So crowded with driving age teenagers who I assume are friends with employees that it's uncomfortable to be there with your 3 yr old. Employees act like they shouldn't have to help you, unless you're a "friend" then you get the machines rigged to spit out 100's of tickets for a single game... witnessed this myself. Petty, I know but aggravating when it seems like a great injustice for me to ask for some red pepper. But the pizza was decent and the games that worked, my daughter enjoyed.

It was great up until my step-sons pizza never got brought out to us. And then the one employee I asked about it twice, never said anything. She just walked past us, and started other customers. I'm not racist but this employee was. I ended up with a frozen bat-man cake. And my step-son ordered paw-patrol. We've been here over two and a half hours. Leaving with a frozen cake.

A couple of staff members could be more polite, don’t look like they have the customer service ability needed for a job like this but I would recommend this place to anyone. parents be sure to use the new massage chair!!! this place is fun for the kids but it's so crowded you have to wait 45 minutes just to count to your tickets then another 45 minutes to cash them in and in my opinion it's a little pricey, for me and my 3 kids I spent $150.00 if it would not have been elbow to elbow crowded it would have been little more enjoyable but the pizza was good and a great variety of games good place

the birthday party girl was great. but the rest of the party that cost 250.00 was tragic. when the birthday boy went to cash In his tickets they did not have anything he wanted to buy he had over 23000 and everything he choose they only had the display there was an issue with a helicopter set on the shelf for 2500. they said it was 5000. a call was made and we were to 26.00 in cash to pay the difference. we didn't bite as the same you sells at Wal-Mart for $19.99.. this created an issue with the party table as well as we were asked to move due to being there too long and other parties were coming in. we did and continued to get the toys the party goers were redeeming. this issue needs to be arrested for future family's giving birthday party's yo those loved ones. I have 4 grandchildren 5 and under and we will not be returning for any future birthday parties. I also have children that have not had children but we all will no longer be patrons to chuckle cheese. Good bye Chuckie, so sad

If you want to avoid the crowd, go at 5 PM on a weekday. The staff was pleasant. The pizza was good... Just make sure you consume it while it's hot. They serve wine and beer. You can only have one drink an hour and there is a 2-drink limit.

Usually at this location it's packed. However today was perfect, my daughter was able to enjoy herself. No lines for the games, the food was fresh, bathrooms were exceptionally clean, staff was very friendly. Ms Kiera I believe she's management, constantly did her rounds. She was on top of everything, very accommodating, easy to talk to, so refreshing. It's nothing worse then, going to a "kid fun zone" an the staff is rude. Or they act as if, they're sick of being around kids all day... ummmm hello (you signed up for this)... Chuck-E-Cheese's located right off 280 is the place to take your children... hint hint during the week :-) two thumbs up. Sincerely a VERY satisfied customer.

Great place to spend.They don't have many arcade games so u play crappy games for tickets to get crappy toys. I lost my wallet and 80$ was taken out, they were supposed to call me and haven't yet. In my opinion 3 stars is too many

Fun times except I noticed there was no one administrating the kids and families that were leaving to check that they were all supposed to be together. After I asked for them to check everyone’s hand to prevent any kidnapping or kids leaving without permission, they did not send anyone to administer.

My daughter had a birthday party at chuck e cheese hwy280. It was really fun. The children had a blast. There was a very little complication though. I reserved for the mega party. It supposed to have a free cup that kids could take home. But they gave us the paper cup. If I didn't say something, they wouldn't give us the free cups. After the party, they took the balloons. If I didn't ask for them, they wouldn't give it to us either. But other than that, it was a nice.

This has to be the worst Chuck E Cheese ever! They never have enough employees so the machines always run out of tickets. You can't get through the doors because they have 1 person taking orders so the line is dang near out the door. Half of the ticket counter machines don't work. They never have anyone working the little race cars. I can go on and on but I'm sure y'all get the point.

