Ugh goin in and eating is always great..but today was the 2nd time placing an order to pick up..and it wasnt correct. The 1st time this happened i ordered 2 chicken quesadillas wt beans and rice...got home had 1 chick ..one beef..wt lettace n stuff for my sides..today i wanted to check my food before leaving but i didnt want to insult, after all this isnt tacobell so i asked and he asdured me my order was correct..got home it def wasn't. Got my chicken quesadillas right but got lettace n rice for my sides..and the tea had an ammonia taste to me...next time i will check my food while im there before leaving..wasnt worth the money or trip. Tbh

We stopped here to eat on our way to the funeral home. We ordered drinks and they were great. We ordered our food and a half hour later our server came to take our order again and realized that she never turned our order in. We got no apology. A party of 6 came in after us, ordered after us and got their food 10 minutes after they ordered. They were hispanic and we aren't. We paid for our drinks, in which we should have gotten for free, and left. Btw, it was very drab and dark inside

The portions are generous and during the brief wait ( seriously less than FIVE minutes for lunch today !! ) for your food, you can pig out on super fresh chips and salsa. The servers are always polite and attentive and the prices are extremely reasonable. If you don't live on the west end of Birmingham, make the drive to El Vecino. Well worth the trip.

Tried this place for the first time, and must I say I will never be back again. The manager was very rude, went back and forth with me over a drink that was made wrong. The food wasn’t good but I was willing to pay still, so I wouldn’t be trouble. He refuse to take my drink of, and said I had no choice but to pay for it when I didn’t even drink it. I am a manager, and the customer is always right. Somebody should teach these unprofessional workers that. Don’t waste your time or money.

If I could give them less I would. I read the other reviews and these people must be pumping up these reviews because all of them are lie. The food is absolutely Horrible. I was trying to do something different with my children so I decided that I would take them to this restaurant. It was nice walking in and had a nice appearance. But the food was inedible, we ended up leaving everything on the table. I talked to the manager and agreed to pay half of the bill only because it was my daughter's birthday and I had to take her somewhere where she could at least eat and enjoy it. I ended up taking them to Chick-fil-A. Please do not waste your money here the food is so Gross. Everytime I think about the food at this restaurant I get sick on my stomach. I am unsure what kind of meat we were serve it was supposed to have been ground beef but I have taste ground beef that was not flavored and that meat was not ground beef.

Great Mexican food! Flaming cheese fajita is where it's at for sure. They also have a great mushroom burrito and nachos. Staff is always great and welcoming. Facilities could probably be cleaner. Check it out!
