There's a scam the waiter has going on. When our waiter brought us our check he wanted us to pay cash only when we handed him our credit card. He went through this speech about taxes when I told him I would give cash on his tip then he wanted half cash and half card on our bill. He said he would come back after we checked to see how much cash we had. We handed him our card and said we didn't have cash. We felt very uncomfortable and we won't go back. But I would like to say the food was fantastic.

3 stars for the appetizer. The crawfish appetizer was excellent. The rest of the food... not so much. I had a flavorless gouda burger that I could only eat half of, and the gouda grit cakes were rubbery and bland. I had high Hopes. The place was packed, which is usually a good sign. I just wasn't impressed.

Great local and ambiance. Had crawfish pie, gumbo & fried maters. Not so cajun flavors. Had to ask for bread to go with my gumbo and then was charged for it.(garlic salt toasted) I have eaten at more real cajun eateries than I can count and bread is always served. Gumbo roux was rather scorched. Very nice upscale restaurant and live music but not very homey cajun flavors. Really just plain bread with gumbo with out the charge.

of the 5 times I have been here in the last 3 months I would rate 3 of them 5 star, 1 at 4 star and one 3 star. Food is solid with seafood being the star as one would expect. Always hot and fresh and good flavors. Spinach dip was a little bland and burger overcooked. Salmon was spectacular. Shrimp & grits had a ton of shrimp - maybe could've used a little more sauce. 4 times service was AWESOME - one time I felt like I was annoying the bartender by being there. Live music was great on 2 of the evenings I was there

Great place to eat. Me and the wife came here for our Anniversary. I ate the gumbo and the Blackened Redfish. I have tried Seafood Gumbo just about everywhere you can find it and I can honestly say this place has the best I have ever eaten. The Redfish was incredible. Service was outstanding. This place deserves a 10. We will definitely be coming back soon.

Of course, a lovely location. But we beat rush hour and yet still we had to wait 15 minuted despite all the empty tables. The hostess explained that they were understaffed in the FOH temporarily. The food is all one note and nothing to write home about. I say the place delivers on atmosphere, mixed staff (hostess and one helping waitress were great) and subpar fare.

Ordered the Gouda Burger and Fries to go. There was a very small amount of shredded lettuce when you look closely and like 6 fries. Not my idea of a 15$ burger and fries meal. The meat however did have good flavor I was just expecting a better put together burger.

Being summer, I called ahead and was able to sit at the time I was scheduled. Our server was top notch. The view on the back patio was beautiful overlooking the Bay. Fans were on but not necessary. A band played but wasn't too loud for conversation. The food was delicious, a little something for everyone. It is cajun themed so cajun and cayenne is in mostly everything with a couple of options for those, like me, who aren't the biggest fan of spicy foods. We ordered creme brulee and bread pudding for dessert and highly suggest the bread pudding! We also got a Bushwacker and Bloody Mary which were delicious, as well. Prices are a little high but appropriate for the setting and amount of food. It's a must try restuarant!

The only negative: it was too cold to sit outside and enjoy the live music. Others were but I was too cold. Atmosphere is cozy. Not dark but just the right amount of light to set the mood. Staff was excellent. Kellie went above and beyond to keep our drinks refreshed. Food was ordered and served in a timely manner. Portion size was just right. However the Swamp Cakes and Fried Oyster Platter may leave you feeling stuffed. I'd definitely return.

Excellent experience. 4 of us had dinner one night last week and really enjoyed it. The woodfire pork chop was large and well prepared with a great sauce, the crawfish etouffee was superb, as good as in NO, the shrimp salad looked really good but I didn't try it. The shrimp and grits I thought was really good, but the person who ordered it wasn't happy with the sauce or the grit cakes, but it's a dish that is different everywhere. We will go back for sure, but I wish there were more seafood options on the menu.

We were in Mobile for the 124th reunion of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and 4 of us visited Boudreaux's on Thursday. Enjoyed it so much we brought all 9 of us from North Carolina back on Friday. Everyone was happy with the experience. Just sorry there were no tee shirts to carry home.

For dessert we ordered the Fais do do The Restaurant was clean and tables were cleared immediately after patrons left. There is a large deck with multiple fans overlooking the bay. We visited a few years ago and did not have a good experience then. Today we are glad we tried again.

The bartender was slow and the angel hair pasta came out in chunks and lumps...no crab. Eggplant was greasy and overcooked. The manager Jay was of no help after he agreed my entree was " thrown and overcooked" on the plate and wrong. Only gave us $3 off a $66 tab after I said to him "really?". we used to like it here..NEVER again.