Kids loved it....staff was late (30mins) opening and when they DID open they had an attitude. They locked the doors behind me even though they were supposed to open at 9am. But in the end it was for the kids and they absolutely loved it. I like the new card system versus the coins, now I cannot wait until they add the tickets (rewards) to the card as well.

This was the worse experience the salad bar stayed emptied and when she came to feel the salad bar she was using dirty gloves that she took the trash out with and set the salad on the floor before feeling the bar. Was out of ice for drinks it was terrible.

I attended a birthday party at the Highway 280 location last weekend. NarKeita, the Chuck E Cheese hostess, was wonderful! She interacted well with the kids and parents. She was positive and excited to be there. She danced and sang with Chuck E Cheese. We had a wonderful experience with NarKeita. I can't say enough about her. She really added to the experience at the party.

Food is way over priced. Plenty of games, but no play ground area. Being from St. Louis, our Chuck E. Cheeses had actual play areas, like fast food places. It was great as a kid! This one has plenty of games for kids ages 5-10 can enjoy, just no playground. Keep this in mind when you walk in and see 30+ sugar grazed children running around from one game to another. Also, keep track of your kids play cards. If another kid takes your little ones card, tell a staff member immediately and they'll get your child a new one.

I informed the manager that her employee DeDe was awesome. She brought the food, took care of of machine, check the children in, than was Chuck E Cheese. She did all of this with a smile. I even enjoyed the new games for my generation. Especially the 30 min of play and Pizza for 10.00 My grandson and nephew ❤️ this place. I use to stay away because of crowded and unpleasant experience but I can say that this is best location if you have small kids. My daughter said DeDe always there with a smile.

I took my 2 year old for his birthday and will not be returning. The staff at the counter were rude. There were no tickets in some of the machines. Multiple ski ball games were missing all balls. Some of the machines didnt even work but would take your tokens. There were kids crawling on the game machines and no staff on the floor to monitor or enforce the rules. It was chaotic and clearly no one working there cared. The pizza was the only thing that was good.

The staff have horrible attiudes and used foul language and were talking very bad about eachother to the customers! Most games were not working properly and no one would come and take care of any issues. Had to wait in line atleast 15-25 min just to talk to anyone or even pay for anything! We, along with many other families, waited nearly 2 hours for food (1 pizza/1 topping and medium wings). Games ran out of tickets. Only 3 ticket readers were operating (5 were not). Tables not bussed. No attendant to check our child’s stamp as we walked out the door. When we were leaving we heard that no more food orders were being taken because they were so behind.

Be sure to take an antacid before you go. Greasy, greasy pizza!! Games to high for my grandson. Would love to see lower games or stools at the games. A small skeeball for toddlers would be awesome. He loved the game but couldn't roll the ball over the hill.

The employees are doing a great job at this location. Very patient with the parents and children alike. Great attitudes all around. They have got the right people in each position. The facility is well kept. If you have any issues with the games they are quick to fix the problem without any hesitation. If one person is not able to help, someone else is usually nearby and ready. Keep up the good work you guys! You are an amazing team!

This past weekend we stayed in the Fort Worth Texas area and stayed at a hotel which had a window looking at Chuck. E. Cheese’s. I was with my five year old grandson and what five year old doesn’t want to go there ?! I promised him that after the usual sight seeing I would take him . This Past Sunday I followed thru on my promise. It had been at least thirty years since I stepped into one. Back when my daughter was four years old I took her to the first one which opened in Sunrise, Florida. We were met at the door By store manager Camryn Neely. From the start Ms.Neely impressed us : first with the I.d tagging which never existed back then. It is good to know every-child is safe. I found her to be energetic , organized and informative. Her managerial skills are on display everywhere there; from the cleanliness of the store and the number of birthday balloons on the ready for parties planned that day. I enjoyed the way Camryn greeted parents, grandparents and kids alike. All easily warmed up to her . Because of her friendly demeanor, my grandson had a wonderful experience and a great time. Ms. Neely made a day which started with normal parenting apprehension to making my first visit in over thirty years a pleasant one . Kudos to Cam! We will be going back when my granddaughter is of age!!

