sand that has live music 7 days a week. If you're not someone who likes bars then go to Church there on Sunday. Best, and most meaningful service you probably will ever attended. Their motto is "Where it's OK not to be OK" services at 9 & 11. Greatest Easter Sunrise On the beach Service ever. Get baptised in the Gulf of Mexico for the most meaningful and unforgettable baptism ever. Whatever your visit to the area is for, the Flora Bama should be on your list of places to see.

Food is not good. But it’s typical American place and must go if you visiting in the area. It’s really old. By night is crazy place. Nice for party fans. Definitely not fancy at all! You can go in even without shoes or just bikini. It’s in the beach so it’s relax environment. I wouldn’t like to be there on spring brake! They have few restaurants, the main one is on the beach. The photo is from the one they serve real food and is more family (with little kids) friendly.

Gave 3 stars because my husband enjoyed his sandwich. I ordered a $19 oyster basket and it came half oysters and half shrimp. I told our waiter and his comment was, "Well, did you appreciate it?" I should have asked him if he would appreciate it if I left him half cash and half monopoly money for a tip. No offer to reduce my bill or bring me additional oysters. Lunch was a bit too pricey but I guess you pay for the name and a water view. I wasn't impressed.

Great outdoor patio atmosphere (with live music on the day I was there). However, food is way overpriced for the quality and portion size you receive. Expect to pay near $20 for a "basket" of fried shrimp/fries. Shrimp was very salty. Fried fish and hushpuppies were overcooked. Maybe the grilled items are better, I don't know. I would come here for maybe a few drinks and an appetizer and listen to music, but not to spend $100 for dinner for a family of four.

We got clam strips and moz sticks for appetizers. Both were really good. I enjoyed the clam strips a lot. My husband got the raw oysters. Man! Beautiful! Then for a meal he got the fried oyster and shrimp basket. I am usually not a fan of fried shrimp but these were amazing. The oysters were "the best I ever had" according to my husband. Love the atmosphere and friendly staff!

Egg dash was great, had activity stations for kids set up inside too. The Easter bunny skydiving and parachute landing on the beach in front of the kids was fantastic! My eight year old had a blast!

The Rodeo.... announcer said it was overbooked. I’d say by double. People sitting on ground to see the event, and people w tickets turned away due to overcrowding. It was a Nightmare to park and cops were not directing traffic that went back for miles. Hopefully the money collected for st Jude made up for the mess. Bar/building is extremely unkept, dirty and smells. Bathrooms are horrific. I don’t see the allure.

Great bar, and lots of fun for families or adults. There’s a very good variety of music and views throughout the bar. It’s an all around great environment and very safe. ****the management was extremely rude though, specifically a middle aged woman whose name I recall is Robin. I am 19 years old and was extremely respectful. I entered as 19 years old and got my wristband and marked as underage. Also paid $15 cover charge to enter. After about an hour and a half I got approached by security and told to leave. They thought I had taken a drink from someone’s alcoholic drink, when I in fact had not. I was cooperative but I immediately asked them to look at the cameras or breathalyze me. They refused to look at cameras but called a county police officer. Robin took me outside and the officer conducted a sobriety test and I passed. The police officer was extremely respectful and said my eyes were smooth and there was no problem but that they probably wouldn’t let me back in. Robin proceeded to tell me I was bad for the establishment and she was extremely accusatory. I was shocked by how she was treating me. I didn’t even know how to respond. The police officer then didn’t feel a breathalyzer was necessary even though I said I wanted to take one. I am extremely frustrated by how I was treated by the establishment in this incident. I had no chance at reentry even though I was being respectful and following the rules. I understand that it’s their job to protect their liquor license and they have to enforce the law. There is a much better way to carry out how they enforce rules though. Just because I am not of legal age to drink, doesn’t mean I do not deserve respect.

Super unique place! Love the bushwhackers - I always look forward to getting one when I’m down south. The entertainment here is also superb. We saw dueling pianos on this particular occasion - quite a riot! If you’re in the area, ya gotta stop by here!

Great music ,bushwackers ,and bartenders but one of the security guys was extremely rude to me when I got pushed into him by some drunk guy and he wanted to get an attitude for something out of my control and tried to say I had been over served and asked me to leave until a random witness explained and he still never apologized even though I'd apologized immediately and tried to explain. Bottom line if you are a country guy who wants to get super trashed and get away with whatever this is the place for you. Love the music scene and bars but not to keen on the people this place attracts.

Great food and drinks with wonderful family fun for the kiddos!! And for us big kids the games with the pigs couldn't have been more fun!! We needed a bit more of a challenge than the rookies they had on the clock cause I think we were a little more advanced in our cops and robbers game! BAHHABBAAHH!!

A very cool place for couples to families. They have their family time and their adult time. Live music lots of events. The whole surrounding area of gulf shores, orange beach, destin and Pensacola have great things and places to do but if your in the area Flora-Bama is a must visit.

This place is a timeless classic. Great music, friendly people, and a huge selection of goods at the gift shop. Parking is a bit tight and this place gets crowded quick but it is open from 0900 to 0230 so there is plenty of time to go and visit, relax, enjoy a cold beverage, and pick up some cool swag.

This is a great place to go while you're in Gulfshores. It has a lot of history to see and the people who work there are awesome. Great place to go for food and drinks. They have really good bands in performing great music you can have a lot of fun there

Awesome place. Right on the Florida, Alabama line. Bushwacker drinks are amazing! Something like 22 bars in all. Can't wait to go back. Cute gift shop also.

Just wasn't my cup of tea. Too crowded, drinks served in plastic cups, appears to be more for trying to meet the opposite sex than socializing to me. However, the people there seemed to really be enjoying themselves, it was a younger crowd. I guess I'm at the age for more of a speak eazy type environment with awesome drinks.

We ate at the Flora-Bama Yacht Club after a local told us it was the best one.3 out of our 5 meals were cold. The service was very slow and poor. The waitress was kind enough to take 25% off of our bill.