The food and service at Boudreaux's are both consistently good. The setting overlooks Mobile Bay with seating options for inside and an outside deck. We've eaten at the restaurant many times over the last few years. My favorite dishes include the Wagyu sirloin and the woodfire pork chop along with some beignets for dessert. You never go wrong choosing this restaurant with it's great Cajun influenced food!

Good food but way too loud. Went ona Thursday night. Live music was great but hard to hear it over the tables talking around us. Could really use some barriers or plants or something, anything, between some of the tables to help with sound. Server also could have been much nicer. Went there for my girlfriend's birthday. She ordered the Cajun pasta which is her favorite and then they come out and tell us they are out of the bowtie pasta and all they have is angel hair pasta. Me personally, I like angel hair pasta but she does not. My food was good but the trip was ruined because they don't keep items on their menu stocked apparently.

The first thing and real reason of eating here is the view, it is lovely. Wait staff was very good, made suggestions and explained some of the dishes to us. We split one of the specials. Food was good. They have this rice bed that our fish was on that is really good. We also had their bread pudding. It was okay, we have had much better, couldn't taste the rum at all. All in all it was a nice place to eat. Looking forward to trying the steak some time soon. It is a little pricey but not so much that you shouldn't try it.

Limited seafood menu. If you enjoy primarily catfish "bottom feeders" this is your restaurant. If you want Grouper, broiled seafood platter or snapper you're in the wrong place. Overpriced with a limited menu and the food is bland and not Cajun as you might expect along the Southern coast. Tables are so close together you have to tolerate the loud talking of anyone and everyone in the restaurant. Not a location for a quiet romantic evening or first date.

The food is underseasoned and not up to par for "Cajun" fare. Collard greens had so much sugar in them, they tasted like cake batter. I understand that some add sugar to greens to cut the bitterness but this was overload. Shrimp were overcooked and rubbery. Sweet tea was soured and hot. Our service was good. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Excellent food and fabulous service! Just stopped By on our way to FL. Last time I was at this location was 18 years ago when it was the Nautilus, and this restaurant is so much better! Can't say enough about how well Candler took care of us. Had the Shrimp Alfredeaux and the Shrimp & Grits and both had great flavor and seasonings. They were both loaded with shrimp and you weren't left wanting more protein at all. Had a great time listening to the music and enjoying the view of the bay. Will be stopping here on our way back home to try done different dishes!

Been a few times I drive from Grand Bay good food. Went Friday eve 6 29 19 food was excellent seafood platter and shrimp dinner. Maybe server had a bad day. Worst server I've ever had any where. I was so looking forward to sitting out on the deck and enjoying the live music while we ate. It was a Friday night so the wait time was near 30 minutes. We were seated. Band sounded great. Oh but the flies. I couldn't enjoy anything from that point because I was fighting flies the entire time. I wore a tank top and I literally had to swipe flies off my back from under my shirt. The food was great, but I would recommend bringing your own repellent. I don't know why I thought a restaurant with popular outdoor seating would have this problem under control. Maybe lower hanging fans or small repellent lanterns at the tables. Something. We had the grilled chicken alfredo and catfish poboy.

I can rave about the steak but wasn’t that into any of the other food we got, though admittedly I’m not big on Cajun food in general so it wouldn’t be a fair review there anyway. Cool spot for a family dinner while traveling across the Gulf.

We went on a Saturday night around 9pm. Service was great but food was just "okay". When I think of cajun food I expect spicy, well seasoned food. My mardi gras pasta was bland and needed extra pepper and cajun seasoning. The grit cakes were offered spicy or sweet. We got spicy and yet it wasn't spicy and it was bland. It was basically overcooked grits formed into a cake shape with sauce over it. The swamp cakes were delicious. My husband enjoyed his Chicken Madeleine but thought it was a bit over cooked. We may give it a second try.

Great food and our server Joey A was excellent. I had the fresh catch blackened Mahi Mahi with a mango and crab topping served over rice with grilled grape tomatoes. She had the gumbo and it was also very good. Well worth a visit.

They have gator on the menu. Good cuisine and a nice atmosphere. Avoid the patio during the evening, the mosquitoes will eat you alive.

Id give more stars if I could for food taste and quality. But, I can tell you that I've eaten here 3x in the last 24hrs (2 lunches and a dinner) and everything Ive had is really, really good. Two new favs- Shrimp creole and blackened gator See ya later Alligator- yum!