This place would be 5 stars for their scheduled birthday parties and floor staff. They are seriously awesome! The staff at the door and check out counters/prize area not so much. The door person literally rolled her eyes at me and my mother because we went outside and came back in. That's all. We didn't complain or anything that would typically elicit an eye roll. It was honestly pretty comical but terribly bad service as was the service behind the counters. In both areas while trying to order pizzas and collecting prizes they were sullen and seemingly annoyed even though we weren't doing anything but ordering pizza and collecting prizes. We weren't time consuming or complaining. It was odd.

We had my 7yr olds birthday party here. We reserved our table and purchased a party pack. Our party host was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly attentive and had a smile on her face from start to finish. They helped with every aspect of the party and did everything they could to ensure my son had a great time. The pricing was very reasonable for what you get. It was truly an amazing experience and we will continue to have all our boys' birthday parties here.

My son wanted to go enjoy playing some fun games. It's nice now that they offer unlimited games for set amount of money and time. The downside to that is that it takes too much time to actually start playing the games due to the amount of time it takes to swipe your card, often multiple times. They also are extremely under staffed!

Don't waste your money. I'm sorry but this was just ridiculous. Recommendations at the bottom. We won't ever be returning to another Chuck E. Cheese. Employees look and act as though they despise being there and it reflects heavily all around. No smiles, no friendly greeting or interaction whatsoever. Too many games malfunction or weren't working properly. Games take your points regardless of operation. The playplace is small, dirty, and there is no communication or signs up about broken equipment or rides. Chuck E. Cheese live interaction with the ticket splash is an absolute joke and was depressing to watch every single time. Zero enthusiasm.They claim to do it every 30 on the clock but are late with no communication, which would be fine if they performed like they should or at least appeared to try but it is worse than lackluster. The food took way too long to be brought out for the price, quantity, and quality. We were there for 2 hours but not because we were having a great time. It took way too long to get the food we ordered. We thought they forgot about us, and it was not busy. Lots of time spent walking around trying to find suitable games to try and win tickets. Then there's the ticket rewards, they were atrocious and the most unfair I've ever seen at any type of attraction. 600 tickets for candy? 4000 tickets for a little toy? We earned a little over 600 tickets in the time we spent there with our kids and got 2 suckers that were smaller than dumbdumbs, two tiny plastic butterflies and two cheap plastic slinky's. The employee at the prize counter also deducted our ticket count wrong even with a calculator.... the line at the prize counter was the worst, there's no organization, families cut, attendants only work with one person even if the family is ordering prizes together and they are very slow at retrieving prizes that are right behind them. Again, they weren't busy but somehow trying to claim prizes took way longer than it should have. The birthday parties looked sad and uneventful. We'd be fine being unimpressed here if the kiddos had a good time but this was not the case. We decided this was an absolute waste of time and money, we'd rather make the drive to Round One and spend our money there. It's more affordable, better food, atmosphere, and prizes. There are other indoor playplaces and game rooms nearby that are more worth the price than this place and at least their employees smile. I can name plenty that we've tried that were infinitely better. Amazing Jake's, Round1, Alley Cats, iT'Z, MainEvent, Pump It Up, KidMania, FlightDeck, Celebrations, Altitude... heck even some McDonalds locations were more fun than this.

The kids (4.5 & 3) REALLY enjoyed it. We got the number 1 combo (large pizza & 4 drinks) upgraded to an XL for $3 more plus two play passes. You can choose by the hour or by points. We were going to do by the hour but decided on the points and I'm so glad we did. Instead of the 1 hour play it's like 60 points; most games being 1 point unless it's a 2 player game. We were there about 3 hours and still had points on the cards. It was relatively clean. The beloved mouse came out a few times, danced, passed out some tickets. He's now my 4yo daughter's "best friend"....... While there, not a tear was shed, lunch was enjoyable (the pizza no longer tastes like s***)we even had some other kid eating with us that my daughter had befriended. The only complaint from my oldest was her wanting to see the guy in the mouse suit more. They stamp your arm upon arrival. When you leave they check it to make sure the numbers match up. It's a precaution taken to try and thwart child abduction. With that said, a man had left out the fire door that claimed to sound an alarm if opened-it didn't. To me, that speaks volumes. Don't get me wrong, I always watch my kids. I just feel like it creates a false sense of security and I believe it was designed just for that.

We have always liked Chuck E Cheese, even back when I was younger and now our kids love it. The last few times we went to the Tuscaloosa location many of the machines simply dont work or they dont despense tickets. We went today and several of the machines were still broken that were broken several weeks ago. It wasnt just one or two machines. Many of them either dont work at all or have something wrong with them. If they would keep the machines working it would be a good place.

Best place for a child to celebrate a birthday! Plenty of games for a child to play; arcade of excitement for children of all ages. Car simulation, racing competitively, basketball hoops, all sorts of ways to collect tokens for prizes. The food is reasonably priced and of course, there is the infamous Chuckie Cheese!

I had nephew party there, there was no projection and no show. I had to wait in line for 30 minutes to pay with only child behind counter working. The employee touch food with her bare hand. Very unprofessional, need more mature employees. It was a waste of $250.00, especially when they didn't have a shoe for the kids, if I was informed of this problem or technical difficulties, I would have cancel my reservations. Who child or children wants to come to Chucky Cheese, if they can't see the characters????

Poor experience all-around. No table was clean-- not a single one-- and remained so for hours (probably through closing). Many were piled in trash, while the "clear" tables were covered in sticky rings and streaks. The floors below the tables were littered as well. Our order for pizza to share between our two boys took nearly an hour, and several patrons (before, after, and including ourselves) had to wait through line again to return to the register to demand the staff get the job done. The salad bar offended to me to the point I considered reversing the charges, as we paid $8 each for two parents for a very neglected bar. The lettuce was browning and wilted, never replenished; the other items were in soups of old food and melted ice chips. *IF* a salad bar item received attention, I really think new stock was dumped on top of old. Anything I requested (wipe a table, stock the lettuce, etc.) was met with a smile, then a radio request to evidently nobody, then no action. Employees were c-o-n-s-t-a-n-t-l-y chatting with each other as lines literally formed out the door or impassibly clogged the walking areas (unsafe!). None of the employees would do anything outside their assigned area. There was no visible management, it looked very much as if employees were ducking into the kitchen for a hit of something (by the looks of their eyes and slowness of their responses), and no one was ensuring the games remained operational (several were stuck but still took credits from the kids). It also seems to me that the prizes cost more, now-- my kindergartener accrued 71 tickets and could only afford a Tootsie Roll. Lastly, there was a missed appearance by the guy in a mouse costume, even though the announcement went out and kids had gathered-- nope, they just opened the curtain on the robot mouse instead.

These days it's rare to find good customer service, so when I do, I like to commend it. I visited with my boys this past weekend and met Tracy, the manager at this location. She went above and beyond the call of hospitality. Not just for us, but I saw her interacting with several other customers throughout the night. Thank you Tracy! We were just visiting, no special occasion, but she made my boys feel so special and even remembered their names as we were leaving. We will definitely return!!

Can I say...nightmare! The term customer service has left the building at Chuck E! Starting from the excruciating amount of time to order, to the complete lack of smiles from the staff, to loosing our order, to taking 1 hour and 45 minutes to get our food....need I say more...yes! To being told that they were under staffed...which became OUR problem ...to not apologizing for the complete lack of service...to most of the games being out of tickets! I hope I never have to go back again. Would someone please open another place to hold birthday parties for young children in our wonderful city of Birmingham.

My kids love this place! They have a Chuck E. Cheese mascot that comes out and dances with the kids and everything. They have a lot of great games, with a mixture of old school and new releases. It's very clean, the staff is nice, and the tickets flow freely! Definitely a must visit!

I took two of my granddaughters; at their request; to have dinner and play some games. I bought 2 90 minute cards for the girls. That amounted to $50. That seemed excessive to me. But the food was even more expensive at $43 for 2 personal 6 slice single topping pizzas, 1 3 topping medium pizza and 3 small drinks. As a rule, I prefer a supreme pizza with at least 6-7 toppings however that pizza alone would have cost $13- $14 (tooooooo much). The staff were nothing special.

Most of the machines would not work. They either would not give your tickets or just not work period. I ask for assistance a few times and just got tired of asking Everytime I used one, so we just took a loss with most machines. The first 5 machines I tried just took my points with no play. The lady helping the kids with what prices they could get, was extremely rude as well. Seems like it is ran by a group of teenagers. I've been to this Chucky Cheese a hand full of times and this was by far the worse experience, I'll be trying to fine another one to go to after tonight!

If I could give 0 star I would! This used to be a great location but I dont know what has happening to it. It was a pretty busy night and I'm sure they should have stopped letting ppl come in bc it had to be over compacity. The service was awful and that is an understatement! It took two hours for us to get our large pepperoni pizza which was cold when we got it and when I went and asked when it was coming and what was the hold up before it came the very unprofessional staff just laughed and said they didnt know and one was on her cell phone! The salad bar was a complete mess with lettuce and topping strewn all over the place and it took me 20 mins to get someone to bring out some salad dressing and other toppings that were out! The soda machine area was a mess as well; ice, lids, soda, and straws all over the place! There was four employees working (and they were from the Vestavia Hills location helping) and the other employees were standing around chatting and not doing a thing! Two ladies came out of the kitchen at one point with their gloves on patting there heads which were not covered with hair nets and a customer asked are yall gonna not change your gloves after touching your hair and one of them cursed at her and they both went back into kitchen and continued making pizzas! Every garbage can in the building was overflowing onto the ground and was never emptied the time I was there. Most of the machines were not working or didnt have any tickets! Tables were not being cleaned after customers were done. I cleaned the trash from the previous customers and squirted hand sanitizer all over the table to clean it so we had a place to sit down as well as many other customers had to do this as well bc I saw them and shared my sanitizer. There was trash, food, etc all over the floors. I will NEVER go back to this location again and this was my go to location! The district manager will be getting a call from me bc I found out while I was there they dont even have a manager running this location! To say it was a sh** show is an understatement. The bathrooms were dirty, trash overflowing, no hand soap nor paper towels. Also there was NO one at the door checking the numbers comparing the kids to parents to make sure no one was leaving with someone else's children. Alot of people were very mad not just myself! This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at Chuck E Cheese's

This location is pretty dirty and unorganized. The customer service ranges from horrible to mehh and there are always machines that are down. This location isn’t one of the bigger ones and for some of the machines to be down really sucks. There aren’t many games for toddlers so I wouldn’t suggest this location for a toddler birthday. So frustrated. We have to drive an hour and a half to reach a chuckecheese in two different locations. This chuckecheese is not honoring the tokens that we got from the other chuckecheese. After explaining to the manager that we drove an hour and a half there was still no compensation. The children are here and are very excited, but cannot play. I guess the weekly chuckecheese trips are gone for us. It would have been nice to have at least one comp. But no, not here.

We've been here many times for birthday parties. The pizza, while not the best in town, is fine, especially for kids, but, let's face it, you come here for the games. I'm glad they changed from a credit system to a time system where, instead of placing credits on a game card, they place a certain amount of time, which can be paused once during your visit.

It's okay for what it is. There are plenty of games but no free play so come prepared to spend! Like the other Chuck E. Cheese in this area, it has this overwhelming odor. Our pizzas took forever and we only had two. Also, the ticket counter machines were broken (there were 7, only 2 worked consistently). You can definitely tell it's understaffed. Overall, it was okay for what it was but the CEC brand is not what it use to be.

My mother, my child, and I recently visited the Chuck E. Cheese at the Highway 280 location. We had a great experience. When we walked in, we were greeted by the manager who was multitasking by stamping the children and parents as the entered and working the cash register. He was very patient and helpful with us. Since we were having a hard time deciding what to order, he offered suggestions about packages that would save money while meeting our needs. The food didn't take too long and was good. It wasn't overly busy and all the games were in working order, so my child could play any game he wanted and only had to wait a few times for a game. Occasionally, the employees would go around and play games and fix games that had tickets jammed in the dispenser. Afterwards they would leave the tickets hanging from the machine which allowed the children to easily add to their ticket collection. This was great for young children, like mine, who may not earn as many tickets as the older tickets. Overall, we had a great experience at this Chuck E. Cheese.

We really enjoyed the games, everything was easily accessible, it was a lot of fun. The downfall was waiting almost an hour for the pizza, when it wasn't that busy, and the wings had already come out. The parmesan bread sticks were nothing but air filled bread pockets like dry unstuffed pizza crust. The mozarella sticks were cold, the celery was floppy, the wings were good. When we went to redeem our tickets, the ticket-to-price ratio is ridiculous. Like 60 tickets for a Tootsie Roll, 250 tickets for a slinkie, $9 for a small bouncy ball, etc. I get the reasoning behind it but it's still ridiculous. Then, we also waited right in front of several employees as they all walked around us and didn't acknowledge us at all. We had a lot of fun at the games but I don't think we will be going back any time soon.

The games are less entertaining by modern standards, they just haven't kept pace with todays home entertainment options so the kids get bored more easily. The switch from coins to these little plastic "credit cards for kids" also makes the experience less fun. Lastly the prizes your average pre teen can get enough tickets to win are literally worthless and so very unrewarding for the kids. The food is ok but very expensive, they're pretty badly understaffed too it seems. Overall it's fine as a lazy, easy, way to let the kids have some fun but there's better places to spend an afternoon and 60 bucks.

Is that really doesn't know what they're doing they don't know what they're offering and I don't really think the customer service is there first and only concern. It was the worst ever. Every other game was out of order and if it did work it wasnt given out tickets properly. I had to chase down workers for every game for my tickets. I waited 45 to 50 mins for some cinnamon bread. #pissedandwantbe back

The carpet was dirty with food crumbs and we arrived just 13 minutes after it had opened. Less than 4 people were there till My party of 4 arrived. The little lunch crowd did not justify the mess. The initial host was not friendly and she seemed disconnected from her position. The pizza tastes good as usuall but very greasy cheese. Games are a blast but costly. This is a very expensive lunch.

I had my little girls birthday party here. Service sucked bad even the balloons where half way inflated. Pizza was cold when it got to us. The cake we ordered was the wrong one and in a theme party you figured that would be important but no. Chuck E. Overall the food was great & all of the employees were very friendly & helpful to everyone who was there. I definitely recommend this place to friends & family members for future events!! Was not very pleasant. Food was skimpy, pizzas not that good and for the price you pay at salad bar, not worth it. Food from salad bar was all over floor, being stepped on and not cleaned up. I understand they are busy due to amounts of children, but, they need to hire a couple of other employees to help clean.

There definitely has been a change at this particular location. There seems to be a deliberate attempt to make sure all the games work and it is much easier to use with the new card system. The only complaint, is that there seems to be a wierd variety of drinks for the kids (not to mention adults). I would prefer to see Coca-Cola products, which offers a more desirable selection.

Staff was friendly. The food was prepared fine although the taste was average or leas than. A variety of games and the kids never got bored. I never saw chuck e do anything but look around. It would have been great if he danced. Also, if their were staff members in the game area checking on guests it would be great. All and all it was great for a first time expierence I will go again

Good Salad bar. On my most recent visit, it was clear that they were under staffed. We were there for 2 hours, had to wait a long time for Pizza and the 3 ladies working didn't have time to clean tables or the bathroom. Probably won't go again on Friday evening!
